I’m-possible to change the world! Good news for fans of Impossible™ Burger 🍔! It has arrived at 7-Eleven stores in Singapore and this is the very time the plant-based meat is available at a convenience store in Asia. Made with award-winning, plant-based Impossible™ Beef, the 7-Eleven Impossible™ Deluxe Burger 🍔 is stacked with delicious sautéed white button mushrooms, garden-fresh spinach, and is finished with a light and refreshing sour cream sauce between a pillowy bun. Available at S$5.90 by itself or at S$7 as a Saver Combo with a bottle of Glaceau Vitamin Water, this means more fans will be able to enjoy a delicious, nutritious and sustainable meal even when they are rushing in between appointments or grabbing a late-night snack. With dining-in options currently unavailable due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions, those who are craving for an Impossible™ Burger 🍔 will be able to visit any 7-Eleven stores near them to grab one easily on the go.   Additionally, every 113g serving size of Impossible Beef uses 96% less land, 87% less water and 89% less greenhouse gasses compared to ground beef from a cow - this means a saving of 7 square meters of land, 3 kg of CO2, and 84 litres of water for each serving consumed. 👍🏻👍🏻   The Impossible™ Burger 🍔 is currently available as a permanent ready-to-eat menu item at more than 300 7-Eleven stores across the island now! Don’t miss out! 😍😍 (at 7-Eleven) https://www.instagram.com/p/CPZpgSVhRM6/?utm_medium=tumblr

Singapore Travel Tips and Things to Do
The island city-state of Singapore is a truly fascinating place. It is a melting pot of culture, a high-tech urban hub, and one of the world’s most kid-friendly destinations. I’ve visited Singapore numerous times, with and without my daughter, and think this destination should be on every traveler’s must-see list.
In this post, I share my best Singapore travel tips and some of my family’s favorite things to do in Singapore. Under each section, I list tips for how to buy tours and tickets for less, and this is mostly done through a highly rated and large Singapore-based travel company called Klook.
Singapore Travel Tips
Many people are happily surprised to discover that traveling in Asia is easy. Visiting Singapore is no exception, but it’s nice to know what to expect. Here are some Singapore travel tips I share when friends and family express an interest in visiting the city.
Visit in the Driest Season
The critical thing to know is that the weather in Singapore is hot and humid year-round, and there’s always the possibility of rainfall. That said, if you want potentially the least amount of rain during your visit, plan your trip for June, July, or August (though expect some rain during these months, too).
If visiting Singapore with kids, don’t pack your itinerary too full because they will need downtime in the heat.
Eat Like a Local
The food in Singapore is, frankly, amazing, and one of my favorite things to do in Singapore is to eat. While you could stick to Michelin starred restaurants (there are tons), definitely make time to check out the food centers and hawker stalls where you’ll find some of the best chicken rice, chili crab, and laksa.
What to Pack
Singapore is consistently humid, so one of my top Singapore travel tips is to stick with natural fibers like linen and light cotton when you’re packing. Tunics are an excellent option because they’ll protect your skin from the harsh equatorial sun while keeping you cool.
Bug spray and sunscreen are mandatory no matter what time of year you’re visiting. Do not forget a hat and UV umbrella to provide some shade while sightseeing. We also like handheld fans that mist water. Singaporean heat is no joke.
Where to Stay
During our trips to Singapore, we’ve loved staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore and Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, and I’d recommend either as a perfect home base whether you’re traveling solo, on a couple’s getaway, or visiting Singapore with kids. The historic Raffles Hotel (where the Singapore Sling was invented) is another option for a luxury hotel (though it’s closed for restoration until August 2019), but there are many, many wonderful hotels in Singapore for every budget.
If you’re traveling to Singapore soon, you can access my VIP amenities at many of the Singapore luxury hotels by booking through my Singapore Virtuoso page.
Ask About the Handy
If you don’t want to go through the hassle of figuring out how to get your U.S. mobile phone to work in Asia — or you don’t want to pay for roaming charges — ask your hotel if you can borrow a “handy.” These are complimentary phones with local SIM cards that many hotels keep on hand for guests. Many luxury hotels already have Handys waiting in every room.
Cabs Are Plentiful
Locals will typically choose a cab ride over a stroll (possibly because of the heat and humidity), so you’ll never have trouble finding a ride. They’re also inexpensive, despite Singapore’s reputation as the world’s most expensive locale. I would also highly recommend that you download the Grab app, which is Singapore’s version of Uber.
Know the Rules
Singapore is known for being a clean and safe destination, and that’s partly because there are many laws and regulations locals uphold. One of the most important Singapore travel tips I can share is to be aware of the rules. For example, chewing gum in public, forgetting to flush a public toilet, and feeding pigeons can all result in a fine.
Things to Do in Singapore
There are so many amazing things to do in Singapore that it’s hard for me to choose just a few. Below, you’ll find some of our favorites.
National Gallery Singapore
This museum houses the most extensive public collection of modern art in all of Southeast Asia. There are more than 8,000 pieces of art, and you could easily spend an entire day wandering around the galleries. Start your visit at the “Siapa Nama Kamu? Art in Singapore Since the 19th Century” exhibit, which features art that explores the country’s identity.
The Singapore Zoo
This is a must-do for families visiting Singapore with kids. The Singapore Zoo is famous for its open-concept enclosures that put visitors very close to the wonderful animals that call the zoo home. Yes, these are orangutans swinging over my daughter’s head as she walks down one of the zoo pathways.
Speaking of orangutans, we always book Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife when visiting the Singapore Zoo. You’ll enjoy a huge buffet, listen to zookeepers talk, and get an up-close look at the orangutans who climb down to eat, too, snakes and more.
Check out the zoo’s schedule before you go because there are lots of animal feedings and other activities each day. River Safari Singapore is located next door to the Singapore Zoo. If you have the energy, you can visit both in one day.

