Hey Guys!

March is finally over. God that month sucked. And unfortunately, I can’t see April being much better. Obviously, due to everything that is happening in the world right now and also my anxiety being through the roof recently (the two are not related) I don’t have a whole lot of favourites this month. I didn’t really do much or love much. but, here are the few things that I did love in March.

Favourite Purchase

There are two things that you need to know about me. First, I am in love with the MCU’s Loki and second I am a giant fucking child! So naturally, I immediately brought myself the build-a-bear Loki bear upon learning of its existence. And I love him. he sits in my reading chair and judges everyone who enters the room. Hands down the best £30 I have ever spent

Favourite TV Show

I’ve been reaching Dr Who from the start, and loving it. it is very much a comfort for me. I have just had it on in the background as I can’t stand silence at the moment. I had forgotten how much I used to love this show.

Favourite Book

I had a pretty good reading month in March, I managed to read a pretty good number of books and there are two that really stand out to me. Those books are Call Down the Hawk by Maggie Stiefvater and Beneath The Sugar Sky by Seanan McGuire. Two very different, but equally incredible books. I loved them both so much and highly recommend both of them.

Favourite Decision

So I cut off half my hair this month 😂 well, actually, I got my sister to cut off half my hair for me. My hair used to be nearly to my butt. I hadn’t had a hair cut in years because I am too cheap and lazy. But it was starting to really piss me off. it is just too long. It was getting in the way, it was really hard to manage, I couldn’t style it anymore and I had basically just had enough, so a few days ago I got my sister to cut it off for me. It now comes to just below my shoulders and I actually really love it. I was so scared to do it as I have always had really long hair, but I actually really like how it turned out. And I have been curling it a lot (since it will now actually hold a curl) and I love it.

Hey Guys!

Another month has been and gone. I honestly don’t know how we are already into august. Today it is time for my July favourites. So, here is everything that I loved in the month of July.

Favourite Nail Varnish

In July I rediscovered my love of black nail varnish. A few weeks ago I picked up a bottle of Number 7’s, black, gelly nail varnish on a whim and I haven’t stopped wearing it since. I haven’t worn black nail varnish in about a year and I had forgotten how much I love it. it is just so easy and simple and, well, me. Also, this particular nail varnish is brilliant.

  Favourite Book

I had a brilliant reading month in July but there is one book that really stands out to me and that is The Song Of Achilles by Madeline Miller. Why did I wait so long to read this book? it is so damn good! I loved it. In July I also reread the whole Percy Jackson series in like 2 days and I bloody loved that too. it was so nice to rediscover a favourite.

Favourite Makeup Item

So, I brought a couple of new eyeshadow pallets in July and there is one in particular that I have been loving and that is the Obsession pallet, Be The Game Changer. It is just such a great pallet. It is perfect for everyday and I have been wearing it loads. I freaking love it!

Favourite Place

My own bedroom. I honestly haven’t spent much time in my bedroom lately, between work, seeing friends and having the house to myself for two weeks. But I have finally started to spend more time in there again and I am loving it. I had almost forgotten how at ease I feel in here. it is 100% my happy place. I am loving my solitude.

Favourite TV Show

In July I finally started watching Stranger Things and I have ended up enjoying it was more than I was expecting too. I watched two season in about three days. I haven’t started season three yet, but I am really excited to watch it.

April was a weird month. It somehow managed to really drag but also speed by. Don’t know what the fuck that was all about. Anyway, since it is finally, thankfully, over, it is time for a monthly favourites post. Letsa go!

Favourite Place

I went to Rome last week and it was amazing. Such an incredible city. I was only there for five days but I loved every second of it. There is just so much history and culture. And so much incredible ice cream. I just loved it. if you ever get the chance to go to Rome, you 100% should.

Favourite Nail Varnish

I have found myself reaching for Barry M, Almond/Stone (two different names on the bottle) a lot recently. It is just a really beautiful. It is a very natural grey toned, beige. It is a really easy colour to wear and it goes with everything. I love it. I have also been wearing Essie, Not Just A Pretty Face, quite a bit. I am not in love with this one, but it gives your nails a really healthy fresh look and I do like that.

  Favourite Book

I seem to be reading a lot of incredible books recently. And this month has been no different. There are a few books this month that where just absolutely amazing and I loved. They are Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi and Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. All three of these books and just so good and are well worth a read!

Favourite Song

Panic! At The Disco dropped two new songs at the end of March, and I am obsessed with them! I have not stopped listening to them since they dropped. I cannot wait till Pray For The Wicked album comes out. I love both the new songs but have been listening to Say Amen (Saturday Night) pretty much constantly since it dropped. I freaking love it.

Favourite Purchase

I haven’t brought much this month but one thing that I did buy and freaking love if some Raven Cycle themed cut outs from Book Of Shadows Studio on Etsy. She makes these stunning bookish themed cut outs and I have brought several designs from her before including A Darker Shade Of Magic silhouette, Mortal Instrument Runes, Percy Jackson characters and more. and she recently released Raven Cycle silhouette and my god, they are so beautiful, I love them. I think they may be my new favourites. You need to check out her shop, her work is amazing!

And that’s it really. April was a bit of a non-descript month for me. I was basically working all the time. The only interesting thing was going on Holiday. What have you been loving recently? I hope that you have enjoyed todays post and I will see you all again very soon.

Hey Guys!

Another month has gone passed! This year is going by so quickly! On the plus side, its almost Christmas!! Whoop whoop! And since it is now November, it is time for another monthly favourites post.

Favourite Book

It was a bit of a strange reading month for me as I read pretty much only spooky/scary/horror/midly creepy books, with only a couple of exceptions. But there where a couple of books that I did really enjoy. The books that I really enjoyed where Say Her Name by Juno Dawson, Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake and Lockwood And Co, The Empty Grave by Jonathan Stroud. All of these where really good, a brilliant ends to series and I loved them all.

Favourite TV Show

I have been on a bit of nostalgia kick this month. I am still making my way through Gilmore Girls and enjoying it, but I have also started re-watching One Tree Hill. And I am loving it. I had forgotten how good that show is. I have also, finally, started watching Shadowhunters, and again, I am loving it. I really like. yes, it is different from the books, but it is a good show and I am enjoying it.

Favourite Song

I actually have a favourite song for once. The song in question is Slow Hands by Niall Horen. I wasn’t particularly fussed about this song, and then I kept hearing it the whole time that I was in Cardiff and I kind off fell in love with it a bit and had to download it. I have been listening to it pretty constantly ever since. I really like and I am pretty sure that I am going to buy his whole album now.

Favourite Nail Varnish

Throughout October I was pretty constantly wearing black and orange nail varnish, in honour of ‘Stand Up To Cancer’. And I actually really liked it. It was a little nod that I was showing my support to a good cause and it also felt a little Halloween-y. the black that was my usual fav, Rimmel London Black Out and the orange was Clockwork Orange by Leighton Denny. I loved it, and I gotta admit that I am kind of going to miss it.

Favourite Place

CARDIFF! I love Cardiff and this month I went back there for a few days with my sister. It was just a really nice few days. There is a full post up about it, if you want to know more. but I loved it. I love that place so much.
