Father: Tadhg Oisín Lynch

Born on March 5, 1874, Tadhg was the second son of Bain and Clodagh Lynch. He had an older twin brother, Cillian. Tadhg had a rather unhappy childhood. His mother died during childbirth and his father was a cruel man who spent most of his time ignoring his sons or pitting them against each other. Bain even kept his sons away from Hogwarts and Tadhg only began attending in his third year, after Bain had died. 

Tadhg was sorted into Gryffindor upon starting Hogwarts in 1887. His Hogwarts years were generally quite uneventful, although he did cause a lot of trouble alongside his friends. He also was known to fight with his twin quite often. But, Tadhg still managed to scrape by quite well and gain a lot of friends.

After graduating, Tadhg began working as a cursebreaker. However, the most impactful moment was a chaotic duel with his family that resulted in Tadhg nearly dying and becoming deaf in his right ear. After that, Tadhg continued with his work and met Niamh in 1901. They became friends quickly and that eventually turned into a romance where Tadhg married Niamh in a small ceremony on December 24, 1904. They would have three children together, Aisling Maeve on April 22, 1907 and twins, Saoirse Adelia and Oscar Theodore on October 10, 1912.

Aisling has a good relationship with her father. He’s always been supportive of her dreams and ambitions and she knows that she can count on him. Aisling loves her father a lot, even if she’s not going to tell him everything that is going on her life.

Born on February 9, 1875, Niamh was the second and only surviving child of Donal and Maeve Kelly. She had an older brother, Ronan, but he passed away a few months before Niamh was born. Niamh had a good childhood, as the apple of her parents’ eyes. She learned how to do tasks that were traditionally given to women, but also how to do tasks that were traditionally considered to belong to the realm of men. 

Niamh was sorted into Ravenclaw upon starting at Hogwarts in 1886. Her Hogwarts years were rather uneventful and she was content with that. She made friends, although very few remained forever friends. She became a prefect in her fifth year, beginning her journey to finding her place in fields that were male-dominated.  

After graduating from Hogwarts, Niamh enrolled in auror training and quickly rose to the top of her class. However, she did not do any field work until 1901, doing desk work instead as no one was interested in a female partner. She did gain a partner and that led her to meeting the love of her life, Tadhg Lynch, who she first met when she caught him with his stockinged feet on her desk. A friendship formed quickly, although their romance moved slowly. It ultimately came to head when Niamh approached Tadhg and asked if he was ever going to ask her to dinner. He did the next day and that was the start. She married Tadhg in a small ceremony on the morning of  December 24, 1904. They had three children together: Aisling Maeve on April 22, 1907, and the twins, Saoirse Adelia and Oscar Theodore on October 10, 1912. 

Aisling has a good relationship with her mother. She was the one who encouraged Aisling to find her passion in life and who played a large part in Aisling being able to travel and see the world when she was twenty-one. Aisling loves her mother dearly and is more likely to tell her mother what is going on in her life.

However, they’ve always had a good relationship, although it can become strained at some points. Aisling Maeve Lynch was born on April 22, 1907 as the eldest child of Tadhg and Niamh Lynch, approximately five years after their wedding. She was an only child for five years, as her younger twin siblings, Saoirse and Oisín, were born on October 10, 1912. In addition, she had an older cousin, Conor, who moved in with her family when she was six. He was thirteen.

Aisling had a good childhood. Her parents were kind and fair and supportive. Her father traveled a bit for his work as a cursebreaker, but he always brought something small back with him for Aisling and her siblings. Her mother didn’t travel much, but had a rather dangerous job as an auror. That didn’t affect too much of her childhood, though. In addition, Aisling had a wide network of non-biological families, with her father’s closest friends and one or two of her mother’s friends as well. Altogether, Aisling’s childhood was quite perfect and rather idyllic. 

Hogwarts Years:

Upon starting Hogwarts in 1918, Aisling was sorted into Hufflepuff, making her the second Lynch to join the badgers as her cousin, Conor, had also been a Hufflepuff. Her time at Hogwarts was rather uneventful. Aisling made some good friends, especially connecting with the children of her parents’ friends. In addition, she was made a prefect in her fifth year and was awarded the position of head girl in her seventh year. 

