We’re got our hand on an official source (aka the description of the reprint of the Prom Queen book) that says Fear Street Prom Queen is coming out Fall of 2025. I’m annoyed that it’s going to take so long for it to come out, but I guess that will give the movie time to be more polished.

Funny that they make a completely new description but still have the typo from the original one. Fear Street has never had the best editors.

Happy 35th anniversary Fear Street.

35 years ago in 1989 R.L. Stine graced the world with the terrifying town of Shadyside, Ohio.

The series ran for a decade straight (and got revived a few times) and gave us many chills and thrills over the course of its 158 books.

And as the series progressed, the story behind Shadyside and how it came to be grew and developed.

Even after all that time, Fear Street still managed to evolve its story and bring new ideas to the table.

While Fear Street is far from a perfect series, it hold a special place in my heart and I will always love the ideas and characters from these books.

And for now, I look towards the future to see what Fear Street has in store for us next.

Just saw the first look at the fear street spin off and I am not feeling it at all to be honest. Give me back Deena and Sam!!

The Prom Queen was an exceptionally fun and bloody romp through Shadyside. It pulled off having a large cast of characters much better than many of its Fear Street predecessors, at least so far as the five prom queen candidates went. I can’t say the same for the boy characters; they all kinda blended together aside from being suspects. There are also some great examples in this book of how you don’t have to be a killer to be a total fucking creep. It was kinda funny how the students and parents were all anxious about the recent murders in Shadyside, as though murders don’t happen there all the time. It was also pretty ridiculous that the school would put on a play and do the prom on the same weekend. I mean, Shadyside is hardly a normal town, but maybe this was a tradition in some high schools. I can’t say for sure. It sounds like a logistical nightmare to me. In fact, I would say my biggest issues with the book were the baffling decisions made by the minor adult characters. I was pleasantly surprised by the twist at the end. That alone elevates this book for me. The plot may have followed a familiar Fear Street formula, but I felt like The Prom Queen was one of the best-executed books to use it.
