S'il est préférable de respecter les ethnicités suggérées pour chaque grande famille suzeraine du Royaume nous pouvons comprendre que dans un soucis de ressources, il soit parfois difficile de les respecter. 

Certes, dans un but de représentation (Westeros étant un monde vaste et riche), nous aimerions que le plus de gens puissent être représentés parmi les grandes familles du jeu. 

Ainsi, au moment de choisir votre personnage et la famille, nous vous demandons de faire un minimum d'effort avant de lui choisir une ethnicité différente de celle suggérée (auquel cas d'ailleurs, si une ethnicité différente est choisi, nous changerons alors l'ethnicité choisie par celle représentée, pour favoriser l'intégration de membres futurs et pour rester cohérent.e.s).

De plus, nous tenons à vous rappeler que nous jouons dans un univers fictif et que les ethnicités à proprement parler se compare différemment des nôtres (autant dire que même les ethnicités de Westeros sont fictives). Nous avons les Premiers Hommes, les andals, le style valyrien, les dorniens, les marchiens, les rhoynars, etc. Or, le métissage est donc forcément quelque chose de plus rependu qu'on peut le penser.

Prenons pour exemple le couple royal composé de Daeron II Targaryen et Mariah Martell. Heureux parents de quatre enfants, pourtant, leurs fils ne se ressemblent pas tous physiquement. 

Certains partagent les traits dorniens de leur mère, comme Baelor qui a, selon le lore officiel, des cheveux noirs de jais coupés courts, hérités de sa mère dornienne. Tandis que Maekar, quant à lui décrit comme un homme sévère, puissamment bâti, portant une barbe d'argent pâle parsemée d'or impeccablement taillée, partage le physique typiquement valyrien de la maison Targaryen. Nous souhaitons que cette diversité de physique soit conservée afin de conserver cette idée selon laquelle, puisque les héritiers de la maison Targaryen partagent de plus en plus de traits dorniens (qui, jusqu’à tout récemment étaient des ennemis de la couronne et du royaume), donne une certaine ‘’légitimité’’ aux prétentions de la Maison Feunoyr sur le Trône de Fer.

BIOGRAPHY.

El has lived an absurdly long life with an unbelievable amount of adventures, and they're still kicking. It's more than I care to condense into a bio, frankly. Thus I'll be giving an overview of their earliest years. Further details can be found in the timeline.

ELMINSTER WAS BORN IN THE small country village of Heldon, Athalantar. Their early days were spent peacefully, tending sheep and learning at their parents' feet. Then it was lost in a blaze of dragonfire. They were twelve years old when the Warring Princes of Athalantar sought out their hidden brother, El's father, to lay low him and all his issue. From then on, El was forced to make their way as an outlaw and a thief — or else be slaughtered by their uncle and the mages puppeteering him.

Seven years past before they could hide no longer. They entered Mystra's temple intending to burn it down, but left under Her divine guidance. There was nothing El hated more than mages and their goddess, but he couldn't thwart them by learning spells more powerful. First they were a cleric. Then they were a wizard. Then they were the face of a revolution. They rallied their allies and drove the tyrant and his mages from the land. However, El chose not to take the throne in the end. They wisely abdicated to Helm Stoneblade. Then they left, never to return, lest his reign be destabilized by their presence.

This was not an end for Elminster, merely a greater beginning. They'd hardly made it out of the capital of Hastarl before Mystra offered them a divine blessing — and divine burden. If El willed it, they would become Mystra's Chosen to serve Her will and further the Art across Toril. They accepted. They have thus outlived their natural lifespan by over a millennium, and have suffered grief and torments beyond any other. Still, they persist. Their greatest comfort lays in helping others; so long as they can be a force for good, they are satisfied.

yudi smith (45 anos, dean fujioka): yudi é sobrinho neto do fundador de shellville, e comanda o bairro atualmente. adotado pela família smith, sempre procurou honrar suas raízes japonesas. pensando como os shells antigos, preza pela paz, e acredita que o que aconteceu no passado, deveria ficar no passado. (essa família pode ter a etnia desejada pelo player, exceto se for filho direto de yudi, sendo que o faceclaim é japonês)

jensen shelby (46 anos, jared padalecki): é um justiceiro que comanda o bairro shutter island. de vez em quando, jensen sente que apenas ele fala as verdades nuas e cruas sobre a pequena cidade da carolina do sul. apesar de não ser muito dócil, é educado e obstinado, sendo um grande entusiasta dos “the lighthouse keepers”. segue firme na luta contra a desigualdade social de coastline, batendo de frente com eloise, loane e michelle.

a task poderá ser feita no docs, tumblr, notion, twitter ou onde desejar. só lembrem de usar a tag #coasttask e publicá-la na conta de seu char para que todos possam ver. essa task não é obrigatória, mas como citamos anteriormente, terá muita influência no andamento do jogo. sejam criativos com suas histórias e aproveitem para o desenvolvimento de seu char!

Can we use the original actor for a character? Like for example, I use Julianne Moore as the FC for my muse who plays Poppy Adams in Kingsman. Some character requirements are really hard to match age or ethnicity wise.

yeah, i would say that's fine for muses above like 40 or super underrepresented ethnic backgrounds. as long as you don't copy and paste julianne's entire career onto your muse bc we're supposed to write original characters, not real-life people here.

but if you need help in finding other faceclaims, you can ask me too and i'll try to help. it's also worth remembering that you'll be writing the muses in their day-to-day lives as actors, not as the characters they're playing in-universe. so you can totally just use another female fc in her 50s (e.g. viola davis, rachel weisz). we'll assume that ur muse has poppy's iconic red hair in the film, but not in real life.
