What Is This Feeling?
Fiyero Tigelaar x fem!reader
summary: you and Fiyero mistake your attraction to each other as loathing.
From the moment you laid eyes on Fiyero, you loathed him. Your classes were important to you and it seemed like all he cared about was having fun which was obvious by the way he never paid attention in class and the fact that he had been kicked out of every other school he had been to. Everything was a joke to him. He never paid attention in class, always giggling with Glinda about whatever they talked about.
And Fiyero felt the same. He hated how seriously you took everything, never wanting to have just a little fun, which you think he had too much of. You were always either studying or taking some sort of notes. He didnât understand why you were always so focused on your studies, why you were so tightly wound. He was wondering if he could help you with that somehow.
It seemed like the two of you made your rivalry everyone elseâs problem, constantly arguing during meals or in the class you had together, always disrupting the peace between all of the other students. It seemed like everyone but the two of you thought that your feud had been a little silly. And maybe it was, but neither of you saw it that way.
What you didnât know, though, was that Fiyero was only doing the whole thing just to get a rise out of you. He just wanted to push your buttons, partly because of how easy it was to rile you up, but mostly because you were just so hot when you were angry. There were so many times when he was close to pushing you up against the wall and kissing you stupid. But he never did. He couldnât. You clearly didnât like him and a kiss between the two of you would have only ever remained a fantasy.
And because of how obvious it was how into you Fiyero was, Glinda made it her mission to make you no longer a romantic option for him. So she made multiple attempts to set you up with other students at Shiz, but to no avail. You could see what she was doing and didnât know why it was so important for her to get rid of you when you didnât even like Fiyero like that anyway. How clear did you have to make it to her that he was all hers.
But still, because she wasnât totally wicked, Glinda invited you to the Ozdust Ballroom where a lot of the other students were going to do that night. And even though you were suspicious of her intentions, you still decided to go, putting on your prettiest dress and hopping on the last boat that was going to take you to the destination.
The second you got inside, you descended the stairs, completely fascinated by the place, completely unaware of the way Fiyero was looking at you, like you had hung the moon. He was so captivated by you and the pretty blue dress you were wearing that caught the light perfectly. He had to have you and he had to have you right then. It was killing him knowing that you could have possibly gone back to someone elseâs room and slept with someone who wasnât him.
You were distracted by his outfit as you approached him. It was covered in different shapes and bright colors and you couldnât believe how good it looked on him, almost as if it were made for him specifically. And knowing Fiyero, it probably was.
Youâd never tell him, but he looked good, hot, even. He always did and you hated how good he always looked on everything he wore, how he made the school uniform work for him.
âY/n,â he and Glinda said at the same time, his tone soft, his smile bright, while Glinda looked very unhappy to see you there, sounding nothing but surprised to see you there despite being the one who invited you.
âWhat are you doing here?â She asked as if reading Fiyeroâs mind. This didnât seem like your kind of scene, but then his eyes caught onto the book in your hand and he couldnât help but smile at how cute he thought you were. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and you brought a book? The two of you couldnât have been more different.
âYou invited me,â you reminded the blonde and Fiyero whipped around to look at her in confusion.
âDid you?â He asked, genuinely confused as to why she would have done that since she had been about as subtle as a gun about how much she had disliked you.
âI did,â Glinda nodded with a smile, hoping, praying that it will score her some brownie points with the man standing next to her. Her arm hooked around his, but he quickly pulled away, offering his hand to you, completely catching both you and Glinda off guard.
âWould you like to dance with me, Miss l/n?â he asked and you leaned to the side to lock eyes with the blonde, silently asking if it was okay. She nodded, accepting defeat and Fiyero led you over to the floor where the other dancing bodies were gathered.
You didnât know what you were doing nor why you were doing it with Fiyero, but you had to admit that you were intrigued. You thought he was into Glinda so you didnât know why he had offered the invitation to you. That was one thing you were finally going to figure out. Well, two, since you wanted to know so badly why he had disliked you.
You tried to move to the beat as you hugged your book to your chest, wanting to protect it as you moved back and forth, trying to not get hit by the people around you. Fiyero let out a laugh and gently took the book from you, stuffing it into the pocket inside his jacket for safekeeping before taking your hands, pulling you to him.
You tried to follow his dancing as he moved so fluidly, something you could never do. And Fiyero wanted to help, wanted to show you just how easy it was to move the way that he did, especially when he was holding onto you.
Fiyero hesitantly hovered his hands over your waist as if asking permission and you nodded, deciding to give it to him. His hands rested on your hips gently and he moved them back and forth the way he was, both of you looking down at the way he was helping you dance. It wasnât a way you had ever done it, so fluid andâŚpretty.
âJust like that,â he said and went to let go, but you grabbed his arms, holding his hands in place. You couldnât let him go, not then.
âStay,â you tell him, your voice soft for the first time when it came to speaking to him. âPlease.â
âOf course,â he nodded, not able to fight the smile on his face as the two of you moved together around the dance floor.
Before that night, you never would have imagined talking to, let alone dancing with Fiyero as he spun you around the dance floor, the two of you laughing as you did so. You were actually having fun and you realized that when you werenât arguing with him, Fiyero was actually really funny and sweet.
He spun you out and once he spun you back in, you found yourself pressed up against a wall, gasping as you took in the position he had put you in. You watched his eyes ick back and forth from your lips back to your eyes and you pressed yourself against the wall even further.
âCan I kiss you?â He asked and even though it should have been obvious by his staring at your mouth, your eyes widened at his question.
âFiyero-â you cut yourself off, unsure how to answer him, unsure as to why you wanted to let him kiss you.
âIâm sorry,â he apologizes immediately. âI should have-â before he can get too far, you grab onto the collar of his jacket and pull his face down to yours, slotting your lips between his before pulling away, fully aware of what youâd just done.
âIâm sorry.â Now youâre the one to apologize and Fiyero smiles in response.
âDonât be,â he shook his head. âThat was-do that again.â You do as he says and grab onto his collar, kissing him again, but this time for longer and with more intention. He was quick to respond, wrapping his arms around your waist as he smiled against your lips since this was what heâd been wanting for a while now.
His lips were pillowy soft and youâre convinced that you could kiss him for hours and not get tired of it. And Fiyero seemed to want the same as he helped you wrap your legs around him as he licked into your mouth, letting it roam around.
You let out a moan, your hands moving to his hair as he pulled you away from the wall, the two of you disappearing down the hallway as he took you somewhere more private. You were still holding onto him as he pressed you into a corner, trying to hide you from the other party goers. He wanted you all to himself and couldnât bear the thought of you in another manâs arms.
âWhat are we doing?â You asked and Fiyero didnât like your tone. It was demanding, almost accusatory. You were so sweet just a moment ago and now that fire, the pure hatred was back in your eyes.
âI thought we were kissing,â he replied with a laugh, his hands resting on your waist. Your face twisted into a glare and that only made him want to laugh more, but he was more set on making you smile again. He liked seeing it and wished you would do it more often. At least, for him.
âI mean this,â you referred to him then yourself. âWe hate each other, Fiyero.â
âIâve never hated you,â he corrected. âIn fact, I really like you. I was only teasing you because youâre pretty hot when youâre mad, especially at me. I actually happen to think youâre sweet.â He pressed a kiss to your cheek. âAnd smart.â Your other cheek. âAnd fucking gorgeous.â This time, your lips, a gentle, featherlight touch, giving you every chance to push him off. But you didnât. You just stood there, letting Fiyero kiss you before he pulled away.
You were glad he was still holding onto you because if he hadnât been, you would have melted at his words. You never thought he felt that way about you and knowing he was just trying to get a rise out of you because he thought you were hot when you were mad only made your panties damp.
Your arms wrapped around his neck as he pulled away, an apologetic look on his face. Now you felt silly for being mad at him when all the hating was one-sided. And deep down, you didnât even really hate Fiyero. As you had gotten to know him, the hatred quickly faded, but you were forced to pretend that you disliked him because feeling any other way towards him felt odd.
But now that you were looking at him, that soft look on his face, everything but comfort and fondness melted away and all you could do was kiss him, smiling into it as soon as your lips touched his.
âWhat is this feeling?â You asked against his lips and Fiyero chuckled.
âI believe itâs called love,â he replied, setting you down on your feet and taking you by the hand. âNow come on, my love, letâs go somewhere more private.â
And Fiyero led you somewhere you could be alone, talking about everything and nothing between kisses, holding each other in your arms, deciding that was the only place you wanted to be for the rest of your lives.

All My Desires
ââ fiyero tigelaar x fem!witch!reader (no use of y/n but i do use she / her. no descriptors other than reader being shorter than fiyero. heâs able to rest his head atop readers when they embrace. jonathan bailey is 5â11â irl so do with that information what you will.
ooc glinda and elphaba, neither want fiyero romantically.
based on THAT scene in bridgerton đââď¸ but obviously changing things to fit my story. finally finished that episode of anthonyâs season and just had to write this
Tension has been building between you and Fiyero for a long time now, and not all of it was good.
The end of the school year was nearing, there was just 1 week of normal classes, followed by a week of final exams. Assuming you passed all those, and you knew you would, youâd finally get to go home for a few months. Youâd finally get away from this place, from him.
Things hadnât always been this tense. In fact you used to be good friends. But then the drama started.
Glinda, your roommate and one of your best friends, had shown interest in Fiyero in the beginning, but sheâd confessed to you that a big part in that was the fact that she didnât want to end up alone.
You pointed out that she was so young and beautiful and had all the time in the world to find someone, that she didnât need to marry the first man to show any sort of feelings towards her.
âI think if youâre not⌠if youâre not in love, you should break up with him. It might be sad for a while, but you donât deserve to be in a relationship where youâre unhappy.â
There were also your unspoken reasons. Like the fact that Fiyero flirted with you just as much as he did with Glinda even though technically, they were together. That reason didnât need to be unspoken, though, since even your pink loving friend noticed.
âMaybe itâs you heâs secretly in love with,â she joked.
You rolled your eyes as you threw one of your makeup brushes at her. âNow I think we both know thatâs not true.â
âI dunno⌠I think maybe you two should get together.â
âArenât you still technically in a relationship?â
Glinda turned to you and shrugged. âI think even he knows weâd never last. Like you said, Iâve realized that part of my attraction to him comes from the fact that I just donât want to end up alone. I love him, but I think we work better as friends. Iâm just saying, I see how he looks at you. Thereâs something there. And if the two of you were to end up together, Iâd be so happy for you. You deserve love, you know.â
âEven if that was something he wanted, you know Iâm considering leaving Shiz and not returning next school year.â
Glinda shook her head, refusing to believe that you leaving was a possibility. Shiz University wasnât the only school that taught magic potions and all that stuff. Before youâd even met Glinda or Elphaba, transferring after your first year was always a possibility.
Both of you were unaware of a certain brown hair, blue eyed individual standing outside of your room door. Heâd come to study with you and Glinda, but upon hearing your conversation, he swiftly turned on his heels and stormed off back to his room.
âââââââââââââââââââââ
About a week after that conversation with Glinda, you were shocked to learn that he was the one who initiated the conversation that led to them breaking up.
You shouldâve suspected that something was up when Fiyero wasnât in Professor Wilsonâs class. It was the one class you heard him say he was genuinely interested in, and heâd yet to miss a day throughout the entire school year. The professorâs favorite thing to discuss, as of late, were what he deemed the big 3. Aliens, androids, and wizards (and witches) were the 3 worst things you could possibly come across and have to fight.
Less than halfway through class, you thought you heard your name being called. But you looked up and saw Professor Wilson hunched over his desk as he graded papers, and your classmates were all concentrating on reviewing notes since final exams would start tomorrow. Assuming you were going crazy from the amount of studying, you looked back to your notebook.
But then you heard your name again, and this time you looked toward the door. Fiyero stood with his arms crossed, and waved at you to come out of the classroom. You shook your head and held up your notebook. But ever the stubborn man, Fiyero simply entered the classroom and approached Professor Wilsonâs desk. The 2 men talked in hushed voices for a minute before your name was called again.
âItâs alright,â Professor Wilson spoke to you. âPrince Fiyero just told me, you may be dismissed early.â You suspected that whatever Fiyero said that allowed this was due to his charm and the fact that you were easily the best student in class. It wasnât even a question of if youâd ace the final exam.
Feeling the heat rush to your cheeks as your classmates all paused their studying to watch you gather your things, you finally exited the room in record time.
âWhatââ
âNot here. Your room,â Fiyero spoke, grabbing your books from you at the same time. You could tell he was upset about something, but you didnât know what.
You had to speed walk to match his stride. âIf youâre upset with me, why are you carrying my books?â
He rolled his eyes as if the answer was obvious. âIâm upset but Iâm still a gentleman.â
When the 2 of you finally reached your room, Glinda and Elphaba were just leaving.
âOh shoot I thought weâd be gone already, sorry!â Glinda pulled Elphaba along, not even bothering to say anything else.
âWhat? Where are you guys going?â You watched as Elphaba turned and shrugged, mouthing sorry.
Glinda, on the other hand, got a big grin on her face as she whispered âgood luck!â while giving you a thumbs up. âActually let me just,â she ran back to you and fixed your hair, then pulled out a tube of lipstick from her purse. She was a second away from applying it on you when Elphaba grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
âGood luck!â She whisper-shouted again.
Now you were more confused than ever. As soon as you walked into the room, Fiyero stepped behind you and shut the door.
When he turns back around, you realize something is genuinely upsetting him.
âWhatââ
âDo you and Glinda make a habit of discussing me when Iâm not in the room, hmm? Were you scheming to break us apart?â
Now itâs your turn to be upset, and you realize he somehow overheard your conversation last week. âExcuse me? I have never schemed to break you apart as you so kindly put it.â
âOh what do you call encouraging her to break up with me??â
You scoffed. âIf you eavesdropped on that part of the conversation then surely you heard everything else as well. I didnât have a goal of hurting you, although I really am sorry that I did. But that conversation wasnât intended for you and I think you knew that. I was telling Glinda that she shouldnât settle, and donât go twisting my words saying being with you is settling. Youâre an incredible man and any woman would be lucky to have you. But that relationship wasnât fair to either of you. I could see she wasnât happy. And judging by the way youâd flirted with others Iâm going to be bold and say that you werenât happy either.â
âNo.â
âWhat do you mean no? Iââ
âYouâre right, we were both unhappy together, had been for a while. But it wasnât others I flirted with. Only you.â
This has you pause.
He continued. âAnd why do you think that is?â
You shook your head and took a few steps back. âNo. Fiyero donât go there. Why are you bringing this up now? Practically all school year youâve been with Glinda despite admitting that you were both unhappy! Donât come at me with questions like why do I think that is. We both know that as much as you flirt and maybe it was just with me, it was all talk. And as much as you were both unhappy I know you wouldnât have just ended things with Glinda on a whim. So what has she done to youââ
âShe has done nothing. It is you. You have made a relationship with her impossible. My flirting with you wasnât just talk, I know that, and so do you.â
âBut why! You heard Glinda and I, right? Then I know you heard me tell her I might not be coming back after final examsââ You were interrupted again, and had lost count.
âThere is nowhere far enough! Do you think that there is a corner of this earth that you could travel to far away enough, to free me from this torment? I am a gentleman, my father raised me to act with honor but that honor is hanging by a thread that grows more precarious with every moment I spend in your presence. You are the bane of my existence⌠and the object of all my desires. Night and day I dream of you, and that it is you Iâm with. You say that it is all talk, but I assure you itâs not. Do you even know all the ways a lady can be seduced? The things I could teach youâŚâ
You shake your head again and take another step back, but Fiyero takes 5 steps forward and puts a hand on your waist as he pulls you closer.
âI did not ask for this. To be plagued by these feelings. But I was going to keep quiet because you were with Glinda and I thought that was what you both wanted. My intent was not to confess my feelings for you the moment that you two were no longer together.â
âI know,â Fiyero reassures you. He leans forward so that his forehead touches yours and you both close your eyes, only for a moment. âBut you do, have feelings? For me?â
âFiyero Iââ
âPlease. I need to know if Iâve just made the biggest fool of myself. What feelings are you plagued with?â
Youâre unsure if you should tell him everything, but ultimately decide that at the very least, he deserves the truth.
âI am driven to distraction every time you enter the room. Itâs why I never study with you and Glinda unless Elphaba is also there.â
âDo you feel for me, as I do for you?â Fiyero puts a hand on either side of your face and moves so that his face is less than an inch from yours. But just moments before your lips touch, you both step back.
You were so caught off guard by his question that you werenât sure how to answer at first. âIs⌠is that why you ended things with Glinda?â
âItâs not the only reason,â his answer came instantly. âI love her, truly. But itâs as she said, we work better as friends. Where you and I are concerned, if I were to remain with her, it would bind me and you together in a way that would have me spending every day of my relationship wanting you. Dreaming of you. Dreading the day when my last thread of honor finally snaps. Is that a future youâd want for us? For your best friend?â
Youâre not given a chance to respond when you hear talking outside of your room. After a few seconds, the voices grow softer and you realize it was only some students passing by. Still, the interruption was enough to scare you and Fiyero a little.
âYou have to go,â a tear falls down your cheek, and without thinking, Fiyero wipes it away. He whispers your name, but you can only shake your head.
As much as he wants to push back and force you to talk, Fiyero can see that youâre close to your breaking point. You need time to be alone, and in truth, so does he. âCan we talk again, before we both leave for the summer?â
Once you nod, he steps forward again. âYou and I havenât even had a chance to begin yet, so I know this isnât the end.â After placing a soft kiss on your forehead, he turns around and exits your room, closing the door softly behind him.
left it sort of open ended, may or may not do a part 2 depending on if more than a handful of people are actually interested.

