Hoe! Hoe! Hoe! Naughty Night!

Hello and welcome to my Christmas AUvent Calendar! Every day from now until the 24th I will be posting a ficlet that is 500-1500 from an AU I've done over the years.

All stories will be marked with the tag #12 aus of christmas so you can follow along as I will only be tagging my permanent list for this (it would get too confusing otherwise).

The next one on our list is: Stripper verse. You can read the story here. All links will be to the first chapter, but the chapter itself will have links to the rest of the story.

Eddie was positively gleeful. Ever since Steve joined the Hellfire Exotic Club, his whole life had changed. In addition to having Steve as the best boyfriend he’s ever had, he got three new dancers who were amazing, he got to design the club the way he always wanted it, and then there were the themed nights.

It all started with Fairy Tail night which was a rousing (eyebrow wagging) success. So Chrissy and he got down and started planning out other themed nights. Halloween Killer Night was a personal favorite.

Which brought him to tonight.

Hoe! Hoe! Hoe! Naughty or Nice Night. It was going to be a blast. The premise was someone accidentally writing to Satan their very naughty gift wish list and Satan deciding to Nightmare Before Christmas it up.

Brian was going to be their Santa Claus turned Greed when Satan temps him with all the finer things that Santa misses out on all year making presents for children. Scott was going to play the naughty list maker and he was going to dance with all the Deadly Sins as they check off things off his list.

It was going to be so hot.

Steve’s biggest worry was whether or not people were going to be happy to see Eddie’s Lucifer take a backseat this time as you really can’t accidentally write to Lucifer the way you could with Satan.

But Eddie had no doubts that since it was only for the one show very few people were going to have a problem with Steve taking center stage. After all that’s what he did every Sunday anyway.

“All right, you win!” Steve said after Eddie’s very impassioned speech about it. “I’ll go seduce the entire Deadly Sins. If that’s what you want.”

Eddie pounced on him and kissed him dirty. Once he was sure Steve was thoroughly wrecked, he got off and grinned. “You can slut around on stage all you want, Stevie, but I’m the only one who can do that.”

Steve propped himself on his elbows. “Yeah, yeah. Now get back up here and finish me off, you menace!”

Eddie cackled and dove right back in to do just that.

They were on their last dance and Eddie was absolutely covered in sweet. All his dancers were. They had worked hard tonight and had earned every bit of their Christmas bonuses just tonight, never mind the rest of the year.

Steve straddled Brian’s lap and gave the once Santa a lap dance, bumping and grinding against him. Brian’s hands were all over Steve’s oiled up form. And just as Santa grabbed Satan to take him as his own, Mrs. Claus burst on to the scene. She fainted and the other demons rushed her, pulling off her clothes. Astrid who danced as Astaroth rose up, her hair in disarray, her body naked.

The other demons danced up to her leading her away from where Santa and Satan where making out on Santa’s throne and into the arms of Scott’s wisher. Then the two danced as she fell in further into lust.

Then Eddie’s Lucifer walked out and threw out his hands. Everyone froze as if captured by Lucifer’s spell. Then yanked as if they were all on strings attached to his hands. All the dancers fell to the floor at his feet, even Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Scott.

“Someone’s been naughty, my little demons,” Lucifer said with a grin. “You need to put Santee Claus back so that he can deliver presents to all the kids of the world. Good and bad.”

Brian and Astrid stood up and walked up to Lucifer. Lucifer put his fingers under their chins. “You two are always welcome to come back for next year, but when I say you can.” He pushed them away. “Now run along.”

Both Astrid and Brian looked at each other and then gathered their clothes and ran off stage in different directions. Then he pulled Steve and Scott to him. “You two caused a lot a of mischief tonight and you know how I love mischief. So I’ll grant you each a Christmas wish.”

Scott wished to be a demon, which was granted, the clothes that he had worn all night, being torn off to reveal his nightly demon costume.

Steve looked up at Eddie and cocked his head to side. “I’m the demon of Envy, Lucy. You know what I want. Everything you have, I want it. All of it!”

Eddie pulled Steve’s Satan in close until they were practically fused to each other. “Oh my little Deadly Sin. You want everything and will always crave more and more. There is nothing in the world that would satisfy you. Nothing but me.”

Then pulled Steve in for searing kiss and the crowd went wild. Eddie ripped off the last part of Steve’s costume that he was still wearing which was the red leather thong and threw it at the audience.

“Because I all I want for Christmas,” Lucifer purred, leaning Satan back to touch his chest, “is you.”

He sealed that promise with a searing kiss.

Furina: The Little Mermaid

This was just some meta-analysis I needed to get out of my head. Specifically, about how Furina is inspired by the Hans Christian Andersen tale of "The Little Mermaid" (for the sake of this post, we'll reference the source material instead of the more well-known Disney movie)

In terms of appearance, her design at the back resembles a fishtail, with the fabric having a scale and fins pattern.

As for her story, this is where the parallels are a bit more obvious. Furina was the human half born from Focalors' desire to become human, much like our protagonist of the fairy tale.

