thoughts on klapollo?

tbh I’m not super into it. Like I get why it’s a ship, and there’s really no one else I’d ship the characters with, but I’m not actively into it, y’know?

It doesn’t give me the same level of joy and substantiality as narumitsu, like something about Phoenix and Miles feels more real and I just don’t really get that from klapollo, but that’s just me. It could be that I project onto both Phoenix and Miles, while I don’t do that really for Apollo and Klavier (save for giving Apollo my silly scrunkly fingers), but yeah idk. So I get why people ship them, and good for them, but I’m just not ever out here thinking about them. I’ll see art of them and it’ll make me think “oh neat” but it won’t make me all “omg!!! Them!! They’re sooo in love!!” the way that art of Phoenix and Miles does. Like I’m not against it, it just doesn’t capture my neurons at all to make anything substantial out of it for me

Hello! We are back with another fandom challenge. We're on the home stretch towards season two of House of the Dragon and the second Big Bang. With this in mind, we wanted to bring the focus of this month's prompts back to the characters we all love so much.

May 6th: Team Black Kids (Laenor, Laena, Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey Velaryon, Baela, Rhaena, Aegon III and Viserys II Targaryen, etc.)

May 13th: Ser Criston Cole and/or Prince Daemon Targaryen

May 20th: Princess/Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and/or Lady/Queen Alicent Hightower

May 27th: Team Green Kids (Aegon, Helaena, Aemond, Daeron, Jaehaerys, Jaehaera, Maelor Targaryen, etc.)

What is this?

To inspire people's creativity we host a month long prompt event once a month. Each week character names will be posted and creatives can use it for inspiration for fics, gifs, artwork - anything you'd like to make!

Please make sure you tag @hotd-bigbang and use the tag "hotd road prompts 24" to ensure we can find your creations and reblog them.

You don't have to participate every week - choose as many as you'd like, and there's no hard deadline - i.e. if by May 13th, you've not created anything for May 6th's prompt, you can still create for that prompt if you'd like to. However, we will be making a round-up post on June 3rd for all creations, so if you miss this date then your work will not make it onto the list.

Title: The Palomino Room

Pairing: Ian/Anthony - ianthony

Rating: Semi spicy (but mostly not until the end)

Summary:

“I have an idea,” Anthony says.

“Oh no.”

Anthony smiles and lets out a laugh, and Ian feels a grin stretch over his face. There’s something about being able to make Anthony laugh, maybe its because the sound of it feels like a childhood memory, gives him a rush of serotonin in his brain, or maybe it’s because he knows what it’s like to have missed the sound, but Ian cherishes making Anthony laugh more than he, or anyone else, really, would know.

“Hear me out,” Anthony says.

Ian nods, setting his hands on his desk and giving Anthony his full attention.

“I was thinking what if you and I go on a trip together?”

Notes: This was written as a commission for the wonderful @shaynesunderstudy who wanted a Hallmark-esque fic where Ian and Anthony are snowed in and wind up sharing a bed! As always their support means the world to me!

WIP Wednesday - The Girl in IT, Pt. 8

I know, I know, I still have to post Pt. 7, but what's a little tease for my babies? As I mentioned in my previous post, there will be a slight time jump. What do you think is going to happen? (Hint- Tagssssss!)

"The conference should only be a few days, baby." Pouting, you wrap your arms around Joel from behind as he buttons up his flannel. "I know, it's just… I feel weird staying here while you're gone." "But Ellie's gonna be here, right? You won't be alone. Hell, she's probably going to convince you to play hooky and take her to the record shop," he reassures you with a smile in the mirror, taking your hand and placing a gentle kiss on it. "She's going to keep you so occupied you won't even notice I'm gone. What's the worst that could happen?" "Have you spent time with Ellie lately? You know anything could happen when she's around." Joel smirks, "I guess you're right. I still need to fix the oven from her latest kitchen mishap. But don't worry, if you bring Sir Bubbles with you, she'll be occupied for days. She seems to like him more than both of us combined." "But do you really have to go, Joel?" you protest, sinking onto Joel's bed with a playful pout. "I'm sure Tommy can handle things; he's a big boy." Joel raises an intrigued eyebrow. "Bigger than me, Mami?" Gazing up at the ceiling, a sudden wave of unease twists your expression. "Joel, how are you feeling? I think there might have been something wrong with the breakfast we had this morning," you rasp, brushing aside his teasing question.

