My first play through and the inspiration for my series Commander Faith Shepard. My soul survivor, my force of nature and all round mess of a human!

"You weren’t there when Cerberus put me back together. You weren’t there when they decided I was nothing more than a weapon. Some sort of tool to be patched up so I could keep fighting their damn wars. They took away my humanity, my choices, my life! And all I could do was accept it. I didn’t get a say, and I certainly didn’t get a choice.”

Her voice broke, and she hated herself for it, but she couldn’t stop. She had wanted to be left alone and now this stranger had pushed her to damn near breaking point.

“And now you want me to sit here and talk about how ‘it’s okay to grieve’ like that’s supposed to just make everything better?”

“Shepard, I’m just trying to—” 

“You have no idea what it’s like,” Shepard cut her off, her words like daggers. “You have no idea what it’s like to wake up and find out you’ve lost two years of your life. Two years where everything you knew, everything you loved, was gone. And the world didn’t just move on; it fucking buried you."
