I'm putting this under the cut. Bnha Yogs (+hermit) au brainrot. I don't really have scenes or anything, just quirk ideas!

Class One (First Years):

Teacher: Lying (Kitsune)

Xephos, Cloning (Creates a weak copy with a DNA sample. Copy can use quirk) Lalna, Electrical (Power grid. Can channel electricity and take control of devices) Zoeya, Chimera. Spores + Fire  (Uses them surprisingly well together) Nano, Flux (Stretchy and strong body extension, hallucinogenic if used right) Rythian, Warp. Later Dragon (Can teleport, and later has dragonbreath) Benji, Train (has wheels in his feet. Eats coal. Will set you on fire) Ravs, Strength (He’s like that one pokemon always carrying the wooden timber) Strife, Atomic Disassembly (breaks stuff down to its bare components. Not living things. yet) Parvis, Blood (Manipulates his own and others with touch.)

Honestly I agree that King Rythian is out of character so what I’ve had in my head for years now is that the citizens of Dawn are so grateful is that they sorta force him to be king? and he’s like. ew but he can’t say no??? so he just goes with it and checks up on the realm once a month but mostly hangs out with Zoeya in the Forest or with Ravs and Nilesy in the Overworld. I think he eventually heals and learns to love the Realm of Dawn because he sees how different it is (I imagine it as being like the BetterEnd mod) to his childhood, now that everyone isn’t monsters! A lot of my headcanons are based on what would provide the best outfits and King Rythian is just YES

I am so glad you want to hear more about my Zoeya headcanons because I’ve just had this in my head for years just. stewing and I forget it isn’t canon! However I am not normal about this and you have made a mistake

So. What is she? Is she a human? A human-shaped mushroom? A fairy? Heh??? What I’ve concluded is that she is whatever the normal denizens of the Twilight Forest are. In my mind, a fairy! That’s why I always draw her with pointed ears. In the Twilight Forest mod, there’s all sorts of human-shaped-and-sized creatures, but they’re all undead. There’s also goblins and kobolds, magical sheep (no not Kirin, but them too), and trolls. So fae, or whatever, would fit right in. Elves, maybe? 

HOWEVER!!! She calls Jeff dad. I’m not saying that Jeff is literally her dad, because he’s not. I think she was raised by some sort of mushroom royal family. But then why is she human shaped, and not more mushroom-y? With Zoey-the-irl-person’s creativity and art skills, if she had been a mushroom person then we would have gotten way more mushroom characteristics on her. BUT WHY WAS SHE THE PRINCESS/QUEEN???? WHY HER????

Ok. not literally. But basically! She may not have connections to birds, but she has connections to fire (red hair, being immune to fire that one time, accidentally using her fire ring on Jeff’s table) and is implied to be spiritually connected to the land. If she was born at some point, which presumably occurred, then who was the previous incarnation of the Twilight Forest (because she is the incarnation of the forest, which was essentially confirmed via Word of God on Zoey’s tumblr)? 

I think it was a previous Zoeya. I know, I know, it’s a stretch! But multiple Zoeyas is a thing, with Beyond Mushbury--AND ALSO MUSHBURY TALES. 

OKAY YES MUSHBURY TALES WAS MOSTLY A JOKE BUT IT STILL HAPPENED!!!!!! That was a different Zoeya!!! One with a big ol’ mushroom hat who loved fish and spoke to mushrooms and was silly!!!! And it maybe not be canon to Blackrock!Zoeya--but maybe it was a once-upon-a-time Zoeya who did do all that stuff!

I've actually spent all day on my WorldAnvil Twilight Forest project which is a total wip BUT I have so many thoughts on this. Presumably the End/Twilight war is just that--a war between the End and the Twilight. Self explanatory, right? NO! In Blackrock canon, the End used to be the Realm of Dawn, just as the Twilight Forest is the Realm of Twilight. It was peaceful, prosperous, and NON-HOSTILE! Why would they have any reason to go to war with the Twilight Forest?

