And now, a random statement from a newspaper lover from one of the lower 48 states…

I don’t know why, but I find the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner to be the most adorable newspaper ever (at least I do right now).

They’ve used that friendly logo with “Fairbanks” in the cute little banner since long before Alaska’s statehood. 1951, at latest.

Did I mention Sourdough Jack?

It’s definitely my Autism Brain, but I wish I could snuggle with the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner as if it were a fuzzy little long-lost kitten of Duchess from The Aristocats.

Prayer Requests for the Diocese of Fairbanks Alaska:

- For the increase of employment for villages.

- To obtain more priests and fly them out to the remote churches to celebrate the Mass and sacraments.

- For the rebuild of St. Patrick Church in Koyukuk.

- For the significant maintenance needs of St. Lawrence Church in Mountain Village.

- For the heating and protection of churches during extreme winter temperatures.

- For the dire need of new insulation and a new boiler system for Sacred Heart Church in Emmonak, which struggles to keep the church and rectory adequately heated on the coldest days and get parishioners through Mass comfortably.

- New windows for St. Joseph’s in Tununak.

- Food for all people of the diocese.

- For the spiritual welfare of all in the diocese.
