SAM SULEK X FEM READER WHO DOES PILATES
summary : sam, your boyfriend, is always out filming workout videos for his viewers and you begin to miss him. naturally, you drag him to a pilates class with you.
fit reader , oneshot , established relationship , suggestive topics , no smut
As a bodybuilding influencer, your boyfriend, Sam, was on top of it and as a result always going to events and busy filming things from his meals to his car rides and of course, getting his pump on at the gym. And as much as you’d like to get on top of him, that doesn’t last very long. While you’re proud of his success, you missed your oversized-care bear dearly.
This gave you the idea to surprise him by dragging him to a pilates class - something you’d been doing for years that you knew he’d never tried. It didn’t bother you that he had no interest in it, but what did was his underestimation of pilates. That was going to change today.
“Hurry up Sam! Don’t make us late.” You whinned, practically hauling him out the door as he grumbled unenthusiastically about not wanting to pay more for essentially “bending and stretching.”
The sight of someone as tiny as you pulling a giant like him inside the studio, and succeeding, was a comical display for the women already present in class, earning a few whispers. His massive frame towered over the pilates enthusiasts who were petite in comparison.
Sam reluctantly followed you hand-in-hand and as you two settled onto your respective mats, you couldn’t help but giggle at the sight of him slightly looking out of place admist the sea of colorful Alo bottoms and tank tops.
“Good evening everyone!” The instructor chirped before introducing herself to any newcomers as Alexis. She began to lead the class through a series of movements, explaining each one with precision in a soothing voice. You glanced over at Sam, who was already struggling to keep up with the intricate poses.
Despite his strength and overwhelming size, the graceful movements of pilates proved to be quite challenging for him. You tried to stifle your laughter as he wobbled during the balance exercises and grunted loudly through the core strengthening sequences, earning side looks from the women on neighboring mats.
But Sam was determined to prove you wrong, pushing himself to keep pace with the rest of the class. Sweat dripped down his brow as he tried to retain focus on Alexis’s instructions, his muscles trembling with exertion.
As the class progressed you couldn’t help but feel pride watching Sam be bested. He may have been a powerhouse in the gym, but pilates was a whole different ballgame - one that required flexibility and control rather than sheer brute strength.
Though you had to admit, you enjoyed seeing him like this a lot more then you probably should. Sam in motion is… distracting. You stopped pretending to pose and your eyes linger to his curly locks, wet with sweat and cradling his pink face. It’s a rare occurrence when you see his hair without the cap obscuring it. Simplified, his face can best be described as masculine. But not the overbearing hypermasculinity bodybuilders often seem to have.
Sam’s profile is delightfully male. Despite his skin being almost completely littered with acne scars and wearing a seemingly permanent flushed-color, there’s no denying he’s handsome, facial wise. The shorts he wore were always obscenely short and suddenly you’re hyper aware of the ladies around the two of you. You hoped they weren’t having any ideas, unless they fancied one inchers.
After what seemed like eternity of stretching and contorting, at least for Sam, the class came to a close. He flopped onto his mat with a dramatic sigh, the sound startling you and a few of the women but he seemed too tired to be embarrassed.
“That was tough,” He finally admitted after he gave up on sitting upright, panting deeply as his muscles throughly protest. The sheepish grin spreading across his face betrayed his body language.
You felt a smile forming on your own lips. Leaning over to give him a kiss on his scarlet cheek, you linger for a moment. It’s accompanied with a gentle pat against his solid chest. “You did great, hun. I’m happy you joined me.”
One of the young women peering discreetly from the left side of the room cringed.

You know, as a artist, I really gotta appreciate Sena Riko and, by extension, Marisa' character designs
Usually, their body type is not given to female characters because it's not considered attractive and when it's used, it's usually for a joke so you really gotta appreciate when someone just decides to go for it
Extra appreciation to my Negators in Undead Unluck for the Unbreakable Song of Spring: Haruka Yamaoka!
GO GET 'EM GIRL!

And here's another revenant, Laurel! Born and raised in Ebonhawke by a Vanguard captain mother, Laurel grew up with traditional Ascalonian courage running in her blood. This led to her naively signing up for what would turn out to be a suicide mission, and getting her back torn open by a charr. She survived through sheer luck and playing dead, and after learning that it was her own mother who had authorized the mission and hidden its true nature from the public, she abandoned her name and past life and joined a mercenary group, the Ashen Blades. After years of being tricked and abused under the Blades, she betrayed a Priory caravan she was supposed to be guarding and stole an artifact that flung her into the Mists - only to meet Ventari on her quest for power instead of any useful Legends. The centaur flung her back after a year in the Mists with nothing but her staff, half-destroyed armor, and new healing powers to her name, and now she has at least two groups of people after her for betraying them. Great!
