Often middle eastern food is gluten free, while east asian food can be really hard to get gluten free. Which, if you recall from my previous posts, is absolutely buck wild, because the middle east INVENTED GLUTEN.
#feels weird to single out east asia here but like theres SO MUCH gluten#meanwhile india for example it's not so bad!!#south american food is weird bc in a lot of stuff there's introduced wheat#but like you can still get traditional wheat-free versions without too much effort#whereas seriously japan particularly. so. much. wheat.#i am not aware of a less gf friendly cusuine