I can never decide what I like better, a Wicked AU with Elphaba and Glinda as FrUK or USUK. In general, I prefer USUK, but in terms of what fits the characters...I mean, Glinda could possibly go either way with France or America, it's justâ
Loathing is such a FrUK song. I can't really see England and America singing about loathing each other's hair and clothing. đ Popular, too, France seems more likely to diss England's appearance and insist upon a makeover than America.
I suppose America COULD be Fiyero and then it really would be USUK since Elphaba and Fiyero actually get together, buuut the musical is more about the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda. Though I suppose that's still a compromise that technically allows for both?

unadulterated loathing (pt 1)
masterlist
pairing: fiyero tigelaar x fem reader
summary: you are forced to partner up with fiyero on a history project. things donât go as you imagine.

wc: 5.5k
warning(s): reader is stressed to the max constantly. she is kinda mean to fiyero but he's into it so it's okay. mostly fluff
Your fingers were beginning to cramp.
You should have been used to this by now with Doctor Dillamond. Youâd been in his class for a few months now, and you graded essays for him often. He often had a propensity for verbosity, but this lecture had been an especially hefty one in preparation for your midterm projects.
He would be announcing partners before the end of classâmuch to your dismay, for you worked far better on your own than with others holding you downâand you figured you would want to have as much of a head start as possible.
Great Oz, how you hoped you would be paired with one of your friends. Coralie and Ezura were your only contenders for top of the classâElphaba had potential as well, not because of the magic she couldnât control but because of the brain she very well couldâand anyone else would frankly slow you down. Doing a large research paper with someone who didnât care as much as you did would be a drag you didnât care to go through.
Midterms were only the most important thing, for they set the track towards finals and affirmed your skill with your assignments, and your first midterm was potentially the most important thing for, when completed successfully, set you on the correct track altogether.
You tried not to think about it too much (though you failed almost immediately), for you were sure Doctor Dillamond would honor all the work youâd done for him by putting you with a suitable partner.
âI see some of you are getting restless, so I will cut class short today.â Your eyes snapped up from your paper to see the professor smiling, and you could hear sighs of relief around the room. âIâm sure youâre all eager to know your partners for the midterm paper.â
The sighs of relief turned to groans, and you had to agree. Assigned partners should have been considered archaic at this point in time.
Doctor Dillamond trotted back to the projector and, with a bit of difficulty, replaced the image with a piece of paper. Everybody in the class was paired off in groups of twoâyou immediately started searching for your name, squinting slightly to see despite your spot in the front, and the furrow between your brows deepened when you realized you couldnât find it.
You searched instead for your hopeful options. Coralie was with Mayara, Ezura was with Nicholas, Elphaba was with Galindaâof course. You let out a slight huff of annoyance, not just at your disappointment but at the continued lack of your name.
Perhaps heâd merely forgotten. You didnât know how Dillamond could have forgotten you, seeing as you were only his best student and literal TA, but things happened. Your anxieties only grew as you heard the beginnings of whispers throughout the room as your classmates saw their pairings, either excited or dismal.
âClass is dismissed,â Doctor Dillamond said. The room began bustling as students gathered their things, already talking with their friends or searching out their project partnerâyou heard Galinda squeal and saw her grab Elphabaâs hands out of your peripherals. You could only worry your lip between your teeth as you swept everything in your bag, hardly waiting a second before rushing up to Dillamondâs desk.
âYou didnât call my name, professor,â you said, managing a smile as you tried to act like it wasnât killing you. How could he have not called your name? Was there something wrong? Great Ozâ had you been somehow moved out of the class? Was your work not exemplary enough? Your assistance not assisting enough? âI donât have a partner.â
His mouth opened, but you only found yourself continuing, the words practically tumbling out of you.
âOf course, if you intended for me to be on my own then I am perfectly alright with that!â Your smile widened as your fingertips dangled over his desk. âIâ I prefer it, in fact, so if that is it then there is really no issue at allââ
âMr. Tigelaar!â he interrupted, and your head turned on instinct to see the eponymous boy arm in arm with Galinda (who was arm in arm with Elphaba) just in front of the door. âI hope you are not about to leave.â
Fiyero flashed a look at his companions before offering one of those easy smiles he seemed to always have up his sleeve. âYou dismissed the class. I believe I am part of your class, am I not?â
âYou are,â he said, âbut you were not assigned a partner. Surely you wouldnât be trying to get out of the project.â
Your free hand clenched as the threads started to connect. Doctor Dillamond wouldnât do this to you. Would he?
That easy smile remained on his lips as he turned to Galinda and whispered something in her ear. She giggled and pecked him on the cheek before she walked out, pulling Elphaba behind her, and Fiyero sauntered over.
âOf course Iâm not trying to get out of it,â he said. âWhyever would you think so?â
âYour attempt at a quick exit before you could be assigned a partner,â the professor said. âBut it is no matter, for your partner is right here.â
You blinked. He would do this to you.
Why would he do this to you?
âWell, pleasure to meet you.â He held out his hand. âFiyero Tigelaar.â
You ignored him, for you couldnât look away from Doctor Dillamond. Would it be mad for you to strangle a Goat?
âProfessor,â you said, trying to keep your voice steady, âwhy?â
âMr. Tigelaarâs grades in my class have not been satisfactory, as Iâm sure he is aware.â Dillamond moved away from his desk, prodding the chalkboard with his head to move it out of the way. âI care about all my students, even if they seem not to care for my course. I believe a partnership for the two of you would be beneficial.â
Your jaw clenched. âSo youâre forcing me to tutor him because he hasnât got a brain.â
Fiyero chuckled. âOuch.â
âNot tutoring, just working on your midterm together,â he said. âAnd if you end up teaching him a few things along the way, then we would all be better off, wouldnât we?â
âProfessor, with all due respect, this is ridiculous!â you exclaimed. âWhy should I have to risk my grade, my midterm, my standing altogether at Shiz just to help him?â
âShould you perform the way that is typical of you, there should be no issues.â Doctor Dillamond gave you that professorly look and your teeth grinded against each other. How dare he try to take the moral high ground. âNow, the two of you better hurry off. You havenât got forever to work on this project.â
âProfessor,â you whispered, determined to not let up, âwhy are you punishing me like this?â
âIâm not punishing you, my dear.â
âFiyero couldnât care less about any of this,â you insisted. âIâm going to fail my midterm and it will be all his fault!â
âIf you believe he can make you fail, then you havenât got as much faith in yourself as I believed.â Doctor Dillamond looked at you. âTrust meâand yourselfâthat this will all work out.â
You stared backâit was rather difficult to have a staring contest with a Goat. âI donât suppose I can change your mind on this?â
âYouâd be correct.â
You huffed and glanced away. âFine. But expect those test scores to take an extra day.â
He let out a bleaty sort of laugh while you walked away. You considered it a credit to yourself that you held back the childish tantrum you wanted to throw as you moved back over to your desk to gather the rest of your things. You shoved your books into your bag with a bit more anger than necessary, and you heard footsteps behind you. You glanced over to see Fiyero sidled up beside you, leaning against the desk next to yours.
âSurely you wonât be this irritated at me the entirety of our project.â He still had that unbothered smile on his lips, and it made you want to hit him. âIt might make this a much more miserable partnership.â
You let out a mirthless laugh as you shouldered your bag. âDonât act like this pains you. Youâre just going to ride my coattails the entire time.â
âYou know, I hadnât even thought of that,â Fiyero mused. âBut now that you bring it up, I just may have to.â
âFor the love of Oz,â you muttered to yourself before mustering the strength to look up at him. âI have a myriad of things I need to do today. Why donât you go bother your girlfriend for the rest of the day, and then you can meet me at the library first thing tomorrow morning so we can discuss all of this.â
He shrugged. âSounds alright to me.â
âGood,â you said. âBecause I meant every word I said back there. I will not have you ruining all my progress thus far because of your absolute refusal to think.â
âIt looks as if you could take a page out of my book,â Fiyero said. âYou seem awfully stressed.â
Your lips tightened into a mirthless smile. âIâm stressed because of you, Fiyero, and we have hardly even interacted. I dread to think of my mental state after a week of working together. Now, good day. Iâll see you tomorrow.â
You swept past him and walked out of Doctor Dillamondâs classroom. You felt his eyes on you until you turned the corner, and you had to resist the urge to look back.
Oh, how you loathed group projects.
-
The rest of your day was far more demanderating than it should have been, and you blamed Fiyero for it. You swore the clock went by half as quick and your lectures twice as longâit didnât help that you were so distracted in chemistry that you nearly burned your eyebrows off from a potion gone wrong.
Youâd practically thrown yourself onto your bed when you got back to your dorm, and you didnât get up until your roommate got back and demanded to know what had gotten into you. She didnât exactly give you the response you wanted.
âThe prince is your partner?â Coralie sighed dreamily. âOh, you are so lucky.â
âLucky is not the way Iâd put it,â you mumbled, words muffled by the sheets. You finally tore yourself up off your bed and picked your nightgown up from atop your dresser. You went behind your folding sheet and began to change. âAnd I didnât know you had eyes for Fiyero.â
âI hardly have eyes for him,â she said wryly. âI just have eyesâanyone can see that heâs attractive.â
âIt doesnât matter how attractive he is if he makes me fail this midterm,â you said. You straightened your nightgown then folded your school uniform while you walked back into the open, passing a glance at your roommate as you placed it on your desk. You then settled on your bed with a huff. âI just donât understand why Doctor Dillamond is punishing me like this. It makes me reconsider all those late nights spent grading papers for him.â
Coralie shrugged. âYouâre one of his best students, Fiyero is probably one of his worst. I bet Doctor Dillamond figured you would be happy to take him on, what with how happily you take on everything else he throws at you.â
You grumbled as you laid back against your pillows. âI just donât know if I can take him on. Fiyero seems to care more about flirting with every student at this school than any actual material.â
She gave you a mischievous smile. âMaybe heâll turn the full force of his affections on you in return for your studiousness. Oh, how that would be a sight to see.â
âDonât even put that idea into the air, Cora,â you scoffed. âBesides, heâs clearly involved with Galinda. Even if I was interested, which Iâm notââ you emphasized with a pointed look at herâ âthat isnât something I want to touch.â
âWell, you canât deny that heâs dreamy,â she said. âHe just showed up at Shiz and people started falling left and right. Itâs more impressive that you havenât.â
âBecause Iâm here for one reason,â you said. âHis whole⌠thing doesnât fit into any of it.â
âI know,â Coralie mused as she fell back onto her pillows. âYouâve told me your whole plan ten times over. I just think you should also try to enjoy your life instead of bulldozing your way through it.â
You rolled your eyes with a smile. âIâm enjoying my life just fine, thank you.â
Interestingly enough, Fiyero was going through something similar a myriad of rooms away.
He laid on Galindaâs bed, his head in her lap as she trailed her fingers through his hair. Sheâd been going on about something for the last couple of minutes, but he hadnât really been able to focus on any of it.
âDearest, did you not hear what I said?â
Fiyero blinked at the sound of Galindaâs voice. He hadnât indeed.
âIâm sorry, beloved.â He absentmindedly reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze once he found it. âI was thinking.â
Elphaba laughed from across the room. She sat on her bed with a book in her lap. âThatâs a first for you.â
âIt is,â Galinda said, though with much more concern laced in her voice. Her hand moved from his hair to his forehead. âAre you feeling alright?â
âJust fine,â he assured. âWhat was it you were saying?â
âJust lamenting on how awful it is that weâve been separated for this project,â she sighed. âIâm sure I could persuade Doctor Dillamond to put us in a group of three.â
âYou canât even get him to pronounce your name correctly,â Elphaba said wryly. âHow could you get him to do this?â
âWell,â Galinda huffed, âmaybe you could do it. He appears to like you more than me.â
âIâm sure that really hurts,â she said.
Galinda placed her hand on her chest. âIt does!â
âItâs fine,â Fiyero interrupted. âIâm alright with my partner. Sheâs nice.â
âNice?â Elphaba scoffed. âI heard her lecturing you the whole time we were out in the hallway.â
âSheâs passionate,â he decided. âBesides, I donât really care. I havenât thought about it since she left.â
That was a complete lie. In truth, Fiyero hadnât been able to stop thinking about you since you left. Very strange for someone who preferred to go through life with less thinking and more doing.
He honestly didnât know why his mind was so occupied with you.
Heâd always been aware of you, obviouslyâall your professors adored you, your name was always brought up when talking about top of the class, and he was sure you held the record for most time spent in the library at onceâbut he didnât know anything about you other than your academic record. And for someone with such strong opinions, especially about him, Fiyero found himself with the strange need to know more.
He would be at the library tomorrow. Maybe not on time, but certainly there.
Fiyero would make this the beginning of a beautiful partnership, one way or another.
-
True to your word, you were in the library bright and early after a quick stop at the dining hall. You went through the effort of gathering everything you thought you would needâa myriad of textbooks and encyclopedias, your well-weathered notebook and another one for Fiyero because you doubted he had one, and enough writing material for the two of you.
You sighed. You had to do so much just to even the ground between your groups and the others. Coralie was always so prepared whenever you worked together.
Fiyero, to your surprise, was only ten minutes late. You already had your head buried in a book when he said your name and scared you witless.
