FROM LIL OLE ME ?????? honestly im still in a constant phase of trying to figure out what brushes/coloring styles i like but i really appreciate you saying that!! im going to assume this ask was influenced by the last art i posted since it blew up? so im going to mainly talk abt how i did those. but if you have any questions abt a specific piece or smth feel free to send a msg or ask! 💛 first off i use clip paint studio so these r all exclusively free csp brushes. artemus chalk and artemus pencil i use for flat colors or small sharper detailing, and intoxicate pencil set for soft lines and blending (its a set but they're all pretty much the same so it doesn't rlly matter which one you use). however i use these 3 pretty interchangeably tbh so its not a strict guideline for me or anything. but for my last post, its almost exclusively the intoxicate pencil. it's what gives that "fuzzy" effect. i made these if they help visualize it

plus quick coloring tutorial! which is just basically my entire process. i can't clarify anything abt picking colors bc i genuinely don't know and pick whatever itches my brain at that moment in time

Holy cow, we finally made it - and what a grand venture this has been! So many new faces, so many new friends, so many questions and answers! I've learned so much about the people that have come here, even before anyone hops onboard the server!

I'm so thankful for the kindness, grace, curiosity, interest and patience you have all granted me. I have wanted to make this roleplay since I was very much a child too young to be on the internet, and to see that it might actually be something - even significant, at that? - it blows my mind without hesitation.

And just the same, I am thankful for everyone that faced the bravery of coming off anon and talking to me in asks and replies! I'm so glad to have some familiar faces in my feed so early - and I'm sure others have come to recognize and respect you too!

Some were multiple choice, so I gathered those together to put in review:

The arcs question made me & fiancee smile, because it stayed pretty consistent, with the most people having read TPB and the fewest having read ASC. On the contrary, I was not expecting so many people to have been rping in the kitty scene for over 10 years! I was also surprised at how many inexperienced people we got - and how filled out the middle was! I'm entertained by the near perfect split on wanting staff roles, & how few people chose Leader on the rank question.

Most importantly, I want to point out the question regarding being placed on a list for future loners and kittens. 98.4% is roughly 59 people, dude! We're going to have a robust list of people waiting for such openings, so I won't have to worry about inadequate responses just yet - much to my relief!

What should I message you? Open with something like,, "Hi! I'd like to commission you. Here's what I'd like-" and then attach details for your commission. Please include 1. the type of art desired (reference sheet, illustration, doodles, comic, etc) 2. the subject of the commission (reference of your character, description of the scene, any additional references for the pose or accessories) 3. the style of art desired (my style tends to shift, so include what art of mine caught your eye when you thought of commissioning me). Include as MUCH detail as possible, it'll make the process go a lot smoother. Then close with any questions you might have or just,, "Thanks in advance!" or something. NOTE: Ideally character references should be flatly coloured and/or have swatches for colour picking. Also, I switch between the programs Clip Studio Paint & MS Paint, each program affecting the process and style, so the distinction is important to consider. Also important is that more details / drawings / rendering / backgrounds = more time = more expensive. So please be wary!

What should I expect after? I will confirm details of the commission with you and then there'll likely be a small pause for me to set time aside to draw. When I'm ready, I'll message you to send payment through and begin on the commission itself. During the process I will share updates on the commission asking for feedback and alterations will be made until it's done. If I hit my time limit, I'll show you what I've done so far and you can either take the work as it is or give me the extra payment needed and I'll continue working on it until completion.

What art will I receive? The finished exported file and any extra sketches that I made along the way. If I know you personally, I'll happily send you a copy of the .clip file too if you'd like!!

What can I use the art for? If you plan on using my art for anything profit related, please let me know as this might alter how much I'd like to be paid. The general rule is if you make more money using my art than I would producing it, that's shitty as hell. If you have any questions about this then ask. Do NOT use my art for NFTs or anything similar, do NOT use my art in anything A.I related. You can do whatever you'd like with the art personally though- DO feel free to use it to customise your blog, DO feel free to print it off to hang in your room... Who's exempt from paying for an image description? Anyone with visual impairments and anyone who struggles processing visual information are obviously my main concern- But I will write IDs for anyone who's disabled since there tends to be an overlap in community there. I trust that the people commissioning me can make the distinction.

