-I like to believe in this better AU, when Anya tells Curly about what Jimmy has done to her, he immediately confronts him and pulls NO punches.

-Curly wants to believe it's some sick joke for his own sanity, but he knows Jimmy and what he's capable of (being somebody's friend for twenty-some-odd years does that.)

~"Anya told me. Jimmy, man...what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you serious?"

-Doesn't bother contacting cooperate before deciding to put their cryogenic chamber to good use protecting Anya (not without heavy resistance on Jimmy's end, kicking and scratching trying to avoid being confined.)

-The rest of the haul went rather smoothly with maybe a few very minor bumps and scraps here and there.

-There's plenty of team bonding like game nights. Daisuke always wins much to everyone's dismay, but it's fairly funny watching Anya get pissed off and claim he's cheating at an "un-cheatable' game.

-Without Jimmy around, no one feels that they have to walk on eggshells anymore (this especially applies to Anya.)

-When they finally make it back to Earth, they're all so relieved yet saddened.

-Even though they are ecstatic to get back to their regular lives, they had grown to be a family over the past year.

-Lots of hugs and tears (mostly from Daisuke) and promises to meet up as often as all of them can!

-Jimmy is unfrozen and put on trial, being convicted of rape and thrown in prison. He gets counseling and progresses into a much better person but remains in prison for a long time ultimately deciding that when he gets out, he won't contact anyone on the Pony Express team. (He fades from their memories over time and they have no idea what became of him.)

-Daisuke goes home and reconnects with his parents and sister after being gone for a year, blabbering about everything that occurred and about how much fun he had interning for Swansea (who he calls every so often to keep in touch.)

-After a couple months or so, he finally decides to apply to Maryland Institute College of Art and gets accepted! (His parents are just happy he's finally applying himself.)

-Swansea already had a preestablished family prior to joining the Tulpar, a family in which he was so grateful to see again when he got back and vice versa.

-He took a very deserved period of self TLC before going back to work the auto-body shop he and his daughters ran!

-Curly had the most eventful time after leaving the Tulpar as he wasn't sure he wanted to be a captain anymore after that trip.

-He takes some time, job hopping from being a commercial airlines pilot, a line service technician, and finally settling on a less glamourous yet much more significant title, Professor Curly at Purdue University.

-Speaking of college, Anya decides to go back to school in an attempt to get her master's in Nursing and after several setbacks, she manages to graduate with a 3.56 making her the dean's list!

-It's her very graduation that has the crew (minus Jimmy of course) reuniting after several years!

-Graduations are an important event, especially college ones! This is exactly why each member comes dressed in what they view as "formal attire."

-While all of the men dawn suits of various colors, Anya wares a beautiful plum colored ankle length gown fitted with three golden star pins that corset the back under her ceremonial garb. On her feet are tasteful golden, shimmery flats that serves to complement the pins as well as allowing her to move as needed. (AKA she cannot walk in heels for the life of her.) Chooses to steer away from any Jewlery and leaves her hair as is naturally. -Daisuke is clade in a salmon-colored suit (the same color as his Hawaiian shirt he wore in his days in the Tulpar) that is adorned by golden fixings on the cuffs. While his hair, now grown slightly longer, is pulled back into a neat ponytail, he decides against a tie or bow, rather leaving the top button undone and open showing off two layered necklaces. One a locket of his family and the other a simplistic, thin chain. He wears red dress shoes that do not compliment his attire at all, but as long as he liked it who cares? He too decides to wear a bit of makeup to enhance his features. Despite his time in college, Daisuke remains as cheerful and free-spirited as he was in the past!

-Curly's attire consists of a very plane navy blue suit to compliment his eyes. The suit is similar to Daisuke's in style and cut, but instead of gold fittings his are silver! The only one in the bunch to wear a belt and he makes sure it's black to match his shoes and tie! His curly hair is slicked back with a few left dangling as framing pieces.