Your eyes widened as they darted up to look at him, and he chuckled.
âSorry. You were in the zone.â
âI just wasnât expecting you,â you said. âYouâre late.â
âHardly.â Fiyero took the seat across from you, his eyes sweeping over everything you had on the table. âYouâve got quite a collection.â
âI doubt you know your way around the library,â you said.
âI know my way around a lot of things.â
You leveled your gaze at him. Leave it to Fiyero to make everything an innuendo. âAnd is a library one of them?â
âIâm sure I could make it one.â
âIf you bothered to think at all.â
âDarling, you know Iâd never,â he said with a smile. âNow, what are we doing here?â
âDo you really not know what our midterm is?â you marveled.
âI have more important things to worry about,â he said.
You scoffed and shook your head. Ridiculousâ it was ridiculous that you had to put up with this. Maybe Doctor Dillamond really did hate you.
âOur assignment is an extensively researched ten page paper on any great Ozian,â you said. âAnyone who has contributed to our society in a relevant way and made our lives better for it.â
âA ten page paper?â Fiyero frowned. âThat seems a bit much.â
âBetween the two of us, itâs just five pages each, and weâve got two weeks to get it done,â you said. âIâve written five pages in a few hours of inspiration.â
âYour life truly sounds thrilling,â Fiyero said. âWe could do the Wizard.â
âHalf the class is going to do the wizard,â you scoffed.
âBecause heâs a great man,â he said. âThereâs no shame in it.â
âThere is absolutely shame in copying half the class,â you said as you pushed over a sheet of paper to him. âNow, Iâve already got a list going. Look it over; see if thereâs anyone you like or anyone worthwhile you want to add.â
You looked back down at your encyclopedia, opened to your personal favorite choice, and continued scribbling down basic notes. You glanced up a few moments later to see Fiyeroâs gaze hadnât wavered from you.
You frowned. âIs there a problem?â
âYouâre awfully prepared,â he said instead.
âI figured you wouldnât be,â you responded.
Fiyeroâs lips quirked in a smile. âThen I believe that means you deserve to choose our subject.â
Your frown deepened. âReally?â
âAre you always this suspicious of everyone?â
âJust you.â
âThen consider this an olive branch,â he said. He slid the paper back over. âWhoâs your top choice?â
ââŚIlara Mayfair,â you finally said as you pointed at her on the top of your list. âShe was a historical linguist, responsible for half of what we know about Ozian languages and how they connect and differ. SheâsâŚâ you cleared your throat and shrugged, trying to make it sound like it wasnât a big deal, âsheâs kind of my hero.â
âYour hero?â Fiyeroâs eyebrows rose. âIs that what you want to do?â
ââŚItâs always been my dream,â you admitted. âI grew up helping around my parentsâ bookstore and her mark was on nearly everything. I really admire it. I want to make that sort of difference in the world.â
âHow noble,â he remarked. What surprised you was how genuine he sounded. âItâs impressive how much of your life you have planned out already. All Galinda knows is that sheâs majoring in sorceryâshe hasnât really got anything else worked out.â
âWhat are you majoring in?â you asked.
âUndecided,â Fiyero said. âI was kicked out of my last school before I could declare, so I figure thereâs not really a point in doing it here.â
âNot really a surprise,â you said.
âReally?â
âOn your first day, you snuck off campus with half of Shiz to go dance at Ozdust,â you said. âThatâs not exactly a good first impression.â
âIâd argue the opposite,â he said. Fiyero tilted his head, his eyes narrowing as he focused on you for a moment. His gaze made you uncomfortably aware of yourself. âI donât recall seeing you there.â
âThatâs because I wasnât there.â You looked back down at your encyclopedia to avoid his eyes. âI had more important things to do.â
He frowned. âDo you ever take a day off?â
âOf course,â you said. âThere isnât any class on the weekends.â
âI mean with this,â he said, gesturing at all the books around you. âIt doesnât seem like you allow yourself a single moment of respite. When youâre not in class, youâre studying. When youâre not studying, youâre doing work. When youâre not doing any of it, youâre probably dreaming of your future assignments.â
You felt your skin heat. Surely you werenât that transparent.
â...I donât dream of them,â you defended. âNotâ not always.â
He laughed and shook his head. âYouâre ridiculous. Do you know that?â
You frowned. âHow am I ridiculous? Youâre incapable of taking a single thing seriously.â
âAnd youâre incapable of not taking everything seriously,â Fiyero said. âIt canât be good for your health.â
âI plan to get out of here a year early,â you said, looking back at your books. âI canât slack off like you do if I want that plan to come to fruition.â
âOh, Iâve gotten out of every school Iâve been in a year early,â Fiyero said. âSometimes two or threeâ Oz, sometimes I donât even make it through the first semester.â
Your eyes snapped back up to him, widened in instinctual panic. âWhat?â
He burst out laughing, and it grinded every one of your gears. âOh, I wish you could see the look on your face! Itâs pricelessâ truly priceless!â
âYouâve been kicked out of every school youâve been to and you think itâs a joke?â
Still laughing, he shrugged. âIt is. Nothing bad has happened, and Iâm still having the time of my life wherever I go.â
You just shook your head as you stared at him, eyes still wide. âAre you always like this?â
âUtterly charming?â
âEntirely insufferable.â
You didnât understand how he laughed. Everything rolled right off him, like oil off a duckâs back, no matter how many times you insulted him.
âYou know, there are other things to life than your studies,â he said.
âNot while Iâm here, there isnât,â you said. âItâs the whole point of university.â
âThe point of university is to have fun,â he said. âYouâve seen how this place has perked up since Iâve gotten here, havenât you?â
âNot really, no,â you said. âIâve been more focused on other things.â
âLike?â
âLike my studies.â
âItâs like Iâm talking to a broken record,â he marveled. âHave you ever had fun in your life?â His eyes widened comically. âDo you even know what the concept of fun is?â
âHa ha,â you said dryly.
He tilted his head. âDo you?â
You frowned. âOf course I do.â
âOkay, then.â Fiyero leaned back in his chair. âTell me about yourself.â
Your frown deepened. âWe arenât doing a research paper on me.â
âWeâre working together on this,â he said. âIs it a crime to want to know my partner?â
A muscle worked in your jaw as you stared at him. He stared back, entirely unaffected.
âIf I humor you, will you actually work with me through this?â
Fiyero held up his hand. âPrinceâs honor.â
Finally, you broke. You folded your arms with a short sigh then glanced away. âFine. Iâm from a tiny village in Gillikin that youâve probably never heard of. Iâm here on scholarship with the plan to graduate, become a historian, and make a name for myself.â You looked back at him. âIs that good enough for you?â
âItâs excellent,â Fiyero said with a smile. âDare I say Iâve learned more about you in one short day than I have in the entirety of my time at Shiz?â
You gave him a fake smile as you tapped your book. âOpen your textbook. We have a lot to catch up on.â
He raised his eyebrows. âYouâre not going to ask about me?â
âI mean this with all due respectâwhat could there possibly be to know about you?â You raised an eyebrow as you counted off on your fingers. âYouâre from the Vinkus, youâre a prince, and youâve never read a book a day in your life.â
âOh, thatâs not true,â he chastised. âIâve read at least oneâI just choose not to.â
âWell, how about we make that two?â You reached across the table and opened his book for him. âUnless that princeâs honor isnât worth a thing.â
âOh, itâs worth everything,â Fiyero said.
You raised your eyebrows expectantly. âThen prove it.â
âVery well,â he nodded. âI believe I can be serious for the next⌠fifteen minutes.â
âYou wonât even get through a chapter,â you said. âThirty.â
Fiyero frowned. âYou set awfully high expectations.â
âWhy do you think Doctor Dillamond forced me to help you?â you asked.
âBecause youâre oh so nice and charitable?â
That got a genuine laugh out of you. If youâd been looking closer, you would have seen Fiyeroâs smile grow, his eyes soften.
âOf course. Now, go to the glossary, find Ilara, and start writing. I know practically everything about her already, so you need to catch up.â
âI donât haveââ
You held out your extra notebook and fountain pen and cocked your head. âDonât have what?â
Fiyero chuckled as he took them from you. âYouâre prepared for everything, arenât you?â
âAlways,â you said with a satisfied smile. âNow get reading, my prince.â
He pressed his hand to his chest and bowed his head. âAt once, my lady.â
-
You looked at the clock on the wall. Fiyero should have been here by now.
Granted, he was ten minutes late to your first meeting, but that was before heâd changed your expectations ever so slightly. Almost an hour had passed, and there was still no sign.
Of course, it wasnât as if it hindered your progress. You kind of always expected him to fall shortâif he showed at all, that was a credit to himâso you already had half the outline done. But a small part of you that youâd never admit to might have actually been looking forward to his presence.
You enjoyed the bout of verbal sparring he engaged you in. A lot of your classmates thought you were mean, and it never bothered you. Like you told Fiyero, you were here for one reason and one only, and the amount of people that liked you at university didnât influence that at all. Your professors liked you and your grades were perfectâthat was all.
But you couldnât lie and say it wasnât⌠nice. For Fiyero to take everything you said in stride, with a smile and a retort of equal measure.
It was nice. But that was all.
You were jarred out of your thoughts by someone calling your name. You looked up to see Fiyero sauntering over, bearing his usual smile and not much else.
âThis is a library,â you said once he got closer. âYou arenât supposed to shout.â
He took the seat across from you. âIâd hardly call that shouting.â
âYou arenât meant to be loud,â you decided. âWhy are you so late?â
Fiyero shrugged. âI lost track of time?â
âYou know, we are partners,â you emphasized your last word, âso it would be helpful if you could try to put in the same amount of effort as me.â
âThat seems impossible.â He gestured at your notebook with his head, your current page already nearly full. âYouâve got me beat on nearly everything.â
âItâs not that difficult,â you intoned. âI mean, just do some research outside of class.â
He stared at you expectantly, and you rolled your eyes. âI donât know what I expect with you, honestly.â
âExactly what you see, darling. Now,â Fiyero's gaze drifted over to the window, then looked back at you as he stood up, âwhat do you say we put a hold on things and enjoy this beautiful day?â
Your brows furrowed. âWhat, you mean do our research outside?â
âIs your work truly all you think about?â he asked in exasperation. âI mean leave the books and your notes and your stress here, and take a stroll around campus.â
âIâve had my entire life planned out since I was ten years old,â you said. âOf course it is. I am not going to have someâ someââ
âSome what?â Fiyero interrupted. He still looked remarkably unaffected by your outburst, that sideways smile of his infuriatingly charming.
âSome ridiculous, pompous, self-absorbed, lazy Winkie prince ruin it!â you exclaimed.
âLazy,â he mused. âThatâs a new one.â
âOf course youâre lazy! Why would we take a break when we have a project to do?â
Fiyero looked at you like you were crazyâ no, like he was worried about you. He shook his head. âYou really do have a one track mind.â
âWhen weâre in midterm season, yes, I dâ what are you doing?â
Fiyero had started stacking all of the books you had on the table away from you, then he grabbed your notebook and your pen out of your hand.
âYou need a break,â he said.
âI donât need a break, and give that backââ
You reached for your materials but only just grazed his hand before he pulled them back and set them on top of the pile. âWhen was the last time you saw the sun?â
You scoffed. âI see the sun all the time.â
âNot from a window in the library or your dorm.â
You bit your tongue. Fiyero smiled and held out his hand.
âYou need a break.â
You stared at his hand. He gave you a cloying look.
âItâs not a good sign that youâre this against self-care,â he said wryly.
You sighed and reluctantly placed your hand in his. âFine.â
Fiyero grinned and he pulled you close. You yelped at the unexpected speed and you tumbled into his chest. Fiyeroâs hand dropped to your waist, and for a moment all you could do was stare at him, wide eyed.
âShall we?â he murmured.
You jolted away from him once you came back into yourself, your skin burning where heâd touched you.
âWe shall,â you said, a bit too forcefully as you started walking a bit too fast.
Fiyero chuckled. He matched your pace easily, soon coming up beside you. âYouâre already that excited?â
âOh, shut up,â you bit out. âYouâve already gotten what you want. No need for more.â
He feigned naivety. âWhat would I possibly be doing?â
You shook your head with a huff. âIâm not entertaining that with a response.â
Fiyero simply hummed. You glanced over at him, still staying even with you, and then you let out another huff as you stopped. He didnât miss a beat, pausing at the same time as you, then met your flustered expression with a smile.
âYes?â
âYouâre the one that wanted to do this,â you said, gesturing in front of you with a hand. âSo lead the way.â
âGladly,â he said. âIâm very good at taking the lead.â
Fiyero started walking and, though you had half a mind to take the opportunity and dart back to the library, you found yourself following him.
Coraâs words spun around your head as you and Fiyero walked together, about him turning the full force of his flirting on you in return for you being such a stickler for your midterm.
That was the embarrassing thing; you didnât even think this was half of it, and he already had you blushingâand for what? It was as if youâd never even talked to a boy before.
Youâd had plenty of experience back home. Village boys coming into your parentsâ store to flirt at you, leaving notes in your desk in class, offering to walk you home at nightâplenty of experience.
It didnât matter that you denied them all and never went anywhere because you had a one track mind even then, and that Fiyero had done what no one else had and gotten you take a break simply because he asked nicelyâ
You sucked in a sharp breath as Fiyeroâs arm suddenly pressed against your chest, stopping you in place. Your head snapped up to look at him, mouth already open with questions loaded, but he gestured with his head before you could ask any of them.
Youâd nearly barreled right down the stairs from being lost in your head, without care nor consideration for actually taking the steps.
âMind the gap, darling,â he said. âWouldnât want you damaging that brain of yours.â
ââŚThank you,â you said once youâd regained the ability to speak words again. âOne of us ought to have one.â
Fiyero laughed as he took his arm away. âCertainly.â He used it to gesture down the stairs. âLadies firstâunless youâre unsure of your ability to conquer them.â
âIâll be just fine, Fiyero.â You started the descent, Fiyero right behind you, and you let out another short sigh.
There had to be something wrong with you. That was the only explanation for why you were acting this way.
Maybe you really did need to start getting more sleep.

