I do very much like Claudie’s design and outfits so I’m not just like a rampant hater for the new dolls hgdfg. I don’t think I would buy her because I do not want to be spending that kind of money on dolls rn but I really like her! (I bought Felicity as an adult when they did the anniversary limited edition rerelease but I’ve literally wanted a Felicity since I was eight so that justified it)

reading planning perfect by haley neil and oh i should adore this book but unfortunately it's just so so for me.

ya contemporary with aspec rep? love it. jewish mc? fantastic. mc with anxiety. absolutely love to see it. long distance friendship turned romance??? absolutely my jam.

but i have to tell you, felicity is infuriating. and i realize that's part of her arc is getting the perspective she needs. and maybe it's because she reminds me of parts of myself that were very rampant in younger me(and sometimes gear back up now) but i get so mad at her (and her mom and grandmother!!!).

like i realize she loves planning things but her mom should not be allowing her to do this much. that is irresponsible. felicity has way too much investment in this wedding and her version of what a wedding should be is interfering with what her mom and finance want.

she wants perfect perfect perfect and perfect is unattainable and subjective.

anyways, im really frustrated with the fact that the adults in her life are not setting proper boundaries with her because it clearly has had a negative impact and continues to. im excited for the conclusion of this story as i anticipate it wi be what i want.
