I was very confused too when I went to read Juan’s biography on the Wiki after seeing your post because the vast majority of it, to my knowledge, is indeed never mentioned in the game...

But I did some research and found out where that information came from: the “Yara Traveling Guide”, a promotional book released by Ubisoft China as a pre-order item and limited to 2,000 copies, according to this post on Reddit which also provides pictures and translations.

I don’t know how canonical the book is, but at least, it explains Juan’s seemingly totally made-up biography!

uhhh i log back on to read the far cry wiki bc i need info for my upcoming fics and apparently juan has a son now?????? like juan jr (according to the wiki) and he’s killed by espinosa

like don’t get me wrong some things are really inaccurate on the wiki but some aren’t half bad depending on which far cry it is and which character.

i usually get my info in the game when i find it myself but i’m too busy with study to play for long periods and go looking for notes and lore on the game.

i’m pretty sure most of his page is wrong, like his year of birth says 1960 but how can he be seven if he’s affiliated with fighting alongside the legends in 67’

can someone help 😭 does he actually have a kid (and it’s proven by ubi in either the game, comics or some other post) or is it just a head canon someone made and put it in the wiki

also if it is false is anyone actually genuinely interested in some of the timelines i’ve tried to make for characters using what notes are found in the game !? i feel like all the other far cry games have decent wikis and i wanna actually put accurate stuff in there for 6 too
