Free 🥬🍠🥬🍠🥬🍠Finally getting to post the collard green & Sweet potatoes picking from November and Mississippi at my nieces and nephews farm🥬🥬🥬 www.fairryland.com🍋🍋‍🟩🍌🍉🍇🍓🫐🍈🍒🍑🥭🍍🥥🥝🍅🍆🥑🫛🥦🥬🥒🌶️🫑🌽🥕🫒🧄🧅🥔🍠🫚🥐

As I sit and look at the pictures from last November’s collard greens, mustard greens, and sweet potato picking party at Sal and Dale’s annual “living off the land” event, I can’t help but smile. I captured some amazing videos that day, and it reminded me how much I love teaching about sustainable living, growing your own food, and reconnecting with the Earth—just the way God intended.
🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅
It warms my heart to see people actually doing it—growing their own greens, watermelons, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet potatoes. These things are so easy to grow, especially when you have access to land. But somewhere along the way, we became a country of comfort. We’ve traded hard work and connection for convenience. The more we work, the more we chase money, and now corporations dominate the food industry—filling our stores and bodies with chemicals disguised as food.
🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚🫚
People are getting sick. Our communities are breaking down. And I just want to see the world shift.
🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬🥬
That’s why I’m so passionate about sustainable living—eating from the land, practicing vegetarian, pescatarian, or vegan lifestyles when possible, and taking care of our bodies with real, whole foods. The pesticides and chemicals used on our fruits and vegetables are harming us, and we need to wake up to that.

So I hope you enjoy this post and the beautiful photos of the greenery. May they inspire you to reconnect—with the land, your health, and the life we were meant to live.

🎃💀🍬👻Halloween 2024💀🍬👻🎃🤪🎉👻🍬💀🎃🤪👻🥶
I just want to say how incredibly thankful I am to be able to celebrate the holidays with my family. After being away for almost 45, maybe even 50 years, I’ve never had the chance to spend this much time with them during the holidays. If I had the knowledge and understanding I have now, I probably would’ve done this much sooner—but I truly believe everything happens in the Creator’s time. We like to think we’re in control, but the Universe has its own path. You can try to move fast or slow, but either way, that path unfolds how and when it should.
🎃🎃💀💀🎃🎃💀💀🎃🎃💀💀🎃🎃💀💀
I had to go slow. I wasn’t ready to fully embrace family. I wasn’t ready to unpack it all, to look closely at where I came from, and I certainly wasn’t ready for the South. I had so much judgment in me from the environment I was raised in and the people I used to be around. I had to sit with myself for a long time to get comfortable being in spaces that didn’t feel comfortable at all. But I’ve made it to a place where I can now.
💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀👻
I’m grateful for the journey I’m on right now. I’m excited about all the holidays coming up, and the fact that I can just show up and spend time with family. Of course, the holidays are never simple—there’s always a mix of emotions—but overall, this time has been beautiful. I don’t know if we’ll spend every holiday together going forward, or if we’ll always want to—but for now, we’re doing alright.
👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
Some of us may drift apart eventually. Sadly, a lot of my family hasn’t taken good care of their physical or mental health, and that’s taken a toll. I’m just glad I get to spend time with them now, while they’re still here. We’ve already lost so many, and I carry them with me in these moments.
We had a great Halloween 2024. It’s taken me a while to post the videos—I’ve got so many! I hope you enjoy them. And the girls? They were getting down in these little bars—Mr. Marvin’s spot on Number Four here in Tunica, and Harry’s Place too. Check out the address if you’re ever nearby.
Thanks for reading. Love and blessings.
