I’m a #fasciation-finding fiend apparently. #MonoptilonBellioides / #MojaveDesertstar / #Desertstars normally look like a teeny tiny little white daisy or cluster of daisies growing right up outta the ground. But this one had one elongated inflorescence that looked like three daisies melted together. Or like a daisy that glitched out. It was really cool. The moral of the story is: take time to space out & stare at the ground real good sometimes. Probably the coolest #fasciated plant I’ve come across yet: a twice-crested #KeckiellaTernata / #BlueStemmedKeckiella. A fasciated branch that split into many normal branches and one that was also fasciated with a huge inflorescence at the end. A twice-crested branch.
