The making of my final products

So to make my cushions I first went to hobby craft in Ipswich and brought myself four fat quarters which were in all shade of green, I chose green because it links to the theme botanical and I am keeping a constant trend of green within my work and as you can see on the cushions patterns they are also green. Then I chose my two final pattern designs and began to look on the internet for companies which print digitally onto fabric and I found a small business on etsy called fashionformulauk I had my prints printed onto fabrics sized 65 cm wide and 48 cm tall so I had to changed my photoshop files to this size so when they printed my design the resolution and sizing would be clear.

to make my pillows i had my grandmas best friend help me as i am new to textiles, so we started but measuring out the size of the pillows i wanted and we wanted to use as much material as possible to make the pillows larger and have as much detail as possible. once we cut the patterned fabric we then cut the same sized square/circle in the coloured fat quarter as this would be for the back of the cushion. then we got the sewing machine prepped and threaded a green thread to stitch with just to keep the link of colour. then to stitch these we stitched them inside out so that there would be no stitched fabric on show and it would look neat and even. once we stitched round the whole cushion we left a small opening so i could stuff the pillows with toy stuffing i had brought because i wanted to make a circle cushion and couldn't find a cushion to put inside for shape so i decided on stuffing which worked just as well. 

I am very pleased with the final turnout of my cushions because the quality of the printed fabric is exactly what I wanted and they look exactly how I planned and I feel they fit the age audience I have aimed to reach which is 16-24. Urban outfitter has inspired me for these pillows.
