Female salmonids are called hens… male salmonids are called Roosters… a Salmonid household housing many salmonids is called a Coop… a group of salmonids is called a flock… a Salmonid family is called a Brood… young salmonids (who aren’t at the mature salmonid stage of life) are called chicks/chickens/hatchlings… such is life… they use chicken terms to me… these aren’t the scientific or correct terms these are just the terms comparable to “bro” or “gal” in salmonid world… they’re like dogs but they’re also like chickens… do you understand me
