okay i have opinions about ivy's opinions about faustsang. which is that faustsang as a couple is not real. i fully believe that those two have a sort of unspoken Thing of like, "we're too similar to be good for each other but we're also so similar that we understand each other in a way others don't, so we have a weird bond that only people like us could possibly have." like they Get each other and that's their relationship dynamic. i 100% "ship" them as being in that weird gray area between friendship and romance, AKA Getting each other. like roland and angela

now romantically i say yi sang and heathcliff should kiss already

roland and angela... i never finished ruina and being reminded of them is the only way to get me to pick it up again for a day. ough.

anyway, i do think they have a Thing wrt end of warp express but i push back on the idea that they had a Thing prior to that. i think faust is too gesellschaft poisoned to act in a way that the other sinners would find charming. now post warp express and especially canto 7 faust being the most "time to intentionally fuck up all my relationships forever" i think yi sang has adopted her a little bit and will not budge on wanting to be her friend

finally someone understands my heathsang vision. ive been writing them into the longfic im working on accidentally but its good bc finally ill have a scene to point to and go "i think theyre like THIS"
