@lettherebemonsters continued from here if you want.
It was a natural feeling for Tommy to worry, especially when it came to someone else. Michael was never an exception to that - whether it was worrying that he would return or worrying he wouldn’t return, as he was just doing a few minutes ago. And he knew it was silly, someone as destructive as Michael was more than able to handle himself. And even if he couldn’t, the curse he was plagued with would refuse to let him die until it saw fit -  which, just the thought of that was enough to make him concerned for the figure currently towering over him.
But it didn’t matter that he was a giant - that he was known to take out entire police stations in minutes. None of those statistics - statistics that Tommy knew too well - mattered. Because at that point, Michael was family. He would worry about him just as much as he’d worry about Steven or Michaela. And though he tried not to make it too obvious to the other, the anxiety he felt was practically embedded into his features. The fact that he was still awake at three in the morning waiting was a bit of a telling sign as well.
The hand in his hair was rough, coated in blood - and he wasn’t sure if it was Michael’s or someone else’s or both. Still, he found himself shutting his eyes for a brief moment and relaxing under his attempt at reassurance. He was okay, whatever trouble got himself into, he got himself out of just as easily. It both impressed and terrified him how he managed it. But in that moment, seeing the condition he was in, he felt sympathy more than he did fear.

“Sorry, I know, it’s just.. - a habit.” A shrug rolled off his shoulders before a hand reached for his arm. “Even if it doesn’t hurt, we should get to fixing you up. Don’t want to freak them out when they get up. Plus, you’ll be more comfortable.”

The party was your typical house party. Loud music, everyone grinding and dancing on each other, a red cup in everyone’s hand, and just a general feeling of chaos. Ellie didn’t like any part of it. She felt out of her comfort zone, the usual feeling of confidence she had around Billy was being snuffed out by the loud atmosphere of the party.
After checking in with you to make sure you were okay and getting you a drink, Billy was pulled away to the backyard. Ellie managed to find a few girls she knew from her classes and glanced out into the yard as she approached them. Kegs. She rolled her eyes slightly, pausing as she watched Tommy and one of his other friends help Billy up to a keg stand. She turned away, greeting the girls and keeping her back to the glass doors that went to the yard. Not trashed, my ass. She should’ve known better. She knew this would happen. So why did she go anyway? Did she not trust him? Did she not know what could happen if she let him go alone? No. No way she would admit that. Although she couldn’t shake the lingering feeling of what might have happened if she hadn’t come tonight…
She glanced over her shoulder a few minutes later, hearing the yells and cheers increased as Billy was back on his feet. She could hear his yell and saw the reflection of the beer dripping down his chin and bare chest as Tommy handed him a cigarette. Her eyes lingered for a second on the sweat and beer that shone on his skin as if she needed more of a reason to stare at the defined muscles of his stomach.
She gave a forced smile when one of the girls, Beth, asked her who she came here with since Ellie had yet to come to one of Tommy’s parties. Ellie made the excuse of it being Halloween and wanting to do something fun before redirecting the topic to Beth about her boyfriend. In the background, she could hear the cheers of Billy’s name only making her feel even tenser.
“Oh my god. Is Billy Hargrove walking over here?” One of the other girls whispered, tapping Beth’s arm.
Ellie turned to see Billy walking towards them, a cigarette between his lips as he approached with Tommy and one of the other guys who was standing around the keg.
She inhaled before putting on another fake smile, ignoring Billy’s gaze on her.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of being graced by your presence, Hagan.”
He scoffed, placing a hand on Billy’s shoulder.
“Got ourselves a new keg king.”
Ellie almost had to gag at the girls fawning over the attention they were getting from the boys and leaned up against the wall, taking a drink of her rum and coke.
“Didn’t know you knew how to have fun, Williams.”
Ellie glanced up at Tommy, raising a brow. She waited for a beat to answer, anticipating Billy making some comment to tell him to cut it out. It never came.
“Decided to lower my standards for a night.” She shrugged as Tommy scoffed, pulling Billy away with him and his friend.
Ellie just stared as Billy glanced back at her briefly before following them.
After spending some time talking with the group of girls, Ellie made her way into the kitchen in search of another drink. She thought she owed herself at least once more before she found a way to safely get herself home. She had no idea where Billy was at the moment and she wasn’t about to admit that he was one of the triggers causing her to search for another beverage. She had just spotted the half empty bottle of rum and was beginning to pour some into her cup when a pair of leather clad arms wrapped around her middle. She could smell his cologne even before she heard his voice, lips brushing the shell of her ear.
“I was looking for you.”
Ellie didn’t respond, screwing the lid back on the bottle before pouring some coke into her cup. Judging by how long he had been gone, she knew he was up to no good and the worst possible thoughts came to mind. Thoughts involving cheap, floral scented perfume and bright lipstick stains down his chest. She felt the annoyance begin to bubble up in her, but remained silent.
“Wanna get out of here?” He mumbled against her ear, starting to place sloppy kisses down the side of her neck. She could smell the alcohol on his breath.
“Didn’t you already have your fun tonight? Why leave with me?” She half-heartedly brushed his arms away from her, turning around to face him and lean back against the edge of the kitchen counter.
He was drunk, but he wasn’t so drunk that he didn’t miss the bite in her tone or her words. He raised a brow, a confused expression shown on his face.
“Why are you being like this? I’ve just been hanging out with some of the guys, that’s it.”
“Oh, so you mean you haven’t been checking out the other girls at this party and encouraging them to fawn over you all night? I’ve seen the looks.”
Insecurity was not a good look for her. And she knew it. But right now she didn’t really care.
He let out a short laugh and Ellie felt herself become more annoyed with him by the minute.
“What’s wrong with you? I’ve barely seen you tonight and-”
“That’s the point, Billy! You asked me to come to this party with you and after you got me a drink, I haven’t seen you for the past few hours!”
“Few hours? We haven’t even been here that long!”
Ellie frustratedly gestured over to the clock on the wall of the kitchen. They’d been at the part for two and a half hours now and that was more than enough for her.
He sighed, running a hand over his face and looked back at her, her eyes having narrowed.
“Jesus, you’re acting like I had to spend every second with you!”
Ellie was taken aback, she’d never had Billy raise his voice around her before and she knew it wasn’t just the alcohol talking.
“Whatever. Go fuck whatever other girl is desperate for your attention. I’m going home.”
She downed half of her drink, tossing the cup in the trash before beginning to exit the kitchen.
Billy grinned sarcastically, “What? You think I fucked some chick while I wasn’t with you?”
“Did you?!”
“No!”
Ellie exhaled, rubbing her eyes and glancing behind her, the party still very much alive.
“I’m drained, I can’t do this tonight. I’m going to get myself home, unless you want to go with me.”
Billy didn’t respond, glancing between her and back to the party over her shoulder. She rolled her eyes slightly, turning around and heading towards the front door. She knew he wouldn’t follow her, he’d made his decision. The decision that the Ellie from two weeks ago would’ve expected. So why was she so hurt now?
