summary : felix chamberlain loathes the leaders of that village for sacrificing an innocent child like yourself to him. but oh well, if they didn't sacrifice you to him— maybe he wouldn't be able to meet you.

tw : yandere behaviour, unhealthy obsession, possessive behaviour, mentions of killing, violence, abandonment, manipulation, creepy behaviour.

there was a tale that was famous in your village. a tale about a demon who goes on a rampage after the people in this village killed his sister and his wife. at first, when you heard that tale from a certain friend of yours. you thought that it was just fake, that the demon in that tale wasn't existing. but, yeah, you are wrong.

well, you see. unlike the other kids on your village, you were different. because they call you as a child who killed her own mother. that was the reason why your family especially your father hates you so much. and that's also the reason why your father, who's one of the leaders on your village, decided to offer you to the demon on that said tales.

on the meantime, felix, the said demon. was currently sitting inside his house. just like usual, he was waiting for those humans to attack and kill him. no offense, but this guy wants to die so bad yet, he cannot. since he was different from his little sister and his human wife.

and that was when he noticed that some humans entered his forest. he was ecstatic to the point that he immediately teleported to the place where those humans are. but when he arrived at that place, the only human that he saw there was you. an unconscious little child with full of scratches and bruises all over your body.

this guy was surprised by the fact that you're still alive after getting those bruises. but at the same time, he felt enraged after seeing your condition... wait, felix became confused. why would he feel angry when he doesn't even know you? anyways, after watching you for almost an hour. felix carefully lifted you into his arms, scared that you might get hurt because of him.

and before he left. he looked back at the place where he found you. and notice some presence hiding behind the trees. felix face darkened as he smirked. it looks like humans are more selfish and greedy than he thought.

after arriving at his house. felix lay you down on claudia, his sister's bed. now, are you wondering if felix knows how to nurse a human kid? of course not! and are you also wondering how he'll gonna heal you? of course he'll gonna use magic!

and after using healing magic on you. this guy spent a whole week, staying by your side. watching you sleep and thinking how a little kid like yourself was able to sleep for so long? what are you dreaming about? he smiled, he suddenly remembered how his claudia adores human children. and if he and his wife, irene had a child.. will their child look like you?

after having that thought. felix sighed as he finally realized that he doesn't have any food on his house to offer to you. after seeing that you're still sleeping peacefully. felix finally left your side to find some food. now, if he thinks about it— he does have a plenty of money. so why not go to the near village to buy your needs while disguising himself as a human? hmm, that's not a bad idea!

and... unexpectedly, felix had fun while exploring the human village near his house (of course it's not your village). some people helped him find some clothes that he assume suited to you. he couldn't help but to chuckle, this was the first time, after he lost his sister and wife, that he had fun like this.

and felix will make sure that this will last forever. i mean, those humans offered you as a sacrifice to him. so it will be alright if you become his child, no?

and after he teleported back to his house. he was confused when he saw that you were not on the bed. and this guy started overthinking that you escaped from him. after he healed you, stay on your side for a week, and bought all of these things for you. you will just escape from him?

felix's bright aura earlier will be placed with bloodlust. should he destroy your village just like what he did in the past? ah, it will be good if he kills everyone there and spares no one.

but his dark thoughts were interrupted when he heard a giggle coming from one of the rooms. he immediately goes there and opens the door. and his eyes widened after seeing you playing by yourself. he sighed in relief, while you looked at him in surprise after noticing the horn on his head.

you almost choke as you pointed your finger at him. meanwhile, felix finds it cute when you pointed your small fingers at him while asking if he was a demon. he nodded his head as he patted your head before sitting down next to you.

surprisingly, despite of being a demon, felix was gentle with you. this guy will teach you everything he knows. he even spoils you whenever he brings you with him to the village where he bought your things. you started seeing him as your father figure. and when you accidentally called him father once, this guy almost fainted.

and one day, while walking around the forest. a guy from your village approached you, saying that your father was in critical condition. you were worried of course, and you wanted to go with him. yet, you're not able to move your body.

the guy from your village froze on his spot as he saw the figure of a woman hugging your neck. His eyes and the woman's blue eyes met as the woman smiled lightly. he then flinched when he looked at your eyes which have a red hue on them. he saw how the woman whispered something in your ear as you spoke in a low yet lifeless voice.

