THAT TIME OF THE YEAR : TOJI FUSHIGURO
spooky season is your two boys’ favorite month out of the year. they will take halloween to another level with their stupid prank and their obnoxious self. (credit)
warning. established relationship, non-sorcerer, megs is three.
october was always a special month in your house, especially with your two favorite boys: your husband and your son. halloween brought out an extra spark in both of them. for toji, it was all about scaring the living daylights out of you at every turn; for your son, it was an endless excuse to indulge in as much candy as his little hands could grab. together, they were the ultimate halloween duo, and they made sure every night was full of fun, frights, and family bonding.
every evening, the three of you would cozy up on the couch, draped in halloween blankets, surrounded by pillows covered in tiny pumpkins and ghosts. the night began with spooky cartoons for megumi, gradually building up to horror movies that made you jump with every scare. it didn’t help that toji took every opportunity to add to the horror, sneaking up on you in the dark or making the house creak in just the right spots to give you chills. megumi, meanwhile, giggled at every one of his father’s pranks, clinging to you in excitement every time the movie reached a scary part.
decorating the house was another thrill entirely. toji insisted on going all out, hanging fake cobwebs on every wall, sticking glow-in-the-dark spiders to the ceiling, and even placing a life-sized skeleton by the front door to spook anyone who dared to visit. megumi helped, eagerly grabbing handfuls of fake bats and pumpkins to scatter around the living room. you let him stick the bat decals on the windows, watching his eyes light up as he carefully placed each one, talking excitedly about his plans to “scare all the monsters” away.
and then there were the costumes. toji, knowing your household’s halloween excitement, had gone above and beyond by sending over matching costumes for all of you. “just a little family fun,” he’d said, though you suspected he was reveling in the idea of seeing you all dressed up. the first box you opened held matching vampire costumes, complete with tiny fangs for megumi and a dramatic cape for toji that he wore with far too much pride. another box had skeleton onesies, which made megumi squeal in excitement, and of course, the classic pumpkin outfits that had you all laughing so hard you were nearly in tears.
it was the perfect blend of spooky, silly, and sweet—your little family creating memories in a halloween wonderland, one costume and candy bar at a time.
stepping out of your bedroom, you were greeted by the stillness of the house, a quiet that was almost too quiet. usually, there was the faint sound of toji’s steady footsteps, or the familiar soft noises from the tv, maybe even megumi’s playful laughter filling the air. but today, the silence seemed to linger, thick and expectant. instinctively, you felt your guard go up a little, knowing that your two favorite troublemakers were probably lying in wait, planning to jump out and startle you at any second. with halloween right around the corner, their pranks had become even more relentless.
smiling to yourself, you made your way down the hallway, keeping your eyes casually peeled for any flicker of movement. as you turned the corner, passing by the living room, something outside caught your attention. you stopped mid-stride, your gaze pulling toward the large window. there, across the street, the once-empty house stood in stark contrast to its quiet surroundings. a moving truck was parked in the driveway, its back open and overflowing with boxes, furniture, and household items. a handful of people moved back and forth, unloading and organizing, their voices carrying faintly through the early morning air.
a small flicker of surprise mixed with curiosity as you watched. the house had been vacant for so long that you'd almost grown used to the sight of its empty driveway and dark windows. seeing life there now, the bustle of activity, felt like an unexpected change—a new piece settling into the familiar puzzle of your neighborhood.
“well,” you murmured to yourself, a slight smile tugging at the corner of your mouth, “someone finally moved in.” your voice was soft, almost lost in the quietness of the room, but the words held a certain warmth, a bit of welcome for the unseen neighbors across the street.
you lingered for a moment, watching them go about their work, wondering what they’d be like. would they be friendly? reserved? or maybe they’d have kids who would join megumi in his little neighborhood adventures. the thought made you chuckle, imagining your son roping in yet another person into his halloween antics.
finally, you tore your gaze from the window and continued your path to the kitchen, the need for a warm cup of tea pulling you back into the routine of the morning.
you were in the middle of pouring hot water over your tea leaves, the soothing scent wafting up as you busied yourself with the morning routine. but then, a faint, haunting tune drifted into the kitchen—a melody so unmistakable, it sent a chill up your spine. the michael myers theme. you froze, brows knitting together in confusion, until you looked toward the large window that gave you a view of the front yard.
outside, right at the edge of your property, stood two figures. one towered over six feet tall, their body broad and muscular, while the other was smaller, tiny in comparison. both were dressed in full michael myers costumes, their faces obscured by the eerie, pale masks. the larger figure was seated at a piano, somehow dragged onto the lawn, fingers moving ominously over the keys. meanwhile, the smaller one—who looked eerily like your son—was doing a little dance in front, his moves synchronized to the creepy beat. both were facing the house of your new neighbors, like some twisted ‘welcome to the neighborhood’ display.
your eyes squinted, trying to make sense of the bizarre scene, but the realization hit you like a freight train. it was toji and megumi. a mix of horror and exasperation washed over you as your eyes went wide. you barely took a breath before you muttered, “fuck, fuck, fuck,” and quickly turned off the stove, abandoning your tea.
moving as fast as you could, you made a beeline for the front door, already imagining what kind of impression this little ‘performance’ would make on the unsuspecting newcomers. as you reached the door, you could hear toji’s deep chuckle even from inside, clearly enjoying every second of the prank. it was obvious this was his idea—megumi just his willing accomplice.
bursting out of the door, you hurried across the lawn, ignoring the curious looks from some neighbors peeking out their windows. “toji!” you whisper-shouted, trying not to make too much of a scene but already knowing that was a losing battle.
you glanced down at little megumi, whose enthusiasm was evident despite the mask. his tiny frame, barely reaching toji’s thighs, was bouncing with excitement as he held up a plastic knife—though, much to your horror, he had it sticking through one of the eye holes in his michael myers mask.
“megumi,” you began, struggling to keep a straight face, “you’re absolutely adorable, baby, but for the hundredth time—take the knife out of your eye, please.”
he paused, looking up at you with a glimmer of mischief as he slowly lowered the fake knife. “it’s scarier this way, mom,” he replied, sounding all too serious for a kid his age. you couldn’t help but chuckle at his dedication to the act, but a look over at toji confirmed your suspicion that he was the mastermind behind the “knife-through-the-eye” idea.
toji’s head tilted up slightly, those familiar green eyes glinting mischievously behind the mask. he slowed his playing but didn’t stop, while megumi just turned to give you a small, amused wave before going back to his exaggerated dance moves.
just as you’re about to speak, a voice called out from across the street. you looked up to find two men watching the scene unfold—one tall with stark white hair and the other with long, dark hair, both wearing expressions that looked equal parts amused and bewildered. near them were two kids about megumi’s age: a boy with a shock of pink hair and a girl with short ginger-colored hair. all of them seemed captivated by the bizarre performance happening on your lawn.
your cheeks flushed as you realized they’d been watching the entire time, and you let out a sheepish laugh, raising a hand in an awkward wave. “i promise we’re normal... well, at least 11 months out of the year!” you half-shouted across the street, your voice laced with a mixture of embarrassment and humor.
the white-haired man let out a deep laugh, clearly entertained. “oh, don’t worry, we’re all for a little halloween spirit,” he called back, grinning. the dark-haired man beside him shook his head, though you could see the hint of a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he held back a laugh.
the kids, meanwhile, seemed more than intrigued, their eyes sparkling with excitement as they whispered to each other. the boy with pink hair pointed at megumi, who was still brandishing his plastic knife with pride, while the girl watched, already sizing up his costume.
toji didn’t miss a beat as the neighbors began walking over, his fingers still gliding across the keyboard with dramatic flair. his eyes flicked to you briefly, a playful challenge in his gaze, daring you to try and make him stop.
you let out an exasperated sigh and rolled your eyes, marching over to him and giving him a firm smack on the back of his head. “enough, toji!” you muttered through clenched teeth, trying to hide the grin tugging at the corners of your mouth. “the neighbors are coming over, and you’re about two seconds away from terrifying them out of town.”
toji chuckled, continuing to play his ominous tune as he looked up at you. “lighten up, love. it’s all in good halloween spirit,” he said, his eyes crinkling with amusement behind his mask. you couldn’t help but shake your head, trying to resist the urge to laugh at his ridiculous antics.
the neighbors finally approached, the two men offering polite waves as the kids looked on, their expressions a mix of curiosity and delight. they seemed to take the display in stride, treating it as just another quirky neighborhood occurrence.
the two men extended friendly smiles, each one exuding a different type of charm. the tall, white-haired man with bright blue eyes stepped forward first, a grin plastered on his face that seemed as wide as the moon.