Jurong Bird Park
This is the largest bird park in Asia, with more than 5,000 animals representing 400 species in its 50 acres of green spaces. Four large aviaries mimic lush natural habitats, and you can see everything in a half day visit.
When we went, we booked the Jurong Bird Park Feeding Frenzy Tour for a fun experience that I highly recommend (it was nice to be driven around in a cart with a young child in Singaporean heat).

Universal Studios® Singapore
One of the most obvious things to do in Singapore with kids that’s always a hit is to visit Universal Studios Singapore on Sentosa Island. There are seven movie-themed lands with twenty-four rides, shows, shopping, character experiences, and lots of other fun stuff to do for both kids and grown-ups. Purchasing tickets in advance is a must as the park limits the number sold each day.

Singapore Botanic Gardens
While there are many green spaces to explore here, the Singapore Botanic Gardens (a UNESCO World Heritage site) stands out. Set on 60 acres of what was once plantation land, four distinct gardens feature thousands of species of orchids, beautiful tropical plants, beautiful landscaping, children’s areas with tree houses, and other attractions. Admission is free.
The heat makes it a bit hard to explore but rest-assured it’s worthwhile. Before moving back to San Diego, we’d spent so much time in Singapore that I wanted to replicate a Singaporean garden at home. We don’t have the climate (despite much care, I learned this the hard way) so do enjoy the lush greenery and orchid arches when there.

The Night Safari
Singapore is home to the world’s first safari park showcasing nocturnal animals. The Night Safari is one of the most interesting things to do in Singapore for visitors of all ages. The complimentary guided tram tour only takes 40 minutes and takes guests through each habitat for close-up views of nocturnal animals from 130 species.
After the tour, you can explore the trails on your own or check out the Creatures of the Night show. Rest assured that plenty of snacks and adult beverages can be enjoyed during your visit.

