Fandom Problem #5316:

I've been through harsher fandoms before, where I could make two of three friends who would read my fics and brainrot about my blorbos with me, even when they were very, VERY hated characters. I was happy with it. But now I'm in a super nice and friendly fandom where no character is hated too much and everyone will have a supportive word about how my ideas are valid, and that I should be having fun writing and enjoying my faves, but... No one really reads my fics, and no one talks about my blorbos with me. It makes me feel like shit and I'm often trying to explain to people why I feel so bad even when they're so supportive with me, but in the end I feel like I'm just being ungrateful.

(I know I should write for myself and all, but whenever I join a fandom my expectations are to find at least one or two people to share ideas with because in my mind, fandom is a social activity. What's the point of trying to socialize when you end up doing your things alone anyway?)