-Lastly, Swansea comes in a regular black suit and tie with his favorite sneakers from his collection on. He has a silver tie clip snapped on to ensure it stays on straight (you cannot convince me he does not have one of those) that match his cuff buttons! His greying hair is combed back into that neat style that older gentlemen wear, courtesy of his wife! He originally just wanted to go in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, but his wife scolded him into changing on the condition he could still wear the sneakers.

-The graduation goes flawlessly, and emotions run high as they all crowed into cars heading to the nearest restaurant for good food and even better company.

I shall answer this because yes, it is confusing a bit. Forgive me if I miss anything.

First, the term 'Anti Cross-Breeder' is a term applied to people who are against the act of two different species being together. The term itself is not exactly the same as if a creature is rejected from it's own, as that has more to do with 'blood & culture' and such, though I suppose the term can still technically be applied. I believe the term is more used for people who find the offspring of mixed creatures wrong in some way.

Next, Beheaders is the blunt title of people who either commit the act of, or doctors who will preform the surgery of, removing one of or multiple heads of a multi-headed creature, often because it is not a normal occurrence in the species. In Ben & Liz's species, there's a strange occurrence where the young are born with two heads instead of one. Tinchue think of this as a sort of curse, like the unexpected head is a dark spirit that's attached itself to the child, so that head is often removed shortly after birth. Unfortunately if an older person is discovered to have the unexpected twin intact, the family makes the decision to have it removed as they are convinced that the 'dark spirit' has manipulated the other.

Lastly, Hunters or 'Parters' (still can't think of a good term) are people who take valuable parts from other creatures, said creatures being often 'Fantical' (a catagory of often mythical creatures such as dragons, unicorn and others). These parts are then sold on a sort of black market, to people who are wanting to use the parts for differing reasons. (Potions, mounting decor, trips, and the enhancing or prolonging of life and ability etc.)

She didn't have that much friends there, but her parent's friends, the lumiose tower caretakers and Luminalia gym leaders, had a son almost at the same time, her only deep friend, Clemont

Whit the news of all the zygarde aproaching catasthrophe, she and her family ran away, letting him behind. And moves to paldea in the age of twelve, starting her life in Uva academy

She's so smart academically (She passes test almost whitout studing, is a weird thing about ADHD) but is shy at first cause adaptation to a new place is hatd. Nemona sees that and starts to get close to her, talk her and befriend her

The Scarvio story happens normally, she becomes Nemona's rival and best friend and Arven's little found sister. Nemona thaugth her to battle, her second dream, and that training turns her into the Paldea champion, and happens to also befriend team star on the way!

But, in the middle of her road to vecome a champion, 2nd or 3rd gym, and whit half of the team star defeated, she got called to go to a road trip to….. Guess….kitakami!

And there Noelle meets their folktales and the Kitakami culture. But she didn't expect to also know the Kitakami siblings, lets just say Carmine doesnt liker first, and if it wasnt for kiki and the Ogerpon mask quest, neither at last

But then things go downhill, she and Carmine meet Ogerpon whitout Kieran and happen to know the true story before him. The betrayal happens, she didn't realize she was doing it, she thougt it was for the best since Clemomt got depressed for like a year when he was revealed he had to be the next gym leader

Well, the higher you fly, the harder you hir the floor. She had to lefr whitout oportinity of making things up,

Kieran fell even harder than in indigo disk, half of the canon time is what he needed to become chanpion, Elaine also became champion in paldea and finished defeating team star and also the collosal pokemon whit arven.

When she heard of the oportunity of going a semester to Blue berry academy a year later, she didn't hesitate, when she saw what she caused it hurted her to no end, she fell into Drayton schemes whitout second thougt because she wanted fix her damage so hard

She couldnt believe what she've done

(You even can see the worried and serious gaze, and how she crosses her fingers and stops wearing that much accesories on her hair. She didnt want to be that strong if that meant hurting others.)