So, presumably, the war started after the Incident (when the ritual went wrong and the life got slorped out of the land). So, the Dragon must have declared war. Or, the Twilight declared war. But I don't think so. In all of Rythian's Word of God posts, the End always seems to be the aggressor, complete with Rythian (the character, obvs) being groomed to be a warlord. The implication of the End trying to invade the Brightlands is that they also tried to invade the Twilight Forest. But why?

In The Princess short story, the Dragon's motivation was ensuring immortality for herself and her people (initially her mother). But the ritual went horribly wrong. Perhaps the invasions of the other dimensions were efforts into finding a cure for the transformation?

In my mind, the timeline goes:

The Princess short story > the invasions start > Zoey is born (or reborn--I have Reincarnation Thoughts) > Rythian is born > Rythian is kidnapped > Rythian grows up and escapes the End > Zoey leaves the Twilight > the Old World + Blackrock Chronicles > Zoey reclaims her throne, the gang slays the dragon, and Rythian restores life to the End by working with the Twilight and Brightlands, not against > Zoey is queen of the Twilight and Rythian is the king of the Dawn and they get married and live happily ever after

And time does pass differently in the Twilight Forest. Combined with the ruined and deteriorated state of the Forest in the mod (and the wiki descriptions, which I've copy-pasted into my WorldAnvil document), I think that Zoeya's departure started the deterioration of the Forest. The civilization is dying without her. The mushroom castle is deserted, the houses are crumbling, the most powerful beings are hostile. The realm is no longer united, but a hodge-podge of fiefdoms (see KirinDave enlisting Strife to kill a Lich, which they can't do themself because of "politics"). In the Overworld, the mushrooms speak a different language and are fighting each other. Presumably, Jeff and his faction are rebelling against the Twilight Forest, which is unable to reassert control due to Zoeya's absence.

I definitely think that both the End and the Twilight Forest--specifically, the mushrooms of the Twilight Forest--are imperialistic. Zoeya's got enough of a screwy moral compass that it tracks, y'know?

Also I have SO many thoughts on Zoey's mere existence

Rotrock Chronicles??

These are a couple character re-designs based off of this comic by @monsterpub where Lalnable Hector creates a clone of Rythian. I may or may not have gotten carried away...Below are some explanations!

So obviously I don’t know what’s behind Rythian’s mask, however the explanation for this guy - I’m gonna refer to him as Naithyr for convenience - is that he’s a constantly-unstabilized clone who uses magic to make sure he doesn’t fall apart. He doesn’t care for hiding his appearance as much as Rythian. He’s kinda like Specimen Five with Flux in that he uses his Ender biology for selfish gain. Naithyr’s pretty calm but super easy to tick off, cause he was never taught discipline and self-control. Where he lacks in restraint and focus, he makes up for in power and motivation. He also has a synthetic Eye of Ender...I haven’t figured out what it’s mainly for except maybe transportation. Subtitles can be “The False Mage” or something?

Then there’s anti-Zoeya that I kinda wanna call Phoebya (it’s a mash-up of “phoney” and “zoeya” while being its own name), maybe Bya (bee-a/bia) for short. She’s created by Naithyr who has a rudimentary understanding of clones but an incredible understanding of synthetic magic so she’s like a weird sort of copy of Zoeya. She’s pretty empty-headed in terms of personality, as if she’s just the original’s shadow. She thinks big scarves are “tacky” so she wears a ribbon-like “drape”. Instead of the life-giving fungus Zoeya loves so much, Bya’s magical talent lies with death and plague, and she prefers bleak surroundings to Zoeya’s forest-y vibe. She’s also more “frilly” in appearance and was gifted a fairy wing ring. She also has a robotic eye enhancement, an enchanted bauble necklace, and a technomancy watch that I think serves as a compass and means of communication.

...okay yes I admit i did go overboard, but the idea was so tempting I just had to do it!! I had loads of fun drawing too :) haven’t speed-drawn in a while!

