Farid Basharat takes UD over Da'Mon Blackshear
A late scare there as Blackshear locked up a triangle with like 15 seconds left on the clock. Had it in pretty deep too but Basharat did a fine job of creating space to meet the bell.
I like both guys. There’s a lot to like about both. Blackshear has a lot of physicality to his game. Doesn’t seem to get tired seeing as he’s throwing up triangles after 15 minutes of fighting. Would like to see him with a proper striking coach to really work that out. Basharat is also well rounded but a tad too passive imo. He’s got great all around skills. Fought off and got his takedowns really well. But the way he strikes means he’s reacting a lot which I don’t like for him. Especially since he doesn’t seem to be a big puncher.

Farid Basharat: A Fighter for Tradition and Values
In a world of shifting ideologies and evolving norms, the voice of Farid Basharat emerges as a steadfast advocate for tradition and timeless values. With eloquence and conviction, Basharat has carved a niche for himself as a fighter for the preservation of cultural heritage, religious principles, and established norms. His unwavering commitment to these ideals has sparked both admiration and debate, making him a prominent figure in contemporary discussions about the role of tradition in the modern era.
Farid Basharat's journey as a fighter for tradition began in his early years. Born into a family deeply rooted in their cultural and religious heritage, Basharat imbibed the wisdom and values passed down through generations. He recognized that these traditions, often dismissed as archaic by some, held the keys to maintaining a sense of identity and continuity in an ever-changing world. As he matured, Basharat's conviction to protect these ideals grew stronger, propelling him into the limelight as a vocal defender of tradition.
One of Basharat's core arguments revolves around the idea that traditions serve as the glue that holds societies together. In an era where rapid globalization and technological advancements can erode cultural boundaries, he contends that maintaining traditions is essential to fostering a sense of community and shared values. Basharat's supporters laud him for his dedication to this cause, seeing in him a champion who recognizes that the past can provide valuable lessons for the present and future.
Critics, however, argue that clinging too tightly to tradition can hinder progress and inclusivity. They challenge Basharat's stance, pointing out instances where traditional beliefs have perpetuated discrimination or inequality. But Basharat's response is measured; he acknowledges that not all traditions are infallible, but he advocates for a discerning approach that separates the essence of tradition from its potential flaws. He maintains that while change is inevitable, it must be navigated with care and respect for the values that have stood the test of time.
Basharat's advocacy extends beyond speeches and writings. He actively engages in dialogues with those who hold differing viewpoints, fostering an atmosphere of intellectual exchange rather than confrontation. This approach has earned him respect even from those who disagree with him. By maintaining an open mind and welcoming debate, Basharat showcases the qualities of a true fighter for his cause—a fighter who is secure enough in his convictions to engage with opposing perspectives.
His influence is not confined to a single community or region. Basharat's voice resonates with individuals across cultural and religious lines, illustrating the universality of the themes he champions. He has participated in international forums, addressing audiences from diverse backgrounds, and his message consistently underscores the importance of finding common ground and preserving values that bind humanity together.
Farid Basharat's advocacy for tradition and values is not without its challenges. In an era where novelty often captures attention, his unwavering commitment to longstanding principles can be seen as a hard sell. Yet, he perseveres, recognizing that the fight to preserve tradition is not about resisting change but rather about balancing it with wisdom and respect for the past.
As society navigates the complexities of modernity, the voice of Farid Basharat reminds us that embracing tradition does not equate to stagnation. Instead, it's a way to infuse the present with the wisdom of the past, creating a more holistic and enduring foundation for the future. His role as a fighter for tradition serves as an essential counterbalance in the ongoing discourse about progress and continuity.
In the tapestry of contemporary thought, Farid Basharat's voice stands out as a fighter for tradition and values, a reminder that while change is inevitable, the preservation of our cultural and moral heritage is equally vital. Through his advocacy, he continues to shape conversations, encourage dialogue, and inspire individuals to reflect on the role of tradition in shaping our identities and societies. In a world that often values the novel, Basharat's steadfast dedication to preserving what is timeless is a testament to the enduring power of conviction and the potential for tradition to serve as a guiding light in an ever-evolving world.

Farid Basharat takes UD over Taylor Lapilus.
Not a terribly exciting bout but a good scrap between two very skilled bantamweights. I really like Taylor. Dude has a lot of skills and you can see why I was so high on the dude back in like 2016 during his first run in the UFC. But the game has caught up with him. It's not good enough to have good TDD and sharp striking skills. You have to make people pay for trying to shoot on you. You have to be able to keep guys off of you. He's got a lot of elements of a Leon Edward, but unlike Leon, Lapilus is no longer big for 135lbs either.
Great persistence from Basharat. Him and his brother are some extremely well rounded fighters for being this early into their careers. They have a nice mix of skills that play off one another and their patience is beyond their years.

Farid Basharat submits Kleydson Rodrigues via arm triangle in the 1st!
Weird match up from the matchmakers. I like Kleydson. Guy is an ATHLETE. You even saw some of it here. The head kick he landed in the opening seconds of the fight. The powerful hammerfist he landed as Basharat worked to table off that single leg. Him exploding up from guard. But the second people offer up resistance, he seems really loss for what to do.
Basharat is durable, well rounded, and patient. He never rushed anything but he was opportunistic. Shot a takedown off a kick from Rorigues that Rodrigues was able to sprawl on, but got taken down anyway as Basharat caught his hips as Rodrigues tried to spin to the back. He worked for position from top control. Got to mount and didn't get discouraged when Rodrigues bucked him off. He went right back to it with the single leg attack. Got back to mount and got the arm triangle locked in.
For Kleydson, the man needs cage time. Too many first round finishes. Maybe he need it outside the UFC but there are plenty of guys at the bottom of the UFC 135lb division that should be able to withstand the initial storm. I just hope he doesn't try to go back down to 125. He looked terrible (physically).
For Basharat, I hope he gets a step up. That's two good wins to his name inside the UFC and one of the guy he beat is out here having really competitive fights with guys way up the pyramid from where Rodrigues is. A guy like Douglas Silva de Andrade or Miles Johns.

Farid Basharat vs. Raul Guzman - War of Titans 2
Afghan fighter Farid Basharat (10-0) came into the UFC and won a very good, competitive fight with Da'Mon Blackshear. That's pretty hard to do as Blackshear has shown himself to be a very good fighter over his short stint in the UFC. Basharat hasn't fought since but he'll be back in action this week. The 5'8 bantamweight will look for his 2nd win when he faces off with former flyweight Kleydson Rodrigues (8-2).
The two will square off at UFC Fight Night Paris this Saturday (Sept. 2).