Ethnic Neighborhoods: Little India, Chinatown, Kampong Glam, Katong/Joo Chiat
No visit to Singapore is complete without visiting at least one of these neighborhoods!
Singapore is a true multicultural destination. The Chinese, the Malay, and the Indian populations have all contributed to Singapore’s cultural richness while still celebrating their art, festivals, and cuisine. You can experience the diversity of Singapore by traveling to these enclaves (be sure to eat).
In Little India, you’ll find an abundance of fantastic food and one of Singapore’s oldest Hindu temples. Chinatown is home to traditional medicine bars and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple & Museum plus cool restaurants and bars. Kampong Glam is home to the golden Sultan Mosque and Haji Lane — a colorful, narrow, and artsy street that is one of the most Instagrammable spots in Singapore. Joo Chiat is the most famous street in the Peranakan neighborhood of Katong, and you must go there to eat. (Peranakan are native-born people of mixed local and foreign ancestry. In Singapore, this refers to Straits-born Chinese whose culture and language is Malay influenced.)

Gardens by the Bay
This urban jungle on Marina Bay has three waterfront gardens showcasing the best and most beautiful tropical flora and garden artistry. There’s plenty to keep you busy, from strolling along the 419-foot aerial walkway supported by eighteen super-trees to wandering around the Flower Dome (the largest greenhouse in the world) to visiting the Cloud Forest, where you can find the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. Make sure to stay for the evening Garden Rhapsody light and music show.

Marina Bay Sands SkyPark
This Insta-ready 57th-floor observation deck is open to the public, though it should be noted that the Marina Bay Sands rooftop infinity pool (the world’s largest) is for guests only.
The panoramic views of the Singapore skyline from the observation deck are breathtaking.
Resources:
Marina Bay Sands Skypark Discount Tickets
DC Comics Superheroes Cafe at Marina Bay Sands Voucher (my daughter loves this)
The Bukit Timah Nature Reserve
You’ll find fantastic hiking trails less than eight miles from the city center in this beautiful 403-acre reserve. There are four routes to choose from — two that are easy, one that will give you an excellent workout, and one that is best for experienced hikers — plus a designated mountain biking trail. All of these paths will take you through some gorgeous tropical flora.
The Spectra Light and Water Show
Seeing the Spectra Light and Water Show should be on your list of things to do in Singapore if it is your first time here. This evening show, which happens daily, features perfectly choreographed singing fountains and light projections. One of the best spots to catch it is from just outside the main entrance of the Marina Bay Sands mall, the pedestrianized walkway around Marina Bay, or from your room at the following hotels:
Mandarin Oriental, Singapore
The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Singapore
The Fullerton Hotel
The Fullerton Bay Hotel
Shop Orchard Road
Known as Singapore’s shopping street, Orchard Road was once lined by plantations but today is home to luxury boutiques and other high-end stores. There are also lovely dining options, spots to grab a quick glass of wine, and beautiful little cafes.
Highlights include ION Orchard mega shopping mall with its luxury brands and food hall. Tang’s is a local department store that’s been open here since 1932 should you want to browse Asian homewares, local as well as international designers, and its massive beauty hall. We also have spent hours in the gigantic Kinokuniya bookstore in Ngee Ann City browsing comics, anime, cookbooks, office supplies, and more.
Go to the Beach and Play on Sentosa Island
There’s nothing like swimming in the calm waters off Sentosa Island and then drying off on the soft, warm sand.
Siloso Beach is a popular spot for both locals and tourists for its kayak rentals and cool restaurants, and I recommend rounding out your Singapore vacation with some unstructured beach time. My daughter would not sightsee once we landed on Sentosa Island’s beaches as she enjoyed them so much.
Other things to do on Sentosa Island (other than Universal Studios Singapore) include Fort Siloso and the Fort Siloso Skywalk, S.E.A. Aquarium AJ Hacket bungee tower, Adventure Cove Waterpark, KidZania Singapore, Mega Adventure Park and much more.
To give you an idea, it takes about 15 minutes to get to Sentosa Island from Marina Bay. You can also stay on Sentosa Island at the luxe Capella Singapore.
Resources:
Bundled sightseeing passes are helpful when visiting Sentosa’s many attractions.
Sentosa Fun Pass
iVenture Card Singapore
Are you thinking of traveling to Asia? I recommend including Singapore as a stop. If you have spent time here, what are your top Singapore travel tips?