RERUN ââ Fiyero x fem!reader
author's note; this took longer than expected, i'm sorry! but here we are <3
prompt; "Admit it you missed me." "I certainly missed kicking your ass, if that's what you mean." for Fiyero x Reader? (maybe they knew eachother as kids?)
summary; fiyero's arrival in shiz university had everyone in a frenzy, but especially a certain lady from winkie country
side notes; i'm using a surname for the reader this time but its not an oc, feel free to imagine your own name! (i just didn't wanna use y/n). never read the books, so if i say anything about the vinkus/ winkie country is purely from google searches and maybe even made up by myself idk đ
ââ â. *. â
The newspaper pretty much hit her in the face.
She'd been walking in the courtyard, intending to head back to her dorm to get ready for her classes after an early morning jog. But the newspaper that somehow flew from a stack on one of the tables quite literally smacked her in the face.
She grabbed it with a huff, about to throw it aside. Of course, until the headline of the latest report from The Shiz Gazette caught her eye.
Prince Fiyero Spotted at Shiz!
She read it over and over again. Looked at the picture they'd printed repeatedly. Then she tossed it onto the floor, quite literally stomping over it as she ran back to her dorm.
When was the last time she saw that stupid, handsome prince? They were both younger then. Their separation was mainly because he could never for the life of him keep himself in one school â there was always something he did that had him transferred to a new one.
She'd thought that now she was in Shiz, maybe they wouldn't meet again. After all, it was quite a prestigious school. Maybe his nonchalant, slacking attitude would have him rejected the moment they saw his name.
She was so wrong.
He was here. Fiyero Tigelaar was here. The Winkie Prince. The boy she grew up with. The boy who stole her butterfly clips for no other reason than to make her run in the rain to catch him. The bane of her existence.
She was sure the universe was conspiring against her. The second she'd changed into her uniform, she left her dorm. Admittedly, it wasn't the typical blues that everyone wore. She was one of the few with a different shade; greys and lighter blues instead. She intended to head straight for her first classâ only to find a small crowd gathered outside.
That horse. Oh, she knew the horse. She recognised the bloody horse before she even saw the person.
When someone finally moved their head out of the way, she caught sight of Fiyero Tigelaar himself. He was by the directory board, figuring out the layout of the place. Galinda was there too, no doubt trying to offer some touring services. He turned his head, about to respond to the blonde girl â when his gaze drifted over the girl's shoulder and found a familiar face.
A smile immediately broke on his ridiculously handsome face, his hand raised for a wave. It was as if everyone's attention immediately snapped to her.
She sighed inwardly, her eyes narrowed. The slightest nod was all the acknowledgement she gave him before she turned and trudged off elsewhere, avoiding him at all costs.

She'd heard of his little escapade to the Ozdust Ballroom, bringing quite the group of students with him for a night out in town. Already he was rubbing off on everyone, influencing them into his bad habits.
Fiyero had been in Shiz for a week now, and she'd successfully avoided him. But of course her peace and quiet couldn't last forever. In the back shelves of the library, as she skimmed through the book bindings to find a history book â she was loudly interrupted.
âLady Yarrow.â
She nearly dropped a book with a gasp, startled by the sudden intrusion. Then she was quick to hush the person, spinning on her heels to see Fiyero's smug expression.
âThis is a library,â she pointed out.
âReally? It was introduced to me as the âbookplaceâ,â he hummed, looking around as if it was a new discovery.
She rolled her eyes, inhaling deeply to prevent herself from yelling at him like she used to back when they were in Winkie Country.
âLibrary,â she repeated. âAnd you're meant to be quiet.â
Fiyero grinned, knowing she was getting ticked off already.
âAnd is this ever-present tension a new development? Or have I forgotten how easy you are to rile up?â he teased.
The young girl he knew was always sensitive, took everything to heart. They weren't necessarily best of friends but they weren't enemies either â or so he believed.
âWhy are you here?â she deflected with ease as she turned back to searching for her book.
âI wanted to read.â
âHa!â
âShh, its a library,â he exclaimed in a mock whisper, repeating her earlier words as she shot him an exasperated glare.
âWhy are you in Shiz?â she asked instead, moving on from the topic.
âTransferred from Royal Winkie.â
âKicked out, I believe is the right term.â
âOh so you have been keeping up with me?â he exclaimed, a bit of a giddy grin on his face as tailed her through the shelves.
When she didn't respond, he just skipped his way until he was in front of her. He walked backwards as she moved forward, still looking through the titles.
âI haven't. But you know our parents,â she grumbled.
âAdmit it, princess, you missed me,â he teased, poking at her shoulder.
She swatted his hand away, looking up at him with narrowed eyes. He was still as insufferable as ever.
âI certainly missed kicking your ass, if that's what you mean.â
Fiyero chuckled at that, but he persisted anyway. He just kept shadowing her through the library, pestering her with random teases or jokes even until she was leaving. Even then he followed her.
She just couldn't seem to shake him even if she tried.
âPrincess,â he drawled, knowing full well how much she hated when he called her that.
He couldn't help it though â getting on her nerves was his hobby. Not to mention, he hasn't seen her in years.
She ignored him though, continuing to walk through the halls and towards the garden instead. Fiyero knew she was stubborn, but so was he.
âIgnoring me won't make me go away,â he pointed out.
âThrowing a log at you might.â
His laugh was awfully gleeful for someone who just got threatened. When she settled at one of the tables in the garden, she noticed he wasn't directly with her anymore.
Just as she thought she was free of his torment, there was a daffodil suddenly in front of her face. She looked at the hand holding the yellow flower, following it up to see his cheeky and smug face. In a smooth motion, he slid the flower in her hair as an extra accessory.
"You know, I think I'll enjoy wearing you down," he said, before giving her his signature smile and walking away.
Fiyero Tigelaar made it his life mission to bother her at all times from that day onward â letting history repeat itself, as always.

glinda has a crush.

glinda upland x fem!reader
summary: glinda upland is smitten, and sheâs making sure the whole world (especially you) knows it, whether you catch on or not. warnings: fluff overload, afab reader, lesbian glinda, glinda being dramatic, harmless meddling, lots of pink, not proofread, nsfw at the very end, MDNI.
glinda is not subtle. when glinda has a crush, the whole of oz could probably figure it out before you do. sheâs extra giggly around you, tossing her hair and flashing her most radiant smile whenever youâre in sight.
she has been fighting people that call her "glinda" for her whole life. "it's gah-linda. with a gah". but you could call her belinda and she'd be like "okay, guess that's my name now hehe :D".
lots of "toss toss". when you're around, she performs this move even more flamboyantly, ensuring you notice her. she even practice it in front of a mirror to perfect it all in hopes of impressing you.
her love language is... extravagant. expect surprise deliveries of glittery pink bouquets, handwritten notes sealed with her signature wax stamp, new clothes, and occasionally, enchanted trinkets she insists you âsimply must have.â
âoh, wow, that outfit is so scandalocious! no one wears pink like you do!â glindaâs endless flattery toes the line between sweet and over-the-top.
despite her bubbly demeanor, glinda gets a little possessive... she might interrupt your conversations with others by swooping in, linking arms with you, and whisking you away under the guise of âurgent matters.â
elphaba is so done. she immediately catches on to glindaâs feelings and rolls her eyes at every lovestruck sigh or poorly veiled attempt to get your attention. âjust tell her already,â she mutters, but glinda insists sheâs being subtle.
not even fiyero can get away. he becomes glindaâs reluctant confidant. she quizzes him endlessly. âdo you think she noticed my new hairpin? was it obvious when i accidentally brushed her hand?â
glinda occasionally ropes her more impressionable classmates into âspontaneousâ group activities that just happen to involve you. picnic by the emerald city fountain? surprise study group? all glindaâs doing.
when you donât pick up on her hints, glinda cranks up the theatrics. she might âaccidentallyâ trip so you can catch her, dramatically swoon when you compliment her, or claim she needs your advice about âa dear friend whoâs in love with someone amazingâŚâ
subtlety? what subtlety? if all else fails, she starts making outrageous claims, like how the stars in the night sky donât shine as brightly as your eyes. by this point, even munchkins are side-eyeing her obviousness.
very possessive. very jealous. careful, she bites. if she sees you talking to someone she doesnât quite trust, glinda will immediately try to steal your attention. whether itâs showing up next to you with a loud âoh, darling, there you are!â or tugging you away by the waist with a soft, dramatic "i need you for just a second...", her jealousy is obvious, but she tries to play it off with a sweet, innocent demeanor. It's almost too cute to notice, but not quite.
when she finally confesses, you can expect a dramatic monologue.
glindaâs confession is a whirlwind of dramatic proclamations and heartfelt vulnerability. âdearest, i simply cannot go another day without telling you⌠you are the brightest star in my sky, the melody in my heart, and the only person who can make me feel like this!â
when you admit you feel the same, glindaâs jaw actually drops even if she had spent weeks trying to make you notice her. she recovers quickly, though, already planning millions of dates.
expect her to immediately start gushing to everyone whoâll listen. âattention, everyone! she said yes! isnât she just perfect?â meanwhile, youâre trying to hide your face from the attention.
in a relationship, when you catch her being a little too clingy or dramatic after seeing someone else talk to you, glinda will act innocent, flashing you her most dazzling smile while saying, "me? jealous? oh, princess, no. iâm simply making sure you know youâre mine.â sheâll lean in for a kiss as if nothing's wrong, but you can tell she's putting on an act.
if she feels like sheâs losing your attention for too long, she might retreat into a little meltdown, just to get you to reassure her. sheâll dramatically sigh and pout, plopping herself next to you on the couch or across the room. âugh, why do they even talk to you like that? youâre too good for them!â her jealousy is always a bit over the top, but the underlying sentiment is clear: she wants all your love, and she wants it now.
expect your individuality to be gone when you become her girlfriend. you could be in a party and someone offered you pizza and glinda would wrap her arm around your waist, pull you close and say "oh, we would love it, don't we, my dear?"
personal space? there's no such a thing when glinda is your girlfriend, please! physical touch is a must. kissing, hugging, biting your cheeks or ears affectionately (or more), holding hands anywhere and any time, rubbing your back or your knee when sitting next to each other, you name it.
NSFW (MDNI)!!!
a very soft top!!!
glinda throws herself into everything with gusto, and intimacy is no exception. she treats every moment as though itâs a grand performance, designed to leave you utterly breathless.
glinda loves to talk during intimate moments. sheâs shamelessly loud, peppering the air with compliments, exclamations of delight, and plenty of your name. itâs never quiet with her, not that youâd want it to be.
she talks you through it and she isn't shy about it. she likes giving orders and watching you fall apart when following religiously every word she says.
sheâll tease you mercilessly, grinning as she whispers things like, âoh, darling, youâll have to beg if you want more. i couldn't quite hear you.â
while glinda radiates self-assurance, thereâs also an adorable side of her that craves reassurance and exploration. âdo you like it when i do this?â sheâll ask, watching your every reaction like her life depends on it.
if you wear glasses, she would love to keep it during sex. "let's put that back in," she says, while gracefully on top of you.
during your first time, she'd be so gentle and attentive to how you'd react to every touch of hers. you feel like passing out when she runs her fingers through your soaked folds so patiently just to see your face contorting in pleasure.
"oh, there it is," she says softly, with that adorable smile feigning innocence, when you trembled at the pad of her thumb touching your clit.
sometimes, when you are in your shared dorm after class, tired and sitting on your bed, you decide to read a book. it takes glinda nothing more than 5 seconds to get bored and impatient and climb onto the bed, crawling to you to spread your legs open and sit in between them. you'd complain and say you were reading and she'd go like "of course. keep doing that, darling, i'm not stopping you," before having her face buried in your pretty pussy.
glinda loves trailing her lips along your neck, often leaving faint marks she calls âlittle declarations of my adoration.â the hollow of your collarbone is her second favorite spot, especially if youâre wearing something that exposes it. you can't blame her, she likes showing you off!
she finds kissing your thighs endlessly fascinating, claiming itâs the âperfect way to worship you.â expect slow, lingering kisses here, especially when sheâs feeling extra romantic (or very horny).
thereâs something incredibly intimate about the way she kisses your fingertips and palms, sometimes intertwining your fingers with hers as she gazes at you like youâre the only person in existence.
tell her how beautiful she is, how good sheâs making you feel, or how much you want her, and sheâll melt into a puddle of happiness. her confidence skyrockets when youâre vocal about your admiration.
glinda adores the little things. running her hands over every curve of your body, memorizing your favorite spots, and taking her time to make sure you feel completely adored.
post-intimacy, glinda becomes the clingiest cuddle bug ever. she insists on holding you close, peppering you with soft kisses, and telling you (loudly) just how much she adores you. if you let go of her to go get some water, she'll get very upset. do you even love her? do you hate her now? how dare you to abandon her for... 10 seconds?