“i’m gojo satoru,” he said with a playful glint in his eye, offering his hand. “and this is my husband, geto suguru,” he added, gesturing to the dark-haired man beside him, who greeted you with a warm nod and a more reserved smile.
“we noticed your… uh, halloween spirit,” geto added, his smile deepening as he cast a sidelong glance at toji, who was clearly reveling in the entire scene.
before you could respond, the kids had already gravitated toward megumi, their own curiosity and excitement uncontained. the pink-haired boy waved enthusiastically, introducing himself with a big grin. “i’m yuuji itadori!” he said, his voice bursting with energy, “and this is nobara kugisaki,” he added, nodding toward the red-haired girl beside him, who wore a confident, no-nonsense expression.
megumi, still holding onto his plastic knife on the eye hole of his mask, looked at them through his mask’s eye holes, a spark of excitement in his eyes. he lowered the knife, waving back with a shy but intrigued look.
“i’m megumi,” he said simply, and before you knew it, the three of them were deep in conversation, already planning a halloween adventure that you could only imagine would be both thrilling and chaotic.
“looks like they’re already fast friends,” you chuckled, watching the kids with a fond smile.
smiling, you nodded in return. “nice to meet you both. i’m y/n, and this is my husband, toji,” you said, glancing up at him. toji finally lifted the michael myers mask, pushing it up to reveal his face. his sharp gaze, set jaw, a scar across his lips, and faint smirk had gojo blinking, momentarily taken aback before he broke into a grin.
“you guys don’t mess around, do you?” gojo said, chuckling as he took in toji’s intimidating appearance.
toji shrugged, crossing his arms with a casual ease. “we’re serious about halloween,” he replied, his tone a mix of dry humor and pride. he made his way over to you, slinging an arm around your waist. his touch was always casual but reassuring.
he was so close that you could smell the lingering scent of his cologne mingled with the crisp autumn air. his thumb grazed your hip in a small, intimate gesture that sent a familiar shiver down your spine. his presence was always comforting, yet at the same time, you couldn’t help but feel a tiny pang of embarrassment at the spectacle toji was making. you didn’t mind a bit of mischief, but this was a new neighborhood, and first impressions were important.
you cleared your throat softly, glancing back at gojo and geto with a slightly embarrassed smile. “i’m really sorry about these two,” you said, nodding toward toji and megumi, who was now giving nobara a serious demonstration of his fake knife skills. “they get a little… overly excited for halloween. it’s kind of their favorite time of year.”
the two men shared an amused glance before turning back to you, their expressions understanding. “don’t worry,” gojo said. “i totally get it. halloween brings out the craziness in everyone, doesn’t it?” his toothy grin grew wider as he looked over at megumi and nobara, who were now both brandishing their plastic knives like they were swords.
geto shook his head slightly, his lips quirking into a smile. “it’s nice to see such enthusiasm for the holiday. and your husband seems like quite the character as well,” he added with a nod toward toji who’s still standing beside you.
toji simply chuckled in response, his arm still casually wrapped around your waist. he watched as megumi and nobara dueled with their pretend weapons, his expression a mix of pride and amusement. “what can i say? halloween is our time to shine,” toji said, looking at you with that familiar spark in his eye.
gojo chuckled, his grin widening as he watched the scene unfold. “honestly, i respect the dedication. halloween should be a full-production event, don’t you think, suguru?” geto nodded, his smile warm and reassuring. “absolutely. it’s good to see people who go all out. besides, i think it’s rubbing off on the kids—they already seem like best friends.”
you looked back at toji, who gave a slight, unapologetic smirk as he caught your gaze, his thumb brushing lightly over your hip in a way that reminded you exactly why you loved his confidence, even if it did border on outrageous at times. it was moments like these that you could see how much fun he had with megumi, encouraging that playful side, even if it sometimes made for interesting introductions.
“well,” you sighed, turning back to your new neighbors, “at least they’re enthusiastic.”
geto’s eyes sparkled with a warm, inviting smile as he looked at you. “you guys should definitely stop by for trick-or-treating later,” he said, his tone light but sincere. “we might not have all the decorations up just yet, but i promise, we’ve got the best candy.”
his gaze shifted briefly to megumi, who was still showing off his michael myers costume with a serious expression, and geto chuckled softly. “i’m sure yuuji and nobara would love to have some company for the night. we could even make it a little neighborhood halloween kick-off.”
there was a genuine warmth in his voice, a subtle excitement that told you he wasn’t just being polite; he genuinely wanted to get to know your family and share in the halloween spirit. his easy smile and welcoming demeanor made it feel like this might just be the beginning of a new friendship.
you felt your heart warm at geto’s easy kindness, and you found yourself nodding with a smile. “we’d love to,” you replied, glancing at megumi, who looked thrilled at the thought of spending halloween with new friends.
toji, standing beside you with a relaxed grin, let out a chuckle. “oh, we’ll definitely be there,” he said, his eyes glinting with amusement. “can’t let the best candy in the neighborhood go to waste, right? his arm found its way around your shoulders, pulling you close as he continued, “besides, someone has to make sure you two aren’t just bluffing about the candy quality.”
geto laughed at your husband’s teasing comment, a warm chuckle that filled the air with a sense of camaraderie. “we’ll make sure not to disappoint in that department. our house will be a must-visit on halloween night, no doubt about it,” he said, his voice carrying enthusiasm that mirrored yours. the idea of forming new friendships so soon in the neighborhood filled you with a mix of anticipation and comfort, and you were happy to find that your new neighbors seemed to share the same eagerness.
after spending a moment with your new neighbors, you finally stepped back inside with megumi in your arms, his mask now set aside, and toji casually draping his arm around your waist as he walked beside you. the warmth of your home felt like a cozy contrast to the crisp, autumn air outside, and the three of you made your way to the couch, settling in for some downtime together.
you shifted megumi in your lap, playfully poking his little bolted tummy. “you’re such a scary little thing, you know that?” you teased, your voice filled with exaggerated seriousness.
megumi’s reaction was immediate—a burst of giggles as he squirmed, trying to dodge your finger. “no, mama! i’m not scary!” he squealed, his small hands batting at yours as if to defend his tummy.
toji chuckled softly from his spot beside you, one arm still lazily wrapped around you while he watched the two of you with a grin. “oh, i dunno,” he drawled, reaching over to ruffle megumi’s hair. “i think you had all the neighbors spooked. you really pulled off that michael myers act, kiddo.”
megumi looked up at toji with a wide-eyed grin, as if realizing the compliment was as good as a badge of honor. “did i scare you, papa?”
toji raised an eyebrow, pretending to think it over. “hmm... maybe a little. you’re lucky i didn’t run away screaming,” he joked, which only made megumi giggle harder.
you couldn’t help but smile at the two of them, warmth spreading through you as you watched them. with a sigh of contentment, you leaned into toji, letting the comfort of your family’s presence sink in. “guess we’ll have to keep an eye on you, baby,” you said, tickling him one last time. “we can’t have a little monster running around unchecked.”
megumi beamed, resting his head on your shoulder as his laughter finally softened, his small arms wrapping around you. nestled between you and toji, he looked utterly content, his little halloween antics forgotten for now—until the next big scare he was already planning.
you smiled softly, brushing a stray strand of hair from megumi’s face before leaning down to plant a gentle kiss on his chubby cheek. his skin was warm against your lips, and he looked up at you with wide eyes, a soft blush dusting his cheeks at the attention. “are you excited about your new friends, baby?” you asked, your voice gentle and encouraging as you met his gaze.
megumi nodded eagerly, his eyes shining with anticipation. “uh-huh!” he said, his voice filled with a mixture of shyness and excitement. his small hands fiddled with the fabric of his halloween costume, unable to contain his emotions.
toji leaned over, ruffling megumi’s hair playfully. “looks like someone’s already won over the neighborhood,” he said, his voice full of pride. he looked at you, a smirk. “who knew our little terror was such a social butterfly?” he teased, his gaze flickering with warmth as he glanced between you and megumi.
you smiled warmly, your heart swelling as you took in the sight of your son’s excited, flushed face. reaching out, you gently brushed your thumb over his chubby cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin as he fidgeted with the fabric of his costume, still caught up in the thrill of meeting new friends.