She didnt want to hurt him, amd now he is actually strong and almost unstopable, she wasnt strong she was lucky, and she begs that luck stays by her side now

She didn't actually want to defeat Kieran, Drayton convinced her that hiting the floor will make his wall fall, and will make him stop pushing people away.

A week later, they and carmine were suddenly called to an expedition to area zero, and their lifes beinf in danger were the catharsis they needed to ler everything out, they both confess their sttuggles and do the proper apologize. Time and healing are needed but they are going by good path!

Holy JESUS. I mean, even with the short story words in there, I sure wrote a LOT.

(Note that my final draft will be somewhere in the 60000 word range. I cannot wrap this shit up in 8000 words. I'll post when I meet the 50000 word goal, but continue nightly updates until the draft is done.)

Here's the highlight reel. Huge spoilers for if I ever publish this. Like- spoilers that if it was a movie, you'd want to murder your friend if they told you. Readmore'd just in case.

I've finished Joran's trip around his friend's mansion. Unfortunately, his mission impossible proved too impossible. Teosur is now infected by the love brain fungus. Oh noez!

Joran resolves to save Teosur, even if it seems impossible.

Some backstory stuff involving Joran's brother, Jagzid (pun on "jagged"), who noped off when he met his soulmate and left Joran running the house alone at age sixteen.

Joran's antics have made him a target of not just his town, but the entire cluster. That's a group of ten towns. All of which are desperate to get him to just hook up already so they can go about their normal lives.

Joran receives help from a girl named Ally, who provided him with many of the secrets of his world. She lives with a group known as the People, who exist outside the love-fungus-fueled dystopia. She takes Joran and his four-year-old sister to her family, which consists of her father and brother.

The brother is kind of a loser who wears shirts that say "That's What She Said", but he's a nice guy.

Ally's father has the ability to surgically remove soulmate timers that have yet to go off. He offers to do so for Joran. He accepts.

This surgery will only freeze Joran's soulmate's timer. She won't be hurt, but she will think he's dead. This may be to his benefit later.

Before the surgery, Joran and Ally's dad have a discussion about love and its many forms. Keep in mind Joran lives in a world where gay and trans people don't technically exist, and no-one can choose to be single, amongst many other bullshit nuclear family rules. He's a little overwhelmed with all the forms of love now presented to him.

I also get to mention gay rams and penguins. It's only for a line. But I think it's cute.

Joran undergoes the surgery offscreen. It's a success! Thanks to something he said beforehand, though, Ally's father has an idea that may help Teosur, and perhaps the world. He's taken Joran's fungus to run some tests on.

I stopped midway through a light chapter where Joran treats himself to a sponge bath and movie marathon. The kid deserves it.

Also present- four-year-old Jibby making cookies out of dirt and winning the quiet game on the way to Ally's house. There are finally adults to take care of her. Yippie!

Plus two scenes from the original short story were remade into dream sequences. The short story had multiple endings, which I incorporated into the novel as dreams! I won't be able to use this cheat going forward. But that'll plunk me down at around 50000 words anyway.

Week 4: Back to school and a family trip to Sentosa

The week right after a break from classes was SUPER BUSY... that was, in fact, very expectable. With classes being finalized and my family coming for a visit from Taiwan (Yippie!!), I think it would be a perfect timing to introduce NTU courses and my short trip to the fantastic island!

Let's start with a FUN fact: Here at NTU, they have make-up lessons for courses missed due to holidays. I was shocked because from what I remember for public holidays, if we miss a lesson then we miss it (right?); also, one of my professors told us the policy is unique to NTU not the whole Singapore because NUS (National University of Singapore) does not make up for missed classes either. I found the policy really NOT FUN as it literally made my busy week even busier...

Anyway, this semester I'm currently taking 6 courses (3 credits each), but I'll only receive 15 credits at the end because I'm not officially registered for one of the courses. A tip for registration and add/drop period: The school has restrictions for courses exchange students can take and vacancies for popular courses are usually given to local students first, so the best strategy is to try to get as many courses approved as possible to make sure you're getting enough credits!

