I don’t know if you’ve ever seen this: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8NASMSn/ clip of baby Taylor swift but it gave me SUCH baby leo vibes the way she says “thank you!…thanks for saying that!” and it just made me think of the cubs watching each others home videos

I am not going to lie- I am not a Taylor Swift fan, nor am I really on TikTok. And I don't pay much attention to celebrities in general, so I DEFINITELY don't get the reference, BUT I love love LOVE home movies. My parents have some of my brothers and I that I love, so I thought it'd be cool to have an O'Hara Brother Feature.

“Oh-ho, look at these gems,” Finn laughed. He had a box open in front of him on the ground, laden with VHS tapes in his parent’s Hamptons house living room. “A blast from the past.”

“Quoi?” Logan asked. He came up behind Finn to put a hand on his back, glass of wine held in the other. “What are those?”

“These, my baby, are old family movies.” Finn smiled at the dates scribbled on the back. “Oh man, we gotta put these in. I think we still have the VHS player under the TV.”

“Ouais,” Logan said, kissing the top of his head. It smelled salty like the sea, and musky, like Finn. “I’ll go get Le.”

“Mm,” Finn hummed. “Tell him to get out of the kitchen and sit down. He’s doing too much.”

Logan laughed and straightened. “I’ll try, but your mother’s recipe book collection is hard to pull him away from.”

Sure enough, when he entered the large kitchen, Leo was sat at the granite countertop on a barstool, humming to himself and flipping through one of Haley’s cookbooks. He had an entire stack of a half dozen in front of him, and a piece of paper that he kept tearing up and using to create bookmarks. Logan watched his back fondly for a moment before sidling up to him and kissing his cheek. “What are you reading, soleil?”

“Falafel fritters with a tomato and carrot cream,” Leo said. He didn’t even turn to look at Logan, eyes focused on the page. “It’s in this new vegan book Haley got, I think I’ll make it as an appetiser tomorrow.”

“Ouais, sounds good,” Logan replied. He pressed soft kisses to the skin under Leo’s ear. “Leo.”

“One second.” Leo’s eyes were still glued to the recipe and he ripped some paper to make a bookmark, then turned to drape his arms over Logan’s shoulders. “Hi. Hi, sweetheart, hi.” He kissed Logan softly. “Sorry, I’ve been so focused.”

“Non, it’s good,” Logan said gently with a smile. He ran a palm up and down Leo’s side. “You’re so relaxed. You sleep better here.”

Leo nodded. “I think it’s the air. And the food. I like having time to cook more.” He perked up and turned to another cookbook. “Which reminds me, I also saw this Yemeni recipe for lamb, it looks really good.” He flipped through a few pages, brows furrowed, and Logan leaned his head on his shoulder. “I can’t remember what page it’s on, I’m sure I bookmarked it-”

“Ouais, mon coeur, sounds good,” Logan murmured into his skin. He took the book gently from Leo’s hands and set it down. “We can go to the farmer’s market tomorrow for vegetables and to the butcher’s the next town over. And there’s the spice shop right beside it, ouais?”

Leo was nodding. He ran a hand through Logan’s hair. “Ouais, sounds good.” He took Logan’s glass for a sip of wine and then set it on the counter. “C’mere,” he said, folding Logan into a hug. With Leo sat down like that, they were closer in height, and it was easier for Logan to tuck his face into his neck. Leo let out a deep sigh. “I’m so happy here. I feel so much better.”

“I know,” Logan whispered. He felt the tension in his muscles ease. “You’re so beautiful here.” He pulled back to kiss Leo gently a few times then took his hands. “C’mon. Fish found some home movies he wants to show us.”

“Oh yeah?” Leo asked, eyebrows raised in amusement. He turned to organize the cookbooks back together. “Can’t miss that. You want more wine, honey?”

Logan shook his head. “Non, merci.” He looped his arms around Leo’s neck when he turned around. He stood on Leo’s socked feet with a smile. ��Just you. You and rouge.”

