Why are ppl so cranky about the rocky program? I thought it was fun! Ice dance should be more fun imo.
the rocky program is a silly goofy time but not in a good way some of the choreo is just baffling to me like the boxing miming/random air punching the rope skipping the push ups??? i have so many questions all that plus the fact that fg dont skate well just compare their oft and stsq with gf those two teams are miles apart (im not even the biggest gf fan bcs their style isnt really for me but technically they always deliver) its super frustrating to see fg get reward for basically nothing if they were scored correctly it would just be a bad program but i wouldnt have a reason complain but unfortunately they get scored the way they do and it sucks
to be fair to fg since the start of this season they have changed the program for the better the way it was originally it was downright unwatchable
also for me 'fun programs' are not the problem at all like im obsessed with piriharas chicago program its but the rocky program doesnt hit right for me (it doesnt help that i dont like the music cut and get annoyed about it the second the program starts)

Well, this Euros really was all about the bronze medallists, wasn't it? Juulia/Matthias, two of my favourites anyway, I'm still in disbelief, that was incredible. Think I held my breath for over four minutes there and breathed out during that last picture of a lift. So beautiful. And then the Italians, whom I have so much love and admiration for and they finally made it to their rightful gold medal! Sorry Lilah/Lewis, I barely saw you there in the middle today, too emotionally hungover from what came before and too nervous for what was to come I guess. I'll have to rewatch.
Icing on the cake: Charlene being too emotional to even speak, singing her heart out during the anthem and then her and Marco trying to make their lack of height difference work on that last photo opp. Someone gif me this please <3

2022 Brittania Cup entry #2
Junior free dance
Slatter/Perez(GBR)
Thoughts: the ending had this wonderful dramatic feel to it but I didn’t like the all black outfits.
Senior free dance
Fear/Gibson(GBR)
Thoughts: I almost didn’t watch this because it was shaking a little. But the quality got better. That first lift was spectacular. And I also liked the sliding lift at the end.
Lagouge/Caffa(FRA)
Thoughts: that opening lift was a beauty. Natcha, I loved her cutouts and the fact that a couple strands of hair had escaped from her bun. Arnaud, I loved the one armed look. He rocked it so well.
Hancock/Fourati(HUN)
Thoughts: Lucy’s dress was spectacular but I didn’t like the color they choose for her tights.

I don't follow Ice dance much (only a couple of teams) and I love Fear/Gibson but I didn't vibe much with their SP this season? Idk, the choreo seems disconnected from the music. Put literally any other pop song on top of it and you'll get the same result (or a better one)

i know that scoring at domestic comps doesnt translate to international comps but fg scoring 92 pts in the rd and 136 in the fd leaves me with so many questions

Lilah Fear and Lewis Gibson's free dance costumes at the 2024 Europeans, 2023 Nebelhorn Trophy and 2023 Nepela Memorial. They skated to music from Rocky, Rocky III and Rocky the Musical.
They had matching warm-up jackets too, seen here at the 2023 NHK Trophy:

this line has always baffled me genuinely what is she talking about. what book
edit: anon helped me with this one, apparently this an idiom...! oops lol. see, i have heard things like "you could write a book on x, you know so much about it...!" but never "you wrote a book on x," like, in the past tense, like you actually wrote it. perhaps this is common and i just don't know about it, but either way, i'm happy my question is finally answered...
i'm afraid i do look a little silly now... but that's alright
NOOOOO GUYS STOP LIKING THIS POST ITS EMBARASSSINGGGGG (not genuine go ahead I find it funny)
