sim jaeyun x fem!reader | you’re the spider-man…?
Tumblr media
genre. spider-man!jake, fluff + established relationship cw. none! notes. my entry for my own event! decided to reimagine that scene between ned and peter from spider-man homecoming!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you and jake had spent hours building a lego empire state building. it was jake’s gift to you, knowing how much you enjoyed legos. he had saved up his allowance, keeping it a secret until your birthday came around. you felt bad at first, knowing how much the set was. but jake was sweet as ever and assured you that he didn’t mind. he had been saving up for your gift specifically.
he couldn’t help you finish building it, explaining how he had to attend his internship after school. you were a bit disappointed at first but then decided to go to his apartment with the finished product and wait for him to return. his aunt loved you, allowing you to wait in his room only after she invited you to stay for dinner.
you sat on jake’s bed, the large lego structure sitting in your lap when his window suddenly opened. you tensed up, your blood running cold as someone climbed in and softly closed the window. the first thing you noticed was how their feet didn’t touch the ground, the person was crawling along jake’s ceiling.
and the second thing— the person was spider-man. fucking spider-man was crawling along your boyfriend’s ceiling and you weren’t sure how to react.
spider-man didn’t seem to notice your sitting figure on the bed as he softly closed his bedroom door, shutting his room away from the prying eyes of his aunt. once spider-man thought the coast was clear, he hung down from the ceiling before slipping his mask off.
as soon as he turned around, you gasped— the lego structure tumbling to the ground when you stood up. you didn’t even bat an eye, too busy trying to process the fact that you had been lied to for months.
“are you okay?” jake’s aunt asked from outside the door.
“um-yeah! i’m fine, just tripped.” you replied, your heart beating extremely fast as you waited for her to walk off. as soon as the sound of her footsteps got lighter, you finally felt as if you could breathe.
“jake…jake— oh my gosh.” you could barley talk, tripping over your own words as you began to pace back and forth in his room. jake looked just as panicked as you did, his chest rising up and down rapidly and his eyes wide.
“i’m uh, i’m not spider-man.” jake made up some lame excuse. he began to quickly take off his suit, as if he were trying to hide it despite you witnessing him in all his glory already.
“you were on the ceiling!” you practically yelled, disbelief in your tone.
“no i wasn…what are you doing in my room?” jake growled, feeling a bit overwhelmed now that his girlfriend knew his secret identity.
“don’t you dare try to gaslight me right now, jaeyun. what the fuck is your problem? how dare you keep this from me?” you hissed, lightly shoving his bare chest when he tried to get closer to you.
“y/n— i’m really sorry.” he sighed, quickly pulling on an oversized sweater he had lying on the floor. you let out a low whine before sitting back on his bed, once again ignoring the mess of legos on the small rug.
jake sat down next to you, keeping a reasonable distance since he could see how upset you were at him.
“why didn’t you tell me?” you asked after about a minute, finally turning to look at jake. the boy sighed, running a hand through his hair as he carefully thought of what to say.
“i just…i was scared, alright? one day i was bitten by a spider and then the next i was handed these crazy powers that i didn’t know how to handle. and when i became spider-man, it just brought along a whole bunch of people who wanted to hurt me and anyone close to me. if they tried to use you to get to me, i’d never forgive myself. i wanted to keep you safe because i love you, even if i seemed like a shitty boyfriend.” jake explained, looking away from your intense gaze. despite the initial anxiety he felt, explaining his thought process to you felt as if a wet blanket had been lifted off his shoulders.
“jake, i just wish you would’ve talked to me. i get that you wanted to keep me safe, but i hate the fact that you had to go through this alone.” you replied, a small frown on your face.
“i know. im so sorry, y/n. i wanted you to know, there were times where i almost did tell you. i hope you’re not too mad at me.” jake said, his head hanging low as he waited for a response. you let out a deep sigh before moving closer to jake and pulling his body into yours. the boy immediately melted into your touch.
“i’m not mad at you. i was only disappointed but i understand now. i love you, jake, and this doesn’t change anything. it will take me a while to process the fact that my boyfriend is a legit superhero but…i guess it’s kind of cool.” you explained, moving your hand up to jake’s hair to play with it. the boy sighed against your chest, a small smile breaking out onto his face.
“thanks for understanding, y/n. i love you a lot.” jake lifted his head from your body, looking you in the eyes. his face, expressive as ever, showed sincerity. he was grateful to have you and even though you knowing his secret made him a bit nervous, jake felt relieved that a big part of his life didn’t have to be so hidden anymore.
“i love you too— and please remember how much you love me before you see the mess on the floor.” you replied quickly, your words coming out rushed. jake’s head whipped towards the carpet, a gasp leaving his mouth as he observed the small pieces all over his carpet.
“y/n! what did you do?

pairing: bestfriend!peter parker x fem!reader
sypnosis: after peter misses his chance to ask you out to the homecoming dance, he has to suffer the consequences of his own actions
wc: 1200+
a/n: hiii!! i have the urge to write again bc im bored and i dont wanna do my summer course work. this prompt is based on this post and loosely based on that one scene in the movie ladybird when she gets picked up by her date. i wrote this super quickly so not the best but i hope u enjoy :)
Tumblr media
peter had it first. he had the idea, the flowers, the poster, your favorite chocolate strawberries all ready for you. until brad davis came in and stole everything.
now he has nothing. he’s on your bed munching on the melty strawberries as he watches you get ready for the dance; you’ve asked for his help in choosing which dress you should go for.
“okay how ‘bout this one, pete?” the boy glances up at you, mid-chew with his mouth open.
his eyes snake over the outfit you’ve chosen. you do a swift twirl to show off the pretty soft blue satin dress that falls down to your mid-thigh with an open back. the skirt of your dress rides a bit high revealing a little too much. peter gulps, running his hands down his legs, immediately your sweet honey perfume floods his senses, his brain feels a little fuzzy, and he thinks the room gets smaller while his pants get a tiny bit tighter.
however, your eyes are what he takes in the most. you look eager, nervous about his approval, and hopeful for his admission.
his eyes widen as he gives you a soft nod and a pursed smile, “super pretty.”
you stare back at peter, his hair is flared, and you see chocolate smeared on his bottom lip. his posture looks defeated and you can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with him.
you give him a sour yet confused face, “why is your face like that?”
peter’s eyebrows furrow at your expression, “my face- why is my face like what?”
“like…” you take a moment to think, “like- you look like that chef in that one movie with the rat, he’s got that same awkward funny looking face.”
peter barks out a laugh in disbelief, “alfredo linguini?? from ratatouille?!” “yea! that guy.”
the boy in front of you offers you a pout and rubs his eyes, “thanks.”
“sure thing.” peter glazes over your seamless makeup when you take a seat next to him, “so, you’re really not coming? why not? it’ll be fun, plus all of our friends are going” you whine.
peter kicks himself every day since you got asked out to homecoming by brad. he knows he should have made his proposal to you sooner, but now that he missed his chance, he feels like he’s lost you.
“oh, so brad’s our friend now? and nah, it’s alright. i’m just gonna go patrolling tonight, might get some good action.” his eyebrows suggestively
you muster up a smirk and breathe out a laugh, “right. maybe you’ll find your own ‘cupid of crime’ that’ll show you a good time.”
peter groans at you, “oh my god, margot robbie is so-”
honk!
“oh,” your ears perk up at the sudden interruption, “i guess that’s my date.” you quickly stand up and straighten your dress, taking nervous breaths.
“i’m good right? my dress? face? hair?” your fingers run through your shiny locks, “its- i’m, i’m okay?”
peter has an indiscernible look plastered on his face as he gazes out the window and back at you. he’s shocked you’d settle for this, and even more appalled at you’re excitement to go with a douchebag who can’t even meet you at the front door. he knows you deserve better than this, and he knows he would treat you so much better with much less than your date. his stomach turns upside down and he feels his face get hot, breathing through his nostrils as he struggles to control his disbelief. he slowly stands up and meets your anxious expression peering up at him.
