I posted these on the Fable Discord but here's the frames I had for the eternally unfinished Aax epilogue (obviously not all of them are finished)

silly little fish fam (Aax, Ulysses, Vorago, Casus, Ocie, and all respective kiddos and S/Os) headcanons because I care them:

Fenris is inexplicably at every family gathering. He ends up there through some means, maybe he was in the area by coincidence, maybe he needed to drop something off to someone and ended up staying a bit. To the point where he is just extended an invitation to all their little gatherings. (in reference to the fact he was the only non-ocean-y guy at the whole freeing Casus stream)

Casus teaches Aax how to play card games. Most of them are gambling, but that is how they bond. Casus wastes no time in teaching Dae when she meets her

I think if Aax ever got to the point of calling them parental titles, Vorago and Ulysses would be Dad/pops interchangeably (I feel like Ulysses is a very 'pops' sorta guy. He just has. The Energy) and Casus would just be Ma.

Casus and Vorago didn't exactly want kids, but having an adult Aax is a good middle ground for them.

I saw the post Connor made about how Vesperae would absolutely act as a parent to Aax if Aax wanted and I feel like they would. They went from having no family for SO long that they're immediately just like "you're my parent now, we're having soft tacos later"

While idk if Casus and Vorago would be great parents to a young kid, they are absolutely amazing grandparents. spoil the shit out of the little guppies

'guppy' is definetly a nickname for any of the kiddos

FISHING TRIPS. they go on fishing trips as a family.

I saw a headcanon about Ocie making the beach at New Seaside into a wave pool for all the kids like once a week and that. I want that. acting like the Ocean from Moana but like, from across the beach. One of them starts doing something they're not supposed to while out in the water and she just. Yoinks them back to their parents. Too exhausted to go around and play with the kids in the water but still want to pay attention to them? Solution: become ocean from moana

Because of Casus immediately teaching Dae how to play card games, she is able to beat like anyone. her skill at playing cards is unmatched because she was trained from such a young age. (and maybe her grandma is the goddess of luck and may occasionally push things in her favor but if she does, no one needs to know)

They hang out at the sea dragon all the time, it's their favorite little spot to catch up.

I regularly think about and how after they got their memories back, Ulysses was so distinctly trying to put his own emotions aside and put Aax’s emotional state first and was all like

“You don’t need to view me as a parental figure, that’s such a big role and I would never press that kind of emotional attachment onto you, especially considering all we’ve been through, and (blah blah blah)…”

And Aax just looked at him and was like “shut the fuck up dumbass obviously you’re my dad now, we’re going to play catch in the park.”

And you know what, Ulysses immediately jumped at that and cried about it he loves his test tube child unconditionally ajsgskgsk 🫶

Veah and Cari head canons :]

- when they're old enough to use elytra, Cari and Caspian fly around the Grove with the wind,

- Veah ends up being really protective of Cari after they're born, to the point where if Cari has a nightmare, or cries in the middle of the night, She's running to their crib before Rae or Caspian.

- Rae taught Veah how to hold Cari,

- When they were both babies, Rae would hold Veah and Cari in his arms and carefully dancing around the room singing to them.

- Rae taught Caspian the lullaby Isla used to sing to him, and one night Rae woke up to Caspian holding Cari against his chest and quietly singing to them. (And yes- Rae got up and sang along before the three of them fell back asleep)

- Veah taught Cari the Happy Hare dance- Who then taught Rae, Caspian, Aax and Fenris

- Cari sees Aax as another parent figure, usually using the term "Par" to refer to her. They picked this up from Oscar and Len

- Despite being the quiet one, Cari is a chatterbox with whoever they're most comfortable with. This has ended up with Rae and Cari having a full blown conversation about a random subject, then Ulysses or someone else walks into the room, and Cari stops talking, and ends up whispering in Rae's ear if they have a question. (What no I'm not projecting from when I was a kid nooooo)

- Ocie babysat Veah and Cari *once* (she taught them how to cuss, so when The Dads™ came home, Veah looked at Fenris and said "Aunty Kai taught us the word Shit!!"

- Cari watched Rae sew, embroidered and knit clothes, in a very similar way to how Rae watched Isla teach herself.

- When Veah first saw Cari asleep in their crib, she reached in and gently put her hand on their head

- Athena and Bruin taught Veah and Cari how to make flower crowns, Veah always wears Lilacs while Cari wears Dandelions.

Listen I keep having so many thoughts and feelings about these blorbos children- I luv them sm

“would you fall in love with me” is boarder line s2 ghaae with rae’s runaway arc (i think). rae not feeling deserving of the love that his partners give him bc of warden at night shit and cas and aax say “wtf are talking about. we’re always gonna love you, the hell are you on about” they proceed to prove rae wrong and that he is their boyfriend
