Arlix is broken up... there is no good in the world anymore

I know it’s tough, nonnie, but if they’re meant to be together, they’ll find their way back to each other. As much as I sympathize, I can’t deny I’m excited to see what a newly single Arthur and Felix will do.

FELIX JUMPMAN

Being a very animated sort of guy, Felix is incredibly connected to his emotions and will openly emote every feeling and notion he goes through. But, as of recent events that happened when he was pushed through the portal, Felix witnessed many things that broke his heart. Death and tragedy, his lover married to another. Felix learnt to not always so openly express every thought that went through his mind. Even though he doesn’t remember these things happening, the development has stuck. But despite this, he still will emote and have animated expressions to easily read what he is feeling at any given time. Thank goodness, this development has not hindered his ability to easily sob at the movie Notting Hill.

Whilst Felix is ecstatic and relieved that his hammer has finally come back into his possession, he feels extra protective of it now. It’s incredibly likely that he wouldn’t bring it up to others when they have their problems anymore, if only because of the amount of experiences in the past that lead to disaster because of the broken tool. If anything, Felix may try to use it at home, only on inanimate objects in a contained area. To see if, perhaps, he may still be able to control it.

Despite his now clear experience of being tricked, and understanding that not everyone will treat him with kindness, Felix’s quick-to-trust ways still leave him incredibly naive. He still finds himself  ‘acting now’ and then dealing with the 'malfunction’ later. He may just take another second to think about it. However, have no doubt, he would still follow a sign that said “Free candy this way!” Only now would he stop to think “Could it be licorice? …Aw boo, no one is that evil,” before merrily following along after it.

Love comes in many forms, and I am certainly not closing myself off to it. I am quite fond of Wendy, although our relationship is purely platonic, and I have no wish to change that. I also very much value my friendships with Felix and Chel. Such things are the basis for love, whether romantic or otherwise, and I think I could love all of them quite easily. Honestly though, I cannot imagine loving someone else the way that I love Maia, at least at the present moment. It would be far easier for me if I could.

There was an unfamiliar feeling of fear pulsing through his core, the inevitability of death quite certain at that precise moment. The obscure oversized bugs a mere stretch away, but the stubbornness in not wanting to leave Ralph behind put him in a dilemma.  The happy colourful game Sugar rush once was now drained of it’s colours, and filled with that of broken chaos. Things were not looking good for any of them. 

“Fix-it, we need to go, now.” Leather gloves wrapped around his tiny hand and started to tug him back, through to the station and back home. The place was looking pretty done for, so he understood Calhoun’s actions, but he was not giving up yet. He was never giving up. But, before he even had a chance to express said determination, Calhoun hit an invisible barrier, blocking them from safety. There was no way of getting out -they were trapped

Just then, something else started  happening. Pixel by pixel, the world was melting away. From the sky, to the mountain, to the floor below their feet, everything was crumbling. 

The whole world glitched momentarily, and Felix released the woman’s hand. Or less, released her hand and more within a moment, she was gone. Disappeared in quickest moment, the blonde sergeant just vanished. He tried calling for her, tried searching, but soon he was running out of platform to stand on, most of it crumbling away. 

And then he fell. 

Fell down into an abyss of numbers and coding and pixels, his body phasing in and out of two different realities. He just kept on falling, no way of knowing when he was going to land. 

Falling.... Falling... Falling...

After falling for too long, he landed. 

He slowly opened his eyes to a room of pristine white and of completely different texture to that which he was familiar to. His surroundings looked far too... Real. His gaze wandered around the room, listening to the gentle beeping of a machine tied to his body, and as he slowly tried to sit up, he felt an immense strain to even move. He ached, like there was a weight pulling down on each of his limbs. Was this what happened when you died for good? A bright white room and a weight holding you down? It certainly seemed unpleasant He shifted slowly so that he was propped up by his pillows and ran his fingers through his hair. His clothes were different. No longer in the handyman-get up he was wearing but instead in... a sheet. 

Is my butt out? He thought to himself hands resting on the bedsheets covering his form and pulling them closer to cover more of his body. “Great Gobstopping gumballs...” 

He didn’t know how long he spent just staring into space, lost in thought and confusion, but in time, he heard someone approach outside. His hands clutched the sheet as the door to the room opened, and in walked a man in a white coat and wearing glasses. A doctor, Felix presumed. The man greeted him with a smile and was kind enough, but seemed to recognise that the man in the bed felt oblivious and intimidated at that moment. 

“Amnesia.” He said. “Your body went through a lot of trauma, so it’s not all that surprising that it happened. It’s possibly temporary, so you could always recover them. We’ll be letting you leave soon enough so you can go back home, but we would like to keep you in the hospital to run some tests.” As Felix blinked slowly the doctor offered him a glass of water and a soft nod. 

“Welcome back to the waking world, Mr. Jumpman.”

I love Arthur and Felix together so so much and I ship them hard... So, is it bad that I also ship Calhoun and Felix together?

Calhoun and Felix will always have an indescribable bond, but I don’t think anything could compare to the epicness of Arlix.