Leo grinned at him walked them a few steps before grabbing Logan under his thighs and picking him up. Logan gasped out a laugh and squeeze Leo’s hips with his thighs. “Soleil.”

“It’s the vacation bliss, honey,” he said matter-of-factly. His blue eyes were twinkly and happy. “Let’s go see our boy.”

Back in the living room, Finn had seemingly figured out how to work the VHS player and was flicking the television on. He smiled up from the couch when they came in. “Hello, lovers.” He raised his eyebrows. “Lo, did you somehow lose function in your feet on vacation?”

“Non,” Logan said. Leo brought him closer to the couch and he gently transferred himself from Leo’s arms and onto the cushions. “Non, but vacation means I get to be carried around.”

“And what about our Leo?” He patted his lap. “Come sit, sunshine.”

“Hi,” Leo said as he straddled Finn’s waist. “What’d you find, sweetheart?”

Finn caressed Leo’s ribs. “Home movies of Al and I when we were little. I wanna watch them.” He leaned in to kiss Leo softly, and Logan loved how gentle he always was with them. “Having fun being a personal climbing gym?”

Leo laughed, his face flushing. “Loads,” he said. “If you can be mine.”

“Count on it baby, hold on.”

Finn abruptly stood up, clutching one hand under Leo’s thigh and the other around his back, and dipped him towards the ground. Leo’s face was red with laughter and his curls hung freely away from his head as he tilted it back. “Fish, your back-”

“You’re not hurting me,” Finn said through his snickering, love written all over his face as he bent to kiss at Leo’s neck exaggeratedly. “I could just eat you for dessert.”

“No,” Leo laughed, his biceps flexing where they were wrapped around Finn’s shoulders. 

“No?” Finn asked incredulously. He straightened and boosted Leo higher in his arms with a pout. “What do you mean, ‘no’? Logan and I love eating you for dessert.” He turned to look at Logan. “Isn’t that right, Lo, baby?”

“Ouais, my favorite,” Logan sighed with a soft smile. He brought his feet up under him and tilted his head to lay back against the cushions. “Allez, ici.”

Finn placed another kiss on Leo’s cheek and sat back down on the couch, Leo swinging a leg around to settle down on his other side. Logan threw his legs across their laps and poked Leo’s thigh with his toes. “Le.”

Leo snorted but massaged his arches with his thumbs. “What excuse do you have for foot rubs? I thought they stopped functioning.” 

Logan just looked up at him through his eyelashes. “Non, they didn’t. They’re sore.”

Leo just kissed his ankle.

Meanwhile, Finn had switched over to the right input on the TV. He briefly lifted Logan’s legs up to go to the player and press ‘play’, then sat back down with an excited little shimmy. “I have no idea how long these are, but the date should be when I was about a year and a half and Alex about five. Should be pretty funny.”

Leo chuckled. “I bet. You’ve both been trouble makers since you were born.”

“Hush,” Finn said teasingly. “I am an esteemed gentleman.”

“Non,” Logan snorted. “Non, you’re not.” He reached for Finn’s hand and kissed it. “But you’re very sweet.

“Well, we know how you feel about sweet things, huh, sweet thing?” Finn retorted. He rubbed a palm up and down Logan’s thigh. “Oh, shit, it’s loaded.”

They all turned their heads to look at the screen. Logan recognized the O’Hara’s brownstone living room, but there was carpet instead of hardfloor and the video was a bit grainy. Ramsey was sat on the floor, hair a little bit less gray and thicker, but still that deep auburn that was signature to the O’Hara’s. He had black glasses with overly large rectangular frames, and his eyes were trained on the foam blocks in front of him. Beside him was-

“Oh, sweetheart,” Leo said fondly. “You were so cute! Oh, look at you.”