Thanks to his history of being betrayed and deceived at every turn, Laurel is cynical and selfish to a fault. He feels he can't trust anyone, and thus seeks out power and independence above all else. Nearly a decade as a mercenary has made him clever, abrasive, and assertive, and his childhood under a Vanguard captain means he has a fair basis in tactics and general knowledge as well. For now, he and Ventari are in a constant tug-of-war over the path he should take, with Ventari acting as a moral compass that Laurel constantly tries to ignore. Despite all his flaws, Laurel's one saving grace is that his past has given him an intense hatred for injustice. He has no patience for those who misuse their power, and a compassion for those who have been wronged that he can't quite push down, despite his best efforts. Once he gets over his misanthropy and distrust, he'll make a shockingly good leader for a ragtag band of rebels out to get revenge on the people who tried to write them off as sacrifices for the greater good.
#art#gw2#guild wars 2#revenant#my art#oc: laurel#and yes - if you've been here a while you may have noticed I added he/him pronouns to Laurel#it felt right#he's more of the type to lean into the male/female ambiguity of her body and shove it in your face instead of hiding it#gets a survey with only male/female boxes and checks both just to fuck up the data#that kind of thing#plus it's funny because i discovered that if I can pass Laurel off as an anime boy twink I've gotten her build and face shape right

Why Group Training is the Ultimate Fitness Solution?
Group training in a gym offers several benefits, making it a popular choice for many fitness enthusiasts. Some of the key advantages include:
1. Motivation and Accountability
Group Support: Exercising with others can increase motivation as you push each other to perform better and stay committed to your workout routine.
Friendly Competition: Healthy competition in group settings can inspire individuals to challenge themselves more than they might on their own.
Accountability: Attending a group session means others are counting on you to show up, which increases personal accountability.
2. Variety and Fun
Engaging Workouts: Group fitness classes often have a structured, dynamic approach, mixing various exercises (cardio, strength training, flexibility, etc.) that keep the workout interesting and fun.
Social Interaction: Group training fosters social bonds and creates a sense of community, which can make exercise feel less like a chore.
3. Expert Guidance
Trained Instructors: Most group classes are led by certified fitness professionals who can provide instruction on proper form, technique, and intensity. This ensures that exercises are done safely and effectively.
Personalized Adjustments: Instructors can offer modifications for different fitness levels, ensuring that both beginners and advanced participants are challenged appropriately.
4. Cost-Effective
Affordable: Group classes are often more budget-friendly compared to personal one-on-one training sessions.
Access to a Variety of Workouts: Gym-goers can access a wide range of exercises and workout styles within the cost of a single group session, which would be much more expensive if pursued individually.
5. Consistency and Structure
Set Schedule: Group classes have fixed times, which helps participants create a consistent workout routine and make exercise a regular part of their life.
Program Structure: These classes often follow a structured program, which can ensure balanced progression and avoid stagnation.
6. Increased Intensity
Pushes Limits: The energy and enthusiasm of the group often help individuals push past their limits and reach new fitness goals, whether it’s in terms of endurance, strength, or flexibility.
7. Improved Social Interaction
Building Relationships: Group training creates an environment where people can meet others with similar interests and fitness goals. This can lead to lasting friendships and support networks.
Sense of Community: The camaraderie of group fitness can help reduce feelings of isolation and encourage social bonding.
8. Better Results
Motivation Boost: Studies show that working out in a group can lead to improved performance, increased effort, and better results compared to working out alone.
Higher Adherence: The social aspect and structured nature of group training lead to higher adherence rates, helping individuals stick with their fitness routine.
9. Safe Environment
Supervised Training: With professional supervision, participants are less likely to make mistakes that could lead to injury.
Encouraging Environment: Group settings create a positive, supportive atmosphere where participants feel empowered to try new things and step out of their comfort zone.
In summary, group training in a gym combines the benefits of motivation, structure, expert guidance, and social interaction, all of which contribute to a more enjoyable and effective fitness journey.

You do male reader right 🌚🌚 this is the same person who gave you a heads up about the tags (🍪🍪)”sorry if I came off a little rude but I wanna request something 😭🙏🏾
But if so can I get a Sam sulek x male reader where the reader and sam are like gym rivals but like they secretly like each other but won’t tell one another but one a guy or a girl flirts with the reader and sam gets jealous you can finish all from there smut or fluff is good. ( like I said last time have a great day and night 🩷)
You didn’t come off as rude at all don’t worry! (this was originally going to be a one shot buttt i got a little carried away with it 😅) Enjoy!
