In Buddhism, which Hantengu likely followed during his life (in fact I'd say it's very certain), 14 beads is associated with Guanyin, who is looked to for compassion and mercy- which Hantengu constantly begs for.

Yellow/Gold of course is used to represent joy and happiness.

Hey did you guys know these characters canonically use they/them pronouns?

QUICK DISCLAIMER: Please do not harrass anyone who gets these pronouns wrong. At the end of the day, these are fictional characters. The purpose of this post is not to stir discourse or invalidate any headcanons, it is just something i'm "normal" about so im gonna talk about it!! If you didn't know, thats totally okay!! now you do!! ALSO also remember to factcheck these! I absolutely could be wrong or have missed something!! Im pretty sure i got them all correct tho lol

Napstablook (Undertale)

Napstablook is a very underrated character in the undertale fandom/community, so not a lot of people really noticed this one. But napstablook, like the player/frisk, is referred to with they/them pronouns.

Another fun fact: Monster Kid from undertale (and also the version of them in Deltarune) also used they/them pronouns in game! pretty cool :)

Seam (Deltarune)

Actually, in the game, no pronouns are used for Seam. Seam may actually prefer no pronouns at all!

I unfortunately couldn't find a screenshot nor do I know what pearl its from, but in pearl dialouge, Moon refers to SRS with they/them pronouns.

Fun fact about all the slugcats: They are genderless too! Ok, well, for the most part. I believe the Artificer is the only canon slugcat to use she/her. Iterators use 'it' or 'they' to refer to slugcats. In the official (but not canon) dating sim at the end of the joke campaign in downpour, the slucats are referred to with gendered pronouns. Whether these genders are canon or not, idk.

Slugcats are cool creatures. So are cephalopods. Like...

Acht (Splatoon 3: Side order)

This is the only one on my list who is misgendered as female. All the others are misgendered as male usually.

Fun fact: Before Splatoon 3: Side order, Acht was actually referred to with she/her pronouns in promotional material as Dedf1sh. However, nowhere in Side Order does anyone refer to acht with pronouns other than they/them. Do with that what you will but PLEASE don't harrass anyone.