“you aren’t gonna get in a car with a guy who honks, are you?”
it’s almost as if the entire atmosphere shifts. peter studies your appearance. your face shimmered sanguinely regardless, brighter than the glitter that sparkled atop your eyelids.
it was safe to say you were excited to go to the dance, even if your date wasn’t your first choice. you had been waiting endlessly for peter to ask you to homecoming. you were almost depressed at the thought thinking your crush didn’t like you back, but even more upset at the fact that your best friend didn’t even want to take you as his date, romantically or not.
you remembered the feeling of delight swirling through your body as betty gushed about ned asking her to the dance, and mj agreeing to harry’s proposal.
you only wanted the same for yourself. the same thrill and warm feeling of someone wanting to take you as their date. you wanted more than anything for it to be peter, but you figured he simply didn’t think of you like that as empty time and hopeless anticipation went by. so yes, you did settle for brad davis. he’s only ever been sweet to you, with harmless flirting and sultry smiles in the halls. plus you had a hunch about peter’s displeasing stance on the man, and presumed this may have tipped peter over just the right amount.
you simply blink at his desperate eyes and nod, your adamant expression not wavering, “i think, yes, i am.”
you offer him a wistful smile when you brush past him, grabbing your purse on the way.
“y/n, stop.” peter’s finger’s wrap around your small wrist, your charm bracelet dangling against his hand.
“are you serious? what, the shithead can’t walk a few feet and knock on the door like a real man?”
“peter!” you snatch your wrist back and his hands rise.
you feel heat rushing up your neck and settling behind your ears. you had wanted a reaction out of peter when brad asked you out, yes, but the entitlement he has to mention about the manhood of brad angered you.
“i’m just saying,” he steps back from you, licking his dry lips while he chuckles back at you. “a guy who doesn’t have the balls to greet you at your doorstep isn’t worth falling for.”
you scoff at him, he was so sweet and now he’s only taking his anger out on you. “well it’s a good thing that he’s just a friend then. what’s it to you anyways?”
peter disregards your last statement, “a friend?! y/n/n, listen to me. you’re being naive if you think he just wants to be your friend.”
another honk outside pierces your ears, yet you can’t seem to shake your stare on the boy before you. you narrow your eyes at him.
“you sound jealous.”
peter sputters nonsense out and breaks his eyesight away from you, nervously running his hands through his curls.
“jealous? me? pfft. never. i’m not jealous, i’m- i’m being absolutely reasonable.”
you keep your eyes on him as he looks down at the carpet floor. he sighs and drops down at your chair, scratching the wood on your desk. his head shakes and ever so softly murmurs, “seriously, why are you going out with him?”
peter continues to stare at the rotten wood he’s chipping, “brad asked me to be his date, so i’m going whether you like it or not. unless,” peter glances back up at you.
“there’s something you’re not telling me.”
hope bubbles down in your stomach, and you anticipate his confession, waiting to hear the words of his true feelings that you know for certain are deep down inside him.
except, he doesn’t.
the boy only blankly stares at your desk, clenching his jaw, and drowns everything inside, letting you down yet another time. you turn away, disappointed in peter, ready to leave him alone for all the false hope and hurt he has caused you.
“right, well, when your balls finally drop, let me know. i’ll be at the dance with my date.”

sweet nothing - h.s.
a/n: TOTALLY LOST THE PLOT WHILE WRITING THIS. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BASED OFF OF THE PICTURE BELOW BUT I GOT DISTRACTED. pls listen to sweet nothing by taylor swift for the full experience!!!
🎀 warnings/cw: none, most tooth rotting fluff ever.
🐇 pairing: fem!reader x harry styles
💐 wc: 1.6k
summary: taking care of a very sleepy harry in an ice bath, and in the car.
Tumblr media
“H, the bath is ready, bub.” Harry heard his girlfriend call quietly to him. He was slumped on the couch, this show particularly draining. He was quieter than usual, and instead of being glued to Y/N’s side like he usually was, he let one kiss to her full lips suffice before he decided to rest.
“Mm, thank you, lovie. I’ll… I’ll be there in a second, jus’ don’t have the energy to go there right now.” His limbs were sore, almost every part of his body completely lost of energy, and he found it hard to even entertain the thought of getting up.
“Okay… y’know what, just let me help you, H. The faster we get you into this bath, the faster we can go back to the hotel so you can sleep.” He knew she was right, and because he knew she was right, he allowed her to help (though not really at all since he already had felt bad that she ran the ice bath for him) him get to the bathroom. They walked slowly to the connected bathroom, Harry walking zombie-like in her arms.
“Ready, sweet boy?” She tried to be as quiet as possible, the fact that Harry probably had a headache in the front of her mind. He nodded softly, stripping down to his boxers before letting her help him balance as he stepped into the bath.
A wince immediately left him, Y/N whispering out ‘I’m sorry’s, knowing how shocking the bath was at first. She lowered herself with him, and sat on the floor next to the bucket when he sat down, submersing himself fully.
“Okay bubs, y’know we’ve gotta do this so you don’t fall asleep on me. You ready?” Y/N says, pulling out her phone to pull up the trivia questions she’d pre written for the late night ice bath trivia that had become a tradition for them. Harry hums, and she flips to her notes to start.
“Pick the category, my love. We’ve got pop culture, or the Marvel Cinematic Universe.” She asked, looking up at him, heart breaking a little at the exhausted expression that was obvious on his face.
“Marvel.” He mumbles, sinking himself lower until his neck up was the only part of his body above water.
“Okay… Timer officially starts now. Who played the character Pietro Maximoff, also known as Quicksilver?” Her tone was soft, almost at a whisper.
“Umm… Aaron Taylor Johnson?” Harry questioned, racking his brain to try his hardest to stay awake. His body had now gotten used to the stark cold that he’d slowly started to get used to over the times he’s done this on tour.
“Good job, baby. What was the name of Peter Parker’s love interest in Spider-Man: Homecoming? This one should be easy, it’s one of my favorite movies.” She giggled, a serene sense of peace overcoming her at the domesticity of it all.
“It is easy, she’s called Liz, right? Liz Allan, or something.” His eyes were now closed, feeling the tension in his body slowly disintegrate from the cold of the water.
“Perfect! Though the both of us know that Peter and MJ were the better couple, they were entirely more in love and cuter.” She smiled.
“Oh, really? Like us then, hm?” Harry hummed.
“Yes, H, exactly like us.” A few more questions had passed, and Lloyd had now come to join them in the bathroom, his camera hung around his neck. They’d anticipated him coming anyway, knowing that he would come to snap some behind the scenes pictures. Before they’d even left to go to his dressing room, they’d told Lloyd when to come in so that he could come talk to them.
“Hey guys, sorry for intruding, but I need one of you to pick a few pictures for tonight so I can get them edited by tomorrow.” Lloyd tried to keep his voice quiet too, knowing the kind of atmosphere he was entering before he even came to meet the two in the bathroom.
“Oh yeah, of course, did you want some pictures too?” Harry smiled, a tired but polite look on his face. Harry had built a great relationship with Lloyd over the months that they’ve been on tour, and they’d gotten more comfortable with each other than they’d anticipated.
“Only if you’re comfortable, H.” Lloyd smiled. Y/N and Lloyd talked for a second, scrolling through pictures and picking out a few for him to edit. The time they took allowed Harry to rest in the cold for a little, before pushing himself up and folding over, dipping his head into the ice cold water. He could faintly hear Lloyd’s footsteps move to the front of the tub, along with the flicking of the camera shutter going off as he lifted his head out of the tub, ringing out his hair from the nape of his neck to the front of his scalp.
A couple more flutters from the camera shutters were heard when Harry was rubbing his eyes with the pruny tips of his fingers, and he failed to see the smile on Lloyd’s face.
Lloyd pulled the camera from his eyes, looking at the digital screen that held a preview of the picture. In the corner, slightly blurred because of the harsh focus that was set on Harry in the center, say Y/N with a soft smile playing on her lips, a moony gaze in her eyes. He made a mental note to send it to them later, and to also crop her out in the final edit in an attempt to salvage their private relationship.