“so,” you asked softly, your voice tender, “do you like your new friends, sweetie?”
megumi nodded, his little face lighting up as he met your gaze. “uh-huh! they’re really nice, mama. yuuji said he can run super fast, and nobara said she’s gonna show me how to be ‘extra spooky’ for halloween!” he replied, his voice filled with wonder and a touch of admiration for his new friends.
toji chuckled, leaning back with his arm draped around your shoulders, clearly amused by megumi’s excitement. “looks like we’ll have the best little monster squad in the neighborhood,” he added, his voice a mix of pride and warmth. you laughed, pressing another kiss to megumi’s cheek. “then we’ll just have to make sure you’re the spookiest of them all, won’t we?” you said with a grin, watching as his eyes sparkled with anticipation for the halloween fun yet to come.
megumi nodded eagerly, his small face beaming with joy as he looked up at you. his little hands still fidgeted with the fabric of his costume, betraying his excitement.
“mm, i wanna be the scariest,” he said with a determined nod, his words filled with both excitement and a touch of shyness as his gaze flickered between you and toji. toji chuckled, reaching out to ruffle megumi’s hair gently. “oh, i have no doubt you’ll scare the socks off them all, kiddo,” he said, his voice warm and reassuring.
megumi’s enthusiasm was infectious, and you couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of joy seeing him so happy. toji’s arm wrapped around your shoulders, pulling you closer, his warmth a comforting presence as you both watched your son’s imagination take off.
megumi squirmed with excitement, his eyes wide with wonder as he continued sharing his plans for halloween. his excitement was palpable, and it was heartwarming to see him so engaged and filled with anticipation for the spooky holiday ahead. toji chimed in with a smile, his voice filled with pride, “we’ll be the scariest family.”
you chuckled warmly at toji’s comment, your eyes sparkling with pride as you looked down at your little trickster, the light dusting of red on his cheeks betraying his emotions.
megumi was clearly brimming with anticipation and excitement, his gaze flickering between you and his father as he imagined all the spooky possibilities that halloween night held. he nodded eagerly, his small hands still fidgeting with the fabric of his costume. “we’re gonna scare everyone!” he declared with a grin, his small voice filled with a mixture of determination and delight.
you watched, a soft smile spreading across your face, as megumi wriggled his way down from your lap, his little hands gripping your knees for balance. his determination was written all over his face, brows furrowed with that serious concentration only kids seem to master, as he landed on his feet and looked up at you with a gleam in his eyes.
“i’m gonna find the best costume!” he declared, his tiny voice filled with such conviction that you couldn’t help but chuckle. then, without waiting for a reply, he started his short trek towards his bedroom, his steps determined but still slightly wobbly in his excitement.
“come on, mama!” he called, pausing just long enough to flash you and toji a grin before continuing his enthusiastic march.
toji chuckled beside you, his arm tightening around your shoulders as he pressed a warm kiss to the side of your head. “looks like he’s on a mission,” he murmured, his voice a mixture of pride and amusement. “he really does look so excited.”
you leaned into him, savoring the closeness as you both watched your little trickster disappear down the hallway. “i know,” you whispered, warmth filling your voice as you took in the happiness and energy he brought to the house.
“he’s going to be the most serious little monster on the block,” you added, a fond smile tugging at your lips. toji let out a soft chuckle, resting his chin atop your head. you laughed lightly, leaning into toji, enjoying the warmth of his embrace as you watched megumi toddle off. he looked so determined, already lost in planning for the best costume to outdo everyone else.
you nodded, a soft smile gracing your lips. “he really is,” you agreed to yourself, your voice filled with pride for your little boy.
toji tightened his arm around your shoulders, pulling you closer to him, the warmth of his body a comforting presence. he chuckled softly, his voice affectionate as he teased, “just like his mama.” his words were said with a warmth and familiarity that spoke of the deep bond you shared, not just as a couple, but as parents to this spirited little boy.
as megumi disappeared into his room, you turned to toji with a sigh of contentment. there was a soft, peaceful look in your eyes as you rested your head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. the warmth from his embrace seemed to envelop you entirely, making you feel safe and loved.
toji, feeling the shift in your energy, pressed a soft kiss to the top of your head, his free hand rubbing gentle circles on your back. words weren’t needed at this moment; the silence was filled with understanding and a deep sense of contentment. the two of you sat like that for a while, simply enjoying each other’s presence, before toji broke the silence. “he’s getting so big already,” he murmured, his voice filled with a mixture of pride and a hint of bittersweetness. “we won’t have these moments forever.”
you hummed softly, feeling the warmth of his hand on your back and the steady rise and fall of his chest beneath your cheek. there was a comfort in the silence, a quiet exchange of love that didn't need words. but as toji’s voice broke through, his words struck a chord, pulling at your heartstrings in a way that made you realize just how fleeting these moments truly were.
slowly, you lifted your head from his chest, meeting his gaze with a gentle smile. “then we’d better go see what our little monster is planning for his grand debut,” you said, a glint of playfulness in your eyes as you nudged his side, feeling the warmth of his arm around you.
toji chuckled warmly, his eyes twinkling with amusement at your playful nudge. “absolutely,” he agreed, his voice filled with a mix of anticipation and excitement. he held your gaze for a moment longer, his hand resting on your shoulder, before slowly standing up, pulling you to your feet alongside him. “who knows what kind of mischief our little rascal has planned.”
with a shared smile, the two of you made your way down the hallway towards megumi’s room.

Pipsqueak's Halloween
Ellie Carpenter x Daniëlle van de Donk x Child!Reader
Summary: The seventh of my Halloween-centric fics
When Ellie first found out how seriously you and Daan took Halloween, she hadn't expected this.
She'd expected some trick or treating, of course. Maybe some horror movies, child appropriate obviously. There may have been pumpkin carving but Ellie hadn't ever considered she would be sitting in the car by herself.
She drums the side of the steering wheel, eyes narrowed as she leans forward to check through the windscreen.
All the other families she spies aren't you and Daan.
It wouldn't be difficult to spot either of you.
You're both wearing very stupid Teletubby onesies that makes you stick out from a mile away.
But, yet, you're both nowhere to be found until maybe half an hour (and two packets of skittles) later when Ellie spots one red and one green furry onesie come sprinting up the road.
Daan's yelling something that Ellie can't hear, mouth moving.
Ellie frowns, trying to lip read.
You're yelling something too.
You can't quite keep up with Daan's pace, you're still a kid after all, but Daan's half tugging you along, a tight grip on your hand.
In the end, Ellie loses the lip reading battle and just rolls down the window, sticking her head out of it.
"What?!"
"Start the car!"
"What?!"
"Start the car!"
"Huh?"
"The car!" You interrupt, opening Ellie's door and clambering in, climbing over her to go tumbling into the back," Start it!"
Ellie barely has any time to react as Daan also uses her now open door to climb in. She hauls herself over Ellie's body, slamming the door shut at the same time on her way to the front passenger seat.
"Start the car!" You both snap at her as you spy someone else come running down the street towards you.
"Okay, okay," Ellie says," We're going. We're going."
She throws the car in reverse, backing out of her parking spot as the man who ran after you yells and shakes his fist.
"Did-Did you two do something to him?" Ellie asks," He looked pretty angry."
"I don't know," Daan says," Some people just have those kind of faces. It was nothing."
"Really? He was pretty angry."
"Some people just don't know how to take a joke, Ellie," You say from the backseat.
Ellie frowns, angling her rear view mirror to look at you properly.
You've got the same innocent, butter wouldn't melt in your mouth smile that you wore when Ellie found all of her bras hidden under the sofa cushions and her phone chargers in the back of the fridge.