http://bit.ly/2SE92CS Read on our visit to 10 Best Food in Hong Kong | 2018 by FoodGem
1. Sang Kee Congee 生記粥品專家
Porridge may seem plain by its looks. The sweet fish porridge was unexpectedly flavourful and doesn’t have any fishy smell or taste. It’s very smooth and can literally drink it. Not forgetting their giant fish ball made with real fish meat. So Q that it kept slipping off my spoon. I’ve ordered a 鱼球及等粥 (Signature porridge with fish balls), it comes with more than 5 different ingredients like meatballs, fish balls, pig’s intestines, kidneys, fish slices and more! I’ve also noticed that the locals like to order porridge with fish bones.

Address: Hong Kong, Sheung Wan, 環畢街7-9號
Note: No English menu
2. Yat Lok 一樂燒鵝
First meal and foremost, to satisfy my cravings for goose meat. Lucky to receive a plate of goose meat with a good thick layer of fat under the light crisp skin. The texture and flavour of the meat beneath were tender and flavourful. Yat Lok is featured on the Michelin Guide.

3. Famous Dim Sum 名點心
Thou they’re called Famous Dim Sum, they’re not that famous in Hong Kong. Reached on a Friday dinner, the dim sum restaurant was only half filled. I’ve also noticed that almost 99% of the diners are locals. That’s what I like, to enjoy what the local eats and to uncover a hidden gem. I’m not a carbs person however I don’t mind having steam prawns over rice with lotus leaf. Wonderful aromatic rice with a nice scent of the lotus leaf, garlic and prawn juice. Can taste the goodness of each individual grains of rice and not a mushy mass of rice. Feeling welcome at this dim sum place with their good service. A little surprise as the service crew brought the bill to us and even opened the door when we’re leaving. Not sure is it because I’ve been snapping away or they have this practice all along. But such practice, definitely very rare in Hong Kong Cafe.

4.  Ma Sa Restaurant 孖沙茶餐廳
I love the runny yolky, glossy happiness of a sunny side up fried egg with crispy edges triple eggs triple joys. Definitely, the perfect egg that I would crave for. There are also many slices of cha siew hidden under the triple eggs. The cha siew are decently tender and nicely seasoned.

5. Tsim Chai Kee 沾仔记
Ordered wonton noodles with three toppings (wonton, fish ball and beef slices) and received a big surprise with this HUGE fishball. You know whenever we order fishball in Singapore, we get fishball in ping-pong size. This is of tennis ball size!!! Maybe even bigger size if you’re lucky as each piece is freshly minced and handmade. Each piece of wonton dumpling comes with crunchy king prawn and tender meat. The beef slices were slightly raw but tender and juicy. I do enjoy the al dente noodles but not the strong yellow wax taste as usual. Didn’t get to try the soup before it is diluted with yellow noodles wax. Tsim Chai Kee is featured under Michelin Bib Gourmand list.

6. The Alley 鹿角巷
Brown sugar deerioca milk was superbly smooth and creamy milk tea with chewing good deerioca pearls soaked in sweet brown sugar. The bad thing is you can only buy two cups of deerioca drinks after queuing for soooo long.

7. Australian Dairy Company 澳洲牛奶公司
While people go for scrambled egg, I go for their “Snow White” steamed egg white fresh milk pudding. It’s custardy soft and served warm. Even softer than our local beancurd dessert. Very comforting especially during the winter season. My boyfriend is a fan of their macaroni with ham but I don’t really like it. Did not experience a decent service, they simply storm away when we wanted to order more dishes. Thus, we had to wait for another service crew.