Furina was also cursed to be immortal so long as Focalors' divinity lived and therefore, couldn't pursue her (Furina's) own happiness. If Furina also revealed her true nature, the prophecy would come true. This parallels how the Little Mermaid had to give up her own voice to become a human and that she would never be able to return to the sea. Moreover, every step would feel that she was walking on knives. Sounds familiar?

Metaphorically speaking, Furina is walking on knives; having to be careful about maintaining her image as the Hydro Archon and not telling anyone about her curse. If not, then all her efforts would be wasted and the prophecy would happen. The curse also makes her suffer in silence like how the Little Mermaid cannot tell the prince she rescued him since, well, she's cursed to be silent.

In the fairy tale, the Little Mermaid falls into despair thinking that her efforts in giving up her voice and her tail are in vain when the prince marries someone else. She believes her death is anticipating her, much like Furina suffering a mental shutdown and breaking down into silent tears over her potential execution when the Oratrice declares her guilty.

Another parallel is the seafoam. If Furina had fully submersed herself into the diluted Primodorial Seawater, she would have dissolved into the waters and become an Oceanid.

As for both of their final fates, it is a bittersweet ending. The Little Mermaid dissolves into seafoam but is given a chance to be a human if she does good deeds for 300 years (the lifespan of mermaids in the fairy tale).

With Furina's ending, Focalor dies and gives up her divinity, making Furina a fully-fledged human. However, she didn't know what to do with her life now that her 'purpose' was served after the 500-year deadline and prophecy passed.

The play in Furina's story quest parallels "The Little Mermaid". We only see the ending part but based on our limited information, it is about an Oceanid named Clio. Clio sacrifices herself to restore the water to the village in the play: being a dual parallel to Furina and The Little Mermaid's ending.

We also have the line that represents the curse that causes the main conflict:

If you become human... You can reveal your secret to no one. You will face suffering and loneliness. Is this what you truly want?

As Furina performs, she realizes the parallels in the story and her own life, accepting her own identity as herself and her new human life as a director, taking control of her own narrative. Thus, she gets her vision at the end.

In the end, Furina became a fully-fledged human with her own vision, being rewarded for her 500 years of service with pursuing her own happiness as well as the rarity of being given a Hydro vision.

If both Leavanny and Sylveon are forced to fight each other in an arena, which one is going to go on top and win?

Let's pretend that the Bug/Grass-Types are immune to and liable against Fairy-Types like the other Grass-Types in my headcanon (I know that Grass and Fairy are not immune to each other in the games, but it would be nice to have), meaning Leavanny can't use any Grass-Type moves on Sylveon nor the latter can use Fairy-Type moves on the former.

Meaning both Pokemon have to use some moves in their disposal to hit each other with.

Base stat comparisons:

Technically not a super effective move, but Sylveon was used to be able to learn the Steel-Type move Iron Tail by TMs in the past. For some reason they stopped in Scarlet and Violet. This gains it a x4 resistance to Leavanny. It was also used to be able to learn the other Steel-Type move Iron Defense in Generation 7 by TM, however starting in Sword and Shield, Sylveon can no longer learn the move.

Emiko Kobayashi is a long dragonborn from the Land of the Red Dragon, possibly the last of the actual dragonborn in the world of Twisted Wonderland in the current timeline. She had met a young Lila Vanrouge, Princess Malenor and Raverne one time during her childhood in her early 200s when her family visited Briar Land and seemed to have grown quite an interest with the Bat fae but didn't really get to fully connect with him by the time she returned home.

By her 400s she has grown into a fine modeled dragon of the dragonborn and mastered her skills in combat, magic, the arts and literature, and has a good grasp with morality which has come to help her when making alliances with humans or other species who reside in the Land of the Red Dragon and ensure peace among all of the races.

During an intense battle with the aid of allies against an enemy force she fell from a great cliff and would have fallen with severe injuries that may have taken her life if not for the intervention of mages who cast a spell to put her subconscious in a deep slumber while her body transformed into her dragon-long form and disappeared into an unknown realm to recover. Part of her soul has resided in her long form while the other has gone through a cycle of rebirth in the world Yuu/MC originated (which helps her keep in the modern times of TW much easier).

A few years had passed and the spell eventually worn off only to then reawaken in her humanoid form and stepping out of a coffin in the summoning chamber of Night Raven College somehow. After being sorted into Diasomnia she recognizes a familiar bat fae. Once settled down in the dorm, she manages to reconnect with Lilia and catch up on what has happened in the last 500 years. Over time, her feelings for him have evolved while Lilia has also grown attracted to her and leads them to a romantic relationship.

So, my other main rewrite is called 'Rewrite The Stars', and it's a rewrite for Voltron: Legendary Defenders. It's being written on Ao3, and is a complete series rewite.

Each book in the series is a season. I have only written two thus far, but every chapter is planned out, and has been for a year.

The rewrite for Fairy Tail is pretty basic, mostly serving to create more world building within Fairy Tail, and build up on characters who either didn't do anything or whose characters had a massive downfall.