"Alright," She says, slamming on the breaks," What did you two do? Huh? What did you do this time?"
Ellie isn't used to being the voice of reason of the family.
That's normally Daan, which is another surprising thing for people outside of the family to realise. But Daan's been your mother for years now and she's used to all your tricks and even though she can be a bit childish herself, she's still trying to raise you as a functioning member of society.
So, usually, Daan is the voice of reason in the family.
Especially on occasions where she catches you and Ellie attacking each other with Nerf guns in the early hours of the morning.
But there are times, like this one, where Daan's childish side comes out and Ellie comes to the startling realisation that two Van de Donks is maybe two too many.
"Ellie, you're in the middle of the street," You say, still smiling innocently at her," You can't park here."
"There's no cars coming," Ellie says," And stop deflecting. What did you do?"
"Ellie," Daan says, wearing a matching smile," Why do you think we did something?"
"Because men running after you down the street, you demanding I make a break for it, all on Halloween means you were up to something."
You giggle. "You're so silly, Ellie. Turn right here."
"Are you really giving me orders right now?" Ellie deadpans," We're not moving until you tell me what happened."
"That's fine," You say," We can walk."
Ellie switches on the locks.
"We egged his house!" You say instantly and Daan groans.
"You weren't supposed to tell her!"
"You egged his house?!"
"Yes," Daan says," She just told you that."
"You-You can't go egging people's houses! It's wrong! It takes ages to clean up and-and that man had a right to be angry with you!"
From the backseat, you shrug.
"Yeah and people shouldn't be getaway drivers for people who egg other people's houses. I guess we've all been incriminated here."

Written for @faithshouseofchaos who requested some Halloween fluff with Daniel and his kids.
Halloween had always been one of your and Daniel's favorite holidays of the year. You always roped him into doing couples’ Halloween costumes, and the love the pair of you had for the holiday only grew when your son, Ethan, came along and you basically had a mini Daniel to dress up too.
The first year he was born, you had gone as a cowboy and cowgirl, with your son in a little cow onesie, which was loved by everyone on socials and at the party you’d been invited to. The second year, you’d gone as Alan and Ellie from Jurassic Park, with Ethan as a little dinosaur. The third year, it was Shaggy, Velma, and Ethan as Scooby-Doo. The fourth year, much to all of your disappointment, Ethan was sick with an ear infection. As much as you hated missing out on a year of dressing up together as a family, you enjoyed it just as much snuggled up on the couch, eating candy and watching The Nightmare Before Christmas with him and Daniel. Then Rosie came along, this was her first Halloween.
Eventually, you knew the time would come when Ethan wouldn’t want to do costumes with you and Daniel anymore, so you cherished each Halloween you did have. This year, before you’d had a chance to even ask your son what he wanted to be, two weeks before Halloween, he approached you. He wanted to be just like his dad, matching race suit and all, and at his request, he wanted you to be his teammate and be just like Uncle Max. Obviously he’d roped his baby sister Rosie into it too. You weren’t sure how you were going to find a race suit for a six month old!
You weren’t sure how Daniel was going to take it; you knew he’d been struggling since he’d left F1, but you also couldn’t say no to your son. So that’s how you ended up the night before Halloween sewing multiple patches and ironing on transfers of various sponsors on not one but two race suits you’d bought online. For Rosie you settled on a couple of iron on transfers stuck to a baby grow. Honestly, you’d surprised yourself at how well you’d hidden the project from him, especially with how nosey Daniel could be at times.
Finally, you hung up the costumes and snapped a few photos, proud to show off your work as soon as your husband got to see the costumes. You couldn’t wait to see the look on Ethan’s face when he saw the costumes the next morning.
Ethan ran into your room that morning, “Happy Halloween,” he yelled as he began jumping up and down on the bed, causing Daniel to let out a groan as he grabbed his son and began tickling him.
Rosie began gurgling and making cooing noises and you knew your idea of sleeping in was not going to happen. Daniel set down Ethan as he grabbed Rosie and held her against his hip bouncing her up and down.
“Can we show him, momma, can we?” your son practically bounced in your husband’s arms.
Daniel looked between the pair of you. “Show me what, sweetheart?” he asked.
“Our costumes, Dad!” he responded as if it were the most obvious thing in the world and with a little too much attitude for a four-year-old.
You smiled at your son and nodded, “come on then.” You walked over to your husband and daughter, kissing her on your cheek before you grabbed her from your husband, “I’ll be needing this one too.”
Daniel shook his head as he made his way out of the bedroom to get started on breakfast for the four of you.
Ethan practically squealed as he saw his little race suit, covered with the big Red Bull logo on the front. But where Daniel’s name should have been next to the small Australian flag was Ethan’s. Next to it was your own matching suit, with your name also printed on the waistband.
You got into your suit first, knowing the surprise would be ruined in 10 seconds if you’d dressed Ethan first, and then got him changed, too. Ethan just about stood still long enough for you to snap a few photos of him alone and then the both of you together before he was begging you to let him out to show his dad.
He held out his hand for yours as you both made your way downstairs to where you could hear Daniel making coffee for you both. “Close your eyes, Daddy!” Ethan yelled as you got to the bottom of the stairs.
The pair of you walked into the kitchen slowly as Daniel waited, eyes closed as instructed. “Open them, Daddy!”
Slowly, Daniel opened his eyes and blinked a few times as he cleared his vision. You chewed on your lip as you waited nervously for his reaction.
“I’m you, Daddy!” Ethan squealed as he ran into his dad’s side and hugged against his leg. Daniel easily picked him up and sat him on his lap, knowing he’d be too big for it soon but cherishing every moment like that he could with his son.
“Look at you, little racer!” Daniel’s smile was huge as he walked toward you. “And look at you, pretty momma,” he whispered in your ear as he pulled you into the hug. He took Rosie from your arms, and he squealed as he tickled her, “and look at you Rosie!”
“You like it?” you asked, nervously.
“You all look amazing,” he responded as he placed a kiss on your cheek. “This is the best Halloween surprise ever.”

billie x reader halloween fic with their baby girl! maybe reader and billie go in mike wazowski/ sully onesies and their baby going as boo🥹
Monstrous Love
Summary: Billie, the reader, and their daughter Lily, dressed as Mike, Sully, and Boo, go trick-or-treating on Halloween night. Lily charms everyone with her costume, and Billie and the reader cherish the sweet moments together as a family.
Warnings: None, just pure fluff!
Word Count: ~500 words
Halloween night had arrived, and the living room was filled with excited giggles as you slipped into your big, plush Sully onesie. The material was soft and cozy, and as you pulled the hood over your head, you could see Billie fumbling with her own costume in the mirror across the room. She wore a bright green Mike Wazowski onesie, complete with a giant single eye on the hood and tiny horns at the top. It suited her in the most hilariously adorable way, and you couldn’t help but laugh as she struggled to get the eye to sit just right.
“Stop laughing, you blue furball,” Billie muttered, sticking her tongue out playfully. She turned to you with a mock glare but couldn’t keep a straight face. You pulled her into a hug, and she leaned into you with a contented sigh, her arms wrapping around your waist.
“Alright, where’s our Boo?” you whispered, glancing around the room.
At that moment, Lily toddled in, clutching her favorite stuffed animal. Dressed in a little pink T-shirt and purple leggings, with her hair tied in two tiny pigtails with matching pink bows, she was the spitting image of Boo. Her chubby cheeks were rosy with excitement, and her big eyes lit up as she saw the two of you in your costumes.
“Baba! Mama!” she squealed, clapping her hands. She toddled over as fast as her little legs could carry her, reaching up for Billie, who instantly scooped her up.
“Are you ready to go trick-or-treating, Boo?” Billie cooed, kissing her forehead. Lily nodded enthusiastically, patting Billie’s face as if to make sure her mama was real.
You chuckled, reaching out to gently tug on one of Lily’s pigtails. “Come on, monster fam. Let’s go show the world the cutest Boo there ever was.”
Walking through the neighborhood was like stepping into a storybook. Pumpkins glowed on every porch, skeletons hung from trees, and children in costumes of all kinds dashed from house to house. You held Billie’s hand tightly, while Billie cradled Lily against her hip, the three of you drawing attention wherever you went.