sooo glad we live in the universe where twdgs4 was rewritten to be about saving the school instead of the original lis2-esque on the road each-episode-is-a-new-location plot. really dodged a bullet there

dont know if it was due to the cuts and collapsing work environment (no budget for all the assets needed) or what but the school plot is just like the perfect setting for her to end her story. and we really almost got a plot about her.... just trying to make it back to her original house? oof

On the Road Again

Dean didn’t know he could miss anything as powerfully as he had missed Sam; all that time in hell, he never once cried out for Baby or Led Zeppelin. But here he was, cruising down the highway in the Impala, singing along to Stairway to Heaven, Sam in the passenger seat, and he actually had a half-boner, it felt so good.

Then there was a single clunk, and Dean steered her to the side of the road as she drifted to a stop. He looked at Sam with an expression of horror, and Sam mirrored him, eyebrows raised, jaw dropped. Dean turned the ignition off, and the music stopped at There's still time to change the road—.

Dean poked around Baby’s engine, careful not to touch anything hot with his bare hands, and tried not to think about hell. Dean slammed the Impala’s hood closed with a muttered, “Son of a bitch!”

Sam had come around to observe, and Dean turned all his rage and frustration on his brother. “I ask you one thing! I leave the car with you to take care of because I’m fucking dead, and you don’t even”—he gestured blindly at the general situation—“keep her running! What the fuck, Sam!” Dean was breathing hard.

Sam cringed at the onslaught. He didn’t say anything, just looked at Dean beseechingly, like, what was I supposed to do without you?

And just like that, all of Dean’s anger was gone. He reached for Sam, said, “C’mere. I got you,” and folded Sam into his arms. “I didn’t mean it. I know you took care of her like she deserved,” he murmured in Sam’s ear. Eventually, they disentangled, and Dean cradled Sam’s face in his palm, looking up into Sam’s puppy-dog eyes.

Sam licked his lips, looked sheepish, and finally got out, “Um. Was I not supposed to put regular gas in it? And also, was I supposed to change the oil? And… was I maybe supposed to change that worn belt?”

Dean let his hand fall and closed his eyes. He counted to five before he responded. But looking at Sam there with his sad-sack expression, the lines of worry on his forehead, and the slight tremble of his lower lip, Dean didn’t have it in him to be mad. He smiled ruefully and responded, “See, I knew I’d taught you something. You knew exactly what was wrong!”

He went to the trunk and started pulling out the tools.

Today’s experiment: Practicing with Procreate’s animation features.

Mu rising from “Earth’s End” which I headcanon to be the edge of the continent the ancient tribes lived on, where the furthest known lands of the time met the vast abyss of the ocean. - Mu has a very mountainous shape, so I imagine it as being practically carved from a mountain island or peninsula with Le Mu at its peak.

Pairing: Female Dragonborn/Serana Rating: M Summary:  Serana is awoken by a vampire hunter, forced to serve in the ritual by her father’s minions. Before she can be executed, Serana steps in, saving her life the only way she knows how: enthralling her,  making her serve the thing she has sworn to destroy. It would have been  enough to save the girl’s life and release her when it was safe, but  with the fate of the word hanging in the balance, Serana can’t just let  her go. Newly freed, they will need to work together to stop darkness  from overtaking the land - assuming they don’t kill each other first.

“Would you just stop?” Alanna hurried down after her, catching up and keeping pace with her around the winding stairs. “You enthralled -”

Suddenly there was a finger under Alanna’s chin and murder in Serana’s eyes. “Don’t.”

Alanna swatted the finger away. “Don’t what?”

Serana moved forward, grabbing at Alanna’s shirt. It was instinct that made Alanna bring her arm up, throwing Serana off balance and breaking the hold in an instant. Serana’s eyes went wide, the shock and anger in them so beautiful Alanna knew she would be seeing it in her dreams for months to come. She would have bet good coin no one had ever done that to her royal highness before.

She was too busy indulging in the moment to prepare for the next one and so had no way to defend herself when Serana brought her other hand up to her shirt, grasped it in one fist, and shoved her forcibly against the wall.

“Don’t bring that up here. Don’t breathe a word of it to anyone, not even that special friend of yours.”
