can you write an nsfw where there’s like this ‘mating ritual’ where when a two na’vi want to mate the male must earn his woman by being able to successfully catch her/hunt her down as she runs away and tries not to be caught? so in this nsfw neteyam is hunting his soon to be mate and there’s lots of teasing but eventually he catches her and they mate? love your writing x
STOP THAT IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA Y'ALL ARE JUST TOO CREATIVE FOR THIS WORLD OMG
yes ofc i can!! and tysm i appreciate it xx
pairing: neteyam x omaticayan!reader - aged up (23 + 22)
content warnings: sexual content, queues connecting, p-in-v, neteyam being an experienced boi caused he's older and KNOWS his way around the bedroom, slight breeding kink, this ritual is completely fan-made as far as I'm aware!! I'm only following from what this person has written.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your feet thudded on the soft dirt floor of the forest as you ran through it, dodging and weaving tree stumps and the smaller animals of your home. The faint smell of sweat hung in the air from the effort, the sound of Neteyam's breath expelling and inhaling in ease, his strong body staying close behind you.
You sped up as you ran past a bend in the path Neteyam had been chasing you through for the past 10 minutes, as a part of the People's mating ritual. It was very traditional and slightly outdated, but with everything you and Neteyam had been through in the war with the Sky People, you wanted to make a big fuss over the mating, to make it special.
Since the time of the First Songs, it was the option for a male and female about to mate to begin The Hunt; a mating ritual in which the female was to run from her partner, until they caught up to each other, where they then mate for life. Again, some would call it silly. But after Neteyam's fierce and horrific encounters with death throughout the war - all you wanted was something to commerate it.
He was gaining on you - drawing closer and closer as you got more tired, legs aching and heavy - anticipation also causing you to decelerate. Neteyam's warrior frame stayed steady compared to your singer's body. While some females chose the path of warriors, healers, hunters, you chose to sing. Singing the words of Eywa was honourable, and made you feel closer to her and the People, but it didn't bless you with the powerful musculature others had developed. It made you feel so guilty during the War, when you had to stay back and sit around worriedly in missions because it was more dangerous for you than useful. You were a liability.
The thoughts were a useless spiral, so you shook them away, right as Neteyam reached you and wrapped his arms around your waist and tackled you to the dirt ground.
"Nete-YAM!" you squealed as you tumbled and he began tickling you.
"Stop!" you breathe-screamed in between giggles.
"What was that? Keep going?" He said, relentless. One of his large hands held both of yours together as he kept going.
"Neteyam! You skxawng!" You screamed again, abs hurting as you panted.
He was also smiling, but he let go of your hands and rose, so he was on his knees as he pulled you up as well. The grin had now softened, his eyes boring into your very soul, every thought, every movement, every heartbeat.
In an unexplained unison, you both reach behind for your queues, eyes still focused on each other with bated breath.
"My Yawne," my beloved, he mumured so quietly you almost couldn't hear him. You both brought the tips of your braids together and watched as they made Tsaheylu.
"Neteyam," you breathed out the air you had been holding in your lungs, and he gasped, eyes fluttering. He groaned and put his head down on the crook of your neck, heaving.
The swell of everything; his soul mixing with yours in a swirl of heat and love and passion, all blending together in harmony, like the ocean meets the sky and the earth meets the rain. A compliment, a perfect fit.
You lightly grabbed his face, bringing his lips to touch yours, heavy and full of lust.
Neteyam ended up on top of you again, but this time his face was sultry and focused. He kissed your cheek, your neck, your lips, and continued down. He worshipped you. The valley between your now bare breasts, your stomach, your thighs, and the bundle of nerves sitting in between them.
It wasn't like you both were inexperienced in any way. There were stolen moments over the years throughout the chaos of war, a silence in the midst of a storm. It had given you both the opportunity to learn and experiment with each other, which had allowed you to figure out what you liked, and the same for Neteyam. But you couldn't deal with him taking it slow now, not when all you wanted to do was touch every inch of his body, to calm the overwhelming feeling of everything swirling inside you. You knew Neteyam was only going painfully slow because he knew this, and he felt the same.
"Tease," you huffed, grabbing his jaw desperately and kissing him fiercly. He chuckled, kissing you back.
"You want it, do you?" He asked in between kisses. You whined, arching into him.
"Nuh uh," he said, pulling back and going to speak in your ear, his voice and breath in your ear sending shivers down your whole body.
"Use your words," he said, left hand dragging up your torso and breasts, drawing lazy circles that turned you to jelly beneath him.
"I want you inside me, Neteyam," you choke out, just as his hand reaches the wetness between your legs.