SAM SULEK X BODYBUILDER RIVAL MALE READER (PART 1)
sam sulek x male reader
summary : a friendly-ish rivalry between you and fellow bodybuilder and crush, sam sulek, quickly turns sour when someone else gets involved.
no smut , jealousy, swearing , pinning , rivals to a little something-something , unresolved feelings , eventual comfort and fluff ( trust ) , i hate the oblivious character trope
You swore you weren’t obsessed.
You swore it when you got out of bed in the morning on weekends. Swore it when the first place you hit was the gym. Even swore it when the secondary and only primary thought in your head was him.
Over the sounds of the gym equipment and the grunts of the people working out, there was only one sound you really heard. Sam Sulek.
Around his initial rise to fame, you had been keeping tabs on his content for a bit. The 21yr old bodybuilder impressing you with his obsessive-like discipline and dedication to the sport. You actually wanted to befriend him at first, seeing as you and him both go to the same local gym and have common goals, but that changed.
You’d always had a tight knit friend group of fitness influencers, some having known you since childhood. But since Sam came onto the scene, suddenly he was hot shit now.
They were practically crowding over each other to get a piece of him. Collabs, pictures, autographs… and suddenly you were irrelevant.
Late nights at the ice cream parlor after workouts and group bowling with your friends morphed into crashing at Sam’s after hours and them ditching you to hang out with the HOSSTILE team.
It seemed like they were always busy whenever you wanted to hang with them, texts left on delivered, and voicemails never returned so on and so forth.
You felt abandoned. You thought about joining them and their Sulek-craze but your pride haulted you. As hurt as you felt, there was only room for one renowned bodybuilder here and he just stepped into your territory.
You assured yourself that he had nothing on you as you had been in the game longer, hence you were more seasoned. But his already massive physique at such a young age just poured more salt in the wound.
Although you knew basing your self worth on the opinions of others would only result in you losing in the end, with the type of “friends” you had, envy and resentment only clouded your view.
Despite your well veiled animosity towards the man, he was nothing but friendly to you. Of course, nice guy Sulek was loved and praise endlessly by his supporters and fans for being so humble and just the totally perfect guy.
Was the jealousy obvious now?
It didn’t help that he was also extremely attractive. You didn’t consider yourself bad looking, but next to Sam? He was the perfect combination of boyish and masculine features. Wide, gorgeous brown eyes, full lips that seemed to always have the sides perked up, but simultaneously the jawline and cheekbones akin to a lumberjack-man.
His cheekbones perfectly contoured the acne-scarred plains of his face, and underneath them his reasonably long, bare and sharp jawline curtained by his pretty curls made him sorta resemble a super ripped fairytale prince.
No wonder he was popular with virtually everybody he met. Despite his massive bodybuilder trademarked-muscles the dude was a supersized teddy bear. Hell, a big baby. Who else drinks that much chocolate milk?
What’s worse was that you kind of liked that. More then you wanted your friends back, you wanted his attention. His admiration. You already had made a name for yourself in the industry, and this guy was already trying to take your spot.
The smiles he flashed you when he caught you looking his way gave a pit in your gut, butterflies flying out of your ass whenever he waved you over. But you never did. You always denied his attempts to get to know you, opting for a cold and mysterious persona in contrast to his chummy one.
Apparently, it made you all the more magnetic because to your friends confusion, he became a regular on-looker to your gym workouts. He even went as far to try to out-lift you, Haha!
You had to give it to him, he was trying hard. Some fans even noticed how similar his personal technique he was utilizing became to yours. You would be flattered, if he didn’t seem to mock you as another hit after basically robbing you of your friend group.
Even so, you couldn’t stop yourself from feeling the way you did towards him, anger aside. It was almost impossible to hate the guy. From his looks, additude, and personality… he had you geeking like a teenage girl while watching his videos.
You considered twirling your hair and laying stomach down on the bed while you rocked your muscular legs back in forth to his car talks, giggling whenever he looked at the camera. Positively cooked.
To not entertain these thoughts for longer, you worked even harder at the gym. Trying to forcibly throw him out of your mind, you focused on your gains and nothing else.