I'm Not That Girl
Fiyero Tigelaar x shy!fem!reader
summary: you think Fiyero is only flirting you to be nice because you're not the kind of girl he usually goes for, but he's more than eager to set the record straight when confusion arises
This is based on a comment made on this post by @cultish-corner!
Nothing but anxiety courses through you the second you step foot on campus. You donât know anyone and are nothing but nervous to be in a new place with new people. Thatâs your worst nightmare, you think, as you walk throughout the campus to the suite you were assigned, you canât help but feel like everyone is staring at you, but absolutely no one is paying you any mind as you make your way down the hallway, repeatedly looking down at the sheet youâve received to make sure you have the right room.
This is the first time youâve ever been away from home for an extended period of time and you hate that you already miss it. But youâre excited for a new adventure. Even though youâre nervous, youâre still looking forward to what your time at Shiz will bring you. Youâre looking forward to a change.
Youâre so focused on looking at the sheet that youâre not even looking when you bump into something, or rather, someone. The collision causes your things to fall out of your hands and onto the floor, causing the stranger to drop to their knees, picking it all up rather quickly before holding your suitcase and papers out to you, a flirty smile on his pretty face that you only see out of the corner of your eyes because youâre afraid of making eye contact with him.
âHere,â he says, handing the paper to you, still holding onto your suitcase which confuses you.
âOh,â you reply. âThank you.â
Heâs easily the prettiest man youâve ever seen and you canât help but be distracted by his striking blue eyes that definitely have a very flirty glint in them. You immediately recognize him as the prince you had seen in the newspaper not too long ago, seeing that heâd transferred here. You know all about his reputation, but that doesnât stop you from wanting to speak to him. In fact, it makes you want to do it even more.
âItâs my pleasure. I am so sorry for my clumsiness,â he apologizes even though it was very obviously you who ran into him. âI guess I was just so distracted by your beauty.â You donât care if itâs a line, it works, causing your cheeks to heat as you tuck your chin to your chest, not wanting him to see you.
âMy apologies,â he sticks his hand out and takes free one, causing you to finally look up at him and youâre captivated by his pretty, blue eyes. âFiyero Tiglaar, Winkie Country,â he says as his lips press a soft kiss to the top of your hand.
âI-Iâm y/n,â you introduce yourself, your voice still too soft for your liking.
âY/n,â he repeats your name slowly, a flirty tone to it and you just know that he does this with everyone he comes across, but you hope, you pray that this is different. You want him to be flirting with you because he thinks youâre pretty, not because he can. âI think that might be my favorite name of all.â
âNow, shall we?â He asks, moving to stand beside you, offering you his arm and you loop your own arm through it before he reaches over and grabs hold of your luggage.
âWhere are we going?â You ask, your voice so low that Fiyero is almost unable to hear you.
âIâm going to walk you to your room,â he says with a bright smile, leading you down the hallway, everyone whoâs around whispering as the two of you walk together. Itâs no secret that heâs popular, how could he not be with his looks and charm? And seeing him with you, the shy, new girl will definitely stir up some rumors.
Your room is just down the hall and even though heâs only just met you, Fiyero doesnât want to leave you. He wants you to invite him inside where the two of you sit on your bed and get to know each other. He wants to know everything about you. He wants to know where you grew up, what your hobbies are, whatever you want to tell him because he likes the sound of your voice.
âWeâll, here we are,â he says, hesitantly removing his arms from yours as you step away before taking your suitcase back from him. âIt was a pleasure.â He bows then stands there, almost like heâs waiting for something.
âHere we are,â you repeat, wondering what it is that heâs wanting. He should at least be halfway down the hall by now.
âTomorrow, you should sit with me in the dining hall. Iâd really enjoy your company,â he smiles and you nod in response.
âIâd really like that,â you tell him, still nodding, feeling a warmth creep on your cheeks as you do so. You donât know why you take him so seriously. Guys like him donât ever give you so much as a second glance let alone a lunch invitation. By tomorrow, Fiyero will forget all about you.
The hallway is quiet and empty when you sneak out of your room. You canât sleep because of how nervous you are for your first day of classes. Especially since itâs a few months into the year and youâre the only new person. Everyone else has gotten the chance to know each other and youâre new.
Itâs taking everything in you not to pack up your stuff and leave so you donât have to face anyone tomorrow. You donât care if itâs dramatic or that youâre overreacting, itâs not like anyone will miss you anyway. You always seem to fade into the background no matter whatâs going on and thatâs the way you like it. You hate being the center of attention and know that it will distract you from your first day if everyone is staring at you.
You close the door gently and turn around slowly, letting out a yelp as you see Fiyero leaning against the wall across from you. Heâs in his pajamas so youâre led to believe that he canât sleep either. And he canât, but not for the same reason as you. Heâs just not tired and thatâs not uncommon for him. He often has trouble sleeping. But tonight, heâs hoping youâll keep him company so he doesnât have to go back to bed alone.
He pushes off of the wall and steps over to you, moving slowly because he can see that heâs startled you. You take a step forward and he canât help but stare at you, wondering what youâre also doing up so late.
âWhat are you doing up?â He asks, his eyebrows furrowing in both confusion and worry. He wants to reach for you, but he decides against it. If thereâs going to be any touching, he wants you to be the one to initiate it.
âCouldnât sleep,â you shake your head and he nods in understanding. His face softens and that infectious smile spreads across it. You canât help but mimic him and thatâs definitely something he could get used to seeing more often.
âMe neither,â he replies then offers his hand out to you. âWould you like to go somewhere with me?â Go somewhere with him? You look this way and that to make sure thereâs no one else he could possibly be talking to and he just laughs in response, a little too loudly for your liking.
You step closer and press the palm of your hand to his lips to muffle his laughs and you both widen your eyes at your boldness. His eyes soften before yours do, more laughs spilling from his mouth as he pulls your hand away, holding it in his.
âYouâre going to get us in trouble,â you whisper to him and his laughs slowly turn into chuckles as he gives your hand a squeeze.
âYou need to relax,â he shakes his head. âAnd besides, trouble is my middle name.â You roll your eyes at his words and Fiyero really likes being able to more of your personality. âSo,â he steps closer to you so that youâre toe to toe. âAre we going or what?â
Youâre not sure why, but youâve found yourself to be at ease with him. Heâs one of the only people who hasnât had any problem with how shy and soft-spoken you are. He even seems to like it, not minding in the slightest having to get closer to hear what you have to say. In fact, he seems to prefer it.
âYes,â you nod. âLetâs go.â
âSo youâre just going to blindly follow a man that you barely know to an unknown location where anything could happen to you?â He teases as he pulls you down the hallway and you never thought about it that way, and if it had been anyone else, maybe you would be worried, but not with Fiyero. âWell, y/n, I thought you knew better than that.â
âAnd the same goes to you, Tigelaar,â you retort. âI could just as easily be as dangerous.â
âSomehow, I just donât think thatâs true. Youâre far too sweet.â You hate that heâs right. It wouldnât even cross your mind to hurt someone unless they made the first move.
âYou donât even know me.â And he hates that he doesnât. He hopes that in the coming weeks that youâll be friends or maybe even more, but he knows the latter is probably just wishful thinking.
âAnd thatâs exactly why I invited you to join me tonight. I want to get to know you. Itâs also the reason why I invited you to eat with me in the dining hall.â Youâre confused now. You thought he was just trying to be nice. And now you feel terrible for even thinking that he wasnât being genuine.
âYou were serious about that?â Fiyero is quick to turn around to face you, hurt flashing across his face. And seeing the pain expression on yours is making him feel even worse. He thought that his intentions were pretty clear, but apparently he had been wrong.
âO-of course I was serious. Why would I joke about that?â Heâs leaning closer to you, taking your hands in his gently as he pulls you closer, wanting you to look him in the eyes when he speaks. âI invited you because I want to spend time with you, to get to know you. Donât let anyone ever tell you any different,â he says as he pushes some hair away from your face.
âI know it sounds silly since weâve only just met, but I havenât been able to stop thinking about you since this morning.â The look in his eye is nothing but genuine and now you feel silly for thinking that he was anything but.
âI thought it was just me,â you reply, your eyes lighting up.
âNo,â he shakes his head, leaning even closer to you as his hands move to rest in your hips, his eyes searching your face for any sign of discomfort or hesitance. âCan I try something?â He asks in a whisper, his eyes shifting your lips and you think you know what he wants to try.
âYes,â you reply as your eyes flutter shut, feeling his breath fanning your face as he leans down and presses his lips to yours in a gentle kiss. Your arms wrap around his neck as he pulls you closer to him, responding to his kiss as your lips slot between his, moving with them as best as you can.
Fiyero pulls away before youâre ready and pulls you a few feet before spinning you into him, pressing another kiss to your lips. He then takes you to the gardens where you spend the rest of the night, talking about everything and nothing between sweet kisses until the sun comes up. You think itâs needless to say that youâre really going to like it at Shiz.

was any of this real?
this will be a mini series!
ââ fiyero tigelaar x fem!witch!reader ( i donât get into powers too much but think of your powers somewhere between glinda and elphabaâs levels. not quite as powerful as elphaba but youâve been training for a year longer than glinda. also you room with the 2 of them, pretend the room is twice the size of the one in the film, just because asdf;alsdgkdf )
there was a reason that shiz students joked you were the peoples princess. everywhere you went, you always had a kind smile for anyone you walked past. you always had a minute to chat, for anyone that needed advice or just a chance to vent. despite that, you wouldnât classify yourself as outgoing.
you wore the same plain uniform as everyone else, didnât bother with makeup to class, and your wardrobe consisted of creams and neutrals. one day, much to her delight, you ask glinda to give you a makeover, deciding change could be good. of course the whole school takes notice, but none more so than the winky prince himself.
to him, you were a challenge. you were one of the only students who didnât fall for his charm. seeing you change your appearance makes him think you might change your mind about other things, or other people. not seeing the harm in a little wager, he places a bet. by the end of the school year, the 2 of you will be a couple. what could go wrong?
a trope as old as time, but i watched wicked again and felt inspired to write about our prince! if youâd like to be tagged when this is posted, let me know in the comments!

𫧠ALCHEMY đŤ§
Fiyero Tigelaar x f!reader; 18+ MDNI!