"Oh yeah?" He moved his loincloth and your own, positioning his cock right at your entrance, again teasing you even as you clawed at his back and tried to pull him closer to you, craving contact. He resisted.
"Yes. Neteyam- please," you said tremulously.
"Well, since you used your manners..." he brought one of his hands down and guided himself in you, the thickness of him stretching your folds, as he had done many times before, but has never ceased to drive you mad.
He started off painfully slow, moving in and out of your wet cunt. You moaned, planting both hands at the back of his neck so your foreheads were touching.
"Faster," you whispered, and he obliged, pounding in an out of you. Your eyes rolled into the back of your head as your eyes fluttered closed. He was kissing your neck, and you knew you would be left with purple marks on your already blue skin.
Neteyam groaned, a sound that immediately deepend your pleasure, bringing you up higher and higher to reach your peak.
"Come on," he said your name while he moved in you, you writhing and grasping at anything to hold on to.
"That's it, baby. You're almost there, just a little more for me," you mewled and cried out, finally reaching your climax.
The dizzying satisfaction you felt was drawn out as Neteyam sped up to also reach his addictive high, spilling his seed into your dripping pussy.

lo'ak and neteyam headcannons - random tid bits and some relationship stuff (sfw) ୨୧𓂅⊹⋆
i know it's been a hot minute since i last released content but anyways here are some headcannons absolutely no one asked for
okay so i've been adding more and more to this every time i think of it but this is basically little bits things that i've been adding more and more to over time - nothing explicit! i like writing fluff better ngl
neteyam
he's suupperrr clingy when you're lying in ur hammock together, like bro will not let go of you
he knows all the words to taylor swift's all to well 10 min version AND IS PROUD OF IT
he likes to come up behind you and tug on your tail - you PRETEND it freaks you out but you both know that isn't true
he is a l w a y s worried about his siblings - lo'ak the most but he is so protectove of tuk and kiri it drives them nuts
he loves the intimacy of you healing him - like you getting really close and having to sit on his lap and clean his cuts sometimes, he feels so connected to you
he tips really well. you guys could've spent like 10 dollars at a restaurant but he tips like 50 bucks - "i'm too lazy to do math rn"
he's such a grandpa he goes to sleep at 9:30 and wakes up at 6:30 without fail every night and STILL takes naps throughout the day
lo'ak
if you guys are hanging out in a group and he's talking and you're watching him, every time he catches your eye HE STARTS STUTTERING A LOSING HIS TRAIN OF THOUGHT
his ikran is super sassy like every time he decides to do something stupid his ikran goes faster than intended and scares the absolute balls out of lo'ak just to teach him a lesson
lo'ak can n e v e r keep still - he's the type to just always be fiddling or squirming around
he's actually the biggest sap ever, his favourite movie is the Notebook and it makes him cry every time
he would never tell you because he thinks it's cringe asf, but sometimes he purposely injures himself just so you can heal him, he likes how worried you are about him and how you lovingly scold him for being an idiot
this is super short ik but it's genuinely all i have the time and energy for atm, enjoy ily all xx

The reader and Neteyam finally become a couple and Lo’ak thinks that Neteyam is stealing his best friend. In the end all is forgiven and they all live in harmony.
finally getting to this request!! sorry it's taken so longg
Lo'ak's best friend (part 1, sfw)
pairing: neteyam x omaticayan!fem reader
content warnings: reader YEARNS for neteyam, and a tense moment between them
this fic series will have no smut between neteyam and the reader. it's going to be a cute and wholesome teen romance :)
“You’re getting too close!” you called out to Lo’ak as he ducked and weaved under and around you and your Ikran, teasing and taunting you both. His beast was just as cheeky as he was, sending your more skittish partner in a distress. “Shhh Tswake,” you soothed, stroking the smooth leathery skin of her neck. “Let’s teach them a lesson.”
In an unspoken command, Tswake dived, the wind slapping on your face and stinging your eyes. You just avoided one of the floating mountains ahead, though Lo’ak had no such luck. “Shit!” He exclaimed at the same time his ikran let out a head-splitting shriek, the sound of wings and bodies making contact with hard earth. You chuckled triumphantly, the wind now calming on your features as you both leveled out and slowed. You could hear and see other banshees and their riders flying around you, looking at you with disdain at the disruption of their previously peaceful evening ride. You smiled to yourself. It wasn’t uncommon for you and Lo’ak to be getting yourselves in some form of danger or trouble, it came with the territory of being the best friend of the Olo’eyktan’s son. It was hard for Lo’ak to live up to his father’s impossible standards, so you took it upon yourself to help him forget, even for a little bit. It was the habit of many people in the clan to assume you were promised to each other, but it wasn’t like that, it couldn’t be. Not when your heart and mind and soul was consumed with another.