“ what are you talking about...? felix chamberlain is my only father. ”

when you came back to your senses, you were confused when the guy earlier wasn't there anymore. you suddenly felt as if you had forgotten something important but you shrugged it off.

holding a flower crown in your hand. you came back to felix's house and you were welcomed by him. but unlike usual, felix doesn't have a gentle smile on his face. instead, he looked at you with emotionless eyes as he asked you if you met a human earlier.

but you shook your head which made felix confuse. he could easily tell that you were saying the truth. but, he felt earlier that a human entered his forest. so they didn't approach you huh? well, it's fine! since you said him the truth, this guy will give you a price! and that price was the fold that you wanted to try before!

after eating dinner, you go to claudia's room as usual and sleep there. after noticing that you're already asleep. felix will go inside the room as he saw you peacefully laying down on the bed with a smile on your face. the innocent façade that he always showing to you disappeared as he planted a small kiss on your forehead.

he smelled an unfamiliar human scent on you earlier. oh well, it doesn't matter since he heard how you called him father earlier. but he still wondering how did you forget what that guy said to you earlier. was it because of claudia?

if it's because of her, then he should be thankful for it. besides, he looked at you as he notice a small horn forming on your forehead. his lips lifted after seeing that. it looks like adding some of his blood to your foods every day finally become effective.

seeing how you slowly becoming a demon like him was good news. felix won't make the same mistake twice you know?

now, the only thing left was killing that father of yours so he will be your only father and resurrecting his dear wife and little sister. and finally, after doing those things he will be able to get the happy family that he always wanted.

‘Tis the season to spread cheer and I’m doing my part by recommending classic movies, paying them forward in hopes that these memorable distractions take people’s minds off negative goings on. Here’s the challenge…pick movie recommendations to the “12 Days of Christmas” theme as I’ve done below. Keep in mind that movie choices should be those you think would appeal to non-classics fans. Let’s grow our community and #PayClassicsForward

On the first day of Christmas, etc. etc…

One hat

The “one” listing is always a difficult one due to the fact that classics lend themselves to plenty of choices. That said, I came up with a category that encompasses important decades and several genre of film – the fedora. By following the history of the fedora in film you’ll be made privy to the best gangsters, greatest funny men, and most memorable lovers of Hollywood’s golden age. So here it is, a signature fedora:

Note that in researching my favorite fedora portrait I learned that trilbys are often mistaken for fedoras. Since experts seem to be confused between the two types of classic men’s hats that leaves little hope for me. I can’t say for sure whether Bogart is wearing a trilby in the above image, but he may well be. Descriptions of this type of hat explain the rims are shorter than your average fedoras. Either way, it’s a cool, suave look and Bogie rocks it.

From GQ: What’s the difference between a fedora and a trilby?

Answer: Traditionally a fedora has a wide brim and in the UK a wide ribbon band and bow. A trilby has a narrow brim and narrow ribbon, although there are some American trilbies that still have the wide ribbon.

  Two Fairbanks

Things were not simple between Douglas Fairbanks and Douglas Fairbanks, Jr. as it is for many families, but the son wore his father’s name proudly. I chose this father and son combination because if you watch their films you’ll get a healthy helping of everything from silent adventure to pre-code delicacies through some terrific television work. These are careers worth following.

