Nephilim are the offspring between angels and humans. They have souls but are endowed with the strength and power of an angel. They are usually described as wild, true environmentalists caring for nature, hating those who dare ruin it, they are known to be able to control nature, with help of their reed and talk to animals

They are known to be roaming all over the countryside in wood's and loyal to their masters, practically immortal

A Werewolf is a human that has the ability to shape-shift into a raging ferocious wolf and wolf-like beast typically when there is a full moon. They can either take the form of a typical wolf or a wolf-human like beast with fur. They are fairly normal till the full moon, when human they have strength and agility, sound, and healing factor. They are far more dangerous in wolf form as they are no longer in touch with their humanity.

I don't see her spoken of often but despite the lack of acknowledgment Jk Rowling has given her, (such as leaving her nameless as just ‘A girl)’, I do wish we spoke about her more because I think Aberforth’s girlfriend is such a significant character in the way that she represents all the forgotten young women of the nineteenth century whose lives were stolen from them as a result of premarital pregnancy.

In the Victorian period, there was a strict expectation placed upon women of any class to be ‘pure’ and whilst children were a blessing, this meant that pregnancy was still something to be covered up; a sign that a woman was no longer ‘pure’ in the eyes of society.

For women of a lower class, if they did conceive a child before marriage, then many families would send them away in order to have the child away from the public eye and preserve the family’s reputation. This is what we see happen to Aberforth’s girlfriend. 

It's such a tragic situation for a young girl to be taken from her home and shamed through rumours within the town because she was pregnant, something we don't even know if she wanted or not.

Of course, in writing this, I'm not condoning teenage pregnancy but rather I want to highlight the tragedy of this story that we hear so little as well as demonstrating how innocent women and young girls were treated within the Victorian period.