You had accepted long ago that - for Lo’ak’s sake - you would never have what you truly wanted, or who. It didn’t matter, anyway, mating wasn’t always for love, you knew you could be content with mating with a respectable male and having children to fill your life with joy and happiness. But somewhere, deep down, a part of your heart ached, and you knew that feeling would linger.
The sound of Lo’ak and his ikran snapped you out of your melancholy: “that was not funny,” he said with feigned upset.
You grinned back at him, “that’s what you get for pissing us off, Lo’ak.”
“You know damn well it was Taw’s idea just as much as it was mine,” it was true, Lo’ak’s banshee was very much trying to gain the affections of your own, but Tswake was having none of it. Your previous thoughts had once again reappeared in the front of your mind, causing your smile to falter and your eyes to turn away from your friend and instead to the floating mountains ahead. You tried to focus on the air, the sun, anything else, but nothing could distract you from the rope pulling and constricting at your lungs. Lo’ak caught the change instantly.
“Are you alright?” he said your name, his eyes and voice etched with worry.
You didn’t look at him, “yes, of course.”
He didn’t leave it alone, “come on, you know you can talk to me. Tell me.”
You sighed heavily, both of you ducking underneath vines hanging off of nearby rocks as you flew, the sun warming your face, “it’s nothing, really. I just feel like… I mean, as we’re getting older, there have been…” Eywa, you felt stupid saying this to him. You paused, trying to gether your thoughts into a coherent way to recount to Lo’ak, who continued to soar alongside you.
“There have been expectations, Lo’ak. For me to choose, to mate. Not with you, of course,” you added hurriedly when you saw his frown. “I just feel as if there is no one truly out there for me, that I will never be able to mate for love.” You didn’t mention who, specifically, was on your mind. You knew how Lo’ak would act if he found out.
“Oh,” he said, his eye brows furrowing together again.
“I know, it’s stupid. We’re both still young and I shouldn’t worry myself with this sort of shit but I-”
“No,” he interrupts, stopping your anxious babble. “I get it. Dad’s always telling ‘Teyam and I to ‘start thinking about it,’” the thought of Neteyam thinking about people he would consider mating had your stomach twisting in an unbearable knot. Lo’ak went on, “but it’s not like it would be hard for you to find a mate,” you looked at your best friend, really looked at him, and he wasn’t mocking you, he saw how much emotional turmoil you were in and he was answering genuinely. He really believed you wouldn’t - and couldn’t - struggle in the process of building a family of your own. If only he knew.
“You think so?”
He grinned at you, “well, if they don’t end up figuring out about how annoying you are and how bad your breath smells.”
Aaand there it was. The real Lo’ak was back. You pursed your lips together to contain your smile, as you and your ikran dove down to the clearing for you both to dismount and go to Hometree for mealtime.
The tree of your home was a generous hue of colours; cool greens, blues, and purples illuminating the area around you in a comforting embrace. A light chatter of your tsmukan (clan) under the three moons grounded you, steeling you as you and Lo’ak walked towards where his siblings were sitting, Neteyam eating and teasing Kiri in his good-humoured way. Your heart thundered, pulse fluttering infuriatingly. This was stupid! You needed to get over yourself, it was never gonna happen.
Lo’ak nudged your arm with his own, bringing you fully back into what was happening around you, instead of your attention staying on the boy who’s regard had shifted from his sister to you. And Lo’ak. You and Lo’ak. There was no way he cared enough to be looking at only you. You reminded yourself of this as you began to rattle on casually with the other Na’vi your age you passed that sat near Hometree, a “hello” here, a “how are you?” there.
“I still do not understand why you talk with them,” Kiri said to you as you took your place next to her, pretending to be enthralled by her comment in order to not let your traitorous gaze to shoot to Neteyam and stay there. Embarrassing.
Kiri was around half an inch shorter than you, but a million times more feisty. You prided yourself in being friendly to everyone because of you hatred for confrontation, but Kiri was unashamed in her opinions of others. You admired it, to be able to speak what she felt about anything and everything, though you knew she felt just as out of place amongst those your age as you did. Just like her mother, you were told.
You chuckled at her cynicism. “Why wouldn’t I? They’re not all bad.”
She looked at you, unimpressed. “They are a group of boring idiots, every time they open their mouths my ears bleed.” Her candor was a bit exaggerated, but it was truthful. It was almost impossible to have any real conversation with the teenage Na’vi, their talk was so surface-level and… bland. You would never admit it, but you agreed with her. But before you could answer, the oldest of the Sully’s said something first.