Each time you approached a door, Billie would make a goofy monster face at Lily, who would squeal and bury her face in her mama’s shoulder, only to peek out with a giggle as soon as someone opened the door. The neighbors cooed over Lily, offering her tiny candies that she clutched with all her might, her little fingers sticky as she tried to hold them all.
“Mommy! Mommy!” she babbled, her eyes wide with wonder as a group of kids in spooky costumes ran by. She pointed excitedly, her gaze shifting between you and Billie as if to share every little thing she saw.
Halfway down the block, Billie gave you a playful nudge. “Can you believe how obsessed everyone is with her?” she whispered, grinning. “I mean, I knew she was cute, but…”
You laughed, squeezing her hand. “She takes after you,” you teased, making Billie roll her eyes.
By the time you finished making rounds, Lily was starting to nod off, her little head resting on Billie’s shoulder. She clutched a lollipop in one sticky hand, refusing to let it go even as her eyes began to droop. You reached out, gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face, your heart swelling at the sight.
When you finally arrived back home, Billie carefully laid Lily down on the couch, covering her with a soft blanket. She gazed at your sleeping daughter with a soft smile, brushing a hand over her tiny fingers.
“She was perfect tonight,” Billie whispered, looking up at you with a mixture of exhaustion and pure joy.
You nodded, wrapping an arm around Billie’s shoulders and pulling her close. “Couldn’t have asked for a better Halloween,” you murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek. “Our little Boo stole the show.”
With one last glance at your sleeping Lily, you and Billie snuggled up on the couch together, still dressed in your onesies, hearts full and grateful for the perfectly imperfect family you’d built.

I need a fic of dad!matt x reader with their kids Halloween 😩 I just know he’d go all out for his kids. Carving pumpkins, dressing up with them, posing with them for all the cute photos, taking them trick or treating, and letting them eat too much candy while they watch a family movie together to end the night 🧡🧡🧡🥰🥰🥰
a bit late, but hope you like it! <3
Trick or Treat ➵ Matt Sturniolo
It was late October, and the air had turned crisp with a hint of autumn leaves drifting on the wind. Halloween was only a day away, and your house was buzzing with excitement. Matt had been planning for this day since the beginning of the month. Halloween was practically his Super Bowl, and with June, Luna, and Cody to celebrate with, he was more than ready to go all out.
Morning: Pumpkin Carving
You were just finishing breakfast when you saw Matt bringing in a bunch of pumpkins he’d picked out—three for the kids and one large one for him to carve alongside them. The twins, June and Luna, let out squeals of excitement, while Cody clapped his chubby little hands from his high chair, eyes wide at the sight of the bright orange pumpkins.
“Alright, who’s ready to make the best jack-o’-lanterns on the block?” Matt grinned, rubbing his hands together like a mischievous villain.
The girls jumped up and down, yelling, “Us! Us!” Cody let out an enthusiastic shriek, waving his arms, clearly just as excited even if he didn’t quite understand what was going on yet.
You set up a little pumpkin carving station outside, laying out newspaper, tools, and aprons for the kids. Matt took it upon himself to help each child scoop out the pumpkin guts, laughing with them as they giggled at the squishy, slimy texture.
“Look, Daddy! Mine has a silly face!” Luna said proudly, pointing at the big grin she’d managed to make with Matt’s help.
“Mine’s scary!” June chimed in, showing off her pumpkin with jagged teeth and big eyes.
Meanwhile, Cody had managed to get more pumpkin on himself than in his own pumpkin, his hands and face smeared with the orange goop. Matt chuckled, reaching over to clean him up, though he couldn’t resist taking a few pictures of Cody in his messy pumpkin glory.
Finally, with everyone’s pumpkins carved and ready, you helped Matt set them up on the front porch. As the kids admired their work, you snuck a glance at Matt, who was looking proudly at the three little pumpkins lined up in a row.
“They did such a good job, didn’t they?” he said, voice soft with pride.
“They really did,” you replied, giving his hand a squeeze. Watching Matt with the kids always filled you with such warmth, and it was clear this was the kind of thing he’d dreamed about for years.
Afternoon: Costume Time
When the pumpkin carving was done, it was time for the next big event—costumes. Matt had spent weeks coordinating a family costume theme, and after much deliberation, he’d settled on a classic: you and he would be superheroes, while the kids would be their little sidekicks.
The twins squealed with excitement as they put on their matching capes and tiny masks. Cody was in his own little onesie costume, and even though he was too young to understand what was happening, he seemed to love all the attention. You and Matt donned your superhero outfits, complete with matching capes and masks, looking every bit the dynamic duo alongside your little team.
Once everyone was dressed, Matt insisted on taking photos. He set up the camera and posed with each kid individually, then with all of you together, his grin wider than ever as he held Cody on one arm and the twins held onto his other hand.
“Alright, everyone say ‘BOO!’” he shouted, and you all did, laughing as the camera snapped.
Evening: Trick-or-Treating
Finally, it was time for trick-or-treating. As the sun began to set, you and Matt took the kids out around the neighborhood, joining a crowd of families walking from door to door, bags in hand. Matt was in his element, showing off the kids’ costumes to neighbors and encouraging them to say “trick-or-treat” at every doorstep.
June and Luna took turns shouting “Trick or treat!” while Cody toddled along, holding Matt’s hand as he tried to keep up with his older sisters. Every time he received a piece of candy, his eyes lit up, and he looked up at Matt with an expression of pure delight.
When you stopped by a house decorated with spooky lights and a fog machine, Matt playfully crouched down, pretending to be scared. “Whoa, look at that! So spooky!” he said, feigning terror.
The girls giggled, and June tugged on his sleeve, reassuring him, “It’s okay, Daddy, we’ll protect you.”
You couldn’t help but smile at the sight of Matt pretending to be scared for their amusement, his goofy grin showing just how much he loved every second of this night.
By the time you made it back home, their candy bags were bursting, and their eyes were wide with excitement despite the sleepy expressions starting to show.
Night: Family Movie and Candy Overload
Back home, you helped the kids get out of their costumes, washing off any lingering makeup and getting them settled into pajamas. Matt grabbed a few bowls and let each of them pick out their favorite candies to munch on as you all snuggled up on the couch for a Halloween movie marathon.
With Cody cuddled on Matt’s lap and the twins curled up beside you, the family movie night began. You all watched as classic Halloween cartoons played on the screen, with the kids giggling and gasping at the spooky but silly scenes.
When the movie ended, Matt leaned over, a soft smile on his face as he looked down at the three kids, all nodding off one by one. He gently tucked Cody into the crook of his arm and helped guide the girls’ heads to lean against you, their eyes closing as they fell asleep, their little hands still clutching half-eaten pieces of candy.
You looked at him, a warm feeling spreading through your chest. “This was the perfect Halloween, Matt.”
He smiled, leaning in to press a kiss to your forehead. “It really was. I’d do this every night if it meant seeing them this happy.”
You leaned against him, watching the kids as they slept, candy wrappers and empty bowls surrounding you, and in that moment, you knew that these were the moments you’d remember forever.

in honour of halloween, imagine when all the guys and moms get together to take their kids trick or treating and willy’s baby is a little too small to walk so they take it trick or treating in a cute onesie costume oh my goshhhh
Oh babe, I’m in such a Dad!Willy mood at the moment and this is so perfect 😍
Please allow me introduce Eliot’s first Halloween - and please don’t judge me too much for allowing a less than a year old to try chocolate 🙈👻 happy late Halloween ❤️ (yes, William will be forced to dress up even though he’s not really into it 😂)

A Spooktacular First Halloween 🎃 | dad!willy x reader ✐
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden-orange and violet glow across the neighbourhood as Halloween night officially began. The crisp autumn air carried the earthy scent of fallen leaves, and you couldn’t help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves. This was Eliot’s first Halloween, and you’d spent the past hour putting together costumes, arranging sweets, and hanging decorations around the house, hoping to make it memorable. Finally, you scooped Eliot into your arms, his tiny jack-o’-lantern costume puffed up around him, and smiled.
