Embracing Growth and Manifesting Greatness: Goodbye 2024, Hello 2025

Dear 2024, You’ve been a year of change—some good, some challenging, but all meaningful in their own way. You’ve taught me to embrace the uncomfortable, to stay in my own lane, and to prioritize my expectations above anyone else’s.

This year reminded me of my strength as an independent BLACK woman. I’ve accomplished so much, and I’m learning to not just see but own that truth. From enduring a tough work environment to essentially running the show, I’ve grown into the ultimate leader of my life and surroundings.

God, I’m so grateful for the woman I’m becoming and the one I’m destined to be. Each day brings me closer to her.

As I step into 2025 in just a few hours, here’s what I’m claiming for myself: ✨ Acceptance into my PhD program ✨ A raise or promotion ✨ Falling in love with my equal (my husband) ✨ Dropping 50 lbs ✨ Buying my new car ✨ Starting a podcast or YouTube channel ✨ Deepening my relationship with the Creator ✨ Reading a new book every month ✨ TRAVEL, TRAVEL, TRAVEL

Walking into 2025, I’m not asking for too much—just a life that continues to grow and expand in beautiful ways. As I get older, conversations shift toward marriage and kids. Trust, I want that too—but in the right way, in divine order. I’ve seen others rushed into relationships or parenthood, and I know my path is different.

God, as I embrace 2025, help me grow into an even better version of myself. I want to fully embrace my femininity, strengthen my faith, and walk confidently in my purpose. Watch over me and guide me through the next 365 days.

PS: My MawMaw is battling cancer, but I believe in her strength. She has to make it through so we can take that four-generation picture with my daughter one day. Please, Allah, hold her close and grant her healing.