“You are just mad that everyone is scared of you and we are your only friends,” Neteyam said it with a smile, purposely trying to get a reaction out of Kiri. His eyes flicked from you to his younger sister, almost as if to catch your reaction. You stifled a laugh.
“I’d rather them to be afraid of me if that meant I never actually had to talk to them,” Kiri snapped back to her brother, playing right into his hands.
“Says the healer! You’ll have to talk them if you become a healer with grandmother,” Lo’ak said, laughing.
You understood both of their points, but Neteyam and Lo’ak didn’t struggle in the same way you and Kiri did. Everyone liked them. They could make friends and talk to anyone, it was just the way they were. You said this to them, looking at Neteyam as you did. He huffed a laugh as he took a bite of his meal.
“First of all, not everyone likes me. And second of all, everyone loves you, I don’t think you actually struggle with getting anyone to like you.” His eyes burned into you, and even though Kiri had kept talking, you just stared at him, taking no notice of what your friend beside you was saying. He stared right back, unabashedly. You had been tense and nervous since you first saw him tonight, but now you thought your heart would beat so fast it would rip straight from your chest for everyone to see how much he affected you. It was not as if you’d never made eye contact with each other before, that sort of thing was unavoidable. This, this was different. There was a new weight to the way you looked at each other now, something you had never felt before. It made you want to get up and run away into the trees and scream. The look he gave you was a taught thread, wrapping around your neck and depriving you of all air. Did he really mean that? Everyone loves you. It was the first time he said anything like that to you before, and you didn’t know how to feel about it. By now, that bravery and easy-going way about about you that sat within you like a warm body of water had shriveled and dried up, leaving your mouth dry and head muddled.
You heard your name, and your mind that had zeroed in on the boy across from you instantly came back to take what was happening around you. Kiri was looking at you confusion and unease settled in her features. She said your name again, “are you alright?” You looked at her for a second, struggling to find an excuse for why you had stopped talking and was staring at her brother.
Eywa. Did they notice? Did they think you were being weird? Your cheeks heated, giving your blue skin a warm hue as you said, “what? Yeah, I’m fine.” Was Neteyam still looking at you? You weren’t gonna risk it.
Kiri and Lo’ak had now joined Neteyem at staring at you, and you saw your best friend looking between you and Neteyam. Crap. He really never misses a thing. His brows were bunched together, ears downturned and mouth clamped shut, his jaw flicked with tension. He couldn’t have known. You prayed to Eywa he didn’t actually see know anything.
“Are you sure?” Kiri asked. If she saw as much as Lo’ak did, she wasn’t going to say anything, and her face betrayed nothing to you.
You went to reassure her that you were, when Lo’ak answered for you, “she’s tired. It’s been a long day, Kiri.”
I looked at him, my eyes searching his. You looked at Kiri, who was waiting for your answer, and then at him. He was still looking at you. Before that confusing tense energy could take hold of your mind and heart, you quickly answered Kiri.
“I’m fine, Kiri, I think I’m just gonna go to bed.” You gave her a smile that didn’t quite reach your eyes as you rose from your seated position.
You left the group, and you could feel their eyes on you as you walked away, but you refused to turn back to confirm your suspicion. You kept walking until you were out of their sight. As soon as you were alone, your thoughts all bubbled over like an over-boiled kettle. You knew that all these thoughts and questions will have you up late tonight, running through and over thinking every second you were there. Mealtime with the Sully’s was usually so easy and… fun. But now, something had changed.
He had changed.

eye-opening ~ part. 2 (sfw)
neteyam x omaticayan reader
in y/n's POV this time!
synopsis: you don't know what is going on between you and neteyam - so you plan to find out.
a/n: i'm sorry if y'all were waiting so long i'm a very popular and busy gyal - please enjoy there WILL be more to come from these two :)
Home is finite. Home isn’t always a place. It could be a person, a thing, an emotion. Had I always a place to sleep, a place to take cover in danger? Yes. But I had never felt truly at home with someone, never felt I was able to go to someone with anything and not feel judged. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. I’m only 18. I have time.
I lay resetlessly in my hammock, my most recent interaction with Neteyam replaying in my mind. I had tried to pretend that my - very obviously planned out by mother - instruction to hunt with the male did not make me want to die. Every time he looked at me, my pulse beat at an alarming rate. He was so damn perfect it wasn’t fair. I spent virtually the entire journey trying to figure out something to say. I so desperately hoped Neteyam would just break the silence with one of his stupidly cute quips or teases, but he stayed just as silent as I did. As I usually do, I quickly began thinking of all the reasons for this. Does he hate me? Does he know of my feelings?