“Alright, little pumpkin,” you said warmly, adjusting the small green hat on his head, “are you ready for your first Halloween adventure?”
Eliot, barely a year old, looked up with wide blue eyes that sparkled with curiosity. A giggle escaped him as he reached for the soft, round fabric of his costume. The oversized onesie was perfect, with its cute jack-o’-lantern face on the front and his little hat bouncing slightly as he moved. And as you finished adjusting his outfit, William entered the room with a grin, dressed as a scarecrow. He wore a plaid shirt with frayed edges, a floppy hat, and patches sewn onto his jeans. Straw poked out from under his shirt cuffs, giving him a charming, rustic look. You couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of him.
You knew William wasn’t always a fan of dressing up, but he’d made an exception this year. After all, it was Eliot’s first Halloween, and you’d convinced him to join in by going as a “dead farmer’s girl to match his costume. He looked every bit the part, and you could see he was having fun with it, too.
“There’s my little pumpkin,” William cooed, reaching over to tickle Eliot’s chin, making him squeal with laughter. “Ready for harvesting?”
“Who knew my boyfriend could look this adorable in straw and patches?” you teased, straightening his shirt. “You’re really pulling that off.”
“Just trying to keep up with our little pumpkin here,” he replied, chuckling as he held Eliot’s tiny hand. Eliot clutched his father’s finger, his blue eyes wide with wonder as he took in the costumes around him. “Besides, they don’t call me ‘Styles’ for nothing - I can pull anything off, baby.”
“Oh, I’m sure you can.”
You laughed, feeling that warm mix of love and joy for this wonderful, slightly ridiculous man who was now both your partner and the father of your child.
Then gathering up Eliot’s tiny candy bucket, you made your way to the car, where William had packed a few extra treats for the evening ahead. You settled Eliot into his car seat, and soon, you were off to a friend’s house—a teammate’s wife who always hosted the Halloween gatherings.
As you arrived, the glow of carved pumpkins, cobweb-covered bushes, and a life-sized skeleton greeted you at the entrance. Inside, the house was buzzing with laughter, excited chatter, and the squeals of costumed children running about, clutching their sweets. Aryne Tavares welcomed you in with a warm smile, guiding you to where the other families had gathered in the spacious living room.
Parents and kids alike were dressed up in every imaginable costume, from fairies and superheroes to tiny vampires. Each child eagerly showed off their outfit, and Eliot’s pumpkin onesie was met with delighted laughter and adoring comments. He took it all in with big eyes, captivated by the bright costumes and cheerful faces around him. For a moment, he simply stared, his mouth open in awe, before giving an excited babble.
Once everyone was assembled, Aryne clapped her hands, corralling the lively bunch of parents and kids. “Alright, trick-or-treaters!” she announced. “We’re heading down the main street, then looping back. For the littler ones, we’ll take turns carrying them if they get tired.”
“Sounds perfect,” you said with a smile, glancing down at Eliot, who was babbling away, completely clueless but clearly delighted by all the fuss.
The group made their way down the street together, and you held Eliot close, his tiny bucket clutched in one hand. He gazed at the houses around him, each one decked out in spooky decorations, flickering jack-o’-lanterns, and even a few dancing skeletons.
At the first house, the older children bounded up the porch, shouting “trick or treat!” Eliot looked on in amazement, his eyes widening as a friendly neighbour cooed over him, dropping a handful of candy into his bucket.
“Oh, look at this little pumpkin!” she said, reaching down to ruffle Eliot’s hat. His face lit up with delight, his tiny hand reaching for the candy wrappers as he babbled with excitement.
House after house, Eliot’s amazement only grew. He was entranced by the glowing lanterns, fluttering fake bats, and the cheerful shouts of his friends. Sometimes he pointed, sometimes he babbled, and every so often, he reached out to clutch your finger, completely absorbed in the magic of Halloween.
You and William took turns carrying him, his tiny feet kicking with excitement each time a new, decorated porch came into view. Then after a while, William suggested a short break. “Let’s give our pumpkin a little rest,” he said, nodding toward a nearby bench.
You sat down, settling Eliot on your lap and offering him a small foil-wrapped chocolate from his bucket. He held it carefully, examining the shiny wrapper as though it was the most fascinating thing in the world. William chuckled, unwrapping it for him and handing him a small piece. Eliot took a tentative nibble, his face lighting up with surprise and joy as the taste of chocolate registered.
“First Halloween, first taste of chocolate,” William said softly, leaning back to take in the sight of his son enjoying this simple treat.
Eventually, the group returned to the Tavares house, and the kids gathered in the living room, tipping out their overflowing candy buckets onto the carpet. Eliot crawled over to join them, his little fingers exploring the colourful pile in front of him, completely mesmerised.
William caught your gaze, a tender smile on his face. He leaned in close, his arm wrapping around your shoulders. “So, what do you say—maybe next year we’ll have two little pumpkins to dress up?”
You knew William had been ready for a bigger family ever since Eliot came along. The way he lit up when he held Eliot, his unwavering patience, and the joy he got from every tiny milestone Eliot reached—there was no question. But you also knew that his career still took up so much of his time and energy, so you’d quietly agreed with yourself to hold off just a little longer. Besides, you often had to remind him that he wasn’t the one who’d have to carry the baby and go through the whirlwind of pregnancy and childbirth.
So, with a playful nudge, you gave him an exasperated look and smirked. “Let’s just focus on handling this one, alright, tiger?”
He laughed, pressing a gentle kiss to your temple. “Fair enough. But I can’t wait.”
As Eliot’s giggles filled the room and the laughter of friends surrounded you, a warmth settled deep in your chest. Watching William with Eliot and sharing this moment with friends, you knew this Halloween—this first, special Halloween—would forever hold a treasured place in your heart.

I know it’s post Halloween, but what was the Price family holiday like? Did they do a family costume? Did Price strategize with the boys so they could hit all the houses and maximize the candy amount?
no, because all the dad!price inboxes are making me SMILE.
i definitely think when the two of you are new parents to the first born, you’ll do a matching costume all together. but as they get older it’s a little harder to coordinate, each boy having a different fixation and interest - but this year the boys seemed to all agree on pirates. so, the three boys all dressed in various accessories from eye patches, swords - you name it. price fitting well into his roll as captain with the hat that sat on his head.
as for your daughter, since she was a newborn it was easier to dress her up in a bear onesie price had bought her one day. excited, he had come home with the little outfit in his hands and eager to put her in it. ‘little cub’ quickly becoming his new nickname for her. you on the other hand this year were far too tired to put effort into a costume. the only accessory decorating your body was price’s bucket hat - which your sons urged you to put on to look like a zoo keeper if their little sister was a cub.
the price boys gathered at the kitchen table while middle child doodles on a piece of paper. the various colors covering the page indicated different locations in your neighborhood. price, who stood near the table as the boys hunch over the table to look at the map, pointed to where they should start.
and as you held your daughter in your hands, standing in the door way as the boys of the house made their way down the walkway to the street. “be careful please.” you look at price, who turns to look down at you and his little girl.
“i’ll be with them the whole time,” he leans down to kiss your forehead. “stop worryin’ that pretty head.” he smiles before looking at your daughter who is reaching to tug at the ears of her onesie. “protect mommy while i’m gone.” her eyes glancing up at her father before a toothless grin forms on her face, hands now reaching for him. price chuckles, reaching to grab her tiny wrist to place a kiss into her palm.
“not sure how scary she’ll be protecting me.” you chuckle, kissing the little girls cheek before nodding towards the boys at the end of your front years. “c’mon, their waiting for their captain to lead them.” teasing, but lips met with his before he walks away, the kiss taking you by surprise.
“my treasure is in our bed tonight.” he murmurs, before heading to go trick or treating with the boys.

Blue Lock: Halloween Costume Headcanons
Pt 2
Tokimitsu was 100% dressed as moomin troll at least once as a toddler
Isagi always wore a Noel Noa costume when he was little, but now just wears the generic store bought ones.
Isagis parents showed the photos of his costume to Noa when they eventually met him, and he didn't know whether to be endeared or disturbed.
Lavinho still dresses up, and his costume is different every year.
Dad!Lavinho would probably do family costumes.