“Perfect. I’ll let you two rest now, think I’m gonna head to the hotel now myself. Sleep well, you guys, I’ll send you the pictures in the morning.” Lloyd smiles at them, sharing goodnights before closing the door behind him as he walked out.
Harry’s now damp hair was combed back by his fingers and rested on the top of his head, save for the rogue curl that shriveled in a tiny curl on his forehead. Y/N rested her arms on the side of the tub, a gleam in her eyes as she watched Harry’s relaxed expression. Her timer, however, had different plans for the relaxed couple, and went off with shrill screams, notifying them that it was now time for Harry to leave the bath.
“Alright sweet boy, time to go.” She tapped on her screen to stop the ringing, standing up to grab his black and white striped towel. She met him in the middle, her boyfriend already standing on the towel that laid outside of the tub, water droplets falling from his body in a soft cascade, small shivers shaking his shoulders slightly. Wrapping the towel around his shoulders, she pushes herself up onto her tiptoes to meet the level of his face, pecking soft kisses onto his cold lips. They stayed in that position for a bit, waiting for Harry’s skin to absorb the rest of the small water droplets.
She led him with a soft tug to the main space in the dressing room, taking the outfit she’d gotten ready for him while he was on stage from the makeup chair and placed it onto the couch. Leaning down a bit, she took the towel to let him remove his now soaked briefs, before passing him a pair of boxers, tossing his towel onto the back of the couch. She passed him his clothes as he dressed himself slowly, humming at the words of love and admiration he sleepily spewed out. Once he got his last article of clothing on, she took his hoodie strings into her hands and tugged it down softly, making him lean down a bit to meet her lips.
Their lips connected in a soft caress, his bottom lip wedges in between her two lips, a sweet hum emitting from his throat from the taste of her coconut flavored chapstick, one that was his favorite. Something that could only be described as love seemed to fill the room whenever they had these kinds of moments. Moments that was completely and purely their own.
They broke away from the kiss, and when Harry went to say something, a yawn cut him off, mouth opening wide making him resemble something of a lion, making a giggle fall from her slightly swollen lips. “Let’s get you into a bed, sleepy boy.”
“M’kay.” Harry didn’t put up a fight, wanting to get into bed with her to snuggle more than anything.
They walked through the halls of the venue, pushing through the back door where their driver was already waiting for them, engine started and purring softly. Y/N opens the back car door, stepping in and moving to the side since she knew Harry would follow her. The driver muttered that it would take them about 5 to 10 minutes to get to the hotel before taking off without another word.
Y/N snapped her seatbelt on, a confused twinge on her face when she didn’t see Harry do the same. Instead, he scooted over to the middle seat, laying into her sleepily. “H, you gotta put on your seatbelt.”
“Noooo, s’not even that far, and I jus’ wan’ y’to hold me right now.” He mumbled, slightly muffled from the way he burrowed his face into her neck. She sighed in slight exasperation, saying nothing and just letting him completely collapse and rest into her. He was almost laying completely in her lap, her hand in his hair, a soft smile playing on her lips as she looked out the window and into the city.
She let out a tiny giggle when she felt the slight tickle of stubble on her neck, followed by sweet kisses on the expanse of it. “I love you, love y’so much, it hurts.”
“I love you, H.” She intertwined their fingers together, bringing up his hand to her mouth and pressing featherlight kisses onto his knuckles.
“I love you,” Harry whined, making the smallest of smiles cover her face since knew how clingy and lovey Harry got when he was tired. She tried to relish in these moments as much as possible.
“I love you, sweet boy, the Peter Parker to my Michelle Jones.” A sweet giggle sounded from Harry as he remembered the conversation from earlier.
“Entirely in love and cute. I agree.”

The homecoming trick- Peter Parker
A/n: I took the inspo from a "Never been kissed" scene.
Warnings: Language
Summary: Peter comforts you after you get tricked by the popular guy from school.
Don’t forget to share, like, comment and leave your ideas here
Bellah’s Masterlist 🪻
Running footsteps could be heard from the empty corridor where Y/n was hurrying to find his best friend, Peter Parker. Looking quickly through the small rectangular windows of the classrooms, she finally found the room she was looking for, opening the door without worrying about the people in the class. The girl caused a bang, causing all the students sitting around the chemistry table to withdraw their attention from the teacher and turn to Y/n.
“PETER PARKER. YOU DON'T KNOW WHO ASKED ME TO THE HOMECOMING DANCE!” Y/n almost shouts, causing the brunette to blush as he realizes that the prying eyes have turned their attention to him.
“Miss L/N!” The middle-aged teacher who was teaching the class calls out to the girl, who straightens her posture while biting her lower lip, realizing that she had made a mistake by shouting into the classroom.
“Sorry.” The girl says quietly. “Peter?”
The brunette stands up promptly, removing his transparent goggles and positioning them under the massive stone desk. Parker asks his teacher for silent permission, who only answers him by rolling her eyes and looking down. Leaving the room to find her best friend, the door closes behind the pair and Y/n is able to express her happiness without being judged for her outbursts.
“Who asked you to the dance to make you act like that? Harry Styles?” Peter asks, drawing a laugh from the younger girl.
“You know I've emailed him several times, but he always ignores me.” Y/n replied, crossing her arms. “Cody Taylor” The girl breaks into a huge grin, jumping up and down with joy that almost causes Peter to overbalance and fall against the chain of blue lockers positioned on the walls of the little-trafficked corridors.
“Ah... Cody”
Peter hated Cody Taylor, and he had a reason. It wasn't because he was popular, and therefore extremely popular, but because he didn't have a good feeling about the boy with the light brown eyes and wavy blond hair. Cody had a bad reputation with girls, and some might even say that he just uses girls to “get what he wants”, and then disappears off the map pretending that he never met the person he got involved with. Even so, he attracted rivers of girls who would even give their souls so that he could have a day with this Cody Taylor.
“You don't seem excited.” Y/n tilts his head to the side, frowning as he realizes the frustration in Peter's voice.
“Y/n, I-” Peter tries to say, but is cut off by his best friend.
“I got a letter with his name on it, but I thought it was a bad prank. When I was going out for lunch, he called me over and said he'd had his eye on me for ages, but I'd never noticed him. So he asked me out at the last minute. Isn't that great?” The girl nods as she remembers the previous events with Cody, looking away and thinking back to the boy's voice calling her to the dance.
Peter stays silent, pulling Y/n back to reality.
“I don't like Cody, Y/n. In fact, I've never liked him, and that's nothing new. You know about his fame.” Peter crosses his arms, looking down at his own feet.
“Welllll, but you like me. Then you should be happy.” The girl tries to reverse the boy's thinking.
Let's put the cards on the table
Y/n wasn't the type of girl that Cody Taylor was interested in. Whenever he showed up with a new girl, she was wearing short clothes and big necklines, even though the school didn't allow it. They were sexy women, who could attract a man by their body and their manipulative eyes, while their manner was petty and extremely needy of attention from other men who could fuck her with their eyes. Y/n was part of the book club on Wednesday afternoons; she had a limited group of friends; she always wore colorful socks with characters on them and she didn't like being the center of attention.
For Peter, she was perfect
Y/n didn't let school influence her to be sexier or more mature than she needed to be, and that's what made her stand out among all the girls who once stayed with Cody.
But Peter would never admit that to her.
At least not when he was competing against the most desirable boy of the last year.
“And you accepted?” Peter asks, even though he already knows the answer.
“Of course I did!” Y/n says excitedly.
“Well, then it's a deal.” Peter nods, continuing with his arms crossed.
“What about you? Have you called Liz yet?” The girl puts one of her hands on the teenager's arm, who undoes his posture looking for the right words to lie.
Liz Allen had rejected Peter, and he had no one to go to the dance with except Y/n, who now had an unexpected date. However, it was no surprise that she would reject him, since he had never had a gallant enough track record to get a girl to agree to go to the dance with him. Once again, he was going to sell his ticket and feign a mysterious illness the day before the event.