For awhile this worked. You curbed the urge to watch his videos and learned to tune him out at the gym. You even met someone new, a fitness guru named Mia who apparently took a liking to you. Don’t get it wrong, you wanted to make new friends and.. maybe get a girlfriend but you knew deep down that’s what your head wanted, not your heart.
And right now the heart wanted some Sulek.
It was subtle at first—smiles here and there. Compliments. You liked the attention you’d admit, but it wasn’t hers you wanted. No doubt she was pretty. All toned muscle, and you could tell those youtube glute workouts payed off. Always looking put together, clear and tanned skin coupled with perfect french tips every time you saw her. Has she ever had a bad hair day?
It came to a head after a hard workout one morning when Mia approached you as you wiped down a bench you had been using previously.
“Great pump today, right?” She praised, her voice warm as it always was.
“Yeah. You too,” you praised back, trying to keep a casual tone.
“Hey, so I was wondering if you wanted to get a drink at the 24th cafe across the street? Would love to pick your brain about some training tips.”
Her invitation took you aback and you couldn’t help but hesitant. Your eyes darted around the gym and just behind Mia, on a machine was Sam. It seemed he was already laser-focused on you when you met his gaze, expression unreadable. It was like a new tension had been released into the air around you, like an airborne virus.
You knew it would be wrong to lead her on when you weren’t really interested, so you didn’t. You still went out to eat with her, accompanied her on hikes, and even met her rowdy french bull dog, Cookie. All while remaining extremely buddy-buddy with her.
All of the time you spent with her in and out of the gym made you happier. She was funny, smart, and really passionate about maintaining physical fitness. With the absence of your former friends, it seemed like the higher power sent her your way as a trade off for your lonely days.
At the same time, every time you laughed with her and she spotted you, you could feel like you had eyes burning into the back of your skull. Now that you thought about it, Sam hadn’t smiled at you or even acknowledged you in how long?
One by one, your friends that previously hanged around him like groupies completely disappeared and he was working out again by his lonesome. To you it looked like the problem solved itself.
That was until a clip of one of Sam’s car talks appeared on your fyp (you thought you had pressed not interested about a thousand times.) that looked pretty recent. You went to click the not interested option again before the caption caught your eye. It read “Sam Sulek is HEARTBROKEN.” Shamefully, you were intrigued, so you kept watching although you expected it to be merely dumb clickbaity nonsense.
“…You guys know I generally take a stoic approach to working out, because it’s a long term thing. I spoke about how, you know, doing this because your girlfriend left you or to prove something like shit ‘oh I’ll show them’ isn’t sustainable.”
He looks into the camera with a solumn expression before the video cuts ahead.
“ …but I’ll admit. I’ve been going through something…” (cut)
“Don’t make fun of me, but I’ve had a bit of a gym crush for awhile now and they’ve met someone and I think their dating.” He abruptly pauses before continuing, “I’m hurt, of course, and I channeled that into my workouts but like I said it’s not good for you in the long run…”
What?
No way.
Noooo way.
You didn’t like the places this was taking your brain. There was a possibly. And would it be wrong to assume? But there was a number of people at the gym. And his behavior does track… but you’re not over him, and your head’s desperate clawing at straws to connect the dots of delusion will only make you more unhappy.
You turned off your phone.

anyone else have a weird relationship with gender where your body naturally has traits of both afab and amabs because of some sort of hormonal or intersexual experience, so you’re pretty much not really getting that much body dysphoria, but still has the social dysphoria of being called your agab even though calling yourself that and certain terms don’t bother you because you don’t associate them in that way?
#i’m an afab who has a lot of dude traits because i have extra testosterone and was microdosing it since i was 12#like i have a wide build but have boobs.#thick facial and body hair#an androgynous sounding voice#oh i’m also really tall and have short hair#so i get mistaken for a dude#like i’m so both male and female in a sex sense#and i’m so happy i am#i like me#basically saying sex ≠ gender because gender isn’t real and can be whatever you want#when you get assigned a gender it’s just a doctor making a headcanon about you#then you make ur own lore#saltcat text#not-sonic#personal post#long tags#run on sentence#i’m asking to see if anyone can relate because haven’t seen many trans people with this experience 👉👈

there is something so gender affirming about writing about yourself in a professional sense and feeling comfortable about switching pronouns throughout the entire blurb
#for those that don't know#i go by she/they#and i actively use both#i like to say that professionally i am a woman and personally i'm just a taylor#because in a professional sense my gender does matter#it's important that i am a metis woman and a female museum professional and a she who went to art school#those things matter#because being assigned female at birth wholly affects how i act how i got there and how i'm perceived#but that doesn't feel like /me/#my entire exploration of gender is weird and because i'm a femme presenting afab she/they#i don't really talk about it much#a lot of my identity is hidden and I appear like a cisgender able bodied straight white lady#so it feels like another space i don't really belong#even though i have a chronic illness and am bisexual and metis (indigenous) and probably considered either nonbinary or genderfluid#because i know the way i appear gives me privilege and i don't want to insert myself#when my existence can cause harm in those spaces#well that was a rant in the tags i didn't expect to go on but here we are i guess lol#ANYWAYS i'm building a website and i use both she and they in my about section and it feels really nice so why does it need a label!!!#taylor's tirades#about me

"mannerisms, attitude, manner of speech, gender non-conformity, etc."