Anyways fairy au info below cut:

Xephos is a fairy that lives in Lalna’s old gran’s backyard beneath a tree with a colony of bees. When his grandmother dies, Lalna inherits the house and discovers this lil fairy dude living in his back garden. They very slowly go from mutually staring at the other with interest to being friends and later a bit more fluffy romance stuff. At one point during the winter Xeph’ holes up in Lalna’s walls because it’s warmer so he becomes Lalna’s borrower-esque roommate. They can’t really talk to each other because Xeph’s vocal chords are so small Lalna can’t hear so lots of non-verbal communication. Lalna shrinks himself at some points so they can talk. Rythian and fairy!Zoeya are also there. Ryth’ can talk to fairies because his magic compensates for the small vocal chords so he can hear and Lalna hates him for this. Xephos also can’t fly because Spooky Past and doesn’t really remember his past either. Oh, and fairy!Lomadia kidnaps Xephos at one point also because she thinks Lalna is holding him against his will lol. It’s one of my more self-indulgent aus.

Also, Xephos loves strawberries :3

Ooh you’ll have to be more specific because I have a lot of aus. Most of which I’ve not made content for either 😅. I’ll give you a run down of them all. (All are Xephna in some way or another because I’m ill in the head.)

Royalty AU: Lalna is the crown prince of a kingdom on the verge of revolution due to the king’s (his father’s) ban against magic. After his primary guard Rythian attempts to assassinate him and is ousted, Xephos is appointed from a neighboring kingdom to be his new head knight. Features Rythian (magic enemy), Nanosounds (long time friend of Lalna’s, peasant), Lomadia (another knight on the guard), and Honeydew (neighboring kingdom’s king).

Fairy AU: Xephos is a fairy that lives in Lalna’s backyard/in his walls. Essentially just a story of them befriending each other despite being unable to communicate. I just like g/t stories lol. Features Zoeya (fairy) and Rythian (normal Rythian) a lot.

SCP AU: Lalna is a low-level scientist assigned to take care of a block of specimens at a supernatural facility. He quickly befriends many of the prisoners and realizes things are not as they seem. Features Xephos, Rythian, Zoeya, Teep (prisoners), Angor (head of facility), Bedgar (facility worker).

Mermaid AU: Lalna is an ocean marine biologist rooming with a plucky lighthouse keeper named Honeydew. He works at a facility in town at a research department and scorns his fellow worker Rythian for believing in supernatural things such as mermaids. That is, until he meets one. Features Xephos, (mermaid), Honeydew (lighthouse keeper), Rythian (coworker), Ridgedog (mermaid guard).

Twilight Forest AU: Lalna enters a new dimension of the Twilight Forest. On one of his expeditions he loses track of where his portal is, and a peculiar buck leads him back to it. He then also befriends a curious deertaur named Xephos. As they get to know each other, the true threat of the politics in the forest become more and more pressing. (Xephos is deertaur prince in this.) Features Strife (deertaur guard), Rythian (human guard for Mushling kingdom), Zoeya (Mushling princess), Honeydew (twilight forest dwarf).

Circus AU: This came out of @spacedoutsoap and I having one conversation but I still like it enough to mention it. It’s 1894, Angor runs a traveling circus full of wondrous characters. Is it all wonder behind the scenes though? Features Angor (co-owner and ringmaster), Honeydew (co-owner and strongman), Bedgar (mermaid-prisoner), Xephos (alien prisoner-acrobat), Lalna (pyrotechnics), Rythian (magician), Zoeya (magician’s assistant), and others.

Honeydew is already a dwarf which is kinda magical if you think about it. Maybe Zoeya could be a cursed fairy that has mushrooms growing from her skin?

Officially she’s like the Princess of the Twilight, so maybe she’s like next in line to the throne of a fae court that sucks less than Xephos’s (but still sorta sucks cuz Fae Are Dicks). I don’t think I’ll change all that much with Zoeya tbh