Finn, no more than a toddler, was sat next to his father in just a pull-up. His face was freckly, all though not as much as in adulthood, and his hair was still red and thick, much thicker than a normal toddler’s. He was a bit chubby and his eyes were still toasty brown and wide, trained on Ramsey as his father tried to demonstrate how to stack blocks on top of one another. Finn was watching him carefully. 

“Finn, baby,” Haley, who was filming, said. “Whatcha doing?”

Finn turned and gave her a toothy grin, exactly the same one he gave Logan and Leo every day. “Mama.”

Haley laughed. “Hi, baby. You having fun with dad?”

“Yeah, bud,” Ramsey cooed. He held up a blue rectangle. “Can you stack it for me?”

Finn furrowed his brow and nodded, taking the block from his father and placing it on top of the small pile. He smiled, proud of his work. “Mama, look!”

“I see baby!” Haley laughed. “Can you tell me the colors, please?”

Finn nodded, and rattled them off from bottom to top. Red, blue, yellow, green, pink- he stumbled over the world ‘purple’, which made his father laugh and run a hand over the top of his head. “Purple, buddy.”

“Poi-pur-purple.”

Haley and Ramsey cooed over him again, and he bounced happily where he was sat on the floor- until someone else came into the frame. 

“Mom!” a little Alex O’Hara called. “Mom, I don’t know where my skates are. I want to bring them in for show and tell.”

He walked further into the frame then, a spitting image of Finn- or, really, Finn was a spitting image of him- but older and taller. He stopped when he saw his mom with the camera, and went up to hug at her legs eagerly. “Can I see myself?”

“What’s the magic word?” Ramsey asked.

“Please?”

“Sure, honey, hold on.” There was a movement, presumably Haley flipping the little video screen on the side over to display Alex to himself. “There you go, can you see?”

“Yeah, thanks,” Alex said. He was checking himself out in the camera, smoothing his hair back slightly. His eyes brightened suddenly. “Hey, Fishy, come here.”

“Alex, what are you doing?”

“I’m gonna show Finn himself, dad,” Alex said. He went over and scooped his hands under Finn’s armpits. Finn protested slightly, but Alex wrapped his arms around Finn’s chest. “It’s okay, Fish, I got you.” He lifted him up gingerly and waddled him over to the camera. “Look, Finn, look,” he gasped, voice higher. “Look, it’s you! Can’t you see?” He used one hand to point. “Can you see us, Fishy?”

Finn took a second to look, then burst out laughing. “Alex!”

“Yeah,” Alex giggled. “Look at this.” He crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue, sending Finn into a fit of laughter all over again. Ramsey and Haley were laughing, too, shaking the camera slightly.

“Al, be careful,” Ramsey said. “Don’t squeeze him too hard.”

“I won’t hurt him,” Alex replied, giving Finn a hug. “He’s my baby brother.” He made another face at the camera. “Fishy, make a funny face, too!”

Finn did his best attempt at mimicking his brother, and then the tape went dark. 

Logan took a breath, carefully looking over at Finn beside him. He was smiling, a hand brought up to his chin. Leo looked at Logan from across his body and winked, then leaned in to kiss the side of Finn’s head. “You smile exactly the same.”

Finn didn’t say anything for a few seconds. Then, as though he couldn’t help it, he burst out laughing. “Did you see my father’s glasses?” He had to lean back on the couch he was laughing so hard. “Oh my God, and Alex’s shirt? That was bright fucking neon yellow, what an awful fashion statement.”

Logan brought his legs back to tuck under himself and leaned in to scratch at Finn’s scalp. “Ouais, but you were wearing- what do you call them?”

“A pull-up, sweetheart,” Leo said.

“Right, a pull-up.” He grinned against Finn’s jaw. “It barely fit over your chubby thighs.”

“Hey,” Finn said. “I was a baby.”

“I thought your chubby thighs were cute, honey,” Leo said. He also had an arm around Finn, but was massaging at the base of his neck. “I didn’t realize you were that chunky, my Lord.”

