Paleo Pines is a dinosaur-themed ranching game that allows you to escape to an island populated with welcoming townsfolk and dozens of friendly dinosaurs.

You’ll care for your ranch, help the locals, explore the island, and, of course, befriend dinosaurs!

Paleo Pines can be whatever you want it to be! Farm your heart out with rows and rows of tilled soil, fill your ranch with your dino friends in beautiful pens decorated how you want, help out the locals, or explore far and wide!

Gameplay of Cosmic Safari!

Here's a little gameplay of Cosmic Safari, my indie scifi monster catching/exploration project!

Cosmic Safari's a bit like a roguelike meets a simulation game in that you only have 16 energy each day, and doing actions takes energy. But, unlike a roguelike, nothing is timed, or stressful! And you never really lose progress!

The UI (and there's a few bugs and temp. sprites) still needs some more work for sure, but I wanted to just give youse a vague idea of what the game plays like.

In the video, the player(currently playing the blue puglibarb, a creature I'll get too in the future), goes on the map to Davidge Brook, then moves down through a cave to the Duskwoods, looks at their skills, and then tries to tame a wild psychder and banashee!

Been going through my code fixing and updating a bunch of stuff related to Built Object Interactions.

Hmm, Looks like I still have Fishtanks set up to either open the menu if you're NOT holding a fish, or add the fish you are holding to the tank.I should update this to use my Add from Inventory System!

SUPER OLD GIF: (Look at how small the island is! It fits on the Minimap!! X'D)

After the code update and a couple fixes looks like it's all still working! Now I need to update the way you add Fish so that it uses the Inventory screen instead of just you placing it from the hotbar.

Also update removing Fish, every other interaction that involves getting an Item puts it directly into your inventory (unless full), but the Fishtank still spawns the Item on the ground next to you (you pick it up after a short delay)

Oh! Also I added Fishtanks to the Save System! It's funny, even though they aren't Chests I was able to use the same code I use to store the contents of Chests to get the Fish data for the Save File X'D

I'm being a bit mean, but farming in a farming sim??? No way????

I think a lot of people conflate farming sims with cozy games, and to be fair they contributed a lot to the genre. But a lot of non farmingsim cozy games feature some sort of gardening, because their focus is on resource management and cultivation... also gardening is relaxing? And chill? And dare i say cozy? Like idk what to tell you dude lol.