Synopsis: Fiyeroâs idea of helping you study for your upcoming exams is much more distracting than you thought âŚ
c.w.: smut! (vaginal fingering, fem receiving oral, hints at praise kink); established relationship; Fiyero being a flirty tease; gratuitous use of Darling & love; fluff & bantering; Fiyero setting unrealistic boyfriend standards
w.c. 3.8k oops?? || masterlist
AN: this is for everyone craving some very much needed Fiyero smut!! I also couldnât resist giving Fiyero reading glasses in this, if youâve seen the clip of Jonathan Bailey practicing the Dancing Through Life choreo with his glasses on, youâll know what Iâm talking about đ¤
Youâd been pouring over your textbooks for so long, your vision was starting to blur. Your concentration was starting to ebb away as well, seeing as youâd had to read through the paragraph concerning the use of moonflowers in several antidotes through four times, before youâd actually worked through the information conveyed in the paragraph.
Now, you sighed, reaching for your textbook and pen, because you needed to take more notes. Your hand was aching from how much youâd already written today. But it was no good, exams were starting next week and you really needed to ace your alchemy exam.
However, just as you were about to uncap your pen, a hand grasped yours, stopping you mid-motion.
âDarling, you should really take a break-â
Fiyero hadnât even finished his sentence, when you were already shaking your hand, interrupting him. âI canât!â Your voice quivered and seemed to border on the edge of hysterical, but you hardly noticed. âI canât Fiyero, exams start on Monday and I need to-â
âWhat you need to doâ, Fiyero said, stepping closer to you, until he was right behind your desk chair and able to rest his head in the crook of your neck, âis to take a break.â
You could feel his warm breath on your skin, could feel the bridge of his reading glasses dig into the soft skin of your neck and had to suppress a shiver.
Fiyero with his reading glasses was something else, truly. He was already extremely good-looking to begin with, but something about his reading glasses seemed to add to his natural good looks, almost like they were giving him an edge.
Or maybe youâd just been studying too much, causing your brain to turn to mush, you tried to reason with yourself.
Whatever it was - Fiyero had quickly found out the effect he had on you when he was wearing his reading glasses and was now using it shamelessly to his advantage. Not that he really needed that - his incredibly good looks and natural charms were enough to sweep you off your feet.
âIâm just worried about you, loveâ, Fiyero now said, drawing you out of your thoughts. His arms had snaked around your stomach and now you were trapped in his embrace, not that you really minded.
âYouâve been studying so much lately, I hardly ever get to see you.â
Though you couldnât see the look on his face, you were pretty sure that he was pouting. That thought caused you to smile softly and, laying aside your pen, you reached for Fiyeroâs hands, interlacing his fingers with yours.
âYou do see me all the time, thoughâ, you pointed out, squeezing his hands. âAt classes and during meal times, in the library or when weâre studying here-â
Fiyero groaned. âYes, but thatâs just not the same. I want to spend some time with my girlfriend, love. And not just sitting next to each other, studying quietly-â
âWell, studying quietly is the usual thing to doâ, you interrupted him.
He chuckled, his warm breath tickling your skin. You found yourself leaning back into him, enjoying his closeness. Now that you thought about it, he was right - though you saw each other all the time, you struggled to remember the last time youâd been together without the threat of upcoming exams looming over you.
âI know how important these exams are for you-â
âTheyâre important for you as wellâ, you pointed out, which Fiyero pointedly ignored, ploughing on.
âBut you need to take a break every now and then. Not just for indulging me, but for your own sake, darling. Elphie and Glinda are worried about you as well.â
You sighed, knowing that there was no point in arguing with him. Not just because Fiyero could be incredibly stubborn once heâd made up his mind about something, but also because, deep down, you knew that he was right. Lately, youâd been studying so much, it almost felt as if an ever-present headache, paired with blurry vision, and aching, cramping hands were your constant companions.
âYouâre right ⌠itâs just, these exams are so important, I canât - I canât fail them, you know?â
Fiyero sighed quietly, breaking the embrace, and stepping around your chair, kneeling down right in front of you and taking your hands in his. âI know, love. And though I know that you donât like hearing me say it, but Iâve absolutely no doubt that youâre going to ace your exams.â
You rolled your eyes, smiling. By now, you knew Fiyero well enough to know that he wasnât just humoring you with his words - he really did believe in you without a doubt.
However complicated Fiyeroâs own relationship with education was - though knowing him as you did, and knowing the unattainable expectations his parents had always set for him, you could completely comprehend his disdain -, he knew how important a good diploma was for you. Really, you couldnât have asked for a better, more understanding and supportive boyfriend, you thought, grinning down at him.
Fiyero caught your gaze, returning your smile, as he squeezed your hands. Though his smile was soft and loving, there was a hint of something else in his eyes, something darker, hungrier-
âHow about Iâll help you study, love? And then, later we can take a break âŚâ
âYou really donât have to-â
âIâll ask you questions that might come up in your alchemy exam, and for every right answer, youâll get a reward-â
âBut - how?â, you interrupted him, your mouth suddenly feeling quite dry. Something about the intensity in his gaze made your heart flutter, and something in his knowing, confident smirk told you that he knew exactly what he was doing to you when he was talking about rewards. âFiyero, how would you know the questions that might come up in my alchemy exam, youâre not even taking the class-â
âYour flashcards are really quite informative, you know?â, he said, smirk widening, when he saw your cheeks flushing.
âYou - you - my flashcards - you memorized them?â, you stuttered, breathless and at a complete loss for words.
Fiyero just nodded, looking quite pleased with himself. âDarling, I know how important these exams are for you.â
You shook your head, completely baffled. The fact that heâd actually taken the time to read through your alchemy flashcards, memorizing them, when he wasnât even taking the subject himself, just to help you study, left you feeling dizzy and overwhelmed.
Sweet Oz, he really was the best.
âFiyero, I - you-â
âIâm incredible, I know, thank you, darlingâ, he said, smirking. Not giving you the chance to tell him how much you loved him - or to say anything else, for the matter -, he squeezed your hands once more, before running his hands through his hair, leaning back.
âNow, Iâm sure youâll remember the mass of red clover you need to use in an antidote for poisons bending the free will-â
Heâd barely finished asking the question when you were already rattling off the answer, able to visualize the flashcard, covered in your neat, cramped handwriting, in your head.
Fiyero nodded, grinning. âQuite right, which means that the correct ratio for red clover and amaranth is?â
For a moment, you could only stare at him in surprise. Had he actually taken the time to memorize the entire content of your flashcards, including all the extra footnotes and notes in the margins, youâd scribbled in a particularly small, cramped font, when youâd been using the cards for revision a few days ago?
Fiyeroâs knowing, self-satisfied smirk answered your question, and you could only shake your head at him in awe.
âYouâre the bestâ, you said in a weak, awe-struck voice.
Fiyero just smirked. âI know, but that still doesnât answer my question, love.â
He leaned in closer towards you again, reaching for your hands, which were still resting on your thighs. This time, he didnât thread your fingers together, instead he started to gently rub your skin in soothing circles.
You let out a quiet, satisfied sigh - up until now youâd tried to ignore how stiff and aching your hands had been feeling lately, but Fiyero seemed to know exactly what he needed to do in order to gently soothe the pain in your stiff, aching joints.
âSo?â, Fiyero asked, his chocolate brown eyes meeting yours.
The intensity in his eyes caught you off guard - though, at first glance, his gaze seemed soft and full of concern for you, but there seemed to be something darker and hungrier beneath the concern - and that, paired with how incredibly good he looked with his reading glasses, caused your cheeks to flush.
âI - what?â, you asked him, having completely forgotten about alchemy and the proper ratio for red clover and amaranth in antidotes for the moment.
Fiyero chuckled. âAlready speechless âŚâ
You rolled your eyes at his comment, casting about for a snappy remark, but just then, Fiyero gently squeezed both your hands once more, before both his hands settled on the insides of your thighs, dangerously close to the hem of the skirt of your Shiz uniform.
âThe proper ratio for red clover and amaranth in antidotes for poisons that aim at bending the free will, Iâm sure you remember that, love?â
His tone was entirely light and innocent, but the dark, hungry gleam in his eyes and his satisfied smirk told you that he knew exactly what he was doing to you, when his hands started to slide higher, and higher, underneath your skirt, until you felt his fingertips brushing against the soft, sensitive skin of the inside of your thigh.
Your breath hitched, you couldnât help it.
Fiyero leaned even closer towards you then, his eyes finding yours again.
âThe proper ratio, darling?â, he asked you again, just when his fingertips started to explore the skin of your thighs with teasing, soft touches.
âI - Iâ, you stuttered, trying your hardest the recall the notes youâd taken concerning the particular question, but to no avail. Your mind was focused entirely on just one thing: Fiyero.
The way he was looking up at you, now not even trying to conceal the hunger in his eyes, was making you feel dizzy, and his fingertips, wandering ever higher, now dangerously close to the seam of your underwear, kept you on edge, and you felt your heart start to beat faster.
Fiyero chuckled, just as his fingertips brushed innocently over your clothed mound.
You squirmed, your breath hitching, and your hands gripped at the arms of your desk chair, your grip so tight that your knuckles whitened.
âIf you want, I could help you out, loveâ, he said, his dark eyes finding yours again. Normally, youâd have rolled your eyes at his blatant innuendo, but as it was, all you found yourself able to do was trying to lean into his touch, wanting - no, needing - to feel the delicious friction of his fingertips against your core again.
Fiyero held your gaze, all while his fingertips brushed over your clothed core again. You sighed, closing your eyes in relief, though the relief was only short-lived.
Heat was starting to build in your stomach, and again, you found yourself leaning into Fiyeroâs touch, your hands leaving the desk chair, and reaching for Fiyero, settling on his shoulders.
âThe proper ratio, loveâ, Fiyero said, his fingers now drawing teasing circles over the fabric of your underwear, âis very important to remember, because due to red cloverâs strong effect on the mind, it could quickly act as neutralizing, instead of amplifying when used in too high dosages.â
Your eyes widened. Now that Fiyero explained it, you were able to recall the information yourself, even able to conjure up the image of the flashcard containing that particular information in your mind. What really had you staring at your boyfriend in awestruck fascination though, was the fact that he was able to recall such information at all, given his current circumstances.
If the roles had been reversed, you wouldnât have been able to concentrate on anything but him, you thought, as your eyes found Fiyeroâs again.
He smirked at you, watching as your cheeks flushed, as he increased the pressure of his fingertips on your core.
âFiyeroâ, you said breathlessly, breath hitching when, suddenly, his hands settled on your waist with a strong grip, and he drew you in even closer towards him. When his grip on you relaxed, your legs fell open almost instinctually, effectively trapping Fiyero between your thighs.
He didnât seem to mind in the slightest however, the dark glint in his eyes intensifying.
âNot quite the answer I was looking forâ, he said, his tone casual, almost matter of-factly, which was in stark contrast to his knowing, satisfied smirk and his wandering fingertips, which brushed against your underwear again, until he finally, finally took mercy on you and slipped his fingers beneath the fabric.
âBut I suppose itâll do just as wellâ, he muttered, his eyes finding yours, as his fingers brushed over your core again, this time without the irksome barrier of your underwear in the way.
You whined, trying to lean into his touch, but Fiyero didnât increase the pressure of his touch, continuing to draw teasing circles over your core.
âFiyeroâ, you said, breath hitching, âplease, I - I ⌠I - just - please âŚâ
It was torture, what he was doing to you, you thought. Complete torture. Kneeling between your thighs, his hair tousled just the way you liked it, looking up at you with a dark, hungry expression in his eyes behind his glasses, and yet he still wouldnât touch you - not really, not in the way you really needed him to.
âPlease, just - just touch me, please, I-â, the rest of your words was lost to the breathless, loud whine you let out, when suddenly, without warning, the pressure of his touch on your core increased, and he started rubbing your sensitive bundle of nerves in earnest, while he used his other hand to impatiently tug your underwear down your legs.
âThe proper ratio is always double the amount of amaranth, due to red cloverâs strong effectivenessâ, Fiyero said, his own voice now sounding breathless. Having managed to successfully wrangle your underwear down your legs, his left hand settled on the inside of your thigh again.
Continuing to rub your bundle of nerves with his right hand, his left hand moved up your thigh, his fingertips edging ever closer towards your core, until he stopped his movements just when his fingertips had grazed against your core.
âThough I suppose youâve answered the first part of my question, which means that youâre due a reward.â
When he finally pushed two fingers into you, you could have cried out in relief. Your grip on his shoulder blades tightened, but Fiyero didnât seem to mind in the slightest.
The thought that you should probably feel embarrassed by how youâd already turned to putty in his hands, how wet you already were, briefly crossed your mind, but then Fiyero started to pump his fingers in and out of you in a torturously slow rhythm, and every other thought but how incredibly good he made you feel, seemed to fade from your mind.
âBut maybe you do remember what the best time for picking red clover is? It was in another footnote on the flashcard, loveâ, Fiyero said, his own voice sounding increasingly breathless and strained as his eyes found yours again.
How he could recall any of the contents of your flashcards at all when he currently had two fingers buried deep inside of you, curling them just the way he knew drove you wild, repeatedly hitting your sweet spot, was entirely beyond you.
As it was, you barely managed to wheeze out âMid-Midnightâ, before moaning embarrassingly loud, when Fiyero added a third finger, stretching you open even wider.
âGood girlâ, Fiyero groaned, his hand leaving your clit for a moment as he hitched your right leg up over his shoulder. The fingers of his other hand were still buried deep inside you and you felt yourself squeezing around him, your breath hitching, the new angle almost making you see stars in front of your eyes.
The aching heat in your belly was building and building with every stroke of Fiyeroâs fingers and soon you found yourself moving your hips in time with his hands, meeting his thrusts and seeking out more and more and more of the delicious friction.
But then, just when you were chasing after your peak, feeling the aching, delicious heat in you building and building, Fiyero abruptly stopped his movements.
At this, you actually did let out a cry of frustration, not caring about anything but your denied peak and the fact that Fiyeroâs fingers were still buried deep inside of you, yet he was refusing to move them, denying you what you so desperately wanted - no, needed.
âFiyero, please-â
âOne last question, darlingâ, he said, his voice sounding rough and strained, and his hand left your clit again and you watched him with wide eyes and flushed cheeks as he carelessly took of his glasses, tossing them to the side.
âFrom here on out, will you listen to me, Elphie and Glinda when weâre concerned about you?â
The question caught you off guard, and you found yourself leaning forwards, wanting to be closer to Fiyero, but the sudden movement only caused his fingers to slide deeper into you.
âI - what?â, you moaned, biting down hard on your lip.
Fiyeroâs dark eyes found yours again, his gaze serious. âYouâll listen to me when Iâll tell you to take a break? Exams are important, but so is your health, darling.â
As if to punctuate his point, he curled his fingers again, hitting your sweet spot perfectly.
âYes, Sweet Oz, yesâ, you whined desperately, your hips rocking forward again, âyes, I - anything you want, Fiyero, just please-â
âGood girl.â
And without further warning, Fiyero lowered his head between your thighs, and you felt his lips right were you so desperately needed them. And instead of continuing to tease you and work you into a desperate, frenzy mess like he usually would with featherlight kisses against your core, he immediately licked a flat stripe over your slit with his tongue.
âFiyero!â
You nearly came undone right then and there. His tongue immediately delved into your folds, replacing his fingers, giving you exactly what you needed.
Your fingers found their way into Fiyeroâs hair, tugging at his strands maybe a little too harshly, but if the low, satisfied groan that escaped him was any indication, he seemed to enjoy it, like he usually did.
Fiyero pressed his thumb to your clit again, applying just the right amount of pressure, as his tongue continued to slide in and out of you, perfectly hitting your sweet spot repeatedly.
Soon, you were a quivering, panting mess, desperately arching your back and bucking your hips up to meet the sure, confident strokes of Fiyeroâs tongue. You found yourself clenching around him again, as the pleasurable heat in your core kept building, nearly at its breaking point.
A whiny, desperate moan escaped you, and you found your grip on Fiyeroâs hair tightening even more.
âFiyero, I - I - fuck!â, you panted, unable to string together a coherent sentence anymore.
Fiyero seemed to understand what you were trying to tell him, though, for he replaced his tongue with his fingers again, setting a brutal, unforgiving pace, as he swirled his tongue over your now swollen, incredibly sensitive bundle of nerves.
âI - Fiyeroâ, you panted.
You were so close, so incredibly close-
âDonât hold backâ, Fiyero now groaned, the hand that had been previously settled on your hip reaching up, and you immediately reached for it, âcome for me, good girl.â
That did the trick.
The coil in your belly snapped, and overwhelming waves of pleasure crested over you.
You came, with a loud cry of Fiyeroâs name on your lips, and squeezing his hand so tightly, your fingernails digging into his skin that you were sure they were going to leave crescent shaped marks on his skin.
Fiyero took everything you gave him, guiding you through your high, as he squeezed your hand back, his thumb rubbing gentle circles over your skin, greedily lapping up all your juices.
For a few, incredible moments there was nothing but Fiyero and the waves of pleasure claiming you.
Then, slowly, you started coming back down from your high. Fiyero was still kneeling between your legs, his tongue greedily lapping up the last of your juices and you squirmed from the overstimulation. Fiyero didnât let you pull away from him, though.
Only after lapping up the last drop, and, looking at you with a knowing, challenging expression in his eyes as he pressed his lips right against your swollen, sensitive nub - which had you squirming, moaning unintelligible nothings, your grip on his hair tightening once more - did he pull away, gently sliding your leg back down from his shoulder, before gently scooping you up in his arms.
You felt like putty in his hands, nothing more than a tangle of limbs.
You were still breathing heavily as he sat down in your desk chair, gently positioning you in his lap. Fiyero tucked your head against his chest, softly stroking your hair as he whispered sweet nothings into your ear, while you continued to come back down from your high.
After a few moments, you found the strength to reach for Fiyeroâs hand, threading your fingers together.
His eyes found yours again, and the love for you you saw in them, nearly took your breath away again.
âSweet Oz, that was incredible, youâre - fuck, I love you so much, Fiyeroâ, you said, reaching up and pressing your lips to his.
Fiyero let out a soft noise at your words, kissing you back softly. The kiss was slow and sweet, and though you could feel how aroused he still was, you wanted to bask in this slower moment with him for a bit longer.
When Fiyero broke the kiss, he leaned his forehead against yours, cupping your cheek with his free hand. âBy Oz, youâre incredible, darling. I love you so much.â
You smiled, pressing another soft kiss against his lips.
When Fiyero pulled back again, his eyes were still soft and full of love, but his lips slowly formed into a smirk. âThough, what was that bit about studying quietly being the usual thing to do?â
You rolled your eyes. âYouâre unbelievable, you know that?â
He just smirked. âMaybe so, but you love it.â
Seeing as there was no point in his arguing this particular sentiment, you just pressed your lips to his again, though this time not nearly as softly and sweetly as before. Fiyero groaned, deepening the kiss.
You reached up, winding your arms around his neck.
You had a feeling that you were not going to leave your room for quite some time. Not that you minded, not even in the slightest.
Studying could wait a bit longer.