8. Lung Kee Wanton 龍記招牌雲吞
Here’s my number two choice for wonton noodles. Always love Hong Kong wonton with crunchy shrimp. However, I can never enjoy their noodles or soup as it will be diluted with yellow noodles wax. Psst, don’t forget to add their special homemade Signature chilli sauce to the wonton or noodles. It’s not very spicy and comes with bean paste. Decent service and one of the aunties can communicate with minimum English. They also sell raw ingredients like wontons, beef, fish ball and even their chilli sauce.

Address: Lee Wai Commercial Building, 1-3 Hart Ave, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

9. Lee Keung Kee North Point Egg Waffles 利強記北角雞蛋仔
Walked past this mini store along King’s Road couple of times and they’re always flooded with waiting customers. My boyfriend and I decided to try as there’s no queue on a weekday evening around 6pm. The outer core was very crisp and breaks apart with almost no effort. A good eggy taste, not the overly sweet flavour. Not forgetting the smidges of crisp around the edges too! You might be shocked at the mini kitchen with all the chunky and thick wirings. Lee Keung Kee North Point Egg Waffles is listed under Michelin Guide 2016-2017 and various Hong Kong good food channels.

Address: 492 King’s Rd, North Point, Hong Kong

10. Fei Jie 肥姐小食店
Read a couple of good reviews about this street food and decided to try for the first time. The Signature big combo comes with octopus, pig offal and turkey kidney. You may wish to skip turkey kidney, a little too chewy. The crunchy octopus and pig offal with stuffings are good to try. I like it with sweet sauce and mustard. While shooting videos for my Instagram stories, I was also worried that I might get scolded by Fei Jie. *Eyes on no photography sign* Fei Jie was pretty kind to me after all, not those bad attitude as written under the reviews.

