Fandom Problem #5169:

Pretty annoying how people treat "Mario & Luigi" as the name of the Mario franchise in general, which means that finding stuff for the RPG spin-off series actually titled "Mario & Luigi" is next to impossible, and when you finally find some Mario & Luigi fan stuff, it's always way more dark and serious than the main series, even though Mario & Luigi is one of the silliest parts of the franchise. Like, I know, beggars can't be choosers, but I'm not even getting what I'm asking for, which is Mario & Luigi fan stuff that scratches that Mario & Luigi itch!

Also, one of Fawful's most consistent traits in fan stuff, more than his iconic speech patterns or mastery of psychological manipulation, is his continued devotion to Cackletta throughout the series, even though in canon, he had an entire speech about how he doesn't need her and wants to be his own boss before you fight him the second time in his debut, which is also the only game Cackletta's in.

Even always saw his life like an April day—bold, bright, happy. The summer before his senior year of university is all sunshine and blue skies. He has sweet parents who show him what a loving marriage looks like; a beautiful girlfriend who teaches him how to be a better version of himself; and wonderful friends who are always around to fill his days with light—even if that does mean that sometimes he must endure the presence of one Isak Valtersen.

But then the clouds start rolling in, and blue skies turn to grey. When Sonja is offered an internship in the U.S. for nine months, she suggests something that nearly breaks his heart: a temporary open relationship for the duration of her time abroad. Even doesn't want anyone else, but in order to keep her, he agrees to the proposal and the rules she puts in place: 1) No discussing hookups with each other; 2) Even can't fool around with Sonja’s friends; 3) No unprotected sex; 4) Don't form romantic attachments with anyone else.

The rules don't seem to be a problem. But the longer Sonja is away, the more he is forced to get to know Isak. And when the walls finally come down between he and Isak, he realizes that the rules will be a problem—one in particular: Rule #4.