“She said she already had a date, but if she didn't, she'd go with me.” Peter lies.
It was much nicer to say something like that, than to repeat: “Not even if you made a pig speak my full name and shit out a golden invitation, would I go to the prom with you.”
“I'm sorry, love.” The girl took pity on her best friend, then slowly approached him until she was around him in a loving embrace. “Tell me a color. Any color. I want you to choose what I'm going to wear to the ball. So that you can take part in it even a little bit.” The girl asks, drawing a silly laugh from the brunette.
“Y/n...” Peter tries to say, but is cut off by a hand that flies to his mouth, preventing him from saying anything.
“Just say it.” The girl asks insistently.
“Green. You look beautiful in green. Especially dark green, like that dress you wore to May's brunch last year.” Peter recalls the dress his best friend was wearing for his aunt's birthday.
That day, Peter was sure that Y/n wasn't just a friend. Parker sketched the girl's body with his eyes, making his heart beat faster than usual and his throat go dry as he noticed her toned legs. He had always known that he liked Y/n, but after a lot of research with his friend Google and his friend Buzzfeed quiz, what he felt could have been a lack of affection for the loss of his parents. For weeks he tried to deny his feelings, telling himself that he was lying to himself and that his friendship couldn't be ruined by a desire he didn't even know was mutual.
“Do you remember me from that day?” Y/n shrugs at his friend's comment.
“I do. It was when you started to like wearing dresses more, and you bought this one after I told you it would look perfect on you.” Peter comments, causing the girl to smile without showing her teeth.
“Liz is an idiot not to go with you to the dance, you know that, don't you?” Y/n tries to cheer Peter up, causing the boy to smile sideways as he agrees with the girl in front of him who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and ripped jeans.
“I like to believe so.” Peter looked away from the teacher who was calling to him through the window, asking him to return to class with only a reproachful look for spending too long outside the classroom. “I need to get back to class, but will you wait for me so I can take you home? My lesson finishes at 4pm.”
“Sure. I'll stay in the library.” The girl replies, and then Peter reaches out for the door handle. “Wait!”
“What?” Peter throws his head back, pretending to be annoyed by Y/n's presence.
“I love you, Peter. Cody will never take me away from you, as much as I'd like him to.” Y/n touches the student's strong muscle, making both their hearts race at the subtle but tender contact.
They both blush, and Y/n quickly removes his hand and puts it in the pocket of his jeans.
“I love you too, Y/n.” Peter smiles blushing, silently says goodbye to Y/n and enters the classroom again.
(...)
The pink speaker was positioned on top of Y/n's bedspread, playing “Drunk in Love” at high volume. Y/n was sitting next to the speaker, hunched over so that she could reach the strap of her silver high-heeled shoes, which she would be wearing tonight. The week had passed quickly since the day Cody had asked her to the dance, even after Peter had sent her countless hints that she shouldn't go to the dance with a boy with such a reputation. As much as she knew it, her need for a teenage movie experience was greater than her rationality. Just as Parker tried his best to blur Y/n's mind of the unrealistic and sexual wonders that Cody could offer, she tried to take him to the dance as an extra chaperone.
The sound of a knock on the door was heard, and Y/n stood up promptly, quickly turning down the music. Fixing her loose hair in a curling iron, the girl looks at herself in the dressing table mirror, searching for any lint that might be out of place. Her mother's voice says loudly:
“Ah, Peter! You look great.”
The door closes and she hears heavy footsteps coming towards her room. The brunette opens the door slowly, as if asking before entering, but without words. A part of his face is seen by Y/n, who laughs at the boy's action, saying:
“You can come in, Peter. I'm not without clothes.” The girl says, picking up her cell phone to locate the car in which Cody will pick her up in a few minutes.
As soon as her eyes wandered away from the cell phone screen, her stomach seemed to drop like when she was on a roller coaster. There was Peter, wearing a black tuxedo and a green striped tie to match Y/n's dress, which covered her breasts with a corset decorated with flowers in the same dark shade, while the skirt descended between several layers of silk fabric. The girl gave a slow smile, moving towards the boy who seemed at a loss for words at the sight of Y/n dressed like a princess.
“Yeah, Parker... You don't look half bad.” The girl approached him, placing one of her hands on his tie and stroking the fabric with her fingertips.
“You look great.” Peter smiles, making Y/n look away in a nervous smile. “If I hadn't agreed to go, I would never have seen you like this. Apart from the many photos I know you'll be taking to post on Instagram later,” he comments.
“You look really great, Peter.” Y/n says again in a sweet voice. “I've never seen you like this before.”
“Do you like it? When I become rich, I'll make a point of only wearing a tuxedo to please you.” Peter tries to charm him, only to receive a low chuckle.
The weather seems to be getting hotter than usual, as if something is descending into the air and making it hotter, even though it's not summer to feel such heat. The sound of a loud horn interrupts the gazes fixed on each other, causing the couple to move away quickly and Y/n to run for the front door, while Peter grabs the bag hanging from the chair on the girl's dressing table, then rushes after the girl.
The black car stops in Y/n's driveway, and then Cody Taylor gets out of the car. Peter grimaces as he notices the visible ego of the boy, who didn't seem to care about the brunette's opinion. Cody adjusts his light gray blazer, allowing room for the car door to swing open, hinting that Y/n could say goodbye to get into the vehicle. The blond smiles without showing his teeth, and before Y/n can do anything, the boy stops her from speaking:
“Sorry I'm late. I had to stop by the market to pick up a few things.” Cody says with a satisfied smile.
Two more girls and a man come out of the vehicle. They're all dressed as if they were in a gang looking for a victim to torment. Y/n frowns in doubt, turning his head away when he notices that there are more people than expected. Those girls and that boy were part of the little group that hung out with Cody in the corridors and threw huge parties for the children, whom they thought were enough to sit with him. Peter put his hand on Y/n's shoulder, realizing that something was wrong.
“I thought we were going alone.” Y/n says, causing Cody's girls to laugh quietly.
“We? No, Y/n. There is no we.” Taylor gets into the car again, as the boy in the red tie pulls his cell phone out of his pocket to record, while the girls pull out open egg cartons from behind their hands, which turned out to be used as weapons against the girl in the green dress.
The eggshells broke easily against Peter's chest, who stepped in front of Y/n to protect her from the thrown eggs, but his chest burned when he realized that only he was being soiled by the yellowish yolks. Y/n positioned herself next to Peter, feeling the hard shell break on her chest and her newly rented dress. Thinking it was over, the same boy who had recorded the scene pulled out a packet of wheat flour from behind him, which was thrown at the couple standing in front of the entrance to Y/n's house. As soon as the box was empty, Cody's friends got into the car, the door slamming shut quickly and the sound of screeching tires screeching against the asphalt as they decided to flee their cowardly act.
Peter looked at Y/n, dirty with eggs and wheat flour. Her eyes shone and her mascara ran down in the shape of a black drop. The girl took a deep breath, straightening her hair and removing the small white pieces from her dress.
“You were right.” Y/n mutters quietly, taking a deep breath to stop herself from bursting into embarrassed tears in front of Peter. “Cody is pathetic.” His jaw clenches.
“Y/n...” Peter put one of his hands on Y/n's dirty cheek, pulling her into a warm embrace.
The crying was low, but Peter could hear the sound of her heart breaking into pieces. The boy ran his hand through his best friend's hair, trying to make sure that their bodies made as much contact as possible through a gesture of care. Peter looked at the horizon, still able to see Cody's car driving away. As much as he thought about chasing after it to get revenge, Y/n needed someone right now. The girl's chest heaved as she coughed between loud cries of pain.
“Let's go in.” Peter said into her ear, kissing her forehead afterwards.
“I don't want my mother to see me like this.” She said through heavy tears.
“Let's go around the back then. Up the tree that leads to your bedroom window.” Peter holds her hand gently, trying to guide her somewhere that isn't soiled with the remains of her shame.
(...)
