Ever heard of a fic called Dermabrasion? Well, if you haven't, and it's a really good mha todoroki fic, (just gonna paste the fic premise thingy)

-Shouto spends his time drifting until he hears some general course students talking about a vigilante from a few years ago who had blue flames.

Shouto only knows two people who can use blue flames. One of them is Endeavour and the other is dead.-

YEAH

So. If you wanna read it, it's Dermabrasion by pennydaniels. It is like 410,000 words, but that's a plus in my opinion. It's also finished. And it took over my brain for a good two weeks so all you guys are hearing about it.

#he keeps falling asleep almost on my shoulder and waking up and readjusting but i want to tell him its ok weve seen a lot #of each other ive seen your brainwaves you called me crying a few nights ago. research partner right now is a potentiality #friend is a certainty. i met a banker passionate about finance. he said his advice made the lives of others better and he likes the numbers #more than he likes anything else. on a high rise near canary wharf the view was wonderful and the people even moreso #he said i loved her but i spent 33 grand on her and i cant do this anymore. his voice cracked talking about her. he did love her.#and she talked softly she grabbed my hand she bought me a pack of Marlborough gold she told me to snap #the russian menthol cigarettes of the tortured polish man near us with my teeth i kept staring at her teeth #bright white and sharp. i couldnt find her heartbeat but i did find warmth and i did find her lips and i did feel #how she felt pressed against a wall. a pretty boy held my hand and i gave him my number. i couldnt stop smiling about her no matter #how many runways youve walked on how many collections youve designed how many students youve taught. senior lecturer teaches me how to do #very unethical things ethically over a double shot of vodka made by the half-persian with broken farsi. she talks softly #and she says her eyes are hazel but they appear a shade of red. pure gold on her hands and leather on her back and her fingers on my lips #(she talks softly sees through me she says something i cant hear but i wont forget the way she flies) she talked to my research partner #about the possibility of moving to sunny dubai with the rest of her family and my heart felt pierced. on her arm i traces a tattoo of a #knife passing through a rose. she told me she thought there was romance in severing so i kissed her some more.#he sat me down and asked me what i loved and i told him and he said no romance no person no tragedy will take that from you.#the room was filled with a collection of people in love with something that wasnt a person and i kept looking at her.#red eyes bitten jawline beautiful hands. it is 3 degrees Celsius my head is on his shoulder i miss my friends #we walked out the lecture hall with arms linked a photo of two years ago and we both said #jesus christ. i miss you all. and i miss logic metatheory lectures. im glad i get to stare at the depth of your eyes #i wish i had met you years ago.#crushposting

there's a photo where my best friend is holding me. we are looking into the camera, my eyes have dimmed into crescent moon lines while hers are wide open like moonflower petals unfolding into the night. as i look back at that picture now i realize i was so immersed in the happiness of her existence that i didn't pay attention to how tight she's hugging me and i wish i could go back and focus on the grip of her embrace. but here's the thing her hugs never feel enough and i hope her hugs never feel enough so i can embrace her again and again, in the willing suspension of disbelief that i will absolutely not miss her as long as I can hold her. maybe that's why we hug to say goodbye—to take into our arms what we want to keep when they have gone. because home is sometimes the hands of others.

man, kara's apartment used to be so bright and beautiful and full of life. it used to reflect her personality and interests. look.

and she used to have a bunch of other apartments all around the world. she'd decorate them to her liking and use them as secret bases. this one bellow is in paris.

kara didn't even have to put this much effort into them, yet she took the time to make them feel cozy.

which brings us to kara's current home. it's so sad and empty. i just, i hate it.

supergirl special #1

this apartment is so minimalistic. it feels cold. like no love was put into decorating it. like a phantom is living in it, with no real hobbies and interests. just existing. where are kara’s art supplies? in a way, it reflects the state of current!kara's personal life. we've barely seen her out of her costume. we've seen two panels of how her life is going. for us, her civilian life is stuck in a limbo. and this is perfectly reflected in the empty apartment she lives in.

but in kara's universe, her life is still going. she's going on dates, she has a job. she’s not just staring at the void any time supergirl is not needed. she has things to do. that comics was an opportunity to show us kara's personal life is still going strong. that her loft is well-lived in. that kara puts effort into making this small apartment her home. that kara puts effort into making earth her home. it's such a wasted opportunity. hopefully, one day, kara will get the warm apartment and civilian life she deserves.

#mafia 2 #henry tomasino #frank vinci #there's going to be a lot of text in hashtags here so first of all:#i gave up at things like “they wouldn't do/say that” at this point #ooc and “what if” are more interestning and entertaining for me sorry mafia fandom #i like to spin the plot and characters like a rubik's cube #so stopping w rat!henry and continue with survived!henry who's true purpose was to became the head of falcone family #so the drug thing was just a way to frame falcone and get vinci to the point where he decided to do away with falcone #because of the increased drug traffic #henry always struck me as the most conservative of the (relatively) young mobsters #so i guess he wouldn't have gone on about the drugs and gotten vinci's sympathy because of it #yet henry didn't expect an attack from the triads and the fact that he survived only reinforced his religiosity #now he wears a rosary and prays more often than he used to #<- i'm actually too lazy to think about the details of how it might work so whatever #and I know the mafia chief's photo wasn't on the wall #but it's more symbolism about the change of power and prioritizing religiosity over personality #i just think he could be a good leader + there's a lot about his pride here #and tbh i just wanted to see him with the scars but my brain can't do anything without a plot #and sunglasses instead of an eye patch #and yeah my brain refuses to believe that he was just overconfident and really believed that there would be no repercussions ->#for selling drugs under the nose of falcone who clearly wanted to become a monopoly in this field #also i don't really care that much about henry surviving tbh #i mean his death fits the story well because it's after all a mob story (no matter was he a rat or not)#(i'm being a bit of a hypocrite here bc i refuse to believe that joe is dead)#“survive and take power” version is just interestning for me #but if i put aside all of this ooc #naah he was too pathetic to do this fr #k im too lazy to write anything further #thank you for coming to my ted talk

Can not stress enough the value of having physical copies of photos in your home. First thing we did at our apartment was put up a gallary wall and we've been adding a few more pictures over time and it's so nice. Really lovely reminder of the people we love and who love us.