The rewrite for Sword Art Online is more complicated. It takes inspiration from SAO: Progressive, and takes more from the light novels rather than the anime. (Because way too many people believe Kawahara wrote all those perverted scenes in the anime when he really didn't).

It follows Kirito, but also explores other characters and, as it would be written in 2024 and not 1980, it would have more accurate gameplay and culture.

As for tips on rewriting your own series...

My main tip would be to remember that rewrites are very different to normal fanfiction.

Ordinary fanfiction don't need a reason to exist. They don't need a message, or a theme, or even good writing. I started reading and writing fanfiction when I was eleven, so I'm very much of the opinion that fanfiction does not have to be written well to be good.

Fanfiction in general is just a story someone made directly based off of another work. I've seen a lot of people, particularly on TikTok, express this idea that fanfiction has to be good in order for it to be anything, and that's wrong.

My first fanfiction currently has over 100k reads on WattPad, and tens of thousands of votes. It was horrible: the characters were all 2D and OOC, the plot was haywire, nothing made sense, I turned the MC into a Gary Stu... But it doesn't change the fact that people read and enjoyed it.

This is a large reason why I continue to read fics that don't have a solif foundation, where the grammar is a mixed-bag, the characters are off, the plot is wacky, and the wordcount is under 500.

Fanfiction, no matter how bad or small it is, is fanfiction.

Rewrites are different, however.

Fanfiction can exist without any sort of meaning. You don't need a reason to write fanfiction.

Rewrites should. Rewrites need that message or theme to feel valid. Because it's not a fanfiction - it's a story.

So, my main tip would be to treat the rewrite like it's own story, not a fanfiction. This isn't a message of love to the author, it's a message to your audience.

For example, for My Rewrite Academia, one of the messages I want to say is that one of the strongest weapons you can have is kindness. A theme I want to portray is that of the Old vs New Generation.

Do you have a message and/or theme for the rewrite? If not, then that should be on your to-do list before you formulate any sort of plan.

Another tip I have is to have, at the very least, a loose plan before you start. This will help with setting up foreshadowing early on, and getting a good idea of how to pace yourself.

As it's a rewrite, changing characters is completely fine. If you'd like a character to be more confident, more anxious, more creative, more dumb, that's fine. It would be awkward in an ordinary fanfiction, but the rewrite is your canon. Characters can act differently if it fits with your characterisation of it.

Finally: it's perfectly fine to change things or add them as your write it. Many successful authors do this a lot.

The biggest example I can think of is Oda, the mangaka of One Piece. Franky was only created after Bon Clay's voice actor, the same as Franky's, was cast, and Oda created Franky because he loved his voice.

Mashima, who wrote Fairy Tail, wasn't originally going to bring back Lisanna - she was supposed to stay dead. (Honestly, I prefer her dead because she didn't do anything after she came back, but I liked Edolas so it was fine).

If an audience member says something like, 'Oh, I wonder if this will happen!', and you think that's a great idea, you can put it in if you want to. Not only will it make that audience member excited to be right, but it's basically free ideas you know will make at least one person happy, and if it makes you happy too, all the better!

When we first see Klaus meeting Katerina, she seems to be enchanted with him. See this is a girl who's whole world revolves around finding that fairy tale love. Getting her happy ending. She's been whisked away to a party above her station to meet LORDS. She already finds Elijah intriguing, the perfect gentleman-

but then she's introduced to Klaus, whos charisma is just as high as his psychopathy. He's charming, he's good looking, and he speaks to her in Bulgarian. The only real word for how she felt that first meeting was enchanted. She was definitely a moth to that flame.

Fast forward to Klaus' big season two reveal and as expected her entire demeanor has changed.

This is the man who has hunted her and ruined her life for five hundred years, this is the man who SLAUGHTERED her ENTIRE family. She's spent 500 years running, plotting, hiding. Five centuries of near misses and paranoia, PTSD!!

You would think that she wouldn't really react she already knows he's here, he's had her captive like a pet for weeks. She already had her big "oh fuck" moment when he caught her in Alaric's body... but no.

I mean yes, she did have her freak out, her panic, her throw up in her own mouth when he touched her moment.... but that was Klaus in someone else body.

This is his real body. The face of the man who murdered all of her future hopes and dreams. The face of a man she met five hundred years ago who deceived her. Sentenced her to death for his own gain long before she was anyone worth holding a grudge over.

When we see him step out of that box you see Katherine's whole body go ridged. Stiff. It's one thing to know that conceptually you are talking to your enemy. It's another to see the face that haunts your dreams again.

So she has a second moment of visceral FEAR because now it's real.

Now he's completely him and she cant just pretend like she's being held captive by someone else. There is no denying now, that she's been CAUGHT by the last person on earth she want's to be caught by. Now she has to see the same eyes that looked into hers with a soft smile and a kiss to her hand once upon a time, but now they're angry and hateful and a reminder that she will never get happy. He will always be on her tail if he doesnt have it firmly in his grasp already.

It's one thing to see a wolf behind glass. It's another to stare one down in front of you.

Nothing and no one scares Katherine more than Klaus.
