Elauthin's parents died when she young and her older siblings, Farryn and Nehari, stepped into a more parental role for a short time. Then she met Makenna, a fated meeting in the alienage, and there's an instant connection neither of them can explain. For a while, Makenna refuses to fool herself into thinking she can be a mother again. She had her chance and she lost it. Elle is the one who chooses Makenna as her mother and later, Raina (Inquisitor) as well, as her mamae. That causes quite a bite of resentment from Nehari that causes her and Elauthin's relationship to fracture down the road, but Elle doesn't regret her choice. Her chosen parents taught her everything she needed to know in order to navigate the world and hopefully, survive it. She is always trying to prove herself though because she worries that they won't love her anymore if she fails, but they're always proud of her and helping her behind the scenes.

For the longest time, Makenna shrouds her existence from the Veilguard because of her ties to Solas and the Inquisition (and to help hide Elauthin's as well) which means when they eventually meet her, it's not under the best of circumstances. They're angry at her for leaving Elle unable to tell them the truth, and she further goads them when they try to call her on it. Later they realize she did it to make them take all of their ire out on her rather than Elle. Lucanis doesn't quite know what to make of her when they first meet but he notices immediately how much she loves Elauthin and will do anything for her. Even if they disagree on everything else, they both agree on that. Makenna is very supportive of the relationship between them and makes sure Lucanis knows he has her blessing before the final fight.

12. Sadira’s relationship with her dad is a good one. He’s a mage as well. Arel is the biggest Dad Joke maker to exist.

21. Sadira’s relatives are her sister Farryn and her parents Arel and Almithara. They’re a cute happy little elven family :) no tragic backstory or anything complicated here. She’s very close with her family so it’s difficult for her to be away from them.

22. Sadira is closest to Vivienne as well as Cassandra out of the companions. She loves Dorian too! Sadira doesn’t get along with Solas. In fact, there is definitely a palpable awkwardness between them!! She was offended by his opinions and interpreted his actions as condescending. (To note- these are Sadira’s opinions, not my own, I’m not posting any character hate at all)

42. What makes Sadira happy? Sadira likes having fun most of all. Very simple things make her happy. Dressing up, going to a party, playing cards, presents, spending time with those she loves. She can be very goofy and silly if she’s around the right people and having a good time

62. How emotionally/mentally vulnerable is Sadira with other people? I would say very. She’s an open book. If she’s upset or angry, she can’t hide it. She can snap at people if she’s mad. She can’t hide her happiness and will try to get anyone in on a joke or a game. When In a relationship with Cullen, she said “I love you” embarrassingly soon. With Sadira, what you see is what you get. She can’t hide her emotions at all. She will openly get flustered and upset in the war room or in front of companions. She’s not good at regulating or hiding her emotions.

i've said it before but -i feel this especially after i went to get [REDACTED]'s fragment at the crossroads - i wish they'd brought back dao's 'persuade', 'lie', 'convince'. at the very least for this game. it would make perfect sense giving the parties rook is dealing with.