“I grew out of it by the time I was four. Then I was a scrawny fucker for a while, jeez.”

Logan bit at his bicep. “Not anymore.”

“Nope, now I’m all muscly for you,” Finn said smugly. “Means I can pick you up.”

Leo laughed. “So you’re muscly so we can use you as our personal climbing gym?”

“I said what I said.”

Leo shook his head. “You’re ridiculous.” He kissed Finn’s cheek. “I love you very much.” He nodded at the T.V. “Let’s put in another tape.”

“Ouais,” Logan said lowly. He looked up through his lashes with a grin. “And then dessert?”

Finn’s whipped his head over to look at him, smiling, then turned to Leo. “I could eat dessert.”

Leo’s face was bright red, but he looked pleased. “Movie first. Then you can eat dessert.” 

Logan laughed- he had never seen Finn scramble to stand up so fast.

Wanted to ask about your thoughts on Linzin’s love language. How they prefer to give and receive, things like that 🥰

Thank you so much for the ask! Let's break it down!

Lin's love languages: physical touch, quality time, and acts of service

Growing up with Toph, I think everyone can definitely agree that Lin enjoys receiving and giving physical touch to show affection, support, comfort, and love. Simply focusing on her relationship with Tenzin and how this plays out, touch also helps her feel grounded. Bad day at work where she lost a colleague or she faced a lot of criticism from the press? First thing Tenzin does is give her a hug, and just being in that embrace grounds her back to reality and also soak in the love and protection of her partner.

Also, when she cuddles Tenzin, sometimes it's super aggressive bc CAN'T. GET. CLOSE. ENOUGH. TO. HER. BOYFRIEND (or husband 😍) She's wearing a tanktop and some shorts, while Tenzin is shirtless. Lin has her legs around him too so he can't escape. But he's a fucking heater, so after a while she needs some space to cool off lol

Second love language would be quality time. Toph was really busy with work, leaving Lin and Su to fend for themselves more often than they should have. I feel that since she didn't have that with her mom, it becomes something she values in her relationships with others. This only solidifies as Lin and Tenzin grow up and become involved in their careers. Their jobs take so much of their time, and they need those days of simply being together or going on quiet dates. Luckily, they have similar outlooks on how they want to spend their time together. Plus, the world and especially RC is so nosy on their relationship and business, that they just want to be together in peace. I like to imagine that they have conversations sometimes about what kind of life they would like to live if they weren't who they were. Tenzin would say living quietly in the countryside as a farmer...Lin would joke he can be a cabbage farmer. Lin would say that there's no use in thinking about a different life bc what else can they do to change it? Nothing. But her answer might be a pro-bending coach.

Lastly, she values acts of service. I think Toph instilled in her the idea that words don't mean anything. Actions speak volumes. Lin is a protector and will take the bullet for anyone she cares about. I feel like the line between protector and taking care of others' needs can get blurry with her. When Tenzin is stepping up for her and taking care of her, she's gonna protest, but inside, she appreciates it so much. She has the difficulty of learning how to allow others to take care of her, but Tenzin knows.

Overall, her love languages to receive/give are mostly the same.

Now, we move on to...

Tenzin's love languages: words of affirmations, quality time, and physical touch

Tenzin has a different dynamic going on because he has this title: airbender. For him, he has this luxury of being "spoiled" or "adored" by the world, but the other side of the sword is that he must deal with the crippling responsibility of "reviving the Air Nation and continuing Aang's legacy." I can imagine he would hear compliments, receive facors and gifts due to his connection to Aang and also being the first airbender born in...a long time. All of those things always felt superficial to him, so it doesn't hold as much meaning for him. Also with receiving gifts, his culture teaches to detach from earthly materials anyway.

Words of affirmation: He might appreciate this to some extent. Tenzin needs a lot of verbal validation, especially since he is insecure about how he's continuing his dad's legacy (if we follow canon). Lin may not be lovey-dovey with her words, but she knows how to support and comfort him by telling him what he needs to hear.

