Villain: Fear Dancer

 Be careful if you meet Maeve, the Fear Dancer in a dark alley. Her eyes will bore right into you and make their way to your soul. She can see your darkest of dark fears and she’ll take them out and set them before you and make you look at them. She’ll want you to dance. It will seem awkward at first but you should do it anyway. ‘Dance with your fears, dance with your fears,’ she’ll say. And you will because you don’t want to know what comes next. You are alone in a dark alley after all with some crazy woman who looks as if she was born from fire or wind or probably both. She’ll ferret you off somewhere remote next and make you live with yourself – and only yourself – for days. Maybe you’ll be reborn. Maybe you’ll escape and you won’t have to keep staring your own self in the eyes. Maybe she’ll take pity on you. Maybe. In the end, when its over and she’s stopped with the fear dancing and the needle pricking of your insides, you’ll decide that it all wasn’t so bad after all, that you are lighter and more free. Your legs will be shaky as you leave and you’ll discover you are at the top of some mountain but you won’t be afraid. You’ll walk to the edge, look over into the abyss of the rest of your life, and jump.
