the fable smp fandom in their natural habitat

The species known as the Fablest Fandomus (commonly known as the Fabdom) was named via their hyperfixation, which is known as the "Fable s m p" (each letter of smp said as if forgein), this species of fandom is often seen crying over "lore" that they watch, even if its seen that they enjoy it.

This species also is known to have sub categories, known as:

The"Fanartist": often known to draw their favorite "blorbo", most likely drawing them sad, or in a simple form

The "Fanfiction writer": seen writing increasingly 'angsty' things, and shown to experience joy when their fellow Fabdoms cry over their most recent works

The "memeist": commonly seen doing what my coweorkers describe as "being dumbasses"(whatever that means), taking odd screenshots of funny moments during episodes, or taking them from another medi-a

The "Theorist": these Fabdoms can be seen creating theories about the "Fable s m p" and its lore, paying attention to the small details

The "casualious": the Casualious, often seen consuming the other species members works, not sticking to a certain media, simply enjoying existence

[the voice begins showing vague emotion, sounding more robotic and yet still...sad]

The species known as Fablest Fandomus is a very friendly species, welcoming to new members, happily answering questions to other members of the Fandomus tree

hey guys!! im currently brainstorming some event ideas, but me and my friends are torn, so this is the most informal of interest checks!! more info about each event idea will be below the cut. theyre all mcyt-specifc, though some may be specific to certain smps, so keep that in mind!

(they may become more multi-fandom in the future, we just wanna keep things somewhat small for now! we have some ideas for zines and zine-adjacent projects, but those will have their own interest checks once we get a handle on other events!)

MAP

-> this is the most straight-forward idea -- a MAP (multi-animator project)!! mods would find songs we enjoy, and let our animators vote! we would not require specifically animatic; animatics and stills would be fine! this would either be a larger tribute to multiple servers, OR it would be specific to one (probably QSMP, sorry non-QSMP enjoyers!)

Curse Event

-> this could go with either individuals or teams, depending on what is most popular! one person/team would have a "curse" (a specific phrase, trope, theme, idea, or other element present in their work), which they would spread to others by "attacking" them, a la Artfight. it would be almost murder mystery-esque!

Saw Trap Event

-> our silliest idea so far. creators are given a handicap of some sort, then have to create using that handicap by a deadline. if their work is not complete, or does not have the handicap, then they get an additional handicap for the next round! completing rounds removes handicaps, and it would be like a multi-round exchange!

Yandere Event

-> each participant is given one individual as their "interest". you are now parasocially attached to this person, and want to create for them while "attacking" everyone around them (similar to the curse event), without getting caught! you dont want anyone to know who your interest is, so try to keep it anonymous!

Escape Room

-> probably a team event!! each team would follow "clues" and have to create for each clue. once your clue has been solved and your creation is complete, you move on to the next clue. once you solve all the clues and create all the pieces, you escape! this could either be a different team member creating something each round (with input from team members), or everyone working collaboratively on one piece! an art piece with one person doing sketching, another lining, another coloring, another rendering; a webweave where half the teams finds elements and puts them together, and the other half writes or draws new elements; a fic with multiple authors. the world is your oyster!

Fable ending this week reminds me of when Mighty Nein ended. Both the excitement for the finale and the wondering how the story could possibly already be wrapped up I've seen around the fandom space, and my own emotions and plans around it.

Mighty Nein ended years ago now, and I still make fanworks and cosplay for it and likely will continue to do so.

And Fable, well... my costuming special interest is satisfied for now after finishing my Enderian Dress, but - I have so many fanfic ideas still so there is that.

The non cannon ships is like people taking pieces from the cannon ships and making their own little boat.

It won't sail, probably won't even float. But you made it and you're proud of it.

i love how even though fable smp has ended (watching lore, wise), the cast is still talking about their lil guys. like they all still want to share canon things that couldn’t make it in bc minecraft and they still have headcanons that they want to shove into our faces and say they think it’s silly and cool. i think it’s neat. the cast being so active in the community that they have created is really cool. i’ll see multiple cast members like a post of mine and i’ll be happy that they enjoy my ideas.

having the creators of the community interact with the fans genuinely makes the fandom more enjoyable <3