Gagamaru has never dressed up for Halloween in his life. First time he dresses up, it’s a bear onesie.
Ness used to wear his wizard costume on Halloween every year, until he gave into the insults of his parents and siblings and just didn’t get any joy from it anymore.
Kaiser doesn’t dress up for Halloween because he thinks it’s stupid and a waste of money.
Niko has old photos from when he was a baby, of his parents and him in matching costumes.
Although we don’t know anything personal about Charles’ siblings, I like to think that he’s really close with his eldest sister. She made him a Cheshire Cat costume, and herself an Alice costume.(if you’re confused, look at his egoist bible page)
(Sorry this was late, I was busy)
If you marked the last one, let me know what fandom and what type of headcannons/rants.

Bewitched | Nesta x/& Reader
Day 17: Trick or Treating w/ Nyx Archeron
Day 18: Yarn w/ Nesta Archeron
Summary: Nyx’s Halloween costume doesn’t fit; you and Nesta have a solution.
Word Count: ~1.2k
Warnings: Feyre being a tired mama, mentions of spiders, witches, halloweeeeeeen
A/N: just decided to combine these two prompts bc I didn’t have the energy to write two whole separate ones, can be read as platonic or romantic for Nesta, hope you enjoy<3
Requests are open!
You heard a long, frustrated groan from Feyre’s direction, Nyx’s cries soon to follow.
“What is it?”
You asked, walking into the room, putting your Halloween decorating on pause for the moment as you walked into the little nursery that had been decorated with stars and clouds hung up, modeling Velaris, with a mural of the three large mountain tops of Illyria.
You walked in, only to be met with the sight of Nyx halfway into a little bat onesie costume that was just too small for him. Just barely. It wasn’t even too small, it was just that the material around the waist wasn’t stretchy enough to allow it over his chubby body, the rest was perfectly fine.
He was wailing, small fists batting away his mother’s hands that were picking him up. Feyre looked beyond frustrated, and you walked over, slowly pulling the costume off.
“It just won’t fit. I’ve tried everything, but he’s too big.”
She said in a defeated tone, and you held the costume up in front of you, frowning with a hum.
“I can try to fix it. No promises, but if I could sow it in time then…..”
Your voice trailed off, a hopeful gleam appearing in the High Lady’s eyes as she tried to stop Nyx from crying, cooing to him as Rhys appeared in the doorway, striding over and picking the screeching child up, rocking him back and forth in his arms, kissing Feyre on the cheek.
“Give me, like, 15 minutes.”
You said, neatly folding the costume and running off to find your sewing kit. It had been passed down through generations in the family, but as you reached your room, digging through everything, you couldn’t find it.
There was only one other place it could be.
On a good day, you would’ve knocked beforehand, but there wasn’t much time with the sun already setting, so you just barged into Nesta’s room, frantically glancing around. She was seated on a loveseat in front of a vanity, pinning her braided hair up in a crest around her head.
“Ever heard of knocking?”
She asked coolly, and you sighed.
“Do you have my sewing kit?”
You asked quickly. She pursed her lips in thought, before getting up, digging through the closet of her room for a moment or two, and pulling the antique box out. You thanked the Mother, murmuring under your breath, as you grabbed it and sat down on her bed, opening it and unfolding the costume that had been tucked under your arm.
“What is that?”
She asked, waving a hand at the black blob of fabric sitting next to you.
“Nyx’s costume. It didn’t fit him, so I figured I could fix it up. Been a while since I’ve last sewn, though.”
She let out a hum, taking a glance at the costume again, before going back to doing her hair. She was putting quite a bit of effort into it, it seemed.
You pulled out a needle from the little pin-cushion you had in the box, choosing some black thread from a little roll, and giving yourself at least a foot of it to work with before licking the end of the string to make it easier to thread it through the eye of the needle.
After a few unsuccessful attempts, you celebrated your victory with a quiet whoop, getting right to work on the costume. A few scraps of fabric were pulled from the box, perfectly matching the fabric of the costume.
Nesta finished with her hair, glancing at your fabrics, confusion flitting across her sharp features as she arched a brow.
“You have the exact same type of fabric?”
She asked doubtfully, getting up from her seat, and walking over to her closet.
“The box is magical, or enchanted more like. That’s why it’s been passed down so long through my family. It’ll match perfectly with whatever fabric you’re already using.”
Nesta closed the closet door, but you were too preoccupied snipping and sewing away to think anything of it.
“How’d they get it?”
You thought for a moment, trying to recall any explanation you’d been given for the magical sewing box.
“Well, there was never any concrete story, but rumor was that my great-grandma made a blanket of Stygian spider silk, and gave it to a witch in exchange for the box.”
“She sounds like a badass.”
“Yeah. She was.”
You finished sewing up the costume just as Nesta stepped out of the closet, a black, corseted dress with layers of thin black material following her almost like a cape, a broom in hand, and a large pointy hat on her head. You choked on your spit.
She grinned.
“Thought I’d get in the Halloween spirit. What do you think?”
She asked, giving a little twirl, and you could only blink as heat rushed to your cheeks.
“Mother above, you’re going to kill me.”
You muttered, getting up, and shutting the sewing box after depositing your materials back into it. Nesta laughed, following after you as you walked back to Nyx’s nursery room, where the baby was currently sitting on top of his dad’s head, giggling away while Rhys used his magic to shake toys in front of him.
Feyre was asleep on a rocking chair.
As he saw you coming, he smiled, holding a hand out for the costume, and when you gave it to him, he slowly picked Nyx up and put the little Illyrian down, taking his clothes off and putting the now-easily fitting costume on him.
“Perfect,”
He cooed at the baby, who giggled, hands grabbing at Rhys’ dark hair.
The holes in the back of the costume let the baby’s wings slip through, comically large bat ears attached to the hood flopping around. He looked adorable.
“Thank you,”
He whispered to you and Nesta as he picked Nyx up, gently nudging Feyre, who got up and rubbed her eyes before leaning against Rhys. The two of them walked outside, you accompanying Nesta.
The streets of Velaris were packed full of children in costumes, with all sorts of ‘creatures’ running around collecting candy in their buckets, bags, and pillowcases.
“Trick or treat!”
One child screamed in excitement at a door as you kept up with your group, watching all the decorations and lights strewn about. Nyx was blubbering about something while Cassian, grinning like an idiot, had the baby on his shoulders, walking up and collecting candy for Nyx. Rhys and Feyre stayed behind, watching with a lovesick look in their eyes. Azriel had stayed home, insisting that he wasn’t one for such large social gatherings either, and Elain was also dressed as a witch with Nesta, the two of them idly chatting while walking.
Elain eventually went home, talking about gardening and tending to her plants despite the late hour, leaving you and Nesta.
Soon enough, her hand slid into yours, and you were quite certain that you might have been a bit…bewitched.

Ingo and Emmet are wearing a matching caboose and engine car costume for Halloween, alongside the kids in similar costumes. Erin dressed as a passenger car while Inka and Emma opted to dress like their dad and uncle. The complete set shocked a few people at the trick or treat event the twins decided to host at the Gear Station. Elesa got a good laugh out of it at least.
Grimsley is dressing up as dracula since he liked to indulge the thought a bit for Halloween. Naturally, that means his two children should match him. Morrigan eagerly wears a cute vampire themed costume while Nero was to be convinced to do it. In the end, the vampire family who went trick or treating went viral online since people thought they actually were.
Cyrus and Lenie both ended up wearing somewhat related costumes. Cyrus went as an astronaut (to hide his face since he did not want to be seen trick or treating), and Lenie as an alien. Both accidentally unnerved every house they went to with their stern expressions and lack of tone in their voice. (Lenie insisted they matched since her Unovan pen pal did with his dad. Cyrus could only relent to her.)
Colress was excited about Prisma's request for matching costumes. Instantly, he went to mad scientist, but his daughter insisted on something else. So, he was currently an evil villain to her magical girl. Somehow, his mind drifted to a certain trainer from Unova when she sent out her Mawile to "defeat" him. She was recording this to upload. (They forgot to go trick or treating.)