Lin: Tenz...of course you are good enough. You are more than enough. So what if you can't get into the spirit world? Do I love you less? Tenzin: No. Lin: Exactly. I love you regardless.

On the other hand, Tenzin is amazing at giving words of affirmation. Reading all of those ancient scrolls makes him a pretty smart cookie and helps him talk smoothly. Except when he tried to ask out Lin on a date for the first time...that was...mind went blank and somehow she ended up dating him. In general, he enjoys showering Lin with loving words all the time. People can be cruel, the press is merciless at times and that weighs on Lin, and she might not have the best record of speaking highly on herself very likely. If no one else is going to tell her she's beautiful, loved, powerful, fierce, and enough...who else will? Tenzin will gladly work overtime to make sure Lin hears his millionth poem about how much he loves her and adores her.

His second love language is quality time, and I think it's for the similar reasons as Lin. Although, I think he spent a lot of time with people growing up, but felt very alone. He wasn't seen for himself, but rather his bending. Lin knows and loves him for who Tenzin is. Spending time with Lin also helps him get a reality check because he tends to be more coddled by people than her.

Lin: You can't just force people to become air nomads, Airhead. Tenzin: But they're airbenders now! They need to be part of our nation, who wouldn't want to? Lin: Tenzin...do you hear yourself? The acolytes started out as groupies. They became acolytes on their own volition. These are people who have their own identities. You can't just force them to give up everything they know for YOU.

Lastly, physical touch. I think he grew to enjoy giving/receiving physical affection especially when he started developing feelings for Lin. The added layer to this love language is that it reminds him that Lin is alive and with him. She's breathing, unharmed, and safe in his arms. Her job is so dangerous and she's constantly putting herself on the line. He's had nightmares of losing her and just being able to hold her while they sleep? Never letting go.

Finally, let's be real. Tenzin is horny and wild af in bed. I don't think he can keep it in his pants when he's around her. But who can blame him? Look at Lin Beifong. Celibacy? That word has not been in his vocabulary since he was 17 and started dating Lin.

Hey! What do you think of Harvest Moon Light of Hope? I really like it but there's not much about it. Ik it's after the marvelous/natsume breakup but uh, I kinda love it.

Okay, first of all, thank you so much for the ask! I'm thrilled that you sent this and shared something you love with me. :)

To preface, I was asked for my opinion, and (usually) I do not solidify opinion without retrospective analysis. So this is some personal opinion, and some observant fact discussion based on stuff that came out with the release of it. I can't talk about this without addressing some glaring discussion points.

My short answer is: I'm not really fond of it, or Natsume titles.

My long answer is below. Please don't continue past the read more unless you're prepared. 🥺

I want to stress that this is entirely not meaning to sour yours or anyone else's opinion and I hope you continue to enjoy what you love.

Never thought I'd ever have someone directly ask me about this game, because in the past, I've freely given my opinion of it. Forgive my long-winded verbosity in advance.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of Light of Hope. Next to Little Farmers and Lost Valley, I'd rank it as very low on the list of games I'd ever willingly purchase out of the split. If you were curious, Winds of Anthos is the closest I came to feeling like I might throw $20 to Natsume, but alas I have yet to pay for any of their games. I don't need or want to - and we'll get to that.

If the game were named anything other than Harvest Moon, perhaps I'd have a less strict view of this game. Alas, it's a Natsume title. While being a "Natsume-published" title does not make a game bad by default, it's a Natsume-funded and outsource-developed title under a dead horse label. Light of Hope was, to dismay, released as the "20th Anniversary" title - as in "20 Years of Harvest Moon". I even have the book to speak to this.

As a consumer, and also as a game dev, I would not ever align myself with a company that seeks to obfuscate origin or take credit for others' work - as they so did when marketing this game, using this timeline to allude to sequential relation of their games and the originals under Bokujou Monogatari.