Science & Engineering

One of the major classes I'm taking is Circuit Analysis, and here's how the course is delivered: Each week, we watch lecture videos online, attempt assigned tutorial questions, and go to tutorial sessions for help plus around 5 in-person lecture reviews held on certain weeks within the semester. I personally like the hybrid learning format as it allows me to learn at my own pace but also facilitates face-to-face interations with professors. The content taught is detailed and workload could be quite heavy as they do expect students to put efforts into learning and trying to solve problems before asking for help.

Language

Language classes, similar to U of M, are held in a small group of 15~20 people so that everyone is exposed to more interactions and speaking opportunities with professors and fellow classmates. A major difference is that instead of randomly assigning a room for classes, each language has its own "exclusive" classroom (they call it Communication Skills Lab, CSKL) with decorations of the country! For example, there are mini 한복 (Hanbok, Korean traditional clothing) in the Korean CSKL and a poster of popular tourist sites of South America in the Spanish one.

With every visit, a new discovery - Sentosa Island

And my family was finally here! It was only a 4-hour flight from Taiwan to Singapore and we decided to spend the weekend together in Sentosa. Sentosa is one of the top destinations for tourists as there are popular attractions, beautiful beaches and tons of activities to do!

Getting to Sentosa took a lot less time than I expected. We first took MRT to Harbourfront station, which is located in a huge mall - Vivo City. Side note, Vivo City was an awesome shopping paradise and we almost lost ourselves there (I'll definitely go back hehe). We chose to take Sentosa Express (like MRT but specifically to Sentosa from Vivo City and within Sentosa); it cost $4 SGD per person and since it was an unlimited pass, you could take as many times as you want on the island so it was more convenient to move around.

Due to time limit, we only visited Siloso Beach (there were 3 main beachces) and Universal Studio Singapore. Singapore absolutely did a great job making Sentosa a resort - from what I observed, no residents lived on the island and it was even hard to find a supermarket, but as a perfect place to go with family and friends it's always crowded. I was completely drawn to the relaxing vibe around the beach area. My brother and I also got to experience Skyline Luge - hopping on the Skyride and racing all the way down different tracks while enjoying a scenic island view.

Reflection

On my way to Sentosa, the slogan "With every visit, a new discovery" caught my eye. One month into the adventure in Singapore and I never stop wondering what this study abroad experience means to me, and what it has brought into my life. I have been trying to balance between coursework (it's been unexpectedly heavy), student clubs, interpersonal relationships and leisure time that people would assume exchange students should be having within a limited amount of time here. There seems to be an inner self-doubt whenever I see other exchange students having lots of fun in a large group, partying at nights and visiting other countries almost every weekend - Should I relax more, travel more and spend more time with friends? I always ask myself.

However, every visit is worth it, big or small, together or alone. When I open my mind to observe and take note of what has happened around me, everything could be an invaluable lesson, a brand new discovery. For the next 3 months ahead, I plan to focus more on my daily life: things I learn from classes, from interactions with diverse people, from new friendships I've built, and from occasional short trips around this amazing country.

This is what I'd love to call "the best adventure."

I've had a very busy oktober, so I've been trying to unwind. It's not working lmao.

Beginning of oktober I had a short trip within the country. Which was lovely. I went to the coast/one of our islands up north. So lots of yummy seafood.

Near the end of oktober I went on a bigger trip! A friend and I went to Malta. Which was a great time. Great weather, 30 degrees with a lovely seabreeze!

Ricardo used to dream of going to Paris. He used to dream of the day he could leave NYC and travel throughout Europe. Used to. Those were dreams of a past him, and they were left there to become a distant memory. It wasn't that he didn't want to go to these places anymore, because he did, but he had become more realistic since those days. He didn't sit around and dream anymore. In fact, he rarely did much of anything he used to do. Instead, he lived through his friends that were not affiliated with the gang, watching their Snapchat stories, Facetiming, and listening to their adventures. He was happy to hear Elizabeth was able to do these things and take the twins along with her. After everything she had faced in life, including the baggage he brought into it, she deserved to see the world and experience the nicer parts of life. "They must've tried to hire you after hearing your singing. You not only look like a princess, but you've got the voice to match."