Note
Awww that's so nice! I'm glad you had a good time :) I'm studying biotech. And I studied in Sweden for my exchange. It was such an amazing city and everyone was so nice~~ And it was the first time I experienced so little sunlight XDI feel you though haha. I'm kinda of in this weird limbo where I want a job just so I don't have to keep studying, but I also don't want that kind of responsibility. But good luck with your applications! What are you studying? Oh and I'm from the U.S-- hi, neighbor!
I did see his long teaser! God it’s so aesthetic. I’m kinda busy right now so I haven’t been as involved in his comeback as I was with the group comeback but I would’ve giffed every second of it if I could lol. And every song seems like a jam! Sentimental definitely has a really nice beat. I also like Stay, but I can also see myself adding attraction to my bubbly Infinite playlist.
I also hope it’s a nice promotion! I hope short promotions aren’t a new woollim thing (even tho it’s been that way for a while). I know they probably just rushed Tell Me since they’ve kept us waiting. But Woohyun told fans to prepare to be blessed so maybe all these promotions now will mean something big for the second half of the year? Lol at least I hope. And I got into Infinite from watching running man! My roommate studied abroad in Korea and showed me the show when she came back
It was the Summer Idol Competition one. I thought just the combo of cool L and hamster Gyu was hilarious. And I heard destiny in the background so I looked into it and got hooked on the group. I ended up liking Woohyun a lot because of his voice. And as I got to know him I realized what a marshmellow he is. I used to think he talked too much at first cuz I wanted to learn about Gyu and Myung, but he grew on me haha. Who was your original bias group??
LOL I’m sorry for sending so many in. But I like seeing your long answers. Worry not, I’m also really awkward. Ahhh I feel like I haven’t been to Asia much in general. My family is from Taiwan. So I want to go around everywhere and Singapore is definitely high on my list haha. The food looks amazing
There def were a lot of plot holes and a lot of “but….why” moments but I somehow still really liked it lol. I recently realized I like things comic book/super hero style things? Haha it’s weird, I didn’t expect to like that sort of thing. I’ll add those dramas to my list for when I have a break and need to watch something. I try not to commit to dramas during the school year since I usually end up binging them all night.
Hehe…I feel bad asking more questions after all that, but what are your favorite concepts/songs?
You’re a fellow science student! What’s biotech exactly? And what do you hope to do when you graduate? My mother actually told me to look into biotech, but my Genetics prof made it sound like it was all about DNA coding and such, which I wasn’t interested in.
I studied Health Science in undergrad… Not what I expected as it was all about policy and not really science based. I’m applying to med schools! But my chances are slim… I didn’t do so well in my last year >_
Where in the States are you from? I’m from Ontario… Near Toronto. I guess I’m kinda used to sunlight deprivation, but it’s definitely not as drastic as it would have been in Sweden! Were you in Stockholm? Did you only stay for one semester? And did you have the chance to travel around Europe?
Have you been to Taiwan? Do you have family in the States or are they largely still in Taiwan? Also, I’m wondering, do you have any siblings?
Isn’t being asked where you’re from such a weird question? I moved from Singapore when I was 7, so I hardly know anything about the culture, but I still consider myself Singaporean. Plus, most people generally mean ethnically when they ask that question, and for me that’s India, but I don’t consider myself Indian at all… I tend to give very convoluted answers that try to fit all 3 countries in ^^;
Have you seen the MV/listened to the album yet? I really love Nell, so when I heard Kim Jong Wan was helping to produce the entire album I was super excited (plus it’s cute since Sunggyu’s such a big fan of his). I really liked Attraction and True Love, but I think my favourite off the album is City of Angels.
I totally get what you mean about being too busy to be really involved in the comebacks… But for me it’s more I’m too lazy/tired than busy. I keep thinking I’ll gif/edit, but never do. It’s quite terrible. How long have you been making gifs for?
Was Infinite the first KPop group you listened to? Are they the first you were really a fan of? Destiny was such an epic song and I totally get how it hooked you. It was such a fierce song. I can’t remember Sunggyu and Myungsoo in that episode of Running Man… I remember more the Winter Olympics one (unless I’m remember wrong and we’re talking about the same episode). I love Running Man, but I preferred it more in the beginning episodes because I loved the nametag chase and they rarely do that anymore. If you haven’t already, you should watch the first ~100 episodes (with Song Joong Ki), they’re seriously hilarious.
My first bias group was MBLAQ… It’s so sad they disbanded. Again, I loved them because they were such dorks and their variety shows were hilarious as well. If you want to watch something for laughs, watch MBLAQ Goes To School… It’s too funny. Have you seen all of Infinite’s variety shows? I haven’t seen their last couple, but Sesame Player will always be my favourite. If you’ve seen Sesame Player, what was your favourite part? Mine were the pranks.
If a drama is really good the urge to binge is so strong! That’s why I like watching currently airing dramas, I’m forced to wait ^^ If you like light hearted dramas, I think you’ll like Suspicious Partner. The main couple is adorable like in SWDBS (also, I’m totally biased toward Ji Chang Wook… Hence the icon…).
Your last question… Is that specifically in regards to Infinite? That’s kind of tough… I actually kind of got out of touch with KPop while I was in university, well with music in general, so I actually haven’t heard many of Infinite’s new songs. But I really love Tell Me… Sunggyu’s voice and Dongwoo and the dance and the outfits… Gosh, all of it slayed me. So I guess that’s you’re answer? What about you, what is your favourite concept/song or Infinite’s?
On another note… What genre of English music do you like? I love Alt Rock/Grunge and I tend to stay away from R&B/Hip Hop.
(Also… Don’t feel bad about sending so many messages! I love reading them and as you can see, I’m a rambly person so the more I have to respond to, the less I feel like I’m being irrelevant ^^)