Separate to the name label debacle, there's clearly a progression of improvement across the board from the studio actually putting the effort in - Appci (formerly Tabot inc.) -- I will give them that.

From their previous games, players got a pretty similar experience of writing comparatively with Skytree Village, but there was still something to be desired about the overworld presentation. The overall gameplay loop did not regress but also did not particularly innovate anything. This title, largely, just felt like coasting on a household name without (perhaps intentionally) trying to stray too far to stand on its own two feet.

But this game is perhaps one of Natsume's most egregious offenders in the sheer amount of Questionable and Not Great decisions.

Among Questionable, Not Great, and perhaps Predatory decisions... there were DLCs present in their previous sole-developed titles of course, but this IP introduced:

Three release versions (Base, Special Edition, Special Edition Complete) with each subsequent release retailing for close to the same price as the first time

DLCs sold separately ($1.99, $5.99, $3.99, $5.99) - OR, $9.99 +tax for a "Season Pass" that contained all DLCs.

These DLCs were for tool upgrades, and extra marriage candidates that fans would have experienced to be Part of the Main Game experience if they played a Bokumono game.

Pure speculation on my part, but one of the pay-for-characters introduced was a clear point at Makise Kurisu from Steins Gate. It felt like they were really playing on that likeness to draw people in.

Perhaps the worst decision they made of all was a character known as Soleil. This character was introduced in Special Edition, as a character similar to Jamie (Magical Melody) or Inari (Trio of Towns) - originality be damned - and was portrayed as a gender ambiguous magical being that would be opposite to whoever you chose as the MC.

The kicker - this was a character you had to hatch from a crystal and raise yourself. The events between this character were more of parent and child, and ended with a confession of love from this being that imprinted on you. It was highly inappropriate. The pages are now deleted on their Facebook, but their social media manager took to responding to the criticisms. The responses did not help. You can find this discussion on Fogu for reference.

Soleil is also a new marriageable character once he is full grown! Wait a minute…wasn’t the earlier picture of him a male?! What’s the story here…?

Soleil is not a human! Soleil doesn't follow human aging…

Ring ring...Chris Hansen's calling. Just absolutely yikes. Deleting those posts was probably their idea of a smart move, but for those who were there, it is unfortunately very ingrained. People deserve to know the decisions they made here to make informed choices.

So what do I feel about the game?

It's among my worst rated games ever for sheer predatory practices and improper decision making. I'm glad there are people that can find it enjoyable, as I'm sure the team that developed this tried their best at the time. But damn.

Biography -

Born in the year 1584 to immigrants in Hungary, Daniella lived the normal life of a farmer’s daughter. It was the year that she turned 16 that things would change, the crops weren’t growing, the livestock were dying at random, and her family had fallen on hard times as many had in the village, it was one night as her father was at the tavern that an opportunity had been laid before him. Two days later Daniella found herself sitting in the back of a carriage being taken the village over, Čachtice, the home of the castle of the bloody countess, Elizabeth Bathory. Though at the time she wasn’t known as such.

Working in the castle wasn’t bad at first, it was grueling work, but she was used to that from the farm. Though the hours were queer. It seemed the countess would stay in the shadows, locked away throughout the day, only really seen at night, it would be a month before the horrors began. She’d heard sounds in her time there, sounds like screams of anguish and pain, but it was forbidden to wander outside of where you were allowed and the punishments could be cruel. She’d seen the welts and lashing marks on the others who didn’t follow the rules, so keeping her head down she was surprised when the countess asked for her one evening. What was uncovered that night still plagues her to this day. The woman was a monster to her, both physically and in her cruelty.

It wouldn’t be for nine more years until she was freed from her misery, though the means…well that was another horror in of itself. There was bloodshed everywhere and in the end as the men threw her body into a cart headed for a pit of flames her new life began. She doesn’t remember much from her first few days, just the hunger, and the over-stimulation. Of the pain as the sun kissed her skin. She was like her now, a monster, a creature of the shadows. A demon. Her will to live is the only thing that keeps her going, that and the name of the man she finds had started the siege in the first place. And thus a vendetta is born. A strong rage and vengeful urge to wipe the earth of the man. To wipe the earth of anyone who was connected to the name Bathory.