He tried to envision what the family had looked like walking around the park, picturing the laughter of the twins, the smile Liz probably had, but he could imagine Alex looking deadpan faced the entire time. Not in a bad way, Ric just knew the guy was a serious one. Once the kids were settled in, Ricardo gives Elizabeth an apologetic smile. Seeing the kids get excited for the future gifts to come made him feel both happy and sad. Mentally he kicked his own ass for not having brought the souvenirs, but at least now he had another reason to see them all again. He chuckles when Liz greets him like a cowgirl, smiling at the jest. "Yippie-Ki-Yay, partner."

He ordered a coke for himself, but everything else was pretty similar to Elizabeth's order. He liked cheese pizza more than ones that had a lot of toppings, sometimes you simply needed a plain cheese pizza in life. His attention turns from the twins to Elizabeth once he realizes the two of them had gotten into a conversation of their own. The waitress returns to drop off the beverages, promising the food would be up shortly, then left them again. He listened to Elizabeth speak, sipping on his drink every so often. It made me happy and proud to hear of the progress she has made since the kidnapping. He was never going to forgive himself for the kidnapping, even if it was entirely out of his control. If she would've never made it back he doesn't even want to imagine the person he would've become. He had already lost so many people in his life, losing her would be his last straw.

"It's nice to hear you're doing better, love. I share your feelings about the trip, because I didn't know I needed the one I took either." Elizabeth had known how bad he had gotten, she had seen him at his worst, and he was happy to be able to let her see that he genuinely has gotten better. "Little by little everything will go back to normal; you'll see. Let me know if you want to go out on a walk around Central Park together sometime. I wouldn't mind getting back to walks again, and I know Teddy misses you."

⸻ The thought of one day going to Paris used to be distant, almost nonexistent, but her boyfriend made it possible. Disney was on her future plans. When she used to work at the Gentille Fille, she saved a bit of money, even though she hadn't completed all the cash to go to Disneyland, Orlando. It is the closest one, and 'cheaper' than going abroad. At the moment she allowed her boyfriend to take care of her financially too, not only helping with the twins and he was rich. Funny how the majority of people would be accustomed to a life of comfort easily, meanwhile Elizabeth still adapting to this reality. ❛ And they challenged me to sing. ❜ Liz added.

The twins were very happy and excited in the happiest place of the world, or so they said. Elizabeth was the one who wanted to be there in the first place. Perhaps, she was more excited than her own kids in the park. The elder blonde helped the duo get in the children's chair, and sat beside Beau, once done with it. And sighs deeply, flipping her short silky hair backward with the back of her hand. ❛ That's not a problem, Ric. Don't worry. ❜ Liz said softly, and the twins got excited about the idea of getting 'gifts'. ❛ I just remembered I should greet you now, howdy, cowboy, yeehawww! ❜ She jests.

Liz ordered a Coke Zero for herself, and the twins sparkling water. They loved sparkling water, it is funny, majority of the kids hate it. With a lot of ice in it, and her pizza is a traditional cheese, she isn't fond of too many toppings in the pizza. Lilou and Beau chatted up with themselves per usual, and she gave her attention to Ric. ❛ I'm good. Better than before… I didn't know I needed this trip until it happened. There was moments I was anxious, but Alex helped me with it. I'm slowly learning how to go out without my father escorting me. ❜ Her bestie knew she was kidnapped not so long ago, she went nearly a month in MIA, and apart from that she was hidden at her boyfriend's place to recuperate, and slowly back to normal life. She didn't leave home, and when she decided to do it, it was being escorted by Alex or her father. Claude was surprisingly being an actual father to her for the first time in his life. He noticed his life was a mess without her, and how much he missed his daughter.