If the world was ending, I'd wanna be next to you
Elphaba Thropp x fem!reader x Glinda Upland
Summary: Your heart breaks when you hear the news about Elphaba. It breaks even more when Glinda returns without her to see you.
Word Count: 1,3K
Warning: ANGST, mentions of spells (don't tell me), prejudice.
note: reader is a witch too.
ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE.
"I insist that you should come with me." Elphaba's deep, calm voice sounded from beside you, making you turn your head towards her.
You snorted lightly. She had been insisting on this ever since the Wizard's invitation arrived. And you kept refusing, this was her moment. Elphaba deserved this. She deserved the whole world.
"No, Elphaba." you turned on the grass, your body facing hers. "Seriously, it's going to be great. You're going to do amazingly well, as always. And he's going to love you, everyone loves you."
You had dragged Elphaba out to the field after Shiz after school ended, wanting to have a moment alone with her before she left the next day. You would have called Galinda, but she seemed too busy with Fiyero, so you just shrugged.
Your friendship with Elphaba seemed like something that was destined not to happen, since you weren't exactly outgoing and she was very closed off, always on the defensive. You didn't blame her, it was all the prejudice she had suffered throughout her life that was to blame.
"I wish someone important was with me at this... such an important moment." she smiled slightly. "Are you really sure?"
Before answering, you looked at the field around you and bent down to pluck a delicate white flower that was lying near your feet. Holding it, you turned to Elphaba and stared at her for a moment, feeling your heart swell. With a delicate movement, you took her hand and turned it over, placing the flower in her green palm.
Holding her hand gently in yours, you closed your eyes for a moment and then released her.
"Did you make a wish on the flower?" she asked, lifting one corner of her lips, her gaze falling to the small flower in her hand.
"I put my best thoughts and wishes into it." you replied, bringing your hand to her chin to tap it with your index finger. "The flower knows I wish you the best, take it with you and return it to me when you return to Shiz."
Elphaba smiled the big smile that warmed your heart and leaned in, wrapping her arms around you.
At dusk you saw Galinda's small figure open her arms towards you in the middle of Shiz's courtyard and automatically opened yours before running towards her, feeling her lift you off the ground lightly.
"Galinda! I told you not to do that, you'll end up hurting yourself." you scolded as she lowered you again.
"It never gets old for me," she hummed. "I haven't seen you since the classes ended, where was my dearest friend?"
"Your dearest friend?" you giggled and she started walking, pulling your hand.
"Don't let anyone hear." she spoke almost singing again. "I was with Fiyero, and you? Where? And with whom."
She turned to you with big, expectant eyes, squeezing your hands tightly.
"With Elphaba, I wish I had more time to say goodbye." you said simply, shrugging.
"Oh! Elphie. I wish the same, having more time to say goodbye." she said and clung to you dramatically, hiding her face in your shoulder. "My roommate is leaving."
Galinda's dramatic and over-the-top ways had previously driven you away from her, but she ended up becoming your friend when she saw you talking to Elphaba. The arrangement worked out, somehow.
"I just had a magnificent idea!" she suddenly shouted, releasing you.
"What?"
"You can live with me while Elphie is away!" she put both hands on your shoulders. "It'll be perfect! That way we won't suffer so much when she's gone."
"She's not going to die, Galinda." you laughed. "But if it makes you happy, fine, I'll live with you."
You knew it wasn't going to happen. Just like you knew Galinda would get on the train with Elphaba. Your vision was clear this time.
You saw them both walking hand in hand down the emerald green corridor, heard the wizard's voice and then your vision ended. You couldn't interfere, even though you had seen very little.
Hence the flower. A protection spell might not be enough, but it was the most you could do without interfering with future events.
Galinda let out an excited squeal that snapped you out of your thoughts and her heels began to click on the floor as she pulled you up and started running towards your dorm.
The day in Shiz was overcast after the green train had left to Emerald City. You were writing one of your sorcery lessons when your head buzzed, forcing you to groan and squint. The vision was blurry at first, and the voices were muffled, but slowly it began to make sense.
Elphaba's irritated voice rang out, followed shortly by Galinda's calm request for something from her. Her vision blurred for a moment before focusing again, this time clearer. The outlines of Elphaba and Galinda stood in front of a large glass window.
When your head buzzed again, the image that appeared was that of your friend flying in front of a group of people, who were pointing guns at her. Galinda had her back to it, hugging Madame Morrible tightly.
With a groan of pain, you opened your eyes, looking around your dorm desperately, not really looking for anything. It wasn't supposed to be this way, why were they threatening Elphaba with weapons? Why wasn't Galinda helping her? Letting those people point their guns at her?
She managed to cast a spell to fly. In the midst of the whirlwind of negative thoughts, this one at least left a hint of pride in you.
Your despair did not pass with the hours of the day and to make matters worse, Madame Morrible's announcement of Elphaba's capture only made everything worse. Your stomach ached with worry, your head throbbed with agony.
None of it was true. Elphaba was not an enemy, she was not. And there was no evil in her either. You shivered when Madame Morrible's sophisticated voice called your best friend the Wicked Witch.
Some students who were unable to contact their families remained in Shiz until the next day, and you were among them, your eyes heavy with sadness, your chest heavy with a pain you could not explain.
Sitting on one of the fancy benches in the courtyard, you didnât bother to look up when you heard the familiar click of Galindaâs heels approaching.
"You-you couldn't go home?" her soft voice rang out in the heavy silence present. "You can go to my-"
"Get out of here, Galinda." your voice sounded hoarse, perhaps from the hours you spent crying without knowing what to do.
"Did you know that you're the only one who calls me that now? It's just that I changed my name, now it's Glinda." she tried to sound optimistic, approaching with hesitant steps. "But you can keep calling me Galinda, I don't mind."
At another time, you would have laughed and thought she was silly and funny. But not now, not after what she did.
Encouraged by your silence, she spoke again, now almost standing in front of you.
"I couldn't do anything. I didn't want to anger her. And also Madame Morrible-"
"You already have everything, Galinda!" you snapped, standing up. "You have money, you have beauty, and everyone loves you. What do you lack?! Elphaba means so little that at the first opportunity to have the attention of someone who doesn't care about you, you trade her?"
"Don't yell..." she tried to take your hand, but you pulled it away abruptly. "I don't like seeing you sad."
"How do you want me to feel? What do you think Elphie is feeling right now?" your voice broke as tears began to threaten to spill over. "You're a terrible friend."
This seemed to shock Galinda and she staggered back a few steps, her large eyes widening even further.
"You didn't really mean it." she spoke even more softly.
"I meant." you ran your hands over your face and looked at her. "I don't want you to come near me anymore. Or even speak to me."
"No..." Galinda's broken voice made you sadder, but you started walking quickly away from her anyway.

Forever and Always
Fiyero x Fem!Reader
[Summary: You wanted to go with him to save your friend, but he was insistent on making you stay behind. ]
[a/n: okay so this is based of act ii of the play when fiyero goes to save elphaba]
Fiyero placed a finger underneath your chin, tilting it upward causing you to look up at him. "J-Just be careful please." You said looking up at him worriedly, he was about to do something dangerously stupid.
But you knew his heart was in the right place, the two of you cared for Elphaba she was like a sister to you, and a friend to Fiyero.
You looked at him gripping his hand gently, "Just let me come with you." You asked. But you already knew the answer before it even said it. "No." He said, pressing a kiss on your forehead. He smiled softly as he pulled back seeing the sadness in your eyes.
He takes your hands into his rubbing them gently, then reaching up to touch your left cheek. "I could never forgive myself if you got hurt or worse." He said, and you looked away sadly as tears threatened to roll down your cheeks.
"But she's our friend I-I should be there to help." You pleaded. Hoping to convince him to let you go with him. To save Elphaba. But he was insistent on not letting you go.
"I-I'm just scared that I'm going to lose you." You said, as tears rolled down your cheeks. He pulled you closer wrapping his arms around you, "I promise you, that no matter what I'll always be here." He said, pulling back, wiping away the tears with his thumb.
"Forever and Always." He said looking down at you, and you sighed closing your eyes, smiling softly. "Forever and Always." You repeated, leaning up to kiss him on the lips.
He looked you in the eyes and noticed a piece of straw in your hair, he placed his hand on your cheek. "I love you." He whispered his lips brushing against yours, causing you to smile leaning your forehead against his. "I love you too Feo." You said as you intertwined your fingers with his.
You watched with a heavy heart as he left you in the little house, you called home for the past few months of living together as husband and wife. You didn't want to acknowledge it but something deep down was telling you, that this would be the last time you'd ever see each other like this.
Once he returns you and him were leaving OZ for good.
[a/n: did I do good? for my first fiyero fic?]

