Not to engage with The Drama but it is genuinely so funny to me how often I’ve seen people who haven’t caught up on the show complain about feligami. Because they’ll make completely logical arguments and I’m just like “omg bestie you WOULD be so correct. If these were Normal Guys. However. Every single character in this show is an absolute freak in their own special way. 💕💕💕 and the stars aligned so perfectly 💕💕💕 and félix and kagami invented romance 💕💕💕.”

It’s like???? Yes. Adrien and Marinette are treating Kagami better than ever. Yes. Félix is an unstable little idiot who doesn’t know how to interact with human beings and possesses the power for incredible violence. Yes. Kagami does crave stability and gentleness. And yet, it is also so true to the core of everything that Félix and Kagami have something so incredible going on with such rich narrative value that is making me rethink the concepts of love and trust and sacrifice and devotion.

And you cannot get all of that from osmosis,,, you literally just have to watch the episodes and be like,,,, omg they did WHAT????? And scream and cry. This is miraculous ladybug, if you are here for predictable, calm relationships,,,, why????? Hello??????? This is the star-crossed / magically-cursed / blessed-by-the-gods / dramatic-irony / cringefail / overwhelmingly-sweet / complex-beyond-belief relationship show,,,,, and sometimes it has wild little relationships in it that catch you by surprise and don’t make any sense until they’re suddenly the only thing that makes sense in this cruel world,,,,,

Prompt Fill: Feligami’s first few dates

Feligami's first few dates, starting right when he gives her her ring, them both being touch starved (cause yes they are) and them dealing with it and progressing really rapidly to the kisses part and being amazed by that :3 Maybe Kagami holding herself back a little after her experience with Adrien. Sitting in the theater with her hand in his, he felt powerful. Like the world was his, and all he had to do was keep holding her hand. The warmth of her palm against his was intoxicating. He didn't remember anything about the movie, not even a moment. Because all he could feel was the warmth of her palm, the way her pulse thrummed softly against his skin. The fact that she was next to him, holding him, here because she wanted to be. Holding his hand because she chose to. No one had ever chosen him before, not even his own mother. Amelie loved him dearly, but she had not chosen to have him. She had been forced to. But Kagami was choosing him, someone choosing him. Him. Her hand squeezed his, never made an attempt to move away until she had to leave him.

And when she left, he dreamed about the feel of her hand tucked in his. *~* The first time she leaned into him they both jolted as though they had been shocked, immediately pulling apart before gradually drifting back together, shifting to accommodate each other.

Her breath brushed faintly against his collarbone and her hair tickled his neck. He had never wanted something to remain just as it was, frozen in time before in his life.

He knew he was breathing unnecessarily shallowly, because she jumped a bit when he took a proper breath. But she didn't pull away, she didn't complain about how loud his breathing was.

It was wonderful, her weight against him, her heart racing against his chest.

The soft press of her body was all he wanted.

He daringly dropped his chin a bit so that he could breathe in the scent of her hair, and after they parted he imagined he could still smell her on his shirt for hours afterwards. *~* The first time they kissed he had been aiming for a cheek kiss. She turned her head and their lips brushed.

She blushed, he blushed. They pulled apart.

She hesitated a moment, and then resolutely stood on her tiptoes and kissed him.

He clung to her hands because he didn't know what to do with his own, breath soft.

He wondered if he tasted funny, he wondered if he was doing it right.

He didn't want to stop when they parted. Her hand lifted to press against his cheek.

They stood, neither of them wanting to be the first to pull away.

They stayed until her watch beeped - summoning her to her next engagement. ~*~ After the first time, the kisses came easier. Soft presses of lips, lingering touches. Polite, still, hands firmly above the clothes as much as his might have ached to wander. She crossed that line first, hand slipping under his shirt to press against his stomach, eyes on his the entire time.

He whimpered because the heat (of her) against his skin after they had already been exchanging kisses was enough to make his already saturated mind go wild. He was hungry for her skin on his, wherever she was willing to put it.

It wasn't until later that he discovered she was just as hungry he was.

He has never wanted to touch someone in his life, the desperate want to hold Adrien's hand when his mind is spinning out of control non-withstanding. (A different sort of anchor, together the cracks feel smaller, less overwhelming. Adrien is as close as his soul, as deep as his heartbeat. Adrien fills in the parts of him that were poorly formed and broken from the start. Kagami makes him forget that there are cracks at all.) *~* "I love you." He whispers, a stolen moment at her window. She should be sleeping, he should be gone. They're dodging her mother's security to do this at all. But the slow kisses and warmth of the touches has kept him coming back. Like an addict desperate for the next hit, he comes back. Duusu never tries to convince him otherwise, and sometimes he thinks the Kwami *should* because he's fallen so deeply in love with her it makes him forget everything he had learned about survival.

Her eyes search his face, and she must like what she sees because she smiles. "I love you, Felix." He lets out a breathy sigh and pulls her into another kiss, searing the reality of her deep into his soul. It's a constant litany, a prayer against the roof of his mouth. Lost in the tide of the many voiceless evocations he has held within himself through his life, but rising above them somehow to demand its place in his life.

It's poetry, it's his everything. He would write it but he knows the words would just spiral on. 'I love you, I love you, I love you.' His heart has never been his to give, though Adrien held part of it before he was old enough to know he needed to guard it. He loved his mother with the same desperation any child might, but there had been no love spared for himself. Only survival. Live. But now that he was safe, how could he stop himself from falling for her? She was everything, the sun to his earth after too many days of rain. Everything bursting into full bloom, riotous with spring. Freedom was growth, and Kagami was warmth coaxing him out.

And parting such sweet sorrow, stolen moments never enough to sustain him, always looking for the next chance to steal her away.