  Three Trios

There are quite a few choices for memorable trios in film including Cattle rustlers Robert Hightower (John Wayne), Pedro “Pete” Rocafuerte (Pedro Armendáriz), and William Kearney (Harry Carey, Jr.) in John Ford’s 3 Godfathers. That one is definitely difficult to pass up. That said, I think the following trios are likely to be looked at less by casual fans and they all deserve attention. These are my choices of trios in movies:

They are such a joy to behold. I remember them fondly from my days as a child watching them on TV. It seemed then that they appeared in a million movies, but that wasn’t the case. Still, these siblings are a joy in films like Buck Pirates with Abbott and Costello and their film debut in Albert S. Rogell’s Argentine Nights (1940). The Andrews Sisters made 17 films, more than any other singing group and all are a terrific way to be introduced to the movies. If that record does not impress you, then maybe this one will: LaVerne, Maxene, and Patty garnered 113 charted Billboard hits with 46 of those reaching the top 10. That’s more than Elvis Presley or The Beatles.

  I have nothing against Disney. In fact, I enjoy their classic animated films immensely. Due to that I’m less than enthusiastic about their constant remakes, which – in my opinion – disrespects those wonderful, older film accomplishments. Today I pay tribute to one of them by way of a trio of glorious characters made in the memorable Disney vein we’ve all come to know and love, that combination of warmth and delightful comedy that permeate those wonderful films. These characters are Princess Aurora’s three good fairy godmothers Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in Disney’s 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty. They alone pay tribute to an enchanting legacy.

  The final mention here goes to three Russian envoys who have arrived in Paris to sell a fortune in jewelry, imperial jewelry, the money of which is to go to the Russian government, which is in need of cash. The three, Iranoff, Buljanoff and Kopalski (played hilariously by Sig Ruman, Felix Bressart and Alexander Granach, respectively) who are supposed to be doing work for the Russian government, immediately get caught up in the excesses of capitalism and fail to sell the jewelry.  Moscow then sends a special envoy to Paris to investigate what’s going on with the trio and the jewelry. The envoy is the rigid and humorless, Comrade Yakushova – Ninotchka (Greta Garbo). The charming Melvyn Douglas plays Ninotchka’s love interest in Ernst Lubitsch’s delightful comedy, but it’s the three envoys in the hands of Ruman, Bressart and Granach that make this movie among the greats in the annals of comedy. I just want to get to know them better and so should you.

  Four Skippy Performances

It’s no wonder this wire-haired terrier was the highest paid canine star of his day. Often referred to as “Asta,” thanks to his successful appearances in The Thin Man movies, his real name was Skippy – and we love him to tears. Although I’m choosing only four of his film performances, Skippy never made a bad movie and starred opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest names. If you keep an eye out for Skippy’s filmography on TCM, you will no doubt be introduced to an astounding talent as well as a terrific movie. It’s guaranteed. My Skippy suggestions are:

Skippy as Asta in The Thin Man movies opposite William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles. I can’t imagine you haven’t seen The Thin Man (1934), but may not have given any of the sequels a try. If that’s the case you will be delighted by Skippy in any one of his key performances:

  Skippy is wonderful as Mr. Smith in The Awful Truth. Worth a custody dispute between Warriner and Warriner played by Cary Grant and Irene Dunne, this time Skippy is required to add straight drama to his repertoire as he is required to choose between his two humans right off the bat. There’s also plenty for him to do on the comedy front, however, so this one is a must-see.

  Skippy as George in Howard Hawks’ Bringing Up Baby opposite Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant. Another terrific outing for our favorite pooch as he is central to action thanks to his burying abilities.

  This sequel to Norman Z. McLeod’s 1937 hit Topper lacks some of the charm of its predecessor, but the talents of Constance Bennett, Roland Young, Billie Burke, Alan Mowbry, and Skippy make it well worth your time. Here, Skippy matched Bennett’s ghostly wit by ghostly wit in a role that stretches his talents to matters beyond this world and he approaches it with signature enthusiasm.

Gone With the Wind is celebrating its 80th anniversary on December 15 and, as the biggest, most famous movie ever made, it deserves at least a mention here.