These thoughts quickly dissipated soon after, every touch of skin on skin set me alight. In those few seconds we stared at each other, I attempted to ingrain all his forever pleasing features into my brain, his bioluminescent freckles like I took some paint and marked all my favourite parts of him - his nose, his eyes, his mouth, his neck, his back, his shoulders - the list was endless.
It’s been a week, and we have not spoken since. With ours being such a tight-knit clan, it was impossible to avoid him and his presence. We didn’t speak when we saw each other, only stealing quick glances every now and then. I didn’t know what to do. He had never showed interest in me before other than being purely platonic, only thinking of me as his sister’s friend that he liked to mess with. I had thought of him the same way - even if I had had a small crush on him when I was young - until now, when his arms and legs turned from boyish lank to lean muscle, soft child-like facial features morphing into mature angles and a sharp jawline. The face and body of a future Olo’eyktan. To be honest, I had absolutely no clue how he thought of me. Our most recent exchange had left me confused. I came to the conclusion that i had to talk to him, even if it didn’t go well. Even if he shattered my heart into a million tiny pieces. I had to find out what this new and familiar tension meant.
Everyone was sitting all around Hometree, chatter of the People in Na’vi and the smell of our native foods in the background. I spotted Neteyam. He sat right up near the base of the sacred tree, eating silently with his siblings and parents around him. I made my way over to him, carefully stepping over people, trying to avoid their tails and feet as I did so.
Before I reached him, his eyes were already set, I could feel them burning into me. Looking straight through and seeing everything. I schooled my face into calm as I spoke to my Olo’eyktan, his own eyes watching me with a spirited curiosity.
“Oel ngati kameie,” I said gesturing to him and his mate, both of them returning the favour. I turned my face slightly to right to make eye contact with Neteyam. My breath caught as I found him already staring at me. Nothing had ever taken more effort in my life to keep myself tamed, my features relaxed. I actioned the sign of respect to the boy, he did the same. “ I need to talk to you,” I said with a peaceful smile, my head flicking back in direction. I almost felt bad for pretending that I was not screaming internally, but I did not know what else to do in front of everyone. I thought I heard his siblings - Lo’ak and Kiri - whispering and snickering next to us, seated and watching with amusement.
Neteyam shot to his feet. “Yes! Of course,” he said quickly.
We walked wordlessly away from Hometree, the feeling of my bare feet walking along the ground, the sounds of my home’s fauna calling out in the light of eclipse kept me grounded and sane as I worked my way through every possible way this conversation could go. As I thought through them, I realised with a sickening jolt that there were more ways this could go wrong than it could any way else. It’s fine, I thought, at least by then we’d know.
Once we reached a flat patch of grass, far away from anyone within earshot, I turned around to see Neteyam behind me, his hazel eyes fixated on me still, locked in a trance he snapped out of as soon as i was facing him. Those looks. Those looks that sent my mind spinning.
We looked at each other, me standing with my arms crossed, mellowed facade dropped. Neteyam opened his mouth, hesistant.
“So you- um, you wanted to talk to-”
“What the hell was that?” I asked. His gorgeous face tightened and bunched together. He knew what I meant.
“What do you- uh-”
“You need to stop it.” I said. He winced, as if he expected for me to say something like that. He didn’t go to say anything, so I continued.
“You need to stop confusing me with your stupid looks and your stupid pretty face and your stupid body and just- stop!” I dropped my arms from being crossed, now both of them stiff next to me.
Neteyam’s face wasn’t pinched anymore, his eyes searching mine. His mouth twitched and turned into one of his arrogant smirks.
“You think my face is pretty?” He said with an amused tone, the first real thing he’s said to me in a week. He grinned at me, eyes flicking down at my lips for a split second.
“Ugh shut up,” I said, making the distance between us and wrapping my arms around his neck in a bone-crushing hug.
I wanted to do more, and I could feel that Neteyam did too. I squeezed the boy tightly before releasing him a bit, arms lingering on his shoulders and neck. His large hands were seated at my waist, and I ached for him to touch me all over. To touch me everywhere he wanted to. Neteyam’s adam’s apple bobbed up and down as he swallowed.
“Can I kiss you?” He asked, the question covering his face in a new expression. He was making sure I actually wanted this.
I couldn’t bear it anymore, I planted both hands on either side of his face.
“Yes, you skxawng!” I exclaim, and pressed my lips to his.
It was electric. A missing part of my soul had finally come alive. The heat of our bodies and mouths began matching each other’s as my hands raked through his hair and his strong arms wrapped tightly around my waist, holding me securely against him.