Lear was excited to host a trick or treating event. Not only did it bring attention and funds, but he wanted to make his children happy. His suggestion for a royal family costume was shot down by his partner, but Regan and Cordelia seemed okay with it. So, he went a Halloween king and his children followed. Due to their celebrity status, their costumes were posted all over as they trick or treated.
Volo was a brave, brave man. While his suggestion for dressing as Arceus was shot down. Somehow, he ended up in a Togekiss onesie while Astrea wore a Togepi matching one. They explored this "trick or treating" activity together on Pasio. Volo was the object of many discussions. At least, he was very clearly a loving father.

Hello! How are you?
So, what kinda of costume does Millie would use on halloween? I just can imagine she on a costume very pastel or something like that lol!
(Also, I love your arts, your artstyle is so good-)
I’m doing just fine! I hope you’re doing amazing!
So I did both Og Millie and Actor Millie!
The rest of the Millie’s idk what costumes they’d do lol
But for Og Millie she would dress up as an Angel! Despite being a Cupid which is a type of Angel, she thinks those are two different species. So she’s dumb enough to dress up as her own species for the sake of matching Wally haha!
As for Actor Millie she’s a SUCKER for matching couple costumes! And obviously she would dress up at a demon to match Wally’s Angel costume! Though she also would have two different versions! One is family friendly, to wear for the show. And the other is far more sexy and suggestive because that’s just what she wants to wear!
I want to render the second drawing of actor Millie’s costume but for now y’all just get flat colors lol
Originally the costume designers for the show was gonna make Millie wear a devil onesie for the Halloween special. But if you know Millie, you’ll know damn well she is NOT gonna be caught wearing that. She’s REFUSING! She will not wear a costume unless she likes it. She’d be damned if she’s wearing pajamas for a recording. It’s an INSULT to even suggest she wears such a thing ✋🙄

Whether you celebrate it or not, I just want to let you all know that I am BEYOND grateful for each and everyone of you. Thank you for being here with me 🥰 I love you all so much! ❤️ Happy reading and enjoy! 💕
*Can be read in conjunction with the HLG series! 🦃
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Bradley planned a low-key Thanksgiving for the family. It was going to be a laid back and cozy night.
All the kids were asleep while all the adults started to make dinner. It was going to be an early night since everyone had to work early the next morning.
Austin made his famous stuffing. He had brought it the year prior and it had to be the best stuffing you and Bradley had ever had in your lives.
Phoenix made a a potato casserole along with some green beans.
Hangman worked on the turkey, making sure it was pure perfection. (Like himself)
You made mashed potatoes, gravy, and Mac and cheese.
Bradley started to set up the table. He put out the best cutlery you and him had in the house, as well as the best looking plates. The ones that weren’t stained nor microwaved burned from the men of the house.
Bradley wrote name tags for everyone and set each of them on a plate at the table. He grabbed a jar and labeled it “What I am Grateful For.” And placed it in the middle of the table.
“Thanksgiving dinner for brunch is the best idea we’ve ever came up with.” Hangman laughed as he was basting the turkey with broth and butter. “This baby is almost ready!”
Bradley laughed and smiled. “I am so ready to eat. I missed dinner last night so I could be an endless pit today.”
Phoenix scoffed as she finished laying out her dishes she repaired. “You’re always and endless pit, Bradshaw. You and your kids!” She slapped his shoulder as she set the dishes onto the table.
You came over and looked at the table. Bradley had set out some little pumpkins left over from Halloween. He lit a couple of candles, he set put the nice silverware and plates. He put out 2 variances of wine glasses. (Plastic ones for the kiddos) Each plate had everyone’s name on it. It was so cute and simple.
You kissed his cheek. “Thank you for setting the table, Brad.” You placed the Gravy onto the table as Bradley went to grab the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese.
As everyone started to lay their dishes onto the table, you and Bradley went upstairs to get the kiddies ready. Everyone decided that Thanksgiving themed pajamas were the move.
The boys wore matching turkey onesies, Leia wore a “bring on the leftovers” pajama, Bradley wore a pajama that was full of turkeys, you wore a pajama set that was covered in cute coffees, lattes, pies, and pumpkins.
You and Bradley brought down the kids. The boys were strong enough to start sitting on their own in their high chairs. So you and Bradley placed them into each of theirs. Leia pranced around and looked at all the food that was laid out for everyone.
“GOSH I AM SO HUNGRY!” Leia was so excited. “You and me both, sweetheart.” Bradley picked up Leia and kissed her cheek over and over again.
Everyone started to make their way downstairs.
Phoenix wore an oversized pajama set that said, “official pumpkin pie tester.”
Austin wore a grey pajama set with pumpkin pies all over it. (Hehehe)
Gunner came running into the kitchen with a onesie that had turkeys, pumpkins, and “happy thanksgiving” written all over it.
You all started to take a seat at the table. Bradley sat at the head of the table. You to the left of him. Next to you was Phoenix followed by Austin and then little Bradley in his high chair next to him. On the other side was going to be Leia, Jake, and then Luke in his high chair.
You were all seated and Bradley looked around for Jake.
“Seresin. Hurry the hell up!” You slapped Bradley’s arm and shook your head. “Sorry, sweetheart.” Bradley cleared his throat. “MOVE YOUR ASS, SERESIN!”
“IM COMING!” Jake yelled from the top of the stairs. You could all hear him making his ay down.
“HO-LY. SHIIIIIT.” Bradley, Leia, and Phoenix all said at the same time as Jake made his way down.
Hangman was in a big turkey onesie. He had the hood on and everything.
“That is one big Turkey.” Austin laughed as he looked at Jake.
“Gobble Gobble these nuts, Bradshaw.” Jake laughed and Bradley spit out his water.
“MY CHILDREN ARE IN THE ROOM.” He lunged for Leia’s ears.
Once you all sat down every one took turns writing what they were grateful for and placed it into the jar.
Bradley jumble the jar and everyone took turns asking out a paper and reading what was on it.
You were first, “I am grateful for being able to spend this holiday season (and everyday) with the people I love.” You smiled and looked around. Austin raised his hand. “Mine. I’m grateful to have you all in my life. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
You passed the jar to Phoenix. “I am grateful for being alive and being around those I love the most.” Phoenix looked straight at Bradley. Bradley smiled and nodded at Phoenix. “That be me. I love you guys.”
Phoenix passed the jar to Austin. “I am grateful for food.” Everyone looked slowly at Leia. She started to turn red and giggle. “I AM HUNGRY, OKAY!” She crossed her arms and scowled at everyone as you all laughed.”
Austin gave the jar to Leia. “I am grateful for all my friends and family.” Leia looked up at everyone. Phoenix put her finger up. “Me. I’m grateful for all of you. Life would have been lame if I wasn’t here with you all right now.” She looked at Hangman, “That includes you too, Bagman.” They both laughed.
Leia gave the jar to Hangman. “Here, Uncle Jakey.” He kissed her cheek and pulled out one of the folded papers. “I am grateful for the beautiful family I have been given.” You smiled, “I don’t know where i would have been if I hadn’t met or created any of you. I love you, guys.”
Jake reached over Leia and gave the jar to Bradley. “WELL. We all know who is left.” Jake laughed.
Bradley pulled out the last folded paper. “Let’s see what we’ve got here.” He looked down at it and his smile softened. He looked at Jake and gave him a little nod and he nodded back. Bradley sighed. “I am grateful for saving the man that saved me. Thank you Bradshaw for taking me in as one of your own after all these years. I don’t deserve you, buddy. I am thankful for being able to be a part of his and y/n’s family.” Bradley folded the paper back up and smiled at Hangman.
Jake pushed his lips together and smiled. “Of course you’d get mine. But it’s true. I’ll forever be grateful and thankful that you both have allowed me to be a part of your family. Thank you.” You got up and gave Jake a kiss on the cheek. Bradley smiled, “I couldn’t imagine a life without you, Turkeyman.”
Leia gave Jake a kiss. “I love you, uncle Jakey!”
After all the thanks were given you all ate together reminiscing on what the year had been so far. You were all grateful for everything you were given in the last 11 months.
After dinner, you all cozied up on the couches and Leia chose to watch ‘Addams Family Values.’ Her favorite part was when Wednesday sabotaged the play and burned down the thanksgiving set.
