One of my favorites is @ilmacore 's Maria. Blessed adorable abuelita Yuu.

I have four currently rolling around in my head. Each one is based on a type of genre.

The first is chubby!Yuu, the shoujo/magical girl type. My darling lil chubby gal who is another member of the sunshine team. The best damn support these boys will have. Her nickname from Floyd would be capybara(I originally had it as manatee but capybara fits her more because she's genuinely nice and tries to get along with everybody). I see her wearing a lot of cottage core, florals, etc... soft feminine clothing. Her ending would have her finding a way back home but being able to travel back and forth between Twst and her home world. You can guess which boy(or boys) might have a crush on her based on these pics.

The next one I call punk!Yuu. The one who fits the shonen archetype. Had a shitty life growing up and was a homeless teen. They ended up in Twst after dying from being hit by a car. Most likely to throw hands for pissing them off. Floyd calls them pistol shrimp. Climbed on and smashed the head of an overblot. Threw Jade at Floyd during book 2's investigation. Protective of those they care about. Lots of piercing and punk style clothing. My favorite ship with them is actually Riddle. Very opposites attract situation. But they have a lot in common(Yuu's father was a worse version of Riddle's mother) Yuu teaches Riddle to live life more freely, and Riddle teaches them to be less rebellious. This Yuu stays in Twst when they find out the truth of how they got there because they're genuinely happier then they ever were back home.

The third Yuu is adopted!Yuu. The one from my previous musings. A Yuu that fits the reincarnated! Archetype. This Yuu originally died in the bad ending timeline where Yuu overblots and becomes a calamity class monster who destroys the world. They were given a second chance at life when they finally died in the first timeline. They reincarnated as an infant and was adopted by Crowley. This Yuu is fairly mellow, when asked why they did something the answer is just they felt like it, but is also good at pulling at Crowley's strings to get what they want. They have a preference for loose, casual clothing. Preferring to wear things like oversized t-shirts and hoodies. Their ending is they almost repeat the calamity when their past life memories begin to overtake their current life after all the overblots including Grim's. But the difference is the previous life Yuu has nobody, but this Yuu has their friends, Grim, and Crowley to save them.

The fourth Yuu I call Author!Yuu. They're pretty much a Yuu who gained so much magical power they became the equivalent of a god. Because they were the first anomaly, they don't age at all and have lived thousands of years accumulating magic and knowledge, even out living Malleus. Their life is lonely and they actually don't want to see another person end up like them. Their magic allows them to manipulate the timelines within a certain limitation. They can't rewrite timelines completely, but they figure out a loophole by finding the alternate versions of themselves they think will give the best outcome for the "story" of the world. This Yuu is the one who figured out the precognitive dreams system to help each Yuu out. This version of Yuu exists in a world where ALL the stories of Twst are true. Fanfics, fanart, game, manga, novel, etc... every story is its own world and this Yuu records every one of them within their great library. Every book in the library of their soul is a story somebody has written about the world of Twst.

Every writer on Tumblr: “I would combust out of love if someone ever drew fanart of my fic!!” Me: “oh man I wanna draw this scene BUT THEY WOULD PROBABLY HATE IT AND HATE ME FOR THE NERVE”

Complex feelings and absolute pandemonium about my mental health aside- going back to reread and look at old posts to relive memories (mostly the very bad cuz I was not a good person when I was in the fandom and am beyond embarrassed about it-) has been an absolute disaster of a healing journey.

May be redrawing some old sketches as a checkpoint of that, so comic updates are going to slow.

I ask that everyone remain polite to my wishes and not tag anyone who you see my art addressing. For example if a draw or redraw fanart from a fanfic, do not reblog tagging the author.

Most certainly I am not remembered fondly by those people, and that’s okay.

In my answer to the Donna headcannons ask, I included one very specific relationship headcannon. It’s not a coincidence- that was me. Back when I was part of this fandom during its peak- I was that lil toxic jerk that ruined shit for other people. I have no excuses for this- young and dumb, pretherapy, unknowingly, flat out being stupid- it doesn’t excuse my actions. As much as I wanted to be a good person- I was not- I did good things- but at my core I was rotting. I still am tending to parts of it.

People are going to remember me as that lil toxic jerk. That’s why I hope ya’ll respect my wishes as I redraw old stuff. Everyone deserves to enjoy their passions without someone, something- a memory- ruining it (again) for them.

I’m sharing these redraws because there’s a story here I hope people take inspiration from. Whether the story is about forgiving others for their past mistakes, learning that you’re not alone, or embracing your embarrassments- that’s different for every person. If that story is lost on people, I have every right to delete it all.

And as for that headcannon, Donna has and always will be the person who trekked beside me through this hellscape that is my mind. As I’ve written stories and drawn more where she gets that happy ending, I see a road for myself- as corny as that could have possibly sounded. There are weights I carry that I must learn to let go- memories of people who have come into my life for a season and changed me forever that probably even despise me now- and one of them is going to be Donna eventually.

Eventually.

For now she’s still very much on the forefront of my mind lmao.

The script of the story I want to draw is a.... little stagnant at the moment because I wanted to change something and it impacts more than I thought it would >< I even need an entire extra character- meh, short setback. But uhm, I kinda always had two idea's. One for drawing which script is almost finished (blank period) and the other in writing (Adult SNS, I wish I could draw both tbh.. but that's impossible) and I already wrote so much for that one too. A Sirius/Severus fic with a background of the 'quietly wanting what you shouldn't and/or can't have since you were a teen' variety.AU where Sirius and Severus both live through the Second War with Voldemort and start something together. It's alternating POV, and there's something about the flavour of 'I didn't think I'd live' and 'rebuilding is actually a bit tedious' post-war recovery that feels, in a way, comfortable. In the last chapter, Severus asks Sirius to accompany him to Spinner's End to pick up a few things, and I really like this take on Jewish Severus.

Excerpt one:

The dead windows of his onetime home made him remember the two candles his mother used to light on Friday evenings. There was no shul within walking distance and his parents could rarely afford the journey farther afield, and neither wizarding law nor Tobias would have allowed Eileen to use magic to transport the three of them; perhaps they would not have been particularly observant in any case; but his mother would light candles.

Somehow the ritual always seemed to bring his mother and father closer; then they seemed in alliance with each other. They had known nothing of each other’s worlds when they married, but this they had in common. They never argued on Friday evenings.

Excerpt two:

In the kitchen there were candles in the cupboard under the sink. He took two and set them in their holders on the windowsill. It was long after sundown, but he lit each in turn and, covering his face with one hand, murmured the blessing he remembered.

Always feel blessed whenever I've been on a ship that not very popular but still has so many quality fanfics and fanarts.

Let's bring RK1K for example. I've been on this ship for 4 years now but they still stand strong with their numbers of fics I bookmarked on AO3. Also I've always been a sucker for well-written fics and fortunately RK1K has many of it.

Some of my recommendations:

When lovemaking is really lovemaking. It's slow, gentle and passionate. I love it so much.

This fic still made my heart ached after countless times of re-reading. Also the author's writing is so good, so beautiful.

The angst is good, the conflict in Connor's mind and the dialogues are well-written, and it has a happy ending, the most important of all things 😂