On that day in 1939, Atlanta’s Loew’s Grand Theater was buzzing with Hollywood’s biggest names. It was such an occasion for Atlanta that the film’s opening was a 3-day event as Governor Eurith Dickinson Rivers declared a three-day holiday. Other politicians asked that Georgians dress in period clothing. A lot had happened in Hollywood leading up to that premiere though including the famous search for the film’s leading lady, the protagonist of Margaret Mitchell’s 1936 blockbuster novel, Scarlett O’Hara. Every female star it seems auditioned for the part. Among them were Bette Davis, Jean Arthur, Tallulah Bankhead, Joan Bennett, Claudette Colbert, Frances Dee, and Paulette Goddard who, as stories go, was close to being chosen. As we all know, however, Scarlett went to the lovely, British Vivien Leigh who possessed an outstanding talent.   Eleven Movies about Millionaires

Since I recommended movies about hobos in a previous year, I thought the time came for millionaires. There are many wonderful movies about the super rich, particularly during the Great Depression when audiences loved seeing the plight of these people play out for laughs. That theme made for some of film history’s best screwball comedies. The super rich, however, have lent themselves for entertaining movie fare ever since the movies began and in every genre. Check out this terrific list from Forbes spotlighting millionaires in movies.

As for me, I have quite a few favorites with millionaire themes that appeal to most others as well. These include such popular titles as The Philadelphia Story, the shenanigans of the Charleses in The Thin Man movies, My Man Godfrey, The Lady Eve, How to Marry a Millionaire, and movies featuring recognizable names like Charles Foster Kane and Bruce Wayne. For this purpose, however, I recommend lesser known, but worthy millionaire movie stories I’ve watched through the years – some in terrible condition, a few greats, and some for plain ole fun. Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween – effective after all these years.

Orson Welles in Citizen Kane – although Welles’ performance is what I find hardest to like in Kane, I cannot deny its impact and status among characters in film.

Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday – appropriate introduction for royalty in film and in life. She charms you from the first moment.

Eva Marie Saint in On the Waterfront – exclamation point to begin a stellar movie career.

Barbra Streisand in Funny Girl – a tour de force and a phenomenon

Peter Lorre in M – brilliant, nightmarish, heartbreaking. Described by director Fritz Lang as “one of the best in film history.” I agree.

Julie Andrews in Mary Poppins – Her debut should have been as Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady, but we’ll take this and so did she. Not only did Andrews win the Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of the magical nanny, but she won the hearts of the world in the process.

Timothy Hutton in Ordinary People – ordinarily superb.

Angela Lansbury in Gaslight – small part, big impact. Undeniable screen presence.

Edward Norton in Primal Fear – convincing and chilling.

Greer Garson in Goodbye, Mr. Chips – She wanted a worthy role as her screen introduction. She got it. She killed it – as she did from that moment on.

Eddie Murphy in 48 Hours – I love this performance highlighting the scope of Murphy’s talent.

I gave this final topic a lot of thought as there are many worthy contenders. For instance, I’m sure many would choose James Dean’s turn in East of Eden, as big a legend-ensuring performance as there ever was, but it’s not a favorite of mine. Tatum O’Neill’s performance in Paper Moon is another one I considered as were Marlee Matlin’s in Children of a Lesser God and Lupita Nyong’o heartbreaking Patsey in 12 Years a Slave. Finally, I adore Robert Duvall’s debut appearance in To Kill a Mockingbird. And I could go on and on. We just have an embarrassment of riches.

The year 2020 has no choice but to be momentous, heralding in a new decade with the most satisfying numerical repetition. 1. THE NEW A-LIST CELEBRITY

The stars everyone will be buzzing about in 2020 have one major quality in common: authenticity. A new wave of young actors, artists, and influencers are embracing their identities and making the landscape more diverse than ever. In 2019, musicians like Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X, and Lizzo paved the way for emerging talents who will similarly play by their own rules in the new year. There's Clairo, a 21-year-old bedroom-pop singer who's steadily (and somewhat accidentally) gained a hefty following since she released a low-fi music video that went viral in 2017. Poet and singer-songwriter Arlo Parks is another one to watch, taking the world by storm with her confessional lyrics about anxiety, adolescence, and identity. In the influencer sphere, you can count on teen YouTube sensation Emma Chamberlain to continue to grow her fan base in 2020, as Gen Zers relate to her unfiltered, down-to-earth content and quirky humor. A social media star who became a YouTube Originals actor, Rickey Thompson is unabashedly himself in all of his Instagram videos, oozing unapologetic confidence and inspiring his followers to do the same. Expect these stars and more to become household names that everyone stans.