Why do you charge money for image descriptions? I'm autistic so it's especially difficult for me to translate visual information into an ID. I don't think I'm asking for that much considering that IDs can take up to 15 minutes for me to write (or more if it's really difficult, yikes!), VS a neurotypical who'd probably do a better job AND do it faster than me :/ Just saying.

Your commissions are so cheap! I'm currently using a lower pricing to scope out the interest in my work- In future I'd hope to bump up the prices though. Also… The economy.

Why don't you want to be paid per piece? I don't feel getting paid per piece would properly represent the amount of work I put into a given artwork. Even bad art takes time and effort, so I would rather be compensated for my time than be paid per piece.

Would you ever consider starting a store for prints/shirts/etc? At some point, maybe? But atm no. Feel free to make your own stuff using my art though! So long as you don't use my art for profit, you can make your own shirts or print off ur own posters or whatever you want :3

What will the money go towards? I am unemployed and would like to earn some income so I can be financially independent and ideally (eventually) move out. I'm not struggling atm though, so I will also use the money to support other artists. I will also draw for charity, charities which I will list somewhere in this post once I get around to it :3

i still do love/listen to bts, but i’ve also been feeling like i’ve outgrown them a bit and no longer actively read bts fics myself 🥹 but to sometimes come back to my own blog and my homepage to see that other writers are still here and dedicated makes me feel so giddy and happy for them. watching bts grow from their boy in luv era when i first became a fan to the degree they’re at now and even when i stopped actively writing (probably when they started breaking into the US/english lyrics, or covid era) was such a big life landmark for me, and i will always cherish them in my heart for that. i will also always cherish this blog, that kept me actively writing, throughout uni, and actively creating content anonymously, for helping me through some hard times emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Guide to spotting donation scam accounts

I am aware there is multiple guides posted by other accounts but this one is my own based around my posts I’ve made over the months of running this blog. If you already know how to spot scams, then good! Someone else might not.

If you appreciate all the work I did to make this post accurate and easy to understand, feel free to share it and link it to anyone who might need info. If you want to show thanks in another way, I take pocket change by tips. My pinned post also has links to quick access posts that are about scams.

Not all blogs who ask for aid are scammers! Legitimate people do exist it’s just that scammers will take their information and use it as their own in order to get the money for themself. This post is most meant to be a through guide into finding these scam posts more easily at a glance.

So here is a guide to spotting donation scam accounts under a readmore as it is a long post.

Check how old the blog is by seeing if their archive is enabled. You can also guess this by scrolling the blog and seeing if the posts made are entirely random or seem to come from a certain trending tag. Also check the date of the reblogged post by turning on timestamps. Backdated posts are when a user reblogs a post then goes into post editor and tries to make their reblog look older then it actually is. A common mistake is the new date is even older then the post itself was made meaning the user has went and backdated the post to make their account look older than it is. If the archive is disabled, you may only find ~20 posts shared within seconds of the others.

If they sent you an ask to share their post, did it request you to answer privately? People who are requesting aid are generally wanting a public audience to share their post and would not generally tell someone to answer their ask privately unless their up to something suspicious. If your ask says to answer privately, try using tumblr search to see if it was sent to multiple users. An example of an ask is below.

These asks are known as scam asks, though most commonly sent by blogs that are using content stolen from a legitimate fundraiser for a pet that is needing veterinary care. They are sent to multiple users who have shared a popular or trending post and is sent regardless of it the user would share the post or not. As it stands so far, most accounts who send these asks are scams.

Another type of donation scam is when a user will save the medical photographs of someone’s fundraiser and repost them to say it’s theirs. These can be graphic hospital images stolen off Instagram/Facebook and used in a fabricated story claiming it’s the users grandparent or child of who needs help. Most often, though, there is multiple images used that may not match up with the story itself. Scammers may even fake a funeral fundraiser using a similar method of stolen content.