Y/n lay with her head on Peter's outstretched arm, who lay behind her stroking her hair. The brunette replayed the scene several times in his mind, planning future revenge in whatever form, but one thing was certain, Cody Taylor would regret it. Over the younger woman's shoulder, the brunette could see that she was watching several stories of her friends at the party with drinks in their hands. Y/n wasn't going to admit that she felt pathetic for being carried away by her silly desires to go to the dance with a popular guy. On the other hand, she didn't feel sad about the situation itself, but about having embarrassed herself and probably becoming a walking meme when the video was leaked. The smell of shampoo was present in both of their wet hair, but even the clear smell couldn't cover up the egg smell.
“Watching videos of them won't help, darling.” Peter said in a low voice, causing Y/n to snort low.
The light from the television shone against the faces of the teenagers lying on Y/n's bed. Fortunately, Y/n's parents thought they had already gone to the dance and left the house alone a few minutes after Peter and his best friend went up to the girl's room. Everything was dark, but the heavy atmosphere between the two was clear. Y/n put her cell phone face down and tried to focus on the Star Wars episode on television. Peter's tuxedo and Y/n's dress were placed in a large bag in front of Y/n's bed so that they wouldn't forget to take it out to wash during the week. After much insistence, Peter had finally persuaded her to watch the third one in an attempt to distract her with the thousand and one facts he told her about the movie for more than half an hour.
The girl in the cherry-print pyjamas turns to Peter after picking up the remote control and turning off the television. Y/n stares at him with watery eyes, and allows her head to rest in the passage between his shoulder and neck, as if it were a place of safety. Peter hugged her, closing his eyes and thinking of what he could say to cheer up his friend in some way. His head was screaming for him to be able to confess the way he felt, exposing that he would never put her through anything like this if he were hers.
“I feel terrible.” Y/n proclaimed.
“At least we have enough eggs to make an eggnog.” Peter says comically, failing to get a smile out of Y/n.
“I'm not sad. But it's like I've been exposed. My innermost and most genuine feelings have been trampled on and pushed aside as if I'm not human enough to feel anything.” Y/n cringes. “Have you ever felt that?”
Peter denies silently
“It sucks.” Y/n says at last.
Silence
“Too bad you couldn't take a picture in the dress.” Peter says quietly, remembering the many times during the week that his friend had commented on the many beautiful photos she would take when she arrived at the ball.
“I did, but you hadn't arrived yet so we could take one together.” Y/n says, feeling her knees touch his.
Silence
“Cody's just another rich piece of shit who got into school because his dad is friends with the principal and he wants to get into an Ivy on a sports scholarship. He's dumber than a door, so don't think he won't end up falling after all this. It will take time, but it will happen. And it's going to be beautiful.” Peter says as if there's poison in his words.
“I'm dumber than a door. I shouldn't have let my illusion cross the line.” Y/n says, moving a little away from the brunette who was staring at her, deep into her eyes. “You have beautiful eyes. They've always reminded me of those little chocolate balls in cookies.”
“I think that's hunger.” Peter laughs quietly. “Are you okay? I mean, fuck. I'm sorry. Of course, you're not okay.” The brunette in the gray shirt and striped pants closes his eyes tightly, placing one of his hands on his forehead as he says it.
“It's okay, Peter.” Y/n's voice was soft, but faint because of the involuntary tears that ran down her makeup-free skin. “We're still in the first year. Worse things will probably happen.” The girl shrugged, even though her spirit was still sick with shame.
Peter nodded, looking away for a few seconds and carefully picking up the words he was going to say to his weakened friend.
“How well are you coping?”
“You taught me. That day at May's brunch. When my aunt died and I just told you at the end of the day, and you told me that I would never be strong enough to cope with everything in life, so if one day I was about to break down, let me remember that everything can be fixed. My aunt wouldn't come back from the dead, but I know she wouldn't want to see me in a bad way.” Y/n comments. “I know I'm in a bad way, but if I think I'm going to be okay, I'll heal faster. Positive psychology, huh?”
Parker smiles without showing his teeth, silently agreeing. A warm feeling embraces his chest, making the air less heavy than it was. The sound of the wind beating against the window and the leaves of the trees rustling against each other was what made the silence soothing. For a moment, everything felt like a peaceful sea, where the moon was present and commanded the slow waves. They both felt connected to each other, but the commotion wasn't usual, but a line of various emotions that curled into a tangle of desires. Their breaths seemed to be merging slowly, and neither side intended to move away.
“I got jealous.” Y/n confessed quietly. “When you asked Liz to the dance instead of me that week before Cody asked me.”
“What?” Peter makes a confused face, not understanding why she would be jealous of him, sitting back against the pillows of Y/n's bed.
“Last year we went together, and then Liz joined the school. You only talked about her, so I got busy obsessing over someone else too so it would hurt less that I wanted to go out with you, but you were immersed in the Liz Allen world.” The girl sat down next to Peter, allowing their shoulders to touch briefly as they spoke to each other.
“Shut up,” Peter replied, disbelieving what he was hearing. ”Why didn't you tell me this before?”
“Maybe because you spent hours talking about how beautiful her skirt looked on her body, or how you'd sell your collection of Legos to get a sexy compliment from her.” Y/n recalls Peter's words.
“Okay! I exaggerated about the legos, but all that was platonic.” Peter defends himself. “I didn't want to call you because I didn't want to seem weird, especially because...” The dark-haired man tries to say, but loses his words in the middle, noticing that he was about to say something considered his personal secret.
His face reddens, and even if he tried to tell Y/n so that she would forget what he was about to say, she wouldn't. The pyjama-clad girl sat down in front of Peter, crossing her feet and projecting her posture forward in an attempt to listen carefully to what he had to say. Peter nodded, looking at nothing and turning his attention to the girl in front of him, who was staring at him expectantly.
“I like you too, Peter.” Y/n proclaimed before the brunette could say anything.
His eyes sparkle, and his mouth goes dry.
“D-do you?”
“I do. Do you?” Y/n asked fearfully, thinking that perhaps she had misunderstood the teenager's signals.
“I do”
“Why did you talk about Liz then?” Y/n bites her lower lip as she asks.
“Why didn't you ever give me any signs that you liked me back? You always hugged me and kissed me, but I never felt it was anything more than friendship, also because you do it with all your friends. You don't show it when you like someone, apart from when you said it about Cody Shitty. You're an enigma, and that's very attractive. Apart from the fact that you're the person I trust most in the world, even though you have terrible taste in socks.” Peter confesses, playing with his fingers as he says it.
“Peter...” Y/n touches his striped pants-covered leg, sliding his hand up the inside of his thigh.
Parker's chest juts forward, gently grasping the back of Y/n's neck as he moves in for a kiss. Their moist lips complete each other, pulling their bodies together as if they were magnets lost long ago after failing to connect with each other. Y/n's breasts are pressed against Parker's strong chest, at the same moment that the girl climbs onto the boy's lap, releasing the weight of the feeling she was carrying with her to deposit it in synchronous movements with his lap. The brunette placed one of his hands on the girl's waist, guiding her sloppy movements as the kiss continued to escalate.
Their tongues wore each other out, seeming as if they had known each other for ages. The fit was perfect, and the movement of their mouths had the same hot desire for more. Their chests shared the same heart rate because of the excitement. Their movements became faster, and their clothes seemed to jump from their bodies to the floor without even touching them. In the midst of kisses down their necks, the sound of a key banging against the front door was heard, causing the couple to move away in fright.
“My parents are back”
“At least they don't know we're here.” Peter says low with his body paralyzed on top of Y/n.
“Y/n and Peter. Can you come down here please?” Y/n's mother's voice echoes loudly.
“How the fuck does she know we're here?” Peter says in desperation.
“Sixth sense. All mothers have them. You may be Spider-Man, but she knows a lot more than you do.” Y/n gets up quickly, looking for her blouse lying on the floor.
“How do you know I’m...” Peter puts on his rolled-up gray shirt
“Peter. You don't know how to hide secrets.” Y/n laughs, opening the door next to Peter and closing it behind him.