Adulthood:

At the age of 21, Aisling began fulfilling a lifelong dream to see the world. Her wanderlust had been nurtured by the knickknacks that her father had brought back, reading, and just a desire to see the world in general. For five years, she would travel and see things, always coming back home for the Christmas holidays. 

While traveling, Aisling began to run into Jojo Sapieha, a family friend who was working as a cursebreaker. For nearly a year, the two continually found themselves in the same city and they began to reconnect, revealing all sorts of things that they hadn’t expected to say. Aisling soon found herself falling for Jojo and panicked the first time that she realized it. Eventually, Aisling married Jojo, a fact that made their fathers laugh and smile. 

Old Age:

Aisling retired at the age of 92, spending the remainder of her old age surrounded by her family. Her parents had both passed away by that time, but her siblings and other family were still living. She even managed to continue spending time doing a bit of traveling, mostly around Europe. 

Death: 

Aisling passed away at the age of 121. She lived a long and fulfilled life, and left family behind.

About Jojo: The eldest child and the only son of Gabriel and Roxie. While taking after his mother in looks and a rebellious attitude and love for trouble after his father, Jojo considers himself a proper mix of both.

As a child he was already curious, always finding new ways of causing mischief, usually with his friend Samuel Devlin. Upon arriving at Hogwarts he was sorted into Gryffinor, when the two continued on their antics. After his younger sisters joined him at school they kept teasing each other about their house placement, but when it came to it Jojo was always ready to defend them whenever anyone tried to actually made fun of his siblings for anything.

Beautiful, sensual and intelligent, Catalina was a bright Ravenclaw witch with a quick wit and a tendency to make men and women in love with her. Of Swedish descendance, she grew up within the Sacred Twenty-Eight, though her affair with King Edward VII was infamous, especially when Albert and his sister were born of it. She re-met schoolmate Carmine Elderberry, who had been widowed and the two of them lived together. Catalina was obvlivious to their love until she had children of her own.

The infamous king, known as ‘The Caressed’, died when Albert was two years old, so he only remembers what is told of him, and is a bit embarrassed to be his son and never tried to make an appeal for a better life, having his own pride. Albert and Ètienne, though him being older, met in the society gatherings, for his family was an important one in the health business. Both of them had a similar sense of humour and lifestyles and quicky connected. Albert was also the reason he and Catalina married, though he scolded him for getting her pregnant at 18, and was the one to tell him to do the right thing and marry her. And so, he did, and all was well, loving his nieces and nephew very much

Albert was well aware of the fame of Ruth’s mother, Agata, thanks to the tell-all of the famous Ezra Greenaway, and it was Ètienne who thought it’d be interesting to introduce him to the daughter, Ruth. The two of them clicked and saw each other frequently, sparks clearly being there. When he fell ill, he whispered Ruth’s name numerous times, and Catalina urged her to his possible death-bed. After that, he realised he was in love with her. Unfortunately, he was not good at speeches, so he recurred to poems and flowers which language he always found fascinating.

When he was young, he liked to play in the gardens and find out which ones were edible. One day, he cut himself with the roses and cried all day. His mother, Sara, found him and taught him the meaning and messages of the flowers, and he fell in love with it 

He always sent Ruth poems with flowers, each of them with a message he wanted to express 

He also made flower crowns to Catalina and Carmine, expressing his love for them 

When he was small, he suffered from a stutter and wasn’t cured until he was twenty-two. He still stutters a bit because of Ruth lol

BACKGROUND

Born into a wizarding family, Auguste grew up surrounded by magic. He used to be a bright and curious kid who always had a question. His cheeky and playful nature was adored by everyone, however it did not last long. When he was nine years old, he witnessed his mother committing suicide. The woman kissed her son one last time and expressed how much burden she had to face and he could never understand her feelings. Auguste tought it had to do something with social pressure or ranks. But in reality, his mother was just simply mentally ill and she never got the help she needed. With the memories he had of his mother, he was determined to find answers. Is it possible to bring his mother back? Is there any magical cure for mental illnesses? The only 10 years old boy burried himself in books and started to read. During his school years in Beauxbatons he had only a few friends, mostly the outcasts. He did not mind it though! After his graduation from the wizarding school, he continued studying to become a healer. In his free time he travelled and collected books about ancient magic and dark arts. Little did he know that he was seeking for something that did not exist...

