The last in a long line of images taken from animations. The Bathouse from Spirited Away. - - In the beginning I thought this would be no different than other Disney landscapes; how wrong I was. This was a colossal effort spanning all three Lord of the Rings movies and more. What looks quite simple from a cursory glance had billions of tiny little detailings that make this scene come to life. Its the minute subtlety of each intricate detail that gives these world personality and I have nothing but respect for all the love and effort that goes into these movies. Im still drawn back to The Emperor’s New Groove and that whole world in general. I wanted to do it justice with this depiction of Kuzco’s Palace. I find architecture a bit easier to remap as it has a more structured feel to it and such I managed to finish this one in a day (albeit with much exhaustion after). Recently watched Pocahontas with @introverted_poledancer and found the color direction and scenes breathtaking. I wanted to capture the farewell as best I could and boyo was it difficult.
