couldn't sleep tonight (chronic pain sucks) so i wrote a very long lore page for fallon. who's been neglected and ignored because my muse was non-existent for months

Growing up, Fallon felt like a commodity and a product to make her family money. The one friendship she had that grounded her was Dakota’s — he was allowed to just be a kid without the pressure of having a career from birth. She spent whatever time she could with him at his house just to know what it felt like to be a part of a semi-functional family unit. Although his parents were rarely home due to their own busy careers, the children’s only job was to go to school and do whatever extra curricular’s they wanted.

The Fuimaono’s lived on a gorgeous property by the water in Malibu, and practically lived at the beach. Fallon was amazed that she could spend so many hours in the sand, unstructured, listening to Dakota’s mundane stories about homework and class projects with fascination. She’s seen a lot of what he talked about in tv shows and movies, but never got to experience it herself. Trigonometry homework, detention for skipping class , prom … all of it was interesting. Even getting grounded for a weekend was amusing to her because she didn’t know that was an actual thing that happened in real life.

When things ended between then, she was devastated because not only did she lose a boyfriend, but one of the only long standing friendships she’s ever had. Didn’t help that she wasn’t allowed to speak to him directly, only through representatives, as the higher ups thought it would be “messy” to allow contact. Pretty much every attempt at communication went unanswered and ignored. She was also not allowed to directly say that he was unfaithful to her in her music. Had to skirt around it by using vague descriptions to avoid violating a clause in their signed NDA’s. It deeply hurt her to know that their shared management firm was prioritizing him, simply because he was the more valuable asset who could meet their financial goals much quicker. Didn't matter that she'd been working since before she was fully conscious of her own personhood – all of that was apparently frivolous in comparison to her ex-boyfriend's monumental accomplishments in sports. Never mind that her star power played a huge role in his marketability. Nor that she had been in the game for over two decades longer.

Fallon will never in her life date another high-profile man because she doesn’t trust them. She knows that in any circumstance, their male privilege will act as a shield to their own wrongdoings, and does not ever want to be made to feel the way she did during that whole process. By swearing off men who are of equal (or greater) social status, she ensures that she’ll never feel powerless again. She's honestly so paranoid of being lied to, gaslit, manipulated etc that she mostly just ignores them.
