though tbh ,  does he even remember when Mother’s Day  is  ???   i’ve been living on Earth my whole life and I don’t remember when Mother’s Day is jskfhskjfhsf

he’s probably spent too long in outer space to remember the date ,  but  a.  i’m sure every day is Mother’s Day when u didn’t get to say goodbye  :))))  and  b.  i’m sure different planets and different cultures out there had their own ways of showing appreciation to the moms ,  and i’m sure if Peter witnessed these traditions it would kill him inside ,  truly tear him up ,  but he’d smile and take part and come up with some story about how his mom was somewhere out in space ,  growing her own gardens on a planet made of light .  the kinds of stories he used to make up about his dad ,  when he was a kid and going through a different process of coping   …   only these stories are much cooler bc Ego isn’t worth anything to Peter now .

he’d probably sit in his ship and pray to his Gods ,  pray that somehow his dumb stories are true ,  that his mom is out there somewhere and she’s happy ,  reincarnated into the life she deserves .   he prays to Hanuman for strength because boy  !   he sometimes really ,  really needs it .  reads over the letter that Mallika left him as if it’s holy scripture ,  memorising each word and trying to imagine her saying it ,  but knowing that picturing her face is getting harder ,  because time is cruel and it rips away from you sometimes . 

and most of all ,  falls back on his music ,  because sometimes ,  that’s all he has .

The demon lifted a single brow.

                   “ On the contrary, my day has just begun, ” he replied, knowing full well that it wasn’t his day they were talking about, but the witch’s. Gesturing with a ring-laden hand. “ But, alas, if you’re too fatigued to have a conversation, I shall take my leave. ” Swinging his legs back down, the demon got to his feet, that same swagger marking his footsteps as he neared, and then… passed her.

mmmmm tell me abt when ben first Officially asks rach out 👀

ok so we have that established timeline that they always meet / see each other in between ben’s mission schedule ( or when he’s on a mission but rachel obv. doesn’t know and it’s all just very serendipitous ) and that they stay in contact, but, like, nothing comes of that, although they both know that there’s something in the air between them. ben smiles when rachel’s around, which is the first time that happens in around twenty years or even more. it’s around the time after his first mission back in russia after his very long deep cover there a few years prior. he’s back in the country and, as stubborn as he is, half-asses his psych evaluation and only stays the necessary minimum in MI6′s med wing because he knows rachel’s in the city and he told her the last time they’ve talked that he’d show up before he’d have to be ‘ travelling ’ again and she would be too. so, he meets her not far from trafalgar square, since the place is public enough for them to not be in the eyes of other agents and ben doesn’t have to feel like he’s being watched ( though with rachel, he forgets that ). and right there after letting her know the bruises around his jaw are nothing to worry about, he asks her if she’d like to have dinner with him - tonight, preferably, since he doesn’t know how much time he has in the city. it’s a little bit awkward since he’s never really done that on a level that wasn’t meant for a mission’s success, but also charming in that way that ben’s only around her because she melts him. and when she agreed, he couldn’t stop the hint of a smile staying on his features for hours. once they were sat at dinner, he also makes sure to ask her that she knows he’s serious with asking her out and this is certainly not a casual dinner invitation but the actual beginning of their concrete relationship. shortly after that evening, ben is off to istanbul for his next mission, but leaves flowers on rachel’s doorstep and a note to let her know that he’d like to have dinner again in four days.

          “ Wha--- ” If she hadn’t been as tall as she was, surely the force with which her friend threw herself into Heidi’s arms would have knocked the blonde to the floor. Luckily, she managed to only need to take a step back to recover her balance, before, with a laugh, she returned the embrace. 

           “ Oh, come on, Rach, I was only gone for what - two months, you can’t have missed me too much. ” A trip to discover places she hadn’t been ( in this life, that is ). Burrowing her nose in the other’s hair, she took note that yes, of course, Rachel still carried the exact same sweet scent as always. Familiarity. It felt good to be surrounded with such once more.

She slides her arms around his shoulders (thank Merlin he was sitting) and rests her chin on his shoulder. Several kisses are placed on his cheek, his temple, everywhere she can reach. "Happy Valentine's Day, love."

the smile splits through the weathered facade of his face naturally, the sun breaking through storm clouds after a long and dark day, and stays there as rachel leans down to kiss his face. it’s something more welcome than breathing, to know her by his side and feel her there too, to see the happiness radiating off of her when she gives meaning to a day he’d usually never give a second glance at. in the life before her, those waves of apathy swept him away and made him disregard anything considered of love or related to that concept. silly, it used to be, before the magnificent woman who is now kissing his cheek walked into his life.  (  they walked towards each other, if he is honest about it; every time they just gravitated towards each other. he does not believe in destiny, but when it comes to rachel, he does. )  and now everything is so different, but for the better. all the meaningless ways he used to sink into have been deconstructed slowly and patiently by himself and with rachel’s help and it made him a better person; it gave him purpose. she gave him a new sense to what it means to care, something beyond a license and a contract. new promises, new moments that became memories to cling to when he’s out there alone, a new sense for what matters. because rachel matters, became the center of his world. where once was a void, is now overflowing with light and serenity and love. rachel gave that word, that concept, new meaning and made a usually ignored holiday into something that instills happiness in him. she turned every day into one he looks forward to.

“ah, it’s that day of the year again, huh?” he replies, smiling against the skin of her neck. he places a kiss there, strategically and easily, and then looks up to her with light eyes, with warmth and mirth. then, he leans over to capture her lips in a loving kiss, grinning against her mouth while he does so. he feels happy, for once. around rachel, it is possible for him to feel like that, to feel at all. to allow himself that. he turns around in his seat to put an arm around her waist and pull her around to him, until she falls on his lap. a laugh escapes him then; being close to her will never not make him giddy. “i think there’s some roses on your bedside table, but i wouldn’t know how they got there,” he goes on, his nose rubbing against hers before he kisses her again. once, twice, again and again. “i love you too, darling.”

I actually also made a post about this here , if any of yous guys are so inclined  --  but Eggsy is  (  remarkably  )  quite scar - free.  and I say remarkably because he does get into a lot of shit  ...  but also because Dean Baker exists in his life.

he has one that runs from his right temple up through his hair.   it’s thin enough to remain hidden by hair and the caps he wears.   he got this from a free-running stunt gone wrong.   also has another scar on the back of his calf , the remnants of a motorcycle burn.