this isn't really an explanation? why do lesbians all fall into "gender non-confirmity" regardless of their outward aesthetics? there has to be something biological going on.
i mean in my case i was a semi-tomboy, showed no interest in boys, spoke with a deeper voice, walked in a less feminine manner… if someone pointed out my body and argued it’s somehow more like men’s or argued my face is more like a man’s bc of my lesbianism i’d just think they’re lesbophobic bc i can think of several things that made me stand out before even considering that i’m somehow more male than other women. “all lesbians fall into gender non-conformity regardless of their outward aesthetics” no i can think of several who are quite gender conforming and several who have very feminine bodily & facial traits etc i think ur just trying hard to bait ppl into agreeing with the lesbophobic drivel that assumes we are biologically different from other women. if u want to argue we on average may have some more “masculine” traits that’d be one thing but to argue every lesbian totally has a more masculine face or body to the point where we are recognisably different from other women is just ridiculous
#the women i knew were lesbians as a kid were: visibly gnc. showed 0 interest in boys while being slightly gnc. had more masculine mannerisms#nothing about their faces or bodies looked innately more masculine than other women#again i have a more ‘masculine’ (& even then i wouldn’t call it that) body than most lesbians i know esp butch lesbians#it means nothing lol i just have a diff build bc women sometimes have that. it’s like pretending every female athlete must be a lesbian bc#they often are taller or have broader shoulders or narrower hips.

DS9's "Second Skin" once again shaming the Stargate Atlantis writing team by doing an episode they wrote but over 10 years earlier and 50 times better. I went on a rant about "Sunday" vs "Lessons" a couple years ago, but watching "Second Skin" is like seeing what "Michael" could have been if written by people who understood drama instead of only being acted by people who did. There are definitely differences, like we start out having a relationship with Kira which we don't with Lt Kenmore, but with the whole fake identity plot having the person's actual parent there makes it sooooooo much more emotional. (This is what I wanted from "Michael"!! Not just handing him a stock photo that literally looks like it came with the frame and telling him "These are your parents." But an actual emotional connection, any tie for him to cling to to believe your bullshit and not just Teyla being quietly agreeable like whoring her out is the only way you can sell your lies. Because, here in DS9 as well, the lies are so obviously bullshit.) But making it a double blind also, where you lied to the parent as well to make sure you manipulated that honest emotional connection into existing, fantastic, exquisite, Stargate wishes. And in the end the point of the episode is different, as Lt Kenmore is the focus of his episode and Kira is really just the excuse to expose the Legate by having him try to protect his "daughter," but (and as much as I love "Michael") the emotional content here is so much deeper and sweeter. Maybe SGA writers are allergic to honest emotions, or maybe the writers were trying to hedge their bets with not portraying their main cast as being as evil as the Obsidian Order... though if you're going to go with the war crimes go whole hog with the war crimes come on.
#mini rant#ds9 s3 second skin#not to say that star trek doesn't also have a whole HISTORY of issues with non-consensual body modification and their female characters#looking at you tng. Kira wakes up as a cardassian and I was literally like wait I already saw this but with troi and romulans#lmao it's okay SGA you trash show i rag on you but i still love you#can you imagine if Michael Kenmore was an actual soldier who died on the mission but he had a mother or a brother who was also military and#they get read into the stargate program and come to atlantis and get told 'hey here is your loved one. a building fell on him so he has#no memory and also looks different.' And Michael actually had an honest connection with someone and honest affection#AND THEN when it all comes out that he's a wraith with this violent nature (or whatever i think that's bullshit and his anger was about#the lies) he and this relative have to go through this whole heartbreaking realization that they thought they loved each other but#they're on opposite sides of this conflict and are going to probably kill each other. like it doesn't even have to end any differently#just give me deeper drama#my star trek (re)watch