Stephen in spider-man homecoming
(In reference to the WIP game.)
Self-explanatory; Stephen is present in Spider-Man Homecoming!
He kind of shows up in Peter's scene coincidentally, and then of course Peter later rants about it to Happy, who informs Tony, who is so paranoid of magic that of course he tries to find out more about this wizard guy.
From there Stephen sends Tony in a wild goose chase, partially because he finds Tony annoying and partially for the shits and giggles.
Here's a snippet (Stephen recently dealth with Dormammu and he's Not Okay).
Soft footsteps could be heard behind him, signaling that the hero had apparently not left him alone yet. He tensed, able to feel Spider-Man creeping closer to his personal space without needing to see. Just when he thought that Spider-Man might try to touch him again, he instead flinched when the hero sat down next to him at a respectable distance, legs dangling off the roof similarly to his. “Not afraid of heights?” Spider-Man asked. Stephen internally sighed. He hated small talk, and talk in general was the last thing he wanted to do right now, especially with someone who was practically a stranger. “That, too, is none of your business,” Stephen told him blatantly. “Doesn’t your business entail catching thieves and stopping robberies? I think you should go tend to those.” Spider-Man shrugged, completely unperturbed by his clipped tone. “I would if something fishy was going on right now, but everything seems a-okay so I’m on a break.” Then, out of nowhere, the young hero brought out a wrap of tissue paper that emanated an unmistakable scent of fried dough, accentuated by the tinge of cinnamon & sweetness, and extended it towards Stephen. “Want some churros?” Stephen blinked down at the unexpected offering, then looked up at Spider-Man as if the hero was the weird one. “No.” “You sure?” Spider-Man tilted his head slightly. “Cause you look like—” he then raised his hand a little, “—I mean, I don’t mean to be rude! But, erm.. I noticed you don’t look very.. you seem like you might..” Stephen sighed. “Just say what you want to say.” Spider-Man fell silent for a second, then spoke up, “You look like you haven’t been eating well.” Stephen was suddenly hyper aware of just how terrible he must be looking if a random stranger felt the need to point it out. Embarrassment curled in his chest. Right as he was about to make a move to get up, the wrap of tissue was offered to him again, making him pause. “Well, this isn’t much,” Spider-Man said, emphasizing the offered churros, “But if you need help, my— Uh, I know this really nice lady who works at a homeless shelter.” “Are you saying that I look like a homeless person?” Stephen narrowed his eyes, more offended than embarrassed now. “I mean if you wanna know the truth, you look like a D&D cosplayer, but seeing the magic-y stuff you did just then—” he pointed a thumb behind them, where Stephen had arrived, “—maybe it’s not cosplay after all. Anyway, I don’t mean any offense, sir! I just thought maybe I’d help out, y’know?” “You talk a lot.” “So I’ve been told.” Stephen thought he could imagine a smile in the hero’s voice. “So, churros?” Stephen briefly looked down at the offering again, reminded that he had indeed not eaten anything after the morning breakfast, which had been cereals. His body was begging him to take the offering, stomach growling at the delicious scent. He turned back up at Spider-Man. “You’d help a random stranger who almost turned you into burnt soot?” Spider-Man tilted his head a little. “You didn’t, though.” “I could’ve,” Stephen whispered inaudibly, turning his head away. It had been extremely reckless. He had almost incinerated a person just because they had made an innocent gesture of touch on him. He might as well be a threat to humanity with his level of.. reaction. “Yeah, but you didn’t,” Spider-Man said, apparently having heard Stephen’s murmur. He had no idea how. He turned back towards the hero and found him insistently passing the churros now. “Here, take it. I’m sure you’ll feel a bit better after having them. They’re really good!” A little hesitantly, Stephen extended his hand and took the offered tissue wrap from Spider-Man. The hero didn’t say anything, but Stephen could practically feel the happiness he radiated at that moment, with how his legs swung and his body swayed. Stephen opened the tissue, cautious to not let the shaking of his hand make the churros fall off. Carefully, he picked up a churro and took a bite. It tasted heavenly.

My personal interpretation of the hug/opening the door scene in homecoming is that Tony was trying to hug Peter but got worried that it would seem ridiculous that he was showing affection and appreciation because stark men are “made of iron” and “can’t be weak in ways like showing feelings” or some bullshit he’s heard so he made up a quick lie

Propaganda why Bella Swan is insufferable:
Feels like low hanging fruit, but characters that are supposed to be self inserts will always be bland boring bad ideas if you want to make a truly interesting character. Especially self inserts that go along with things like stalking and abuse from their love interests for the sake of continuing the story, because it kinda makes them seem like a mannequin who just there to be passed around like the punching bag in super smash bros, you know what I mean
complete bland character that all the boys somehow fall in love with. just gets pushed around by the plot. she's interesting as cardboard while everyone around her is more interesting.
She spends the entirety of three books looking down on others, being completely braindead, worrying that she's old at age 18 for an entire book, has a horror movie pregnancyand birth, and then becomes the most specialist vampire to ever vampire. And through all that her personality and thought processes that she had page 1 of Twilight she has on the last page of Breaking Dawn.
She has the personality of a rock, but for some reason everyone is obsessed with her.
Propaganda why Tony Stark is insufferable:
She’s a hypocrite who is ready to restrict the freedom of others when they make one mistake, but when he makes a mistake he figures he’s able to handle himself
Super long, sorry lol
Thinking about how in Homecoming when Peter accidentally caused that boat to get split in half because the Vulture’s gun exploded and Tony was acting like as if Peter was completely in the wrong for going there just because he did it without his permission. He was acting like as if Peter was out of line and “disobeyed him”, trying to act like his father. And then I remember how in CACW he’s the one who scouted Peter in the first place just because he saw he might be useful against a personal squabble between him and Captain America despite knowing that he was a kid and he’s just now acknowledging how dangerous it is because Peter “acted on his own”
Completely hijacking Peter’s superhero story and trying to control his every move (Training wheels protocol and baby monitor thing he put in the suit), acting like Peter should’ve known that Tony would send someone in despite the fact that he’d been ignoring him for 2 months since Civil War and not keeping him updated on anything!!
How the hell is peter supposed to know Tony is going to listen to him when he treats him like a kid instead of a superhero when it’s convenient for him? And when Tony loses his temper after Peter says he’s 15 not 14 like “the adult is talking” bitch he could literally flatten you without your suit!!!
I guess in a way he is acting like a father but like the absentee kind. He’s more like a sperm donor father trying to act like he has any rights over Peter’s life smh.
It’s not that reprimanding Peter for the situation is bad, but the way he makes it seem as if Peter is irredeemable as if Tony wasn't a literal weapons dealer lmfao. He could’ve said what was the truth about it without completely invalidating him saying shit like “no thanks to you” after Peter asked if everyone is okay when it’s literally thanks to Peter finding a lead on those guys in the first place that they were even noticed and it’s not like the FBI being there could’ve in no way caused a similar situation.
And then near the end of the movie when he’s getting crushed by the building rubble screaming and crying for someone to help him where the fuck is Tony?? That scene just proved that he never needed Tony’s suit in the first place to be Spider-Man since he had to use 100% his own strength to lift it off of him. I know he would’ve found the motivation even if Tony hadn’t been involved in the first place to give him the suit, take it away from him and have the words “if you’re nothing without the suit you shouldn’t have it“ echo in his head. Why did Tony even take the suit away? Like as if he expects Peter to stop being spoderman without it??? Holy fuck. This is why you don’t make it out of endgame /j /srs.
When Tony took this suit away from Peter he was like “God I sound like my dad“ shouldn’t that be a red flag to him? Wasn’t he literally just saying that he wished his dad was better than he was?? Lmfao
Tony is so annoying. When they first meet he straight up bullies Peter into fighting for his personal bullshit, insults and objectifies Aunt May in front of him, spits into his trashcan and is in general being pushy af. He blackmails Peter when he doesn’t wanna come to Germany with him AND HE DOESNT EVEN EXPLAIN WHY HE WANTS HIM TO COME. Uncomfortable vibes lol.