Above all, donation accounts also will steal Instagram photographs to impersonate people and give them made up names. There are cases where scammers have made fraudulent GoFundMe’s with stolen images and made up stories about sensitive topics in order to get money. It’s important to pay attention and see if the suspected scam account is answering questions about their situation or if their asks and messages are turned off. This is usually a sign they may not be legitimate and are avoiding any questions about their legitimacy.

You may also want to pay attention to the support links given that lead to methods of sending cast. If the local currency isn’t matching up with the given information, it may be sign of a scammer. The most common example is someone asking for $USD but the local currency would be something else and they don’t supply a currency conversion anywhere in their post or explain why it doesn’t match. However, this is just a common scam tactic.

In closing, there are other minor ways to spot donation scam accounts. Such as searching their username up in tumblr search or just asking them to send you more information that relates to their situation. Above all, one of the best things you can do is examine the askers blog closely and see if there’s anything suspicious and do your own research before asking around.

And remember, always report confirmed scam accounts for phishing like so:

Report -> Something else -> Illegal uses or Content -> Phishing

Basically they seem to be suggesting that if not for pressure from her bosses, she would have favored the soy sauce industry over the MSG industry, because unlike them, she understood its cultural importance.

"The original proposed allocation ratio of 2 to 8, with absolute dominance of the amino acid industry, was finally approved by GHQ with the advent of the [sc2] method and the '7 to 3 Agreement' of the 'Shoda-Ouchi Conference'" is a bit of a mess that ends up saying the opposite of what it means to say. Literally (though this is clunky as hell), this is something like "Regarding the original proposed allocation ratio of 2 to 8 with absolute dominance of the amino acid industry, the GHQ finally approved the 7 to 3 agreement of the Shoda-Ouchi Conference due to/based on the emergence of the sc2 method."(This is one of those "は is a topic marker, not a subject marker" issues.)

The quote from the Journal of the Brewing Society of Japan is missing a bit off the end--the last sentence should read "一旦，消費者に定着した混合しょうゆのニーズにより本醗造しょうゆに切り換えることが出来ず，現在も混合しょうゆが主力商品となっているのではないかと考えている 。" This bit is also a lot more equivocal than DeepL makes it out to be: "Even now, it's possible mixed/kongo soy sauce might be the top [soy sauce] product." (Japanese does tend to be more equivocal than English, but since the article doesn't back up that statement with a citation or statistic or anything, I think it really is speculation and not a definitive statement of fact.)

I think those are the only particularly significant corrections I have, but here's some nitpicking of errors that don't seriously impede comprehension, because I'm that kind of person:

In "The internal paint that was being researched..." the word translated as paint, "塗料," can refer to any kind of coating (see this dictionary definition) and I would just say "coating" here--the article doesn't specify, but it seems to me that in this context it's more likely to be some kind of protective coating than paint.

"ヤマサ印", here translated as "Yamasa mark," is more properly "Yamasa brand" in English (as in, this was a manufacturing site for Yamasa brand soy sauce).

In "GHQ assigned Ms. Blanche Appleton..." "Ms." should be "Mrs."--which doesn't really matter, but it's fascinating to me that DeepL gets it wrong here when "Mrs." is written out phonetically (so it's not even guessing at interpretations of さん or anything) and it does correctly translate/transliterate it elsewhere.

"which defatted soybeans could be used more effectively" should be "which [industry] would use the defatted soybeans more effectively."

"Once mixed soy sauce has taken root among consumers, they are unable to switch over to hon-fermented soy sauce due to the demand for mixed soy sauce" has done something really weird with the first clause, splitting it into two semi-redundant parts on either side of the "unable to switch over" bit--it should just be "Once a demand for mixed soy sauce has taken root among consumers, they are unable to switch over to honjozo soy sauce, and even today..."