Her life becomes one of acting, playing the role of a peasant, a noble, and a maid. Constantly traveling when suspicions grew with her lack of aging, of her need to stay masked in the night or be trapped inside. She feeds discreetly. Watches herself. And thus it goes on as she follows descendants, as she slowly picks them off one by one. Sometimes immediately, others over a period of time. Slowly weaving misfortune into her victim’s life before ending it all the same. Making a game out of her quest.

It’s the trials, she sees so many dying senselessly. Some she feels deserve it, others make her blood boil at the splendor their crowds express. She doesn’t interject herself and doesn’t try to end things. She’s on her latest victim’s trail, a witch hunter. Oh, how godly these heathens think they are. It seems like it’ll be just another senseless massacre, but then she sees her. There is something about the girl that makes her pause. Perhaps a shadow of a memory of a life she once lived. Whatever it happens to be she knows she can’t leave this one behind. Knows she won’t let her life be ended. It’s easy enough to enter the jail cell, waiting for her, helpless as if she couldn’t rip everyone here to shreds. Like she couldn’t save her without making her like herself. She’s selfish, and the feeling of a lingering connection makes her want to keep her, to teach her. Let her take her revenge as she takes her own. So she feeds her from her wrist and offers for her to trust her.

The massacre in her turning is delicious. and she wonders when it was that bloodshed became so euphoric, and how she can condone what she first thought sinful. She soon finds that her fledgling doesn’t feel exactly the same, it calls to a softer part of her, and the protectiveness over her grows. They are bonded, she feels Emily deep in her chest, in her bones. Their souls entwined. The night she loses her leaves a shadow she isn't sure she'll ever survive.

It's late, they've been out, Daniella wanting to try and coax her into feeding more than Emily usually would. The girl preferring to take far less than she should. Would rather sit at home by the fire light and read her books, and scribble down her thoughts. They're ambushed, at first the blonde thinks it just a group of drunken men. But no, it's a hunting party and they've become the prey. She tries her hardest, struggles against their hold, fights to save her last shred of humanity. Her Emily. As she watches the light fade from her eyes a monstrous rage fills the older vampire, ripping from her confines and ripping the men to shreds. It's then that her hatred grows. And the hunters as a whole must be made to pay.

Port Liery is where she tracks her newest kill. A man by the name Rex Clayton, the last she tells herself. So she comes to the town, finds the man, and starts fashioning how she can draw this last one out.

Wanted Plots - 

Hunters - Possible hunters that have researched her past killings perhaps. And thus brings up some kind of conflict with her, kind of a constant battle both best one another to the point of a game. Savior complex - A possible chance for her to save a muse, possibly turn another and see how it would affect the ghost of her long lost bonded. A fling - Open to any species, even hunters. Someone who sparks interest in her, whether for feeding, or romantic interests. Possible bloodlines - A muse that is possibly from Daniella’s own bloodline, maybe they spark some source of familiarity to her.

Ford is Soleil's older brother who chose to stay back at the farmhouse while she moved out to the city. He is a former marine who fought in the 2000s, and retired in early 2010s. To keep himself busy, he tends to his family's farm estate and also helps his father by working his ferry business from time to time. He is a man of few words and can come off incredibly coarse initially, but once he opens up, he's a lot more comfortable being himself. He has always dreamt of leaving town just as much as Soleil has, though is extremely devoted to taking care of his family, especially since his mother has gotten sick over the years.

Deep down, beyond his brooding exterior, Ford has a big heart and would absolutely take a bullet for anyone. His relationship with his sister has become complicated over the years and he has noticed more and more how opposite they are. If anything, though, he has interpreted their differences to mean that she has always been meant for something bigger than living at the farm.
