Nothing says Autumn 🍂 like making homemade play dough. The recipe that we used is super easy, smells amazing and the kids loved it. You’ll need: 2 cups of plain (all purpose) flour 1 cup of salt 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar (can be found in the spice aisle) 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil To give our play dough an Autumn twist, we added applesauce and spices until the consistency was just right. We made two batches (doubled the recipe each time) and added food coloring in order to get a perfect autumn feel. For spices, we used grated cloves, ground ginger, ground cinnamon and grated nutmeg. You could even use canned pumpkin instead of applesauce. Once the kids were done playing with the play dough, we just put it in airtight plastic containers and it’ll be perfect for hours of learning and play.