Remember what I said earlier about how TA says that Chloé's 'damnation arc'(god that phrase makes me want to commit arson) was to 'show that sometimes people can be given chance after chance and refuse to get better'?

The biggest problem with that in specific is that we don't have any examples of jerk/bad people who /do/ choose to get better!

Chloé had the rug pulled out from under her and is just 'lmao she's evil'.

Lila is even more evil, has a fuckton of cons going including making three women think she's their daughter, and is becoming the new Big Bad for Season 6

Sabrina is probably the only person who suddenly has any conscience but it's out of nowhere and even then implied that it's not that she's 'good' now it's because 'this is crossing a line' she doesn't regret anything else she did before.

Felix isn't so much a good person now as it is that he fell for Kagami and will do anything she asks and she's a good person. Felix himself is still pretty amoral and would throw everyone else under the bus otherwise and god forbid those two ever have a fight or a breakup.

Sabrina is probably the only person who suddenly has any conscience but it's out of nowhere and even then implied that it's not that she's 'good' now it's because 'this newest plan is crossing a line' she doesn't regret anything else she did before. I also say she barely counts because the classmates treat her as either a non-entity or a victim depending on what they're going for despite her being an equal and gleefully willing participant in everything she did.

Gabriel doesn't even get a redemption we just get him killing himself to bring back Emilie and Marinette honoring his final wish to be remembered as a good person by lying to everyone and gaslighting them into thinking he's good all along just 'uwu he missed his wife and was a bit fucky about it'.

Tomoe is just still doing what she's doing and has no remorse she gets away scott free from everything.

Audrey is still an abusive bitch and doesn't give a fuck about anyone even her kids.

Nathalie is probably the closest thing to switching to the good side but even then it's mostly just her finding out that Emilie didn't want this and that Gabriel stopped caring about Adrien and she's like 'nah fam I'm not about that'. She's not a /good/ person she doesn't join the Heroes and help them she's just protecting Adrien so it's the same thing as feligami.

So yeah like????

Yeah, there's going to be some people who, no matter what, aren't going to change. But where are the people who /do/ change????

to put things in perspective

let’s think about a family dinner

let’s start with Adrien and Marinette.

They sit down for dinner at the mansion. Marinette knows Adrien is a senti, that his dad was monarch, and that gabe died; Adrien knows he loves Marinette.

Nathalie and Emilie/Amelie join at the head seats. Nathalie knows Monarch was Gabriel. Emilie wouldn’t know, Amelie would maybe know bc of Felix. Nathalie would know Adrien was a senti, probably knows about Felix. Does Amelie know Nathalie loved her sister so much? Did Emilie know? Emilie wouldn’t know Nathalie once had romantic feelings for Gabe.

Felix and Kagami join. Felix does NOT know Nathalie was Mayura, who has killed a sentibeing (also news to Amelie/Emilie). Feligami know Marinette is Ladybug, and know the stock information on Adrien.

Side note: this is actually where Feligami announce themselves as dating because wtf no one knew.

Felix (Flairmidible) once double crossed Marinette, but Argos now works with Ladybug (and Adrien. the guy who is Chat, sitting across the table).

Adrien doesn’t know that Felix tried kissing Ladybug once disguised as him.

Adrien and Kagami remain friends, but she still cried in Adrien and Marinette’s arms not long ago.

No one knows a wish was made and that this reality is different except Marinette, Plagg, and Tikki.

Man Marinette is connected to a lot of major players in Salvation, huh?

She is, and I'll give a brief breakdown of how as this may be subject to change:

Gabriel and Audrey - I'm grouping these two together as their goals are the same. In Salvation, Audrey runs not only a fashion magazine, but her own brand. It's when Nathalie introduces the idea of having Marinette be the female model for the Agreste brand does it spark the battle between Gabriel and Audrey for who gets Marinette for their brands.

Adrien - This is one of a few that I'm tossing back and forth between changes. My initial plan was to pair Adrien off with Marinette and Luka, but that is changing as I write. As it stands right now, Adrien is setting up to be Mari's best friend. I'm kinda liking the idea and may keep it, however, we shall see.

Kagami - Again, another that I had planned to have paired off with someone else (Felix) but will be changing that approach (sorry, Feligami shippers) but as it stands, she will cross paths with Marinette a lot. As for the relationship that will blossom between them? Fuck, even I don't know yet.

Alya - Just as the show, Alya is Marinette's best friend. At the point I've written to, Alya makes a sacrifice for Marinette in hopes to help her become her own player, especially since she's been severed from her greatest asset.

Bridgette - Marinette's cousin and bodyguard. Bridge is by far the most loyal and will have to go through a journey of her own to discover if what she wants is to stay at Marinette's side forever, or finally lead her own life.

Colt -A lot like Nathalie, Colt is one of many gamemasters, pulling at the strings to get the outcome he wants. Granted he is dealing with another pulling at the strings, but with Marinette being pulled into their world by Gabriel and Audrey, she is now in Colt's sights.

Nathalie - Marinette's opposite, the betrayal to her devotion. She will be a massive thorn but also the greatest asset to Marinette.

Luka - Lukanette.

I had been trying to write this fic since I was 14, with the wrong characters and the wrong tools. I have many feelings about what makes a family and what it means to heal and what magic truly is and I am so so so happy to have finally stitched it together!!! I generally start out with Arial, as the sleek design is easier on my brain, and switch it around when editing to spot typos better! I recently discovered Lora, which I think is really cute.

Rainy mornings in bed, or sunny early afternoons when it’s not to warm! I like to feel cosy. 💜

Music helps a lot! I owe EPIC in particular sooo much inspiration. But sometimes you just need to disconnect entirely, at which points video games (namely Professor Layton, Pokémon, Animal Crossing and Hades) are a nice break!