Tony being the one to tell peter “if Captain America wanted to hurt you he would’ve” when Peter was trying to state his case, yet HE’S also the one who put Peter in harms way when he didn’t even want to go with him???
Telling Peter that he should stick to being a “friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” (stealing his thing once again) when that’s what Peter _was_ doing before Tony took him out of his zone and filled his head with grander things to be apart of….bitch? Die. Ohh waaaait (jkjk) but yeah
There’s the usual “he’s a war criminal who only felt bad about it when he realized his weapons were killing white Americans as well as Arab people” reason, and also he’s just super annoying. You had to be there for the original Avengers shitty dialogue a la “we have a Hulk” that had Tumblr in a vicious chokehold. Also he was supposed to FINALLY go away after destroying all his suits in Iron Man 3 but he just… didn’t! Which is bullshit.
Portrayed as a hero because? He chose to no longer mass produce war weapons and bombs after suffering the consequences. Huge hypocrite. Doesn't care about anyone but himself. Will backstab people if they believe in human rights when it's inconvenient to him. Seen as a hero while he's the personification of privileged people saying they're not privileged
>Makes weapons
>Billionaire
>Made multiple AI Surveillance Robots
>Gaslight a child into fighting a super soldier in a foreign country for him
>His fans are annoying

Hatchetfield fans, PLEASE HELP !! what is it that one Peter Spankoffski is holding in the homecoming scene of NPMD? (more information below the photos)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
@ticklemewiggly and i have been THINKING about it and we simply do not know. we had some theories but they feel improbable (the theories and why we've disregarded them are listed below):
Some kind of medical device/blood sugar test for his low blood sugar. This makes no sense because to test blood sugar, you'd need...blood. You prick your finger with those, and Pete has this in his mouth. There is a nasal spray for quick fixes to low blood sugar, but they're yellow and also it's for your nose. Not mouth. What is this doing in his mouth?
A....vape? The only reason we could think of for him having this is that it's potentially Steph's and he....took a hit? For some reason? The motion he makes as well as the look of it makes this option seem possible, but based on who Pete IS? Not only does him vaping seem less likely, but we don't see him doing it indoors as that's like, inconsiderate in such a tight space like a school dance. AND he pockets it, so if it was Steph's, why wouldn't he return it? Just feels confusing in a lot of ways which makes us think it isn't a vape despite the appearance.
Some kind of tool for Joey's vocal chords? This just feels....weird. Why would he do it onstage? And he uses it too briefly for it to seem like it actually could have helped him? PLUS this is the proshot and Curt Mega made a post about how pretty much everything we see in the proshot is intentional (they spent so long recording and editing it, there's no way they would have left this in unless it had a purpose).
so what is it? because based on appearance alone, a vape seems like the most plausible option; but does it really fit character-wise? or is it something else we're not seeing? please help. thank you.

So like I was just thinking about this cause I was rewatching the winter soldier and you know the activation code words right? Does anyone else like think they are suspiciously si.ilar to some of the smaller things in spiderman no way home? Like hear me out like some of them I can't think of things for but others, yknow
Longing - could be like him wanting things to go back to normal (or wanting Tony back)
Daybreak - it's daybreak when the final battle is over
Seventeen- he seventeen( that was kinda obvious)
Benign - this could reference his desire to help the villains
Homecoming- there is spiderman homecoming but I have other ideas with this too, like this could reference the scene in the apartment, or the other spidermans showing up
One - i think can be a reference to peter at the end, because he is the only one who remembers
Freight car- i was kind thinking back to the times where trains show up quite a few time i guess through spiderman movies (this kind feels like a stretch tho)
I couldn't really grasp anything for "rusted", "furnace" , or "nine" tho so lemme know what yall think or if you can think of anything different. Anyway I know they are random and unintentional but it just kinda struck me ig, idk if anyone else has thought of this

When writing, there’s a difference between a plot twist and a reveal. A plot twist is a revelation that makes the plot go in a different direction than it was headed. A reveal MIGHT be a plot twist, or it might be something that heightens the conflict or tension but still has the story going to go the same direction it was before.
A good plot twist for me happens in the middle of a story. It’s difficult to do a twist at the end and have the story’s trajectory go an entirely different direction and still feel satisfying. If the twist takes place in the middle, there’s still room for that now new plot to play out as a result. It either happens in Act II or it’s the Act II climax, with Act III now having the characters have to adjust for and contend with the change. If you have a plot twist in or as the final climax of the story— meaning there is a genuine change in where the audience could see the plot was going— you better have a VERY good alternate ending, and it needs to have had some foundation or hints or mention somewhere in the rest of the story. You can’t take a hard left turn and have a different ending just for the sake of surprising or shocking your audience and subverting their expectations because you “Don’t want them to see the end coming,”; that’s just lying and it’s not going to feel like a cohesive or satisfying story.
Some good examples of a mid-story plot twist and an ending plot twist are both in Knives Out, the first being when we as the audience see how and why Harlan Thrombey dies and we’re shown the killer from the beginning, but then we find out the real killer in the end with the parlor scene. The movie subverts our expectations of the genre by telling us who the killer is! But we spend the entire time rooting for them because we know the truth and we like them and don’t see how there would possibly be an explanation or way out! But then we’re shown the REAL truth at the end and we’re shown how it happens! It’s a satisfying twist because it’s still within the bounds of believability not just for the world, the genre, and the tone, but for how the characters have been characterized the whole time.
On the other side, a good reveal can happen anywhere, provided it’s done right (which is the caveat for basically any storytelling choice). A good example of this would be Spiderman: Homecoming when Peter shows up at his crush’s house and realizes who her father is, because that suddenly complicates the emotional stakes for the character, now tying the physical main plot to the emotional desires of the B-plot. Now suddenly his alter ego’s conflict is at odds with what he as a person wants for himself. Will he make the choice that makes him happy but is ultimately selfish and will put people at risk because of his neglect, or will he make the selfless, responsible decision despite the fact it will come at a great personal cost?
I think a lot of movie and TV writers have relied on this idea of “spoiler culture” for too long and it’s why we’ve ended up with so many messily told stories that keep throwing out new things or relying on their “twist” endings or surprise character reveals to be what gets people to come see what they’ve made. I want to be able to follow the story’s logical plot all the way through, or I want to see you pull of an effective magic trick at the end by all the puzzle pieces suddenly falling into place and giving me the “Of course!” feeling I’d get from seeing each of the prior clues suddenly make sense.
I get that it’s hard to write those stories, but if you can’t do it well, just tell a straightforward story all the way through and satisfy our expectations with the payoff you’ve been building towards. Pulling the tablecloth out from beneath the dishes and still having them standing in the end is hard to do. I don’t need a magic trick every time, I just need a good story.

I watched one episode of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man
...I'm going to wait until the whole season is out to watch the rest. Because I could NOT get past episode one.
Keep in mind, it's not for the same reasons as something like Velma. Velma was HORRENDOUSLY bad with how it sexualized minors, made light of panic attacks, and generally had no charm whatsoever. Plus, it used its diversity as a shield to hide those problems rather than to just, you know, have a diverse cast to begin with (I am NOT going to miss that show). I had no interest watching it past one episode and I avoided the series altogether because I already figured it had nothing for me. And it's not like that for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (That is SUCH a mouthful of a title...)
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Was that the SHORT version?) is just...dull. And a little annoying. Honestly, it feels a lot like what people who hate Spider-Man: Homecoming THINKS the movie is. Just a series that heightens how much of a frickin' nerd Peter Parker is to the point of annoyance, while putting a lot more emphasis on the greater Marvel Universe than on Peter Parker. Like, why did he get his spider bite during a fight between a symbiote alien and DOCTOR STRANGE of all characters? It feels wrong, and everything that follows doesn't sit right with clunky dialogue and clunkier animation. Speaking of, I GET that they want to tie this series art style to the OG Lee and Ditko run, but using that style for a 3D animation show for this sort of hybrid is just...It doesn't look good. Not always. It does in still images, but in motion it is BAD.