Story:

The rest of the Brynn family never accepted the fact that Adam was a squib and he was mistreated all through his childhood. Not even his own mother Lecia could ever look at her son without pain. Adam waited his whole childhood to get away from his family and the more they hated him the more angrier he got.

After leaving his family house he started to plot against the wizard kind and being a charismatic man he soon had a big group of muggles and squibs who knew of the existence of wizards on his side for the fight against them. They were justifiably angry but Adam and the rest of the movement soon begun using questionable methods in their quest for justice and revenge.

His radical movement caused terror to the wizard folk during the 1920's. His big dream was to take down the wizarding government and then expose the wizarding kind to the muggles but he never achieved his goal.

Lecia wanted Adam to make it well in life and tried to help him best she could but yet they always had a tense relationship and Adam’s childhood left him disapproving magical beings all together and starting a rebellion against them.

About Emmeline: The older twin and the oldest daughter, Emmeline, subconsciously became sort of a second mother figure to her siblings, especially after Mattie and Sebastian were born. Other than with her twin, she has the closest relationship with Samuel, but unlike him, she doesn't feel the need to rebel against their parents.

When she started her education at Hogwarts, she was sorted in Ravenclaw, and from the very first days, she felt right at home there. It probably helped a lot that her twin sister landed in the same house. Despite them sharing looks and the same dormitory even, Emmeline never felt as if she didn't have her own identity. Her and Lucy were similar in a lot of ways, but at the end of the day, they were different people, and fortunately, the people around them seemed to understand that.

Given her caring nature and lots of compassion towards people, it seemed right for her to pursue a career as a healer. She chose her surrogate uncle, Gabriel Sapieha, as her mentor when she started working at St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, even though she ended up working on a different floor, leaning more towards dealing with psychological effects of some curses rather that solely physical.

THE OWLS ARE IN! IT’S TIME FOR THE SURVEY RESULTS!

So, as many of our followers are probably aware, we recently did a survey to get a feel of what people thought of our blog. We got a total of 57 results and we are grateful to each and every one of you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Now, we’re here to share the general consensus of what people thought and how we will accommodate these opinions.

We’ll definitely have some changes to the blog, so read on to see what those changes are!

Before we begin, we have a few things to briefly mention.

The results are pretty scattered. We didn’t want to restrict anyone, so most were free response or included “Other”. In hindsight, there were a few questions that could have easily been multiple choice without really restricting anyone. (Side eyes the first question.) Therefore, most of these will just summarize the results we got. Occasionally drop the graph for the multiple choice questions.

Because of the large amount of responses we got, not every answer will be listed here. We highlighted the things that were either most commonly mentioned or had us thinking the most.

The most common response was, “Nothing,” or a variation thereof, but that’s no fun for this question, so here are some of the legitimate criticisms we received!

“Quote sources, I think, occasionally aren't there.”

Our original quotes often don’t have sources. But if there’s one where a mod forgot to credit a source, please just message us and one of the admins will fix that!

“There isn't a particularly nice aesthetic to the blog, e.g. a matching layout and profile picture or quote.”

Yeah, we’re working to fix that. I like pretty blogs too.

“Could be updated a little more.”

(”Not much posting in my opinion,” “Long time between posts.”)

Strangely enough, we got this a few times but our later poll about how often to post were contradicting this. So, unfortunately, we will not be adjusting this.

Thank you for appreciating the diversity. We get occasional hate over it, but we also get hate over not posting some of the other ships. I suppose that’s what happens when you have lots of different followers of different opinions.

We’re sorry you feel that way. We always put it in the tags, just in front of the source. We are more of a mod-based blog rather than a submission-based blog. Anyone is welcome to submit, but about 98% of our posts are created by our mods.

