I don’t think Dean is stupid—not At All—but people in this fandom trying to convince me he’s so so incredibly and obviously brilliant to the extent that Sam undervalues him Purposely to either squash his potential or bully him is crazy. ​Dean is absolutely coated in this ‘tired of hitting the books, let’s party’ persona from the jump, saying one thing about himself, and acting differently. Why can’t we focus on how sad it is that Dean feels the need to pretend to be dumber than he is? Because it’s a reputation he created and stuck to for himself all the way back in high school. It’s not a result of Sam. Even if Dean’s decision to not graduate was influenced by him playing caretaker, that is wholly John’s fault. ALSO, there isn’t some sort of superiority complex stemming from Sam having gone to college. I’m (pretty sure) Sam is the only person to actually call Dean a genius. He takes his advice on lore serious and his literary references at face value despite being comically surprised by them being made.

It feels like ppl are desperate hungry starving to find Something tragic about Dean to pin blame on Sam for in order to justify not liking him. It’s OK. You can be Dean-centric and dislike Sam. You don’t need a reason. You don’t need to find dirt on him. I grant you permission, Be Free

Just given the nature of their lore and what has been revealed, it is kinda very uncomfortable if placed in any kind of shipping context, and just for boundary reasons, I would prefer if we… didn’t. Please and thank you /gen

More notes for Roach conlanging. Roach has grammatical gender, in which only Male, Female, and Object are grammatical genders, whereas Worker uses feminine grammar, Queen and King use a slight variant on feminine grammar, and Drone, and Queen-Alate use masculine grammar. This is because King is derived from Queen, due to their similar positions in a colony, and Queen-Alate is derived from Drone, as both are forms of alate.

Queen is an alteration of feminine grammar that functionally just adds a handful of extra syllables to it, and King is an offsprout of Queen that uses the same grammar with different pronouns. Queen-Alate, despite the name, is derived from Drone, as they are both for referring to different types of alate ant.

Most Roach dialects are intelligible to speakers of Snakemouth Den Cordyceps Roach, but Snakemouth Den Cordyceps Roach is not entirely intelligable to speakers of Roach dialects due to a mix of the excessively specialized vocabulary caused by the specific needs of its speakers, the fact that its speakers do not necessarily have Roach mouthparts and thus may not pronounce syllables in a similar way, and due to the fact that Inanimate Object is a full grammatical gender that does not exist in any other dialect of roach and replaces a decent chunk of terminology for things that previously had Other Words For Them.

ta-daa~ here's the first part of the gala outfits I mentioned in the tags of the legend styling fable's hair post and a doodle:

okay I decided to make a *second post* instead of tags because it’s easier.

spoilers for Icarus’ ending POV below cut

so. Um. From my understanding of what Midas is saying, *nobody will remember Icarus* with the exception of Rae and Isla, and that will be limited to Icarus as a child.

during their conversation, Midas says that to make everything go back to normal, everyone’s memory will get reset, including their memory of Sherbert as they are “too closely tied to the [wack]” (I’m not spelling hard words right now-). It will go till when Icarus was first supposed to die. This is before they met *anyone* but Rae and Isla.

In the future that we are considering, Rae will remember his older brother as they were when they first died, but nobody else will know who they are.

this means that Icarus will have to rebuild their relationships with everyone. Most likely including violet too, because I doubt he was spared from this.

While Rae does *mention* Icarus, he pays no mind to the “magic” flower that went from a Daisy to an orchid, a symbol of the [wack]. Nor does anyone else mention Icarus in their endings (maybe, I couldn’t watch all of arisanna’s as it got muted as a vod-). Rae is searching for Icarus in the new afterlife, but has yet to find them, as expected, so he knows they are dead, however no more information is given.

there are so many possibilities with this. And I don’t know, maybe when Icarus comes back, people get their memories back, I’m unsure. There’s no way to confirm

What are you talking about, Nethrum? I am allowed to speak to my child when I want to, you have no right in when I can and cannot speak to my Son.

I have never done anything, to harm him, and I make sure he is happy after Isla left all of us, or do you not remember dear brother. How after Isla ran away with them both to you and Enderian, she also disappeared. I have been taking care of our two boys since then, looking for her, trying to make sure they can even visit you. I try to put our differences aside for them, when they want to visit auntie Neth, I allow them, because they deserve to see you.

So do not tell me I do not have the right to talk to the little Star, when I do everything for him and his brother.