THAT BEING SAID, there are SOME good stuff in here. Stuff that's at least making me WILLING to at least wait until the rest of the series is out instead of watching it week to week, to give it another chance. I like that opening scene where Peter says how much he appreciates Aunt May, I love how Peter threw a brick at the symbiote alien to get its attention off of Nico, I like Nico in general as a character who's basically Peter's lesbian best friend, and I REALLY liked those final few minutes. Ronnie's walk home and Peter catching that robber were moments where I looked at what the series actually WANTS to do and I couldn't help but admire it a little. But not enough to keep watching. Not now. I gave it a chance and I'll give it a SECOND one when the rest comes out. For now, I'm not interested in seeing more at the moment...

NPMD thoughts! (SPOILERS UNDER CUT)
oh my god. the jump in quality from the digital ticket to the actual edited version is INCREDIBLE. fucking LOVED the details of costumes, the set, the lighting, the writing on the panels... everything was fantastic! starkid has come such a long way and it was incredible to see the seats filled for the show in the edited version!!!
spoiler thoughts, would love to hear what other people thought! warning for rambling and a lot of caps and excessive punctuation since i can't control my emo-shuns after watching a starkid show, as always 🤪
i was really hoping for the boy jerri/girl jerri moment AND the coffee shop bloopers from the digital ticket to be in this one, but every performance is unique and i'm glad we got to experience the new hatchet-town cameos!
GERALD AND ZIGS AND MAN IN A HURRY (JEFF CAMEO!!!!!) MY BELOVEDS <3
speaking of, i hope the bonus features include bts from the night where the power went out!
high school is killing me is STUCK IN MY HEAD
dirty girl was so fucking good HD. INCREDIBLE
sadly i really wanted some wider shots, especially when everyone was onstage and particularly during the lords in black scene - though it was AMAZING to see the details up close since from the digital ticket we couldn't really see what was happening.
THE SCREAMING WHEN JON STARTED TALKING AS WIGGLY... ME TOO!!!
fucking ADORE the "show me your hands" theme playing with curt's cop, and the "inevitable" piano playing when paul and emma were in Beanies. THEY'RE SO CUTE but it makes me sad BUT FOREVER AND ALWAYS RIGHT <3
also the nightmare time theme during the interval!!!
one thing i really miss about these new starkid recordings is that we don't get the stage bows :( i would have absolutely loved if they did something akin to TGWDLM in black friday and NPMD, where the credits roll over the footage of the cast bowing and the claps! the bows at the end of a show are always so fun, it's a great moment of catharsis for everyone and seeing the cast smiling and happy is something i missed here. ESPECIALLY WITH THE ENERGY IN THE HOMECOMING DANCE
will can STEP ON ME as Max. he's so meta and plays the part so well! apparently the role was rumoured to possibly be Jeff's but I'm so glad Will was Max. we needed the fresh blood onstage in the hatchetverse!
it's so incredible Bryce was able to perform onstage and that Jae got a cameo! HELL YES TO THE NIGHTMARE TIME GANG <3
really wish bryce and kim had bigger roles in this musical, especially bryce as before the digital ticket came out starkid hyped her up so much on the socials. BUT SHE NAILED HER VOCALS and when everyone started screaming/applauding when she hit That Note!!!!! YES!!!!!!
love how we can make comments on the recording, seeing everyone so hyped about the show and loving the show is so affirming! i hope everyone who worked on the show is feeling the love!
i still don't really understand the barbeque monologues and feel they're a bit out of place, maybe because it's an american school musical thing?? but lauren fucking owned it!
kim screaming after ruth died. GET IT SLAY ME WITH YOUR RANGE MAAM
compared to my first impressions from the digital ticket, this is a huge step up. some songs were a bit hit or miss, but man i was crying at the end about peter and steph. love how, like the other two hatchetverse musicals, the ending note was fucked up! that being said tho i am keen for starkid to move onto another potential parody OR a new IP outside of the hatchetverse. i'm super keen to see what the future holds for the company! it's absolutely on my bucket list to watch a starkid show live now <3

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥bc I know you have plenty of opinions (jk ily)
Send me a “ 🔥 “ for an unpopular opinion.
Under a read more cause i ranted
🔥I've seen this said before but for me, if I'm gonna write with someone consistently, I'm gonna be your friend. I'm not someone who enjoys just having a partner who's an automatic reply machine. I enjoy getting to know people, I like talking about what's going on with my friends/writing partners. making friends with my partners on here is fun. some people over the years are really impersonal and that's honestly too bad. i like feeling comfortable with someone where i can run ideas by them or send them things that make me think of their muse or our dynamic.
🔥i think that the rpc should also keep in mind that this is not a serious thing. this is a fun and sometimes silly hobby and that is okay. crossovers can be wild and fun, and so can au's and verses that are kinda out there. if it brings you and your partner joy and you're having fun exploring some crazy scenario then who cares? don't look down on someone or think you're better than someone else because you don't dabble in that stuff. people are allowed to have fun with this. at the end of the day, this is playing barbies with our fictional characters.
🔥to kinda go back to what i was saying in the first one, i think people should really not be afraid to reach out to people more. i get it, it can be intimidating. and people have had bad interactions with others in the past, i know i definitely have. but i personally enjoy when i'm writing with someone who i know doesn't see me as that peter blog. reach out to your followers and your friends, let them know you care. obviously i'm not saying send a love letter every day but checking in once and a while is nice. this is a social hobby and a collaborative one at that. and if someone is making you feel bad simply for talking to them then...they really aren't worth keeping around.
🔥 okay time to mix it up now and talk about marvel stuff but mcu spider-man is not as bad as people make it out. i know it's popular to dunk on them and make the iRoN bOy JuNiOr claim but, i dunno man. homecoming was great for me. the iron man stuff honestly doesn't bother me that much cause like it or not, iron man is the central character for that era of the mcu. and we had already had two phases of mcu movies by the time peter was introduced, where they didn't even think they'd get the rights to him too. so, for having to shoehorn in peter at the last second? i thought it was fine. also the fact that homecoming has such a different feel to it than the other mcu movies and spider-man movies, for that matter. it doesn't feel like a superhero movie, it feels like a john hughes movie. which is a really cool take on a spider-man movie. it's actually the only mcu spider-man movie i can rewatch and still enjoy. i also think it's a really dumb critique to say that peter is getting saved by iron man in the movie over and over when....that's the point bro. that's peter's arc. at the end of the movie he saves the day, saves the villain, all with his crappy homemade suit, web-shooters, and gadgets. the whole point is that he doesn't need iron man to function, he's capable on his own. whether or not the sequels do as good of a job as that is a different matter, but if i just look at homecoming by itself? solid.
🔥which brings me to my next point, into the spider-verse is the best spider-man movie and that's a fact. there's more passion put into a single scene of that movie than of all the other live action spider-man movies combined. the artwork, the sound design & soundtrack, the coloring, all fantastic and give it such a unique look and feel. it's got so much personality in it too which is just so refreshing. the majority of the mcu movies have zero personality to them. they're shot in such a static way and later on they all have this just ugly, grey color to all of them. there's a few exceptions where some have personality to them like Black Panther, Doctor Strange (which i didn't think was good but i can't deny it had some unique camera work to it), Homecoming, but a lot of them are just very...i dunno...dull? i could honestly just talk about the artwork for ITSV and that'd be enough. also miles in ITSV is a huge improvement on his comic book counterpart. the "what's up danger" scene is my favorite superhero movie scene of all time, and it's not even close. people were quick to write off the movie cause it's a cArToOn but...still the best spider-man movie. or they write it off cause there's not a hot british guy playing peter, i dunno. also the movie is genuinely funny. there's moments that still make me laugh. i can barely watch some mcu movies without cringing from some of the jokes (especially if it's a wh*don one) it's fantastic. also the artwork and sound design? even better in the sequel. though i do like the first movie overall more, the art and sound in the sequel is even better. giving each universe it's own art style and sound is so good.
