it's a question she's asked herself many times. what happens when you can't keep doing it / what happens you don't want to keep doing it. considering her own experience as a leader of the brotherhood of steel, it's not easy waking up every morning. a solemn world with bleak hope, even with lyons pride, it's not painless. a conversation she had with her father resides in the back of her head, though: you make your own hope. with a small frown on her face, she contemplates the question for a moment. she knew what it was like to feel overwhelmed and unsure if you could keep going, but she also knew the importance of pushing through those moments. it was the only reason she was still alive after all this time. “well, when you can't keep doing it, that's when you dig deep and find that extra bit of strength inside you. you remind yourself of why you started in the first place, and what's at stake if you give up now.”

taking a deep breath, her expression softens slightly — voice steady and determined, her right-hand moving to rest on audrey's shoulder. “but, more importantly, you remember that you're not alone. we're all in this together, fighting for the same thing. you, me, the brotherhood... as long as we keep fighting, there's always hope.”

watched the cr34tor today and ngl...it was pretty ass BUT it got me thinking about f4llout sy/nths and...especially my old crush on this guy

so have some hcs for him that could possibly be applied to other sy/nths as well

-only used to peeing at the 1nstitute so gets super picky about peeing elsewhere, must find a proper facility

-maybe even freezes up and is unable to pee outdoors when he first starts traveling with you

-would probably fall into a fit of despair if he wet himself, he should be better he was BUILT better

-crack hc but maybe sy/nth pee can be like tracked somehow so he has to put off peeing around areas that are hostile to sy/nths if undercover

-not a hc but btw its canon that this generation at least of sy/nths have a mostly human body and can consume food so all of these hcs are valid B)

How is chapter 5 coming along for you? My own fanfic is coming along nicely,but it’s become way bigger than I initially expected,so it might need a few more days or so before it can be posted. I’m still not quite sure if I should either put it here or on archive of our own or both? This is all very new to me,since indeed I have written fanfics before but I’ve never,ever published them.... so it is kinda scary for me at the moment. Completely new territory for me

I'm glad you're going for it! I'd say publish on both, if you're comfortable with that. It's great trying something new that you've been wanting to do! Can't wait to see what you come up with! (=′ω′=) I know it can be a little intimidating, especially when you have a big idea, but you just have to start. You can't edit a blank page! Climb the mountain, and don't be afraid of what may change in your story, let the characters take you, that tends to help me.

As for chapter 5, I'm in the middle of writing it but I've been kinda hyperfocused on the whole chiyoumen au thing (I really like the idea of Hanfei and Lan Di. It's been a long time since I've done an AU that wasn't fully canon compliant... And something more self indulgent than my f4llout nick valentine one shots) That being said I'm kind of waiting for my boyfriend to go through Niaowu again so I can get the timing right, since I can't get a proper feel for it with just watching the cutcenes (I know, I'm weird. 🤣)

Should still be up sometime soon tho (I won't let the au take over my life) dbxjhsjd

1. today was day one of band camp! 8am-5pm every day out in the sun. it’s exhausting, but a good kind of exhausting.

2. debate is starting soon! (corona permitting, that is.) I’m so so excited for it lol

3. I kinda want to join theater, but also idk how I’d balance that with debate, band, and four/five AP courses. I might join tech crew, though, or maybe the pit orchestra.

4. I’ve found myself enjoying like hype pop songs lately? stuff like “Hail to the Victor” by Thirty Seconds To Mars and “Reckless” by JAXON GAMBLE. kind of out of the ordinary for me, but if anyone knows any good songs like that send them my way lmao

5. that one was kinda long so I’m just gonna end this by saying I love anything and everything chocolate :)

1. I have a huge huge irrational fear of dying by choking on something but like the stupidest things like choking on scissors, my mother says is because when I was born the umbilical string was around my neck and I was choking and the feeling stuck with me. Huh.

2. I’ve gone to a drama school for 5 years and been in various plays more than once playing a male character as I used to have really short hair. (Never sang though I love musicals but I sound like a dying hyena) 🎭🎶