2. EMBRACING EARTHY NEUTRALS

Whereas punchy neons reigned supreme in 2019, the new year will dial things down to the opposite end of the spectrum with more natural, muted colors in the spotlight. Earthy neutrals were prominent on the Spring 2020 runways, with designers like Max Mara, Kate Spade, and Brandon Maxwell serving up caramel browns, rusty khakis, and olive greens as onlookers donned similar safari-inspired looks. You can expect this proclivity for subdued hues to bleed into the home decor sphere in 2020, too. According to data pulled by interior design service Modsy, calming neutrals and serene blues (looking at you, Pantone's 2020 color of the year!) are among the most popular color groups for those decorating their living spaces, perfect for those coping with the rather — how do we put this lightly? — loud political climate.

3. SUMMER OLYMPICS SWITCH-UPS

The 2020 Summer Olympics are taking us to Tokyo, and four sports are making their Olympic Games debuts. Athletes from across the globe will now vie for gold in climbing, karate, skateboarding, and surfing, along with OG sports like archery, gymnastics, swimming, and beach volleyball. Baseball and softball will return to the Olympics for the first time since 2008. Plus, there will be nine new mixed-gender events, with men and women competing in sailing, table tennis, swimming and track relays, and more.

Some top female contenders to keep your eyes on? Park skateboarder Brighton Zeuner, a 15-year-old with two X Games gold medals under her belt, will likely be crushing the quarter pipes. Running icon Allyson Felix could become the most decorated US track and field Olympian should she qualify for the team and nab two medals at the games. Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles is expected to defend her title as Olympic all-around champion from the 2016 Summer Games, and the US women's soccer team will certainly dominate the field, fresh off their World Cup victory. 4. GEN Z ROCK THE VOTE

Pssst, have you heard? There's a presidential election happening in 2020, and the youngest generation of voters is expected to play a key role in who assumes the Oval Office. One in 10 eligible voters will be members of Gen Z (aged 18 to 23 at the time of the election), up from just four percent in 2016. This slice of the electorate is more ethnically and racially diverse than older generations, is more accepting of same-sex marriage and gender fluidity, and believes government should be doing more to solve Americans' problems. Not to mention they're also particularly passionate about issues like climate change and gun control, both of which are hot-button topics for this election.

Of course, voter eligibility doesn't necessarily equate to turnout, so registering and actually showing up to the polls is crucial if this group wants to effect change. Considering the throngs of young activists who've taken to the streets for Global Climate Strike protests and March For Our Lives demonstrations in the past few years, we have an inkling they'll come through knowing what's at stake in 2020.

5. PLANT-BASED MEATS GO MAINSTREAM

Once seen as a niche product only consumed by vegans and vegetarians, plant-based meats will continue garnering mainstream acceptance among traditionally carnivorous foodies in the coming year. The market is predicted to grow by 28 percent each year until it reaches a whopping $85 billion by 2030, thanks to an increasing number of consumers with health, environmental, and animal welfare concerns. Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat are leading the charge, producing alt-meats for grocery store shoppers and partnering with chain restaurants like Burger King, KFC, and Subway to bring affordable options to the masses. We foresee even more restaurants introducing plant-based meat menu items that go beyond (pun semi-intended) beef-free burgers.

Not fully on board with the alt-meat craze yet? Try blended meats, which combine animal protein with vegetables. Major brands, including Tyson Foods, Applegate, and Perdue, have recently introduced meat-veggie hybrid products like sausage, chicken nuggets, burger patties, and meatballs that appeal to those looking to cut back on, but not fully eliminate, meat consumption. A cheeseburger that also contains a serving of vegetables sounds like a pretty hard-to-resist offering, if you ask us.