A Faint Memory
Wicked: Elphaba Thropp x fem!reader x Fiyero Tigelaar
Rating: Mature (Minors DNI)
WC: 1.8k
Prompt: âWhat doesn't kill you makes you stronger, but something will eventuallyâ ~ Momento Mori by Will Wood for @sweetspicybingo (Lyrical Bingo Collection)
Warnings: SPOILERS IF YOUâRE NOT FAMILIAR WITH HOW THE MUSICAL ENDS, polyamory, throuples, one sex scene, angst, blending of musical and book lore
Summary: You, Fiyero, and Elphaba are inseparable, even in âdeathâ

âDonât sacrifice your lives for me. Iâm not worth it!â Elphaba screamed.
âYouâre wrong about that. Youâre absolutely worth it,â Fiyero grinned, turning on the boyish charm that made Elphabaâs emerald lips twitch into a small smile.
âIâd much rather be on your side than continue to feed into the lies,â you said, reaching for her hand as Fiyero reached for the other. You had been wary of the Prince the moment he entered Shiz and questioned his allegiance when he became Commander of the Guards and engaged to Glinda, but he had since proven his worth.
âIâm not worth it,â she whispered, gripping onto you and Fiyero, overwhelmed by the power she possessed.
Fiyero gathered her against his chest while you curled against her back, keeping her cocooned safely in between.
âOne day, youâll see your worth,â you whispered into her ear as one of Fiyeroâs hands rested against your bicep.
âYouâve got us seeing through different eyes, Elphie,â Fiyero smiled, gazing at you from over her shoulder.
âWeâve fallen under your spell and wouldnât want it any other way.â
From then on, the three of you were inseparable.
You leaned against the tree trunk, resting your cheek against the scratchy bark as you watched Fiyero and Elphaba converse. Her hand tenderly cupped his face, pushing a dark lock of hair out of his eyes. It warmed your heart, making it thud in your chest as you took in the sight of them. You would die for either of them.
âWhat are you doing over there? Come and join us,â Fiyero called out when he spotted you.
Elphaba turned, offering you a sweet smile and pulling you to sit between the two of them. You had never imagined yourself in a trio, but now you couldnât imagine your life any other way. Shiz had brought the three of you close together, and now you were on the run. The Wizard had painted Elphaba, the villain, and Glinda had been drawn into his grasp by Morribleâs promises of grandeur and sorcery skills. It caused Fiyero to break off their engagement and join you and Elphaba on the lam.
âThe stars are beautiful tonight,â you whispered, dropping your head onto Fiyeroâs shoulder. Elphaba stretched out, resting her head in your lap as you toyed with her hair.
âThis might be our last night together. We should make the most of it,â Fiyero smirked, slipping a finger under your chin before kissing you. You melted against his warm lips, which tasted of caramel.
âDonât be selfish,â Elphaba teased, taking hold of your face and guiding you towards her. Her mouth tasted like spun sugar, yet a spice lingered against your tongue.
âWe should make the most of it,â you purred, drawing them closer.
Clothing was shed as the three lay bare beneath the moonlight, shaded by the spiraling trees. Fiyeroâs mouth was hot against your shoulder as you held Elphabaâs back against your chest, rolling her breasts between your hands. Magic was thick in the air, the leaves and grass rustling as you all pulled closer together, losing track of where one ended and the other began. Elphabaâs fingers stretched you wide before Fiyeroâs cock filled you. Elphabaâs arousal dripped into your mouth as she sat astride your face as Fiyero lay between your splayed thighs.
Your fingers traced over the blue diamonds inked on Fiyeroâs chest, marveling at their design as you unwound from the high.
âPrince Fiyero and my witchy Fabala,â you giggled. Elphabaâs arms snaked around your waist as she shook with laughter, her delight bleeding into yours.
Fiyero rolled his eyes but merely smiled, allowing you and Elphie to enjoy the little inside joke before the three of you fell asleep under the forest canopy.
~~
Eleka nahmen nahmen ah tum ah tum eleka nahmen
Elphabaâs chanting echoed through the castle walls as she tried to make sense of this spell.
âI donât know what Iâm doing. I donât know what Iâm saying. I think Iâm killing him,â Elphaba sobbed, tears streaming down her green cheeks as she tripped over the words of the spell.
You drew her tear-stained face into your hands. âI will go to the poppy fields and see for myself. He may very well be alive.â
âIf he is, do not return. Go and be safe. I have too much blood on my hands already,â she sobbed.
âDillamond and Nessa were not your fault! Please donât blame yourself for them,â you begged, drawing her heaving form closer to you.
âI ruin everything I touch,â she whispered, her tears soaking your skin.
âHeâs alive. I just know it,â you murmured hopefully. âThe three of us will be reunited. Just wait and see.â
You kissed her damp lips before bidding her farewell and mounting Feldspar. Air burned your lungs as you gripped the reigns, Feldspar galloping toward the poppy fields. Fiyeroâs head was slumped, still secured to the post the Guards had tied him to. You felt your heart breaking.
âPlease donât be dead, please donât be dead,â you whispered.
Once you dismounted, you approached his limp form with trepidation. A murder of crows circled overhead but left his body unbothered. You covered your mouth as you took in his changed appearance, realizing Elphabaâs spell hadnât gone quite right but had kept him alive.
âFiyero,â you whispered, stroking his cheek, which no longer possessed the healthy glow of human flesh but resembled a weather-beaten, faded burlap sack. When he opened his eyes, they were still a dazzling blue, sending a warmth fluttering through your chest.
âYouâre here,â he whispered.
âCome now, letâs get you down from there,â you said softly, untying him and balancing his gaunt body against you. Sparse locks of dark hair clung to his smooth head.
âFeldspar,â Fiyero grinned, his lips cracked like straw when he saw his horse.
âIt is good to see you, old friend,â Feldspar whinnied, bowing his head.
âHe can still talk?â Fiyero asked in surprise.
âHe can. Weâve kept him free from the Wizardâs clutches,â you smiled, guiding him to balance against a Quoxwood tree. His clothing was torn and tattered, and you murmured a spell to repair a few of the larger rips.
âAnd Fae? How is our Fabala?â he questioned softly, using the terms of endearment he had bestowed upon her.
âFrustrated, she cast a spell to protect you but believed it killed you in the process,â you explained, drawing his hand into yours. His fingers were longer and spindly and felt rough like bark beneath your touch.
He hung his head. âI fear Iâm not much to look at anymore.â
âHush now,â you tutted, stepping closer to cup his face and pressing your lips to his.
âDo you think sheâll be happy to see me?â he croaked.
âYes, but she doesnât want us to return to her. I might have a plan. However, Iâll need your help if youâre willing.â
âAnything to help my ladies,â he smiled, his thin lips stretching, oddly endearing him further to you.
You beckoned a slick black crow, delighted to discover the animal still possessed the power of speech, and whispered a message in his ear before sending him Elphabaâs way. You slipped a gold coin between his beak in gratitude for his service. Hope surged in your chest as the corvid soared through the trees. You helped Fiyero onto Feldspar as the three of you found cover in the forest as you awaited Elphabaâs reply. The two of you warmed by the fire as you tied a few broken sticks together, reciting a spell to turn into a hat for Fiyero to cover his head. Now, both your loves possessed a unique hat.
Two days later, the crow returned, repeating Elphabaâs response.
âItâs now or never. We need to find that Dorothy,â you told Fiyero.
You could see the hesitation in his eyes, the blue glow slowly dulling and becoming eclipsed in a darker hue. You gently gripped his hand, careful of how fragile he was now, and stroked your thumb over a long, spindled finger.
âSheâs agreed. She knows we arenât betraying her. We are setting a trap. Then we can all run away together, and we will be just a distant memory in Oz,â you reminded him, and he nodded.
It made you sick to hear the Ozians calling for Elphabaâs head and how twisted they made her appear. An acrid taste swirled in your mouth, but you steadied on, ensuring Fiyero slipped into the company of the young Kansas girl and planted the rumor that water would ensure the death of the Wicked Witch of the West. When the time came, Fiyero escaped during the ruckus, and the two of you lay in wait while Dorothy tossed the bucket of water onto Elphaba. You had to admit that Elphaba put on a good show, yelling and screeching,
âI'm melting, melting. Ohhhhh, what a world, what a world. Destroy my beautiful wickedness!â
Smoke hissed around her as she made it appear as if she were indeed melting into a puddle, using her cloak to conceal her body slipping beneath a trapped door. She left her hat behind; thus, the Wicked Witch of the West was dead. Good had triumphed over evil. As the celebration ran through the Emerald City, you and Fiyero went to collect Elphaba. Tears of joy streamed down her face as she wrapped her arms around Fiyeroâs neck.
âOh, am I hurting you?â she sniffled.
âNot a bit,â he smiled, wrapping his thin arms around her and pulling her close.
The declarations rang high through the air.
The Witch of the West is dead
The wickedest witch there ever was
The enemy of all of us here in Oz is dead
âI canât believe either of you can stand to look at me,â Fiyero admitted as the three of you prepared to leave Oz for good.
âFor goodness sake, I think Iâve proven that appearances donât bother me because I see the person for what they are inside,â you stated, stamping your foot for good measure.
âSheâs right about that, and Iâm not one to judge either,â Elphaba smiled. She turned to face you, reaching for your hand, and you noticed the look in her jade eyes.
âShe canât know, Fabala. Glinda has to believe you and Fiyero are dead,â you whispered, squeezing her hand.
âWe will all find our way together in the West, far, far away from here,â Fiyero said.
âWe can never return,â Elphaba whispered.
âIt doesnât matter to me, so long as I have both of you,â you smiled.
âI suppose that is all we need,â Elphaba agreed, taking the time to kiss you and Fiyero deeply.
âAway we go, my loves,â Fiyero smiled.
And so you went: off to a new land, a new adventure, and leaving the past behind. Faux deaths offered a chance for rebirth, a new start, and perhaps a more understanding land where none of you would be judged or despisedâa magical resurgence.

⢠letâs face it, you and cooper koch share many things in common that solidify your friendship.
⢠but the one thing that binds you together the most is your shared love of broadway musicals.
⢠you both done musical theater and show choir in high school and college. thatâs where some of your greatest memories lie.
⢠sometimes you got leads, other times, supporting and ensemble roles.
⢠you and cooper are the typical music theater nerds.
⢠youâve got playbills, soundtracks, and various merchandise from your favorite musicals.
⢠you both would randomly burst into a show-tune when the opportunity serves.
⢠of course you both know quotes, lines, and choreography.
⢠one year for halloween, you went as danny and sandy from grease.
⢠wicked is one of your favorites! you both have seen it live on broadway in 2022.
⢠you had to see this specific tour because you wanted to see brittney johnson, the first black glinda, in action!
⢠you and cooper enjoyed yourselves! if you could see it for the first time again, you would.
⢠you even cried tears of joy because as a black woman who loves musical theater, it was so refreshing to see someone who looks like you starring in roles that werenât stemmed from a stereotype.
⢠you firmly believed that when it comes to most roles, the casting should be determined by talent instead of looks.
⢠âaw, n/n!â cooper would endearingly say, bringing you in for a hug because he knew how important this was to you and he was going to support you every step of the way.
⢠fast forward to when you hear that wicked would be getting a film adaptation starring ariana and cynthia.
⢠you saw cynthiaâs work in the color purple, so you knew she would absolutely smash it as elphaba vocally, theatrically, and aesthetically.
⢠you and cooper were counting down the days until the premiere.
⢠heâd wear pink, youâd wear green.
⢠when it was a week before the premiere, you both got your nails done to celebrate.
⢠you got a green full set while cooper got a regular manicure with clear pink polish and tiny green hearts.
⢠at the l.a. premiere, you were both so excited to be there on the red carpet in your coordinated outfits and accessories.
⢠your faces practically hurt from smiling out of excitement for so long.
⢠no matter if you were taking photos or doing interviews, you were both so hyped for it!
⢠the highlight of your evening was getting a photo with cynthia and ariana.
⢠girl, you and cooper were going to treasure that night forever.
⢠the move itself: a masterpiece.
⢠you knew when released to the general public, it would blow the box office out of the water.
⢠you and cooper had to contain yourselves from singing along.
⢠the visuals, the soundtrack, the dialogue, and the subtle reference to the manin story of the wizard of oz was immaculate.
⢠CYNTHIA AND ARIANA RESPECTIVELY DID THE DAMN THING!
⢠johnathan bailey as fiyero looked so damn sexy. he had you and cooper swooning during his scenes.
⢠michelle yeoh served cunt as madame morrible.
⢠the whole film gave you and cooper chills.
⢠youâd never be the same.
⢠after the premiere and after party, you and cooper were tired, but at the same time, still on a high from it all.
⢠âokay, but can we talk about how adorable gelphie is? you canât tell me that theyâre not in love.â you say sitting on the couch after grabbing you and cooper some drinks.
⢠âitâs so obvious! like, they need to elope and let me have fiyero.â cooper replied, you agree with his statement by raising your glass and clinking it with his, âthat part!â
⢠you didnât forget about one more character.
⢠âokay, coop, hear me outâthe wizard could get it lowkey.â you confess and giggle at how well jeff goldblum had aged like fine wine.
⢠âgirlâhold onâŚâ cooper took a pause and a swig of his drink before nodding in agreement, ânow that iâm thinking about it, i hear you loud and clear.â
⢠you stayed up and did karaoke of âpopularâ with cooper as glinda of course.
⢠heâs such a diva.
⢠whether you consider yourself a singer or not, youâre not afraid to hit that âdefying gravityâ riff.
⢠at the end of the day, you wouldnât trade this whole experience for anything as you were dancing through life as just two friends.
⢠two good friends.
⢠two best friends.