We can assure you our mods put a lot of thought into what characters to use, but you are welcome to message us with your own suggestion! (But please note that we are a Marauders blog; we got a few comments about how we don’t post enough Hinny or Romione, but that’s not what our blog is about.)

Once again, we got a lot about how funny we are, so we’ll skip over those and highlight the more unique answers!

(We got this a few times. ”Like the type of blog and incorrect-marauders was the first one Harry potter themed I found,” also, “Its really funny and pretty much the only blog that just does this kind of post and i LOVE it.” But alternatively... “There are a lot of textpost blogs like it, but it is one of the only ones that I have found that consistently keeps characters in character in the posts and appeals to my sense of humor.”)

How often should we post?

We got a lot of variety here. Some say once a day (which is how often we currently post) was ideal. Others put stuff like...

“I wouldnt mind my entire blog just being filled with your posts.”

While Once A Day is the most voted for, the rest of the options put together, which we’ll name Two or More Times a Day, do win overall. Since we have one new post followed by a reblog, we’ll compromise by posting two times a day, but with one new post a day (the second being a reblog).

In UTC, what times do you prefer us posting?

As expected, not many people cared. But two people felt very strongly and voted for 12am, 1am, and 6pm UTC. So, we’ll consider that.

What characters, relationships, universes, etc. would you like to see more represented in our posts?

We got a lot of responses here, primarily being more Wolfstar, Jily, and BFFs James and Sirius. We also got a lot saying we should post about Hinny, Romione, next gen, FBAWTFT, etc. in which I remind you that this is a Marauders blog.

We also got the hilarious response that said we should maybe post about the “merauders”. Well, we can certainly promise you that.

We also got a lot of people saying more McGonagall. That’s something we can definitely do.

Would you like to see more original quotes from us?

For the longest time, the option 50/50 was at exactly 50%. Kind of disappointed that is no longer, but the 25% option is at 25%, so that’s something. Anyway, we’ll aim for 50/50.

What else would you like to see us post?

This was one of the results that will make the biggest change to the blog. People seem to really love these ideas. So expect...

Marauder Mondays! Every Monday we’ll have Marauder Monday, where we’ll answer asks, reblog posts, and have a party! Probably when we’ll post the “extra” posts, like our GIFs, graphics, aesthetics, videos, etc.

How would you feel if we did sponsored posts?

Combined, it seems like ~75% of those who took the survey are good with sponsored posts.

These results honestly surprised us. We’ve gotten a lot of offers of sponsorships in the past but have always denied them because we didn’t know how our followers would feel. We probably won’t do this in the near future, but it’s an option.

What kind of projects would you like to see us host?

We got so many people suggesting merch. Shirts, stickers, pins, other merch... So we’ll keep that in mind! We’d love some Marauders shirts ourselves.

Why Do You Love the Harry Potter Series?

Hello to anyone who sees this! I’m working on a discourse community profile project for my English class about the Harry Potter fandom, and I would greatly appreciate it if any of you could provide an answer on why you personally love the Harry Potter series.

Seeing as the original books and movies ended about a decade ago, what keeps you dedicated or attached to the series? Is it the world building? The characters? A special family/friend connection? New content (FBAWTFT, mobile game, etc.)? Fan content (fanart, fanfiction, roleplays, etc.)?

What drew you to the series in the first place and what did you think about it then?

Same characters, probably modern setting, and everyone is on Tinder.

Graves and Picquery keep matching up and then neither of them dares look the other in the face for WEEKS

"Send me nudes" Graves, because we all know he would be a total fuckboy about it (and of course, looking like he does, he would get all the nudes and more)

Graves sees Tina on Tinder and decides to have a very serious talk with her about the dangers of online dating

Tina and Newt match up and have the slowest, most awkward, chat conversations. It takes them over two months to actually decide to go on a date, even though they’ve both stopped using the app for anything that is not talking to each other.

Newt only has an account because Theseus created it for him. Most of his profile pictures are actually photos of his animals.
